2441  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The journey of successful business man who were professional gamblers on: March 16, 2023, 11:59:51 PM
Most of these guys have some background in business management before they became gamblers and became successful in their respective careers. I mean, they already know the ins and outs, they know how gambling houses work, they just have to put in the money, get their network informed, and pray for luck to favor them and bam! You have a successful business! Not everyone has the way of thinking like these people, so even if we are all gambling degenerates here, we won't be successful like these guys if luck isn't on our favor.
2442  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: March 16, 2023, 11:47:23 PM
There might be something wrong with the current roster of OG because they have not won a map yet. It is 1-0 right now between Liquid and OG but Liquid is already 6K ahead of OG on the second map. It looks like OG will be 0-2 in standing this early in WEU. Given they had face strong opponents (Tundra and Liquid), I never thought they could not take the matches to a distance.

Gaimin Gladiators lost to Ooredoo Thunders, 2-1. I was not able to watch the game so now I am intrigued with OOredoo because GG is not an easy opponent but they defeated them. GG easily defeated team Liquid which speaks a lot to ooredoo defeating GG.
If OG goes 0-3 tomorrow things might get concerning but I hope they'll bounce back tomorrow for the final day of the week 1 since they'll be up against Ooredoo Thunders and I think it's one of their best chance to get their first win.

On the other series though, Ooredoo Thunders handing Gaimin Gladiators their first loss was surprising, I guess they just had a bad day which can happen to certain teams like how Tundra underperformed during the major.
OG is going through some very troublesome games. Team Liquid and Tundra Esports didn't even win a map in their match. I watched the Liquid match, especially in the game they picked Furion, Liquid was extremely finishing. Furion cast gold all over the map and they finished the game right away.
What do you think of the OG - Ooredoo Thunders match guys?
OG seems likely to continue losing, after these matches it is clear that there is a problem.

It's obvious that they haven't really played much as a team for long. Yuragi is also in a pretty terrible shape given how bad he plays and how many times he needed help even though the situation could have been avoided. Give it a few more games and I'm pretty sure OG will figure something out. They're up against Ooredoo Thunders and I think they could win on this matchup, provided that they catch that synergy and start rolling the ball before the enemy starts doing their own thing. Pretty sure Chu can do his magic and win with the boys.
2443  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Random Number Generator and it's importance in Online Casinos on: March 16, 2023, 11:09:12 PM
Casinos use a more highly-sophisticated random number generator system and I think it paved the way to a lot of games that we enjoy in the casino right now. No matter how sophisticated or how secure these RNG algorithms are, I believe that it should be audited by external auditors to make sure that whatever technology is being used by these casinos, it doesn't have any backdoors or any exploits that the casino can use for their advantage. We're all for fair play and an enjoyable experience, and I don't think it's fair and enjoyable if the casino can tweak some settings then bam! You're on a losing streak.

Team Secret is on the eyes of many as of now due to the roster changes that they've recently announced. Now, there's another known team which is the Nigma Galaxy and they're taking another addition not to the roster but to their team with a coach.

They've welcomed "March" as their new coach. After helping Execration to reach Lima major, he's now being taken care of Nigma Galaxy as their new coach.

While the former Nigma's coach, "ImmortalFaith" goes to Geek Slate as their new coach.

Koreans are not the best players but they certainly excel in the coaching position. They lend insights and strategies that not a lot of teams and coaches in the West can provide, possibly due to their roots in SC2 and other MOBA/RTS. The remnants of the MVP team are the only ones remaining in competitive Dota if I'm not mistaken, and others such as Febby still pursued playing Dota but only as a streamer.

Hoping that NGX finds success with the new coach in the roster, and hope that they have fixed whatever internal issues they may have leading to them placing badly on a lot of the more recent tournaments they're in.
2445  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Transaction fee. on: March 13, 2023, 11:48:48 PM
I no longer use sites that track mempool and current fees/byte to get your transaction in the next block. I use electrum, and I always use the minimum that they have at the time of my transaction and so far it’s doing well. Never had any delayed transactions and usually get my confirms in the next block or two. If I overpay on fees, I usually just let it be because it’s only a few cents at best anyways, so I do not feel the need to be bitchy about the fees especially when everything is already pre-calculated for me that still gets my transactions through the network.
2446  Economy / Economics / Re: Americans go to Mexico for medicals to cut costs. on: March 13, 2023, 11:28:03 PM
I wouldn’t blame the Americans. They have a health system that prioritizes those who can pay compared to those who cannot. When I compare the prices of a lot of basic health needs in the US here in our country, I can’t help but think that I’m still somewhat blessed to be here and receive all of those simple medical and dental care without paying a fortune for them. The quality is almost the same for the two countries, and the only difference is the technology that is being used and that’s it. If I’m an American and I will have to pay so much for healthcare, might as well fly outside the country and be treated there while getting more for my money. Such a flawed country with healthcare, really.
2447  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gamble continuously because have surrendered to the situation on: March 13, 2023, 10:29:54 PM
That is what I don’t understand too. Losing everything doesn’t mean you have to throw away your hope in the bus too. I’m pretty sure there were a lot of chances for this young man to turn things around but he simply just chose to gamble because he believed that there is no longer any hope for him and his family. Instead of abandoning his gambling activities, he still pursued it believing that it could help them someday. Wrong mentality and obviously, a huge mistake for him to just throw it all away because of a mistake that can be corrected if only he is willing to.
2448  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A costly gambling mistake on: March 13, 2023, 07:25:49 PM
This is what newbies are usually oblivious about. They think that just because they are depositing to the casino, they think that they won't be treated fairly and justly by the casino and that they will always have the free pass when they break ToS. When they're handed what they deserve, they spread rumors and lies like wildfire and try to get the sympathy of a lot of people here making the casino that they played on look bad. Oftentimes, when the casino already replied with their side, these users who obviously broke the casino's terms just disappear. Always has been the case on casinos that only enforces their ToS.

And I think a lot of other users here are right, I don't see this as a costly mistake even on the user who just deposited their money in the casino. It's a rookie's mistake at best, though nothing costly since for sure the gambler would be careful in depositing huge sums if he/she knows that there is a possibility that he/she is committing something against the terms of the casino.
2449  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: March 12, 2023, 11:51:56 PM
I'm already looking forward to the next Formula 1 race and whether Alonso and Aston Martin can keep up the performance and fight for the podium with Ferrari. It looks like RedBull is very dominant and no other car is as strong.

I'm also looking forward to the start of MotoGP, but I expect Ducati to be very dominant this year, just like RedBull in Formula 1.

At this point, Red Bull should just compete at the league of its own, breaking its previous lap records one after another Cheesy The 2nd and 3rd position of this season is what's really exciting for me, and I have no doubt that Red Bull will always dominate this season consistently given how beast of a car they just have made. But yeah, the real battle is between Aston Martin and Ferrari now, and I guess a lot of people here will agree with me that it's boring to watch F1 races knowing who's going to be the champion, so we have to create a little bubble of entertainment for ourselves.
2450  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: March 12, 2023, 11:32:45 PM
The first map of NiP and 00 N seems easy. Currently, as I'm watching it, 11-3 on its score in favor of NiP. But this is just the first map of the game and there could be 2 more or just one more.
It doesn't really look good for 00 N as of typing this but who knows I'll be back at this post that I was wrong with my speculation or if they managed to have a comeback for the 2nd map.

You got to love 00N though. Even though they were being pummelled left, right, and center, they are still hyped af whenever they are getting some wins on some rounds. They really just can't get around NiP's rotation but in terms of raw aim they can perform well and go h2h against NiP. What I seem to notice is that they don't have a solid awper compared to Headtr1ck who's been really good on the gun. If they have one, mid battles would be easy and they can control most of the rotations which they simply just can't.

NiP just closed the map. Looking forward to a comeback from 00nation in the 2nd map which is Nuke, but I doubt it given that it's the pick of NiP.
Yeah, the first map goes to NiP and the map goes to 00N. Map 3 is very tight, as of watching it right now the score is tied at 9-10 in favor of 00 Nation.
It's about to end soon and I guess that it's just an icebreaker for 00N as they've won the 2nd map. You're correct that I've got to love them. And this map 3 seems to be favoring them now, they're too careful.

They've done it. NiP has a lot of good players but someone pointed out that they seem to not have any system or any methods that they need to use in order to take some rounds off of 00nation. I mean, Coldzera is obviously past his prime, but he's actually earned a lot more style points and got an even greater ADR and rating against most of NiP. Aleksib really needs to step up as an IGL and do something about the stagnance of his players. REZ is the only saving grace of NiP on most of those rounds, and headtr1ck sometimes steps up but they just couldn't if they haven't got anything to play with - no plans, no strats, no nothing.
2451  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fear of KYC requirements on: March 12, 2023, 10:54:21 PM
There are some casinos out there that uses their "no KYC requirements" adverts as a leverage to gain more users who are looking to play in a casino that doesn't ask for these things. There are still a lot of them out there up until now, though dealing with these casinos can be pretty tricky given that most of them ends up being a scam site. There aren't a lot of legitimate casinos left with no KYC requirements nowadays, because most have transitioned to no KYC upon registration, but upon winning X amount you'll be required to submit them.
2452  Economy / Gambling / Re: How succesful will AI projects be to win the house? on: March 12, 2023, 10:27:05 PM
Those who has the money and the capability to go on a long-standing battle against the house will win. It's about who's going to win the war of attrition, and so far the house always wins. No matter how smart or how capable the AI they are inventing is, there's no denying that the house controls a lot of the aspects of its platform and can even win against a lot of players by literally just serving them. I am for AI development, but I don't think there will ever come a time wherein an AI can defeat a sufficiently-funded house in the long run.
2453  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What tool do you recommend for recording slot and live games for disputes? on: March 12, 2023, 09:50:28 PM
OBS is the best one there is, although the file size can somewhat be huge after all the recording is done. You just have to get the right mix of quality and file size in order to get a somewhat acceptable end result in the end. There is also this one web-based screen capture application that they used on job interviews although I kinda forget what the app is. That, too, is acceptable although most of the time when I was using it, the file tends to be corrupted leading to a lot of frustrations and you not capturing what you really need to capture to file for disputes against the casino.
2454  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Street Gambling Risk on: March 12, 2023, 09:16:38 PM
Regardless of if street gambling is dangerous or not on the account that you might get shivved after bagging a win or looking at your opponent the wrong way, there's no denying that there will still be people who will be into that kind of thing. To them, no risk is great enough to stop them, heck they are already taking risks gambling out in the open with the shadiest people you will find in the hood, might as well risk your safety as well to put the cherry on top right?

in any case, it's wrong and illegal and unsafe and untrustworthy yes, but there's money to be made in these games and where there's money, people will flock into it no matter how shady or crazy the premise is.

Usually, the people who are into this are the same people who grew up in that neighborhood. It's obvious that gamblers wouldn't really play on that setup unless they have friends that can vouch for them and protect them in an event of an altercation, but if you don't know anyone from that neighborhood, it's best to just stick with online casinos or traditional gambling platforms. I know these street gambling dens can deliver fast-paced, high stakes games but the safety is really not their first priority.

2456  Economy / Economics / Re: Poor and Rich on: March 11, 2023, 11:57:26 PM
Rich becomes even more rich because they already have the capital and lots of leverage to make money. Easier to create something out of something than something out of nothing. The poor can be rich if they have the right connections and the right amount of luck, but that rarely happens that's why you keep on hearing the same phrase over and over again. Wealth creates more wealth, and those who don't have it would chase it forever, and it's an almost impossible task nowadays.

You can work forever on a higher position for a company but that wouldn't assure that you'll even get to a fraction of what a rich man has unless you invest amd begin making your money work for you.

Armel and Yamich are the two addition for Team Secret. They've announced it a few hours ago that they'll be the replacement for resolution and zayac.

Puppey has said something about these two players.

Team Secret's tweet: Our captain Puppey shares some perspective on our recent additions to the squad.

Not sure about Yamich but Armel can compete with the best of the mid laners in WEU. If given ample time for scrims, practice, and lots of tournaments, Armel can achieve success just like Abed did in previous EG. I really think that this pick up by Puppey is the best decision he's made, though I'm quite unsure of Resolution being replaced. He performed okay during their first stint of the year in the first DPC tour, while their previous mid laner needed to be dragged a lot of times on a lot of teamfights in order to be helpful to the team.

Hopefully they achieve some success on this new roster. I have lots of high hopes for Armel to do good in that region.
2458  Other / Off-topic / Re: Revolutionizing Artificial Intelligence: GPT-4 with 100 Trillion Parameters on: March 11, 2023, 10:09:18 PM
ChatGPT powered by GPT-3 is already a really ludicrous tool that you can use in your job. I'm currently waiting for the paid version but it's already doing half of my work for me in terms of proposals and reports. However, as to a lot of awesome things created in this world, there are still downsides to it.

It takes away the human creativity and we will, over time, rely almost everything on these AIs to do our work for us. True that it alleviates a lot of burden of thinking for us, but at one point it's quite alarming. If we became too dependent on these AIs, what then, could we achieve as a species if we quit thinking for ourselves and let the machines think for us?

But yeah, having the capability to process music, video, and a lot of other shenanigans and things would be cool, and I just hope we don't be too dependent on it, else it will start taking away our jobs especially on the entertainment and creative side of things.

It's great that freebitco.in still operates until now. I remember using them as a faucet service back in 2014 to try and see whether they'll really be giving me some bitcoins after I solved a captcha challenge, and boy they did! Never really followed them after 2016 and just heard that they were transitioning into a full-blown casino but still keeping their roots. Honestly, freebitco.in is the only faucet I can think off the top of my head that still operates until this day, and they were also the ones giving larger amounts back then compared to other faucets that were around at that time. Freebitco.in kept it real, and stuck with their community and now they have the capability to give out these prizes and bonuses.

Might as well check freebitco.in again and try my luck on that lambo Cheesy
2460  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you think about stop gambling services issued by gambling platforms? on: March 11, 2023, 09:18:43 PM
Gambling platforms can provide a stop gambling service, but if gamblers do not want it, they will not use it and may even continue gambling. Quitting gambling is the desire of every gambler, and only gamblers can be sure that they really want to stop gambling once and for all.

And I don't think it will backfire on the gambling platform because that choice will return to each gambler. But if some gamblers finally decide to use the service, the casinos also don't do anything. Still, new people will play gambling and take the previous vacancies.

True. The end result will always be on the gambler's side and not the platform, but it's nice to have these stop gambling feature in the platform if in case the gambler wants to stop what he/she's doing and really make a difference on his/her habits and whatnot. It won't really hurt the platform, and in fact it might even be a reason for some gamblers to transfer to the casino just because they have this thing that they think benefits the gamblers the most. Pro-gambler platforms are always liked upon and supported by a lot of people, even though it's just a front and in reality, the platform still profits a lot from these same gamblers that supports them.
