Manual Withdrawals to your Wallet (not to Exchanges!) are now (finally) active on https://bbr.suprnova.cc

Please check if you receive your funds and everything works as expected.

Thanks, oc

I'm currently testing my BBR implementation here:

https://bbr.suprnova.cc

As soon as I've got a Block I'll test & implement payouts and then open the pool to the public, you can test and setup your miners if you like, I've put the cmdstring in the Pools Header but please don't mine on the pool now until I have the payouts set up correctly.

Let me know if your hashrates don't match or you have any problems. Payouts are NOT enabled yet !!!

it's looking good  Wink

Thanks for helping out Smiley

I'm implementing payouts now, probably will need 24-48h.

Will let you know when everything is ready !

can i keep mining here ? i can wait for payout.

I wouldn't point all my miners to the pool yet, but no problem if you have one miner running, actually it's good so I can test calculations etc...  Does your hashrate match?

Can you tell me about your system setup (vm, bare metal, docker... ec2, physical, azure.... and the specs of the instance RAM, CPU, Disk space)? As well as the architecture around it (load balancers, cloudfront)

MBK's pool had problems with DDOS so I would like to know what a decent mitigation practice could be, that was also cost effective for the host

Only dedicated boxes on premium ddos protection plans and quite a lot of scripting and HA shebang in the background, you might want to do a simple traceroute to check where they are housed.  Also www.suprnova.cc should give you an insight about my other pools, I'm doing this for quite some time Wink

If you need more specs, drop me a PM.

yes, it does

Cool, I'll do the payout stuff within the next 24 to 48h

maybe you can raise difficulty, it's too low at the moment, at least x10

Yes, I saw that, already working on some better vardiff rules

Make sure you read our analysis paper, I need to keep an open dialogue with all large miners

Sure, I'll read it.

I just found a difference from the XMR payout scheme which needs more investigation and implementation, don't expect payouts to be working within the next 48h - so please mine solo, i'll let you know once I've got the changes done and everything is working as expected.

I'd need the scratchpad file for mining though...

sent you a pm

Ah yes, I think I've found the error, it'll be up soon.

Can someone give me an info which is the current correct source repo of this coin ?

https://github.com/BlockchainDevelopmentCompany/boolberry

This crashes randomly, especially when trying to mine to the wallet or

https://github.com/cryptozoidberg/Boolberry

which seems to work fine.

?!?

Thanks

Seems like you don't know what I'm able to do and you're underestimating me a bit Smiley

I've got my MPOS Cryptnote implementation ready and it would be a good test for it, I've already have a Karbowanec Pool up which is also Cryptonight/Cryptonote: (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1491747.0)

https://krb.suprnova.cc

This was the coin I used for developing/testing as it has/had quite low diff and it was easy to find some blocks with a few CPU/GPU's

But if you have good DDoS protection yet?
vide:

I'm trying to keep my pool online all the time cause I use it myself a bit. All pending payments are sent in all case. The only real DDOS attack was this August. It finished about a week ago. All connection issues should be resolved.

I'm doing pools not just since yesterday, DDoS protections is very good, don't worry Smiley

still probably want a new pool, or working old, no difference

Can we get working pool  Roll Eyes

I can set one up - MPOS based - can someone point me to the latest sources ? There seems to be some confusions and several forks out there.. ??!

This is a cryptonote coin.  I don't think you're going to be able to set up an MPOS based pool.  If you do that would be a first.

Actually I'm quite aware of what you can do.  I was thinking if anyone could get an MPOS pool set up for cryptonote it would be you.  I didn't know you already had a pool for Karbowanec.  What miner is needed?  Boolberry uses the Keccak algo and a scratchpad so it is different than other cryptonote coins.  I hope you can get a pool running for Boolberry.

Ah interesting, a different algo ?

KRB uses the same algo as XMR, which was my intention, I guess the RPC will be the same on BBR like on XMR or KBR, so I'll just have to work out the Algo.

Great, I'll have a look and let you know, which is the "legit" source for BBR now ? I don't understand the difference of the "Rune Edition" yet - was there a fork ? One is further developed the other one not ?

EDIT: Oh sorry I just saw your question, my pool works with every Cryptonight miner.. CPU or GPU... Wolf's miner etc.. Everything that works on the nomp based pools also works on my pool.

Hmm, so they faked the block explorer and "deleted" block 28 on purpose.. and people still want to mine it...

Is there a profitability calculator for LBRY?
Haven't been able to find one.
Good question, I was going to post the same one just now and saw you did already.

I think it would be a good home page add on for suprnova to have for the pools there.
It would make a miner's life easier.

I'll add one when I have some spare time, good idea

In this screen shot below, I rented some hash for 12 hours and pointed it at a pool.

Targeting for 88 second block times is working extremely well.

As mentioned in my previous post, we are also researching further changes which could assist in preventing malicious 51% attacks on the network.

One of these happens to be hard coded checkpoints. This is something which exists in Bitcoin and hard coded checkpoints would just be manual coded points in time.

It's strange that Ethereum doesn't have this already (or maybe I haven't looked far enough in the code) but it can help in the case of an unforeseen fork.

"Other" checkpoints which are more centralized in nature would require more thought/code and tend be semi-controversial.

Vitalik tweeted something recently:

If the centralized checkpoints confirm months of existing decentralized consensus, then imo they are totally okay

Essentially this is what we are trying to achieve while avoiding any scenario/solution that is overly centralized.

Easiest anti 51% attack protection :

Don't allow more than X blocks from the same node / same coinbase address at an interval of X minutes... No need to fuss with checkpoints,  checkpoint server etc..  Keep it simple.

I'll host a pool for you guys as well when you're ready, great work

I've learned that when guys like this show up....

Any plans you guys are implementing a stratum compatible mining rpc ?

I'd like to add a pool. Octane uses the same algo, got a pool for that already.

...miner dumps aren't far behind and it's time to bail.

Thanks for the compliment, the pool (https://sia.suprnova.cc) is up since quite a long time now and the price is only going up Smiley

Any way to solo mine LBRY "I'm finding about 2 blocks an hr on supernova but i'm only get around 27 LBRY.  a day

Try a different pool?

Suprnova has been the worst for me every time I try it, not sure why as the luck seems to be good. I've mined on Supr many times other coins with them but my LBRY always seems lower than other pools every time I try. I'm not claiming anything nefarious going on, I just don't really understand why this seems to be the case.

Could you guys please finally stop badmouthing all the pools in the thread.. No matter which pool comes into play, it's always "the worst for me"..

Suprnova is doing fine, check the stats, payouts are on spot, even a bit better for the last rounds, i'm mining myself on suprnova with several rigs and i'm also pointing rigs to other pools for comparison and there is nothing "worse" about suprnova, payouts are fine.

Make a 24h comparison and if it's really worse i'll gladly pay the difference !

PS: The original poster didn't even include a hashrate in his posts.. He said the "finds 2 blocks on suprnova but only gets around 27 lbry a day".. So what ? He has two 750ti's running and was extremely lucky or he had 20 rx480 running and was extremely unlucky or does he maybe even think he gets the full reward if he finds a block ??!

My apologies, I wasn't trying to badmouth anyone. I deleted my post in case it was construed that way.

Sharing accurate personal experience with pools is completely acceptable and I didn't read it as bashing. Us miners always appreciate the heads up.
I've been using suprnova for months now between SIA and now ETC so there is no bias against them from me.

All good, thanks for mining.
