2441  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Why Coinmarketcap and Coingecko help scammers ? on: April 30, 2023, 09:19:06 AM
So instead of the warning you want them to mark those reported as scams, in the first place they are not an investigator they are not the police they are market aggregators if reported they will post notifications about the status of the project, so investors and holders can exercise caution and take further necessary action.
Issuing a warning is already ok since they do not have all the evidence and they are not a judge to mark it as a scam, it's better this way than not having a warning at all, there are platforms where investors can check about the status of the coin they've invested.

2442  Economy / Reputation / Re: Someone's using my video as bounty entry without my permission or consent on: April 29, 2023, 09:05:24 PM
People will say tag and others will say don't. I feel the tag is just as the user has shown he cannot be trusted to make a trade with as he is low enough to steal videos for a few tokens.

I tag him and hopefully cheezcarls' and my tag will help other bounty managers to not include him on their campaign and this make their job easier, bounty managers don't like cheaters in their campaign which is why bounty managers asked for POA and a link of your Bitcointalk profile and username to your work.
This guy is hoping that he can get away, he must have been doing this for quite some time because of his number of posts and participation in the bounty campaigns.
2443  Other / Archival / Re: Sinbad.io Mixer - secure, fast and easy to use on: April 29, 2023, 02:44:11 PM
Well noticed!

Users will me notified in case there are any significant changes like new domain addresses, Telegram links, etc
All official information can be found in the ANN and on the website it leads to
Everything else must not be taken seriously

Yes! and they're also redirecting people to a different telegram:

Code:
t.me/SinbadMixer

The real one as we have seen on the ANN is: t.me/sinbadio_english

Going forward, I would consider any other domain names not mentioned in the ANN as a phishing attempt since I imagine sinbad would update us on all their official handles as they are advertising here plus people get to be on the safe side this way. My advice is to bookmark the links and the ANN thread.

It really is a concern when phishing sites want to take the credit from the real one checking this

Code:
sinbadmixer.io
on whois they have an extension of their domain for 3 years I think the management should put a warning on the existence of these clones and phishing sites and check if they are on the right Sinbad mixing site, like what Pancakeswap is showing on their page.
2444  Other / Meta / Re: TalkImg.com - Image hosting for BitcoinTalk on: April 29, 2023, 11:41:52 AM
Have tested it on my current avatar and I like that they have a lot of options when it comes to the sizes, I have bookmarked and will definitely be one of my options, I hope you can sustain it, is this hosted on a dedicated server I hope you can find a way to monetize it either from donation or from ads.

Checking whois it's good to know that you have already paid two years for the domain, I'm sure if you opted for donation or showing ads it will cover before the domain expires, once traffic starts to increase you're going to get a lot of advertising offer

2445  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Losses In Gambling That Still Haunts You Until This Day on: April 29, 2023, 04:33:11 AM
Date/year: around 2017
Amount or Figure: 1~3 Bitcoin
What Game: mixed (dice, mines, blackjack)

at that time I deposit that amount and got a profit of around 2 bitcoin but when I try to withdraw sadly my deposit still not got any confirmation then I keep playing while waiting for my deposit got confirmation.
then the next I know is i got too many lost streaks then i make a big bet to recover all my loss but the bet was lost then all of my balance was gone just like that.

Thank you for posting and being honest I thought I'm the only one I too lost 4 BTC Bitcoin back in 2016 when Bitcoin was just over $700 I was a new player on dice of course the martingale is the culprit, I should have an insight back then that I just hold that Bitcoin imagine if I hold that 1 Bitcoin for just one or two more years.
Those years are when you have to extend your patience and have strong hands and insight, but sometimes greeds come first before insight

2447  Economy / Gambling discussion / Losses In Gambling That Still Haunts You Until This Day on: April 28, 2023, 10:40:39 PM
We all suffer from gambling losses because this is how things are you win some lose a lot and we have to be responsible for all our actions while we are playing

But Do You Have losses In Gambling That Still Haunts You Until This Day like you could have bought a new car with that loss
I will not ask how you overcome or deal with it but the year and amount or a figure and on what game

I've created a format to follow

  • Date/year :
  • Amount or Figure :
  • What Game :

It's ok not to mention the amount only the year or the game for reference or any one of the three

Code:
[li]Date/year :[/li]
[li]Amount or Figure :[/li]
[li]What Game :[/li]
2448  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Boost Your Coin Project's Visibility and Attract Investors with Tokenmarketcap on: April 28, 2023, 09:30:38 PM

TBH we don't need any more solutions to the problems which are already solved.
- https://coinmarketcap.com
- https://www.coingecko.com

These are already good enough and no point in future I see where your project will overtake these, maybe an option is to start listing shitcoins and then they promote it for you? wastage of time and money overall.
Good luck with the project.  Wink

I agree with some of your points this is a good platform for shitcoin to gain visibility because they are going to be listed here for the life of this website, there are no parameters, no requirements, just pay to get listed even if a token has no volume, a clear shitcoin no wonder your platform is full of shitcoins.

Quote
⭐How to get listed on TokenMarketCap?
To list your coin on our site for an unlimited period of time, you must pay $50 . Payment is made only once and your listing remains for life.

I don't think any investors will use this platform for lack of great features that can help investors and traders, I'll still go for the two top market aggregators.
2449  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bitcoin price trajectory gamit ang AI on: April 28, 2023, 12:19:34 PM

Kahit na maperpekto ang AI, no one can fortell the future.

2450  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Do u think that the body governing need to re-strategize ? on: April 28, 2023, 09:19:47 AM
They will look for loopholes to impose their authority, Satoshi's whitepaper clearly stated that he created Bitcoin to fight control of the banking industry and the banking industry is the main tool of the government to impose and take out privacy, banks have secrecy laws but a simple court order will divulge everything about you, so they will not yield on the privacy and decentralization brought by Cryptocurrency.
Just check the CEX's TOS and you will see how they impose their authority, they will accept it (cryptocurrency) as long as they can impose their rules.
2451  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto (btc) is not for the weak on: April 28, 2023, 08:28:33 AM
Crypto currency as a whole despite its advantages can be very risky. It appear to me as a battlefield where only the strong can survive and weak ones will eventually give up. I came across this and it worth sharing not to scared us but to build hope in us that we are not alone on this.
It was reported that about 17 wealthiest investors and founders lost about $116 billion in less than a year.
Quote
As a result, 17 of crypto’s wealthiest investors and founders have collectively lost an estimated $116 billion in personal wealth since March, according to Forbes’ estimates. Fifteen of them have lost more than half their fortune over the past nine months. Ten have lost their billionaire status altogether.
The data you provided maybe accurate but it is not permanent once Bitcoin surges there will be massive changes, I don't think these whales will dump their share of Bitcoin to cut their losses, they are the industry giant and they've been to a lot of changes, remember CZ, when Bitcoin was dropping during the pandemic, announced that he will not dump his shares no matter what.

If you ask these whales I don't think they are bothered by what they are seeing in the market because they knew what lies ahead they have insight and they should not show they have weak hands because they are the industry giant and people are looking at their actions.
2452  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which crypto wallet is better to take for a beginner? on: April 27, 2023, 11:16:21 PM
Which crypto wallet is better to take for a beginner?
I started on blockchain but I never recommend it now because of the security issue then came the desktop versions I tried Exodus and Electrum and I never go back again from using an online wallet

Quote
Now there are many varieties, there are screens, there are ordinary ones, there are also cheap and expensive ones, how to choose and what to rely on?
Your end goal is to buy a hardware wallet but if you still have no option to buy it yet, I highly recommend Exodus because they have a monthly upgrade and Electrum, both are convenient and feature-rich.
But your main priority is knowledge of how to secure your wallet, the best wallet is not secure if you are careless, remember you are your own bank, and a bank is always on a threat of intrusion, so employ the best security measures, and you are good to go.
2453  Local / Pilipinas / Re: For how many years ngayon lang ulit nag balik sa bitcoin world on: April 27, 2023, 02:22:30 PM

2454  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PayPal Vs Bitcoin: Who is the Big Guy? on: April 27, 2023, 01:27:51 PM
I was a long-time user of Paypal, For almost 7 years I was restricted 3 times not because of my fault but because of projects and individuals I transacted, they are (Paypal) hard to deal with you need to submit all the requirements and you even need to call them for an interview and it will take several weeks to two months to get access to your funds, all Paypal users can relate to my story

The big breather for buyers and sellers is the discovery of Bitcoin, after I discovered and first made my first transaction on Bitcoin that's the time I dumped Paypal, so when it comes to comparison, on stats, volume, popularity, and adoption, Bitcoin has a big edge and considered a Big Guy.

I'm sure everyone will agree.
2455  Other / Meta / Re: Why did moderator moved my topic to off-topic? on: April 27, 2023, 11:46:53 AM
The latest update of google 2FA app will let your 2FA to synchronize to google cloud, I am telling bitcoin users that may not want that. I posted it on beginners and help but it was moved to off-topic where useless post is full of.

This is the topic: Google authenticator synchronizing with google online cloud

Does this kind of topic belongs to off-topic?

If you added this

for Bitcoin users
or there's a post in your thread that specifically teaches or instructs Bitcoin users it would not have moved in the off-topic, but your post is still good and considered as an awareness post.
The majority of the posts in the beginners and help are all about Bitcointalk, Bitcoin, and Cryptocurrency related you have to connect your discussion on these three.
2456  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jason Moloney vs Vincent Astrolabio WBO 118lbs Title (May 13) on: April 27, 2023, 05:27:43 AM
I have Astrolabio in this fight, among the new crop of Filipino fighters Vincent is a cut above the rest he can take a punch has a good defense, and is a power puncher, he is one exciting boxer to watch maybe a tame Pitbull he is not afraid to get hit to get a hit of his own. Jason is a good technical fighter but in his fight against Inoue, Inoue just eats his punch he has no respect for Moloney's power, if Astrolabio can take his punches he is in big trouble.
Moloney's chin is a big suspect here, this is going to be an exciting fight because both fighters are not afraid to engage.

Based on the article Astrolabio opted to fight Moloney instead of Rodriguez because Rodriguez is a tough fighter to deal with than Moloney, his team has a good decision to fight Moloney but they still have to train Astrolabio hard, even if they think their chances are good.

Quote
Astrolabio and Rodriguez were ordered to enter talks for a title fight that seemed all but certain to make its way to the schedule.

Astrolabio’s team instead fancied a shot at Moloney in the second official bantamweight title fight in the post-Inoue era. Fittingly, first up is the April 16 vacant WBA title fight between Takuma Inoue—Naoya’s younger brother—and Liborio Solis in Tokyo.
2457  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: I was scammed to invest and left with a watch only wallet on: April 26, 2023, 09:17:02 PM
I'm not sure if there's anything I can do but I invested allot (all I have) in "forex" and it turns out to be a scam. I was left with a 'watch only' wallet. Any advice?

My advice to you is to follow the right format in creating a scam accusation
Code:
[b][color=black]What happened:: [/color][/b]

[b][color=black]Scammers Profile Link: [/color][/b]

[b][color=black]Reference Link: [/color][/b]
[b][color=black]Amount Scammed: [/color][/b]
[b][color=black]Payment Method: [/color][/b]
[b][color=black]Proof of Payment: [/color][/b]
[b][color=black]PM/Chat Logs: [/color][/b]
[b][color=black]Additional Notes: [/color][/b]

This is not yet an accusation but a story because you did not drop the name of ForEx and the amount that you lost, it will all depends on the name of ForEx and its reputation in the Forex industry and we will all  base it on the information you provided like screenshots of the conversation if you did a violation, and if the Forex can be called out to go here to address the issue then the better to address this issue
2458  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Projects Visibility (Sig Campaigns) in Bitcointalk. on: April 26, 2023, 02:33:24 PM
It's a great effort, I appreciate it. There is a misinformation that Yo!Mix is not based on the concept of green zone, but rather on a $30 bonus.

Adding some graphic visual representations instead of tables will make the comparison between these advertising campaigns better.

I also appreciate it this takes time and effort, I recommend OP add the word

Reference
so it will read

Reference: Projects Visibility (Sig Campaigns) in Bitcointalk

Because this is a reference thread, you have to update it and members will come back or subscribe to get a notification in case there is a new change or check what is added to the list.

Reference thread is hard to configure you must have good knowledge of forum codes., and you always have to come back to update new entries.
2459  Other / Meta / Re: Newbie are wearing avatar in their accounts on: April 26, 2023, 01:18:40 PM
As you can see, these accounts were created a very long time ago. Back then, newbies were able to wear avatars.
SMF or small machine forum is the software forum that we are using, by default even a newly created account can upload an avatar he can choose from the gallery or upload his own until Theymos customized the forum, which you need to rank so you can upload your own image.

This is a default forum profile area of SMF software.
