2442  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: January 17, 2022, 09:34:09 PM
If in case, this will be another upset. That would be a terrible one for Spence Jr.
But in this fight, Spence Jr has a lot of advantages over Ugas.
This is why we are seeing that people are favoring Spence Jr over Ugas.
I believe even bookies will favor Spence here once they release the odds.
But would be interesting to watch as they fight for these unification belts.

Looking forward to that upset honestly Smiley I mean, what will be the reaction of the boxing community if Ugas will able to upset the heavy favorite Spence Jr.  It's a news that mostly won't be expected by anyone knowing Ugas is considered as a bonus round for Spence.

But the fact that Ugas defeated Pacquiao, I really considered it as a good achievement and not taking the reason that Pacquiao is already old. It's a bullsh*t reason for me that Ugas got that win because of that reason.

It will send another shockwave in the boxing community and in this division as everyone is jockeying for the position as the top dog. So if Ugas wins then definitely, he should be recognized as one of the best and he only have Crawford to defeat to claim the title of being the top 1 in the division.

Although Thurman is coming back, he doesn't have any belt so no bargaining power for him. He could fight Ugas but he should be the B-side then.

That will probably put Ugas at the top 1 as he will be holding multiple bet if he wins this fight. Crawford on the other hand would be happy as he only has to fight one fighter and will become a unified champion. Thurman is also willing to challenge the champion if he wins in his upcoming fight, so if Ugas will win here, he has a lot of option to fight with.
2443  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: January 17, 2022, 09:08:14 PM
I just don't know what's in the mind of Casimero as he is now focusing on his youtube vlog instead of his career. I hope that this is just for fun to him to be able to enjoy while there's no word yet from Probellum.

Casimero, i think needs to have a PR manager to represent him and screen out the words that needs to be released to the press, not raw where there are some misunderstandings that causes chaos and could damage his boxing career.
Is he focused in vlogging right now? Maybe he can manage his time well and he's got schedules to follow. There's no actual schedule yet for his match, right?
And as well as he's still in recovery that's why he's just doing what he can do. On his case, since vlogging doesn't really require physical contact, he's good to do it at any time that he wishes.

He can do some youtube videos like that will not distract his training or recovery, he has been doing that before so I think there's no problem with that. I think it's one way of reaching his fans to gain more support, so it's helpful to his career as a boxer. Though he is a trash-talking champion he still has plenty of followers and being a vlogger, he was able to give an update about himself.
Yeah, he's been with it for a long time and that's no problem to him. It's not even going to distract him as he can do those videos within a few minutes or hours and get back on track for his trainings.
I don't really see it as a problem to him unlike the others that think it's vital for him and shouldn't enjoy things like making YouTube videos.

There's no problem in making a youtube vlog as long as he is doing it in his free time and don't forget that he is a boxer that needs to train.

Yeah, he is enjoying vlogging and at the same time earn some money doing it.

My point on bringing this vlogging thing is that he seems to be occupied and stays in the Philippines until now, he is supposed to be in the US training while waiting for the Probellum announcement for his fight with Butler.

Butler is not so much of a threat to him because we all know the capability of Casimero. The real opponent for him this time is his self. The time when he split with Memo Heredia, he seems to hardly make the weight and that Dubai incident was a result of the absent of a professional nutritionist, IMO.

I guess the promoter will not make the fight happen right away, once they'll announce, they will give the boxers an ample time to train, so it's not a big deal because there's no announcement as to when the fight will happen yet, he can train in the Philippines and once announcement is made then he can just fly to the US.
2444  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will there be Metaverse regulations on Gambling on: January 17, 2022, 08:10:44 PM
Regulation is the main key for metaverse to succeed as that says the government is supporting them. The government could ban it or regulate it, but we like to see a positive development of metaverse concepts so it should be regulated. I can't imagine how to gamble in the metaverse as I have not used the platform yet, but if it can improve the experience without risking our privacy, then that is a good thing.
2445  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Forecast by Goldman Sachs on: January 17, 2022, 07:33:59 PM
Goldman Sachs predicted that Bitcoin could reach $100k in 2022 if it continues to overtake gold’s market share.

Approximately 2 percent of gold’s market cap ($700 billion) is held by the public. Goldman estimates that the public holds about $2.6 trillion in gold as an investment."
I definitely think that Goldman Sachs have been quite bullish on bitcoin for a long time. It is not a new story and they have been promoting it for a long time as well. It is quite obvious that they "want to" see it at 100k and that is why they are making speeches like that. Plus, they probably have some money in bitcoin and considering it is not their money and instead their investors money that means they also have to make public posts like this as well.

So all in all, I am definitely sure that they do believe what they are saying but also even if they didn't then they had to still say these things which makes their own words not credible enough at all.
I think bitcoin being to replace gold in the future is very possible as its now starting to prove to the people that there is more profits in bitcoin than in gold, and that bitcoin holds the highest store of value. When it comes to bitcoin reaching the price of $100k, many have been predicting it already so there is nothing new about it. Besides, it has started already in 2021 but things didn't work out well so maybe this year there will be chances for it to happen. We'll just wait and see.

for most young gen, they may indeed go into btc or crypto rather than gold when it comes to possible investments. but gold is gold and they have other usage outside the investments area. but anyway, when it comes to predictions, we will hear or read again a lot of this as we start another year. it is up to you how you will react on such speculations. at the end of the day, no matter how bullish people are, you are still the one who is responsible with your funds. and you should be smart on handling your funds because they won't care if you lose it or not.
This is not surprising as young generation are more risk takers and love to explore what's new to their eyes. Unlike the old ones, they prefer to stick with gold as its definitely the most old investment that even our own ancestors had been investing it already. But when it comes to profits, it no doubt that bitcoin overcomes gold. However, with bitcoin's predicting to reach $100k, i know it will be achieve once the market becomes stable again. But certainly not this time as the market is still heading into a bearish one.
2446  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you have any favorite superstititions when trading crypto on: January 17, 2022, 07:08:56 PM
Do you have any favorite superstitions when trading crypto
like for example if you get off the bed on the right side of the bed, your coins won't dump
wearing this color shirt keeps your portfolio in the green

I don't trust something like that but sometimes i'm more confident to trade with my laptop, i have a PC and a mobile which able to trade also but i'm more confident to trade with my laptop. I think it's not really a superstitions but just to make me like more confy to trade and reduce the mistakes chance.
These magical things won't work in crypto market because the ghosts are on digital yet  Cheesy
Even myself, i don't have something like that. Maybe in gambling, but not when it comes to trading. I just put my trust on myself that i can really do it. Although we cannot assure to make all our trading become successful and profitable, but as long as we have good strategies that will suit to us and we are aware when to trade or not, i think that will make one's trade not to fall in losses. And you are trading with established coins and not those shitcoins, then most likely you will have a good outcome from trading.
2447  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 17, 2022, 11:25:28 AM
game: Pistons vs Phoenix

I will trust the Phoenix to win on the road again.

They beat the Pacers (W 112 - 94) on their last game, and I think Pistons is just like the Pacers, or even worst, so I expecf the same result.

My pick : Phoenix -12.

Congrats mate, spread was indeed big but they covered it and dominate the Detroit Pistons. The result was 135-108 in our favor.
As expected they didn't had a hard time and certainly that wasn't tough one beating the Pistons, congrats again! Now the Suns are standing tall in the league with an almost .800 win percentage.

I also have the same bet with you mate, -11.5 for me. I said it might be difficult for the Suns to cover but in the end they can really do it and that's what happen here, even if they played on the Pistons homecourt, their competitiveness is very high specially Booker. It's also a high scoring game which really gives the Suns the advantage because this is their type of play.

So congrats to everyone who won in this game.

Nice one, I see some happy bettors here.  Smiley

Let's start betting for the upcoming games.
Game: Jazz vs Lakers.

I know that the Jazz are going to play a back to back game but they are hungry for a win, so I think they can beat the struggling Lakers who lost to the Nuggets by a very huge margin.  I don't want to overthink it, I will stick with my instinct and bet on the Jazz on the road.

My pick: Jazz -5.5
2448  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gary Russell vs Mark Magsayo WBC Featherweight Title on: January 17, 2022, 10:46:55 AM
Well, Magsayo is the challenger, he should be the aggressive, he cannot win if he cannot convince the judges but the better way to convince them is to KO Rusell, that's hard to do but it's possible if he study his opponent and train hard for this fight.

Judges would always favor the champion if the challenger is not aggressive enough unless it's pretty obvious that he boxes out the champion which we only see in rare cases. Since Magsayo is a knockout puncher, I expect a knockout in this fight, hopefully the champion will be the recipient of the KO punch.

I'm also expecting a KnockOut win, of course by our own Magsayo but Gary Russell is a tough one. We might see Magsayo dominating his previous opponents with that speed and power but those opponents are nowhere to the skills of the champion, Gary Russell. That will be the first time for Magsayo to face a dominant opponent in his career so everything will be new to him.

Just stay humble though. I like Magsayo's being optimistic but he should just show that on the ring, not via statement or speech.

Filipinos are not good in speech, lol.. They are good in the ring because actions speaks louder for them. I will root for him no matter how underdog he is, I know there's a value of my money on that odds and I don't mind losing also, that's a way to support, risk some money for the one you are leaning with.

I think it's about the language barrier though, it's not only Filipinos, but there are a lot like Mexico and Puerto Rican boxers and some European boxers who have difficulty expressing themselves.

Nevertheless it is not a barrier, like Manny Pacquiao, Canelo Alvarez and Loma (both who improved their English proficiency already).

Hopefully Mark would go to his hardship but it will not deter him to be a good boxer in the future.

If he can't express himself fully, he can use an interpreter to do the job, I think it's very important that every boxer would be able to express himself especially after a win as that's the best way to gain fans around the globe. Magsayo is very promising, if he wins this fight, the world will recognize him because he is a champion.
2449  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 17, 2022, 09:13:53 AM
Ben Simmons rumors are heating up...  I'm hearing that Sacramento might be willing to deal Fox now and that they might also be willing to take Harris' contract which is a bit ridiculous.  There's also supposedly a 3rd team that will be involved, but we'll have to wait and see.  Interesting that Simmons to Sacramento seems to keep coming back into play.  I think he really wants to be in California and is willing to play for the worst team in California to try and make that happen.  It seems like Fox is probably the best player that they'll be able to get back as well, so I think that is ultimately what the end result will be.

I thought initially that if they are going to get Simmons, they are going to partner him with Fox in Sacramento. But it seems that they have change their narratives? But I think its a win win for both teams specially if they will include Tobias Harris in the trade. Again, dealing Harris is for long term for the Sixers as they will clear their salary cap enough to get another big names in the future.

Win-win if both will maximize the worth of each player.

I doubt or I don't see the value of Harris. It will be a good trade for Sixers as like what you have mentioned they will unload big salary
cap which eventually will allow them to allocate more space and sign new star.

Though, hopefully Simmons deal will materialize so we can see him back in action, not a big fan, but I love players who can act two-way roles.

Let that trade happen soon, there's much speculation on Ben Simmons, he needs to be in a team again and see if he can contribute as expected. Sacramento are struggling this season, maybe they'll improve if they have Simmons in their line up, who knows, let's just see.
2450  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 2022 bear market? on: January 16, 2022, 11:53:04 PM
As we have seen the bull market of 2021, history has shown there to be a following of a bear market in the next year (2022). What are your thoughts so far and how do you believe it will play out.

I think the bear market is still just starting, btc should now be around 16-22k on average price until 2025.

Your thoughts?

Yes, it was a bull market in 2021, and bull market will not stay forever. Based on history, the bear market stays longer than the bull market so I think if 2022 is for the correction period, then we will likely see a bear market where the market will definitely struggle.

Hold on to the assets you trust, and learn to accumulate if indeed we will experience a bear market.

We all never know what will happen in the future, therefore everyone is free to predict what will happen in 2022. But we must not forget that Bitcoin
price movements are very difficult to predict, it is true that after a bullish event occurs, the next one will be bearish. The problem is that no one ever
knows how long the bearish will be in 2022. Because at any time the price of Bitcoin can suddenly be bullish again. Therefore, if we believe that
the future of Bitcoin is bright, what we have to do if there is a bearish occurrence is to hold Bitcoin until the bulls come. Because no matter how deep
the price of Bitcoin falls, it will always be able to recover again and will even rise even higher.
You are right. Since we don't hold the future, so we are free to make any speculations that we think might be possible to happen. And for me, the market is heading to a real bearish market since we all know that last year we were able to experience bullish, this time its time for bearish season again. The fact that we know that the market moves in its cycles, then we should always prepare for the worst and best that this cycle will bring.
2451  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Know when to buy and hold on: January 16, 2022, 11:27:18 PM
No body knows the market will dump up to what price it is. But this is already dump away, it's never too late as long as you want to hold  in the long run. But if the current price is still expensive, somebody can still wait for it according to the price that has been determined by each. Maybe if you expect the price will be cheaper, must be more patient to wait for it, until the desired price is reached.
If you can't buy at every dip because you think prices will be even more cheaper in the next days, then you should be more patient to wait for it. But you should also know that the market is very much volatile and price changes from time to time so there may be chances that you will not be seeing cheaper prices and end up missing another opportunity. Its always a good thing to prepare your funds always so you can make the best of it once an opportunity comes, knowing uncertainties always happen in the market.
2452  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Getting Used to The Market Situation is The Key to Becoming a Reliable Trader. on: January 16, 2022, 09:57:43 PM
I mean, if you don't get used to it, you're always going to make weird decisions backed by impulsive decision making,
You know we were all wired differently, I must point out that getting used to some situations that is being able to adjust and adapt is much more easier for some persons than others, trading IMO is much easier for such persons. For the others who dwell on situations and don't easily adapt to them, it is going to be a hassle. If you fall into that category, that is the type that don't easily adjust and get familiar with situations, you must personally strive to develop this ability to be able to keep up with the everyday drama in trading.
If you aim to be more profitable in trading, then you should have to be more familiar on the market scenario and get used to it. Not only that, you need to understand too why such scenarios had happened and what's it causes. Because it will certainly happen again and again so you have to prepare for it so you won't committing the same mistakes again. For newbies, trading will be tough at first because they are new to the market and is not familiar yet, but once they become used to it and knows the reasons why they are happening, then they will know how to dwell with it, by not being panic and keep patient.
2453  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin Price Enter the $30k Area? on: January 16, 2022, 09:00:10 PM
The first line of support is $40,000 if that breaks then $38,000 will be the next.

And the good thing is that the price seems to be stable at above those numbers so we are all good. Forget about the all time high though, I don't think that we are going to hit any in the next couple of years now.

We have reach the top last year and so this year might be a bearish one, just saying. But we can still go above $50,000 though, I think for the majority that price is very low because we are looking for 6 digits but we will have to wait.

You are certainly right about it mate, I mean everyone are really looking forward to see bitcoin price hit a 6 digit value and that was about before the year 2021 ends but sadly bitcoin didn't make it instead it sits on it's resistance price between $40K-$49K. That's why I do understand that this kind of thread will be open up, I mean OP is not the one here who fails to see bitcoin breaks it's own ATH even me, I do expect and I really wait to see bitcoin's another milestone. Truly unexpected things happen anytime so that's better to be prepared at all times, prepare for the worst case scenario.

If $40000 support gets broken automatically the market will experience a bear market atleast for some time period. Today it has tested $43k, and if this trend continues and broke the $45k there is possible chances of price touching $50k. As said people are more bullish about the market touching great price by this year. Fortunately there is more reasons for a bearish trend than a bullish move.
Right. I see more chances for bitcoin to drop again and fall into its bearish season as i see the market is slowly facing the bears already. Even if bitcoin will break $45k, i won't still be convince that we are heading again to the bullish season because i know majority here are already preparing to make buy orders since the market is giving signs of bearish. So if the bear season is finally here, i guess it will be very possible for bitcoin to go down to $30k level that gives everyone a very good opportunity to buy bitcoin.
2454  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC has crossed $43k what's next? on: January 16, 2022, 03:44:43 PM
Bitcoin is still within the range of $43 thousand, it could be stagnant,....
I think I already saw this kind of picture in the past, when it's stagnant, the movement will likely be bearish, so even though the price is cheap now, I would not buy it if I expect it will rise in a short period of time. When the market is bearish it's hard to expect that bitcoin will pump, because if it will, it would still  go down.
2455  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Thurman vs Barrios - Feb 5 on: January 16, 2022, 02:55:37 PM
Since the odds are out already, I can tell that this is going to be a popular fight.

Some fights have the odds available only days before the fight, but this one we have early odds where we can check and we can put our bet at the same time. We have the consensus here and the majority are bettong on Thurman to win.

The odds may change when the fight is close to the day, I would suggest not to bet, for now, stake.com has not even displayed their odd. Yes, this is a popular fight because both fighters possess titles in the past with a long list of winning streaks in the sport. Both are very experienced, I think this will be a very fair odd that there wouldn't be bookmakers' favorite.

It's not displayed in stake yet but they have listed it already.
https://stake.com/sports/boxing/international/international-matchups/42417168-thurman-keith-barrios-mario

While Sportsbet already has the odds available, you can check and maybe bet on the site.
https://sportsbet.io/sports/event/boxing/international/international-matchups/thurman-keith-vs-barrios-mario-61d9b083a4e1ed2e58bb37bd

Every nice odds for Thurman, getting 1.58 is not that bad knowing how good he is in the ring.

Barrios had a good chance of winning against Davis in his previous fight but he was hurt so it did not go to the scorecards.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VL741-fh_J0

he only has 1 loss but with Thurman, I think it will be 2 soon.
2456  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 16, 2022, 02:29:31 PM
My pick.

Game : Wizards vs TrailBlazers.

Portland are currently struggling, in their previous game, they lose to Denver by 32 points, so I cannot trust them against the Wizards. The spread is -7.5 for the Wizards but I think they can cover that as they can win at least 10 points in this game. Good luck and happy betting.

I'll be tailing this pick with you. Line is currently at -7, but I'm taking the -6.5 instead so as to avoid a potential push bet.

I've got my eyes on the Cavaliers again for tonight, it's a back to back game for them for against OKC I think they should handle it pretty easily the line is at -5.5 right now so that'd be it for me, and I'll be taking the Nets again (I'm breaking my own terms, I know) but it's so hard to overlook them some times.

Cavaliers -4.5

Brooklyn Nets -5.5

GL!

Congrats on the win,  sorry you tail me on the Wizards, can't believe they lose against the Blazers. Anyway, moving forward as always, and here's my early pick again.

game: Pistons vs Phoenix

I will trust the Phoenix to win on the road again.

They beat the Pacers (W 112 - 94) on their last game, and I think Pistons is just like the Pacers, or even worst, so I expecf the same result.

My pick : Phoenix -12.

2457  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When Greed Comes First in Trading, the Result is Bankruptcy on: January 15, 2022, 11:50:05 PM
Greed is very dangerous, Newbie thinks the trading as gambling due to their greed. They think that today they will put 1000$ tomorrow they will get 2000$. They don't even know what the project is about in which they are investing.
The most common mistake of newbies is they buy at high in FOMO and then sell at too low in panic.
If we have prepared ourselves before trading, then we should know by then that trading with greed will never end up profitable. It may result for some temporary profits that will boost you to get into another trading, but its always known that at the end of it, greed will only make you fall into losses. And if you have considered knowing the early traders, they are less driven with greed so most likely, they end up successful trades. Totally different with what we have observe with newbies right now since they are more on a FUD or FOMO and when the price gets dump, they resort into panic selling that makes them total losers in the end.
2458  Economy / Economics / Re: 2022 Savings and investment plan on: January 15, 2022, 11:21:22 PM
You know what I have learned from the last year up to now? Don't panic. That's the main lesson that gets me through trigger-happy selling. And I'm not saying that you need to be one of those crypto preachers that yell from the top of their lungs not to sell, hodl forever, and such bullshit. It's not that, it's just the fact that if you miss out on one opportunity, that doesn't mean another won't present itself sometime in the future. Patience is key here, so don't dwell on missed opportunities, look forward to new ones.
Exactly. Since we all know that this crypto market is very volatile and that's why we see prices keep on fluctuating, so there is no room to be panic since all of these are just for temporary. Prices may definitely be dumping this time, but in the next days or months, we will see them pumping again. So patience is what we should always keep. If we aim for more profits this year, then we should be more knowledgeable, be more focus and stay positive, and of course stay calm and relax when see you prices are falling. In that way, you will really progress on your investments, even it means missing some of the opportunities.
2459  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: an opportunity or preliminary start of bear market?? on: January 15, 2022, 09:33:02 PM
Market was impressive since last year. But after the start of 2022, market start going down and down. It has been saying that, We'll face the bearish market in 2022. Besides lots of people optimistic too & I'm one of them. I thought market will bounce back after weekend end and so many days have gone and no improvement. Yesterday i saw market recovering but now again failed. Still have ether, bnb and others altcoins that i haven’t sold. I don’t understand this is an opportunity or the preliminary start of bear market

Why are the two terms mutually exclusive?

I do think that this is the start of a new bear market, because markets are overbought right now and there is way too much crazy stuff going on in the space of Web3.0 and NFT.

However, for long term accumulators I think that this is a perfect time to start DCAing their bags - BTC, ETH are both looking relatively cheap atm.
Even if we are still in its correction phase, as long as there is a good opportunity to buy cheap but potential coins, then it will the best time to accumulate more. So if bearish season will next to occur in the market, then there will be more opportunities for buying as the prices are much cheaper. But if we are heading into another bull run, no worries as we have already buy at the dip so we will still be profitable by that time.
2460  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you buying in this market downturn? on: January 15, 2022, 09:05:37 PM
to choose the right coin to buy is to follow trending news, because it greatly affects the price increase to get more profit, you have to be very careful in choosing good coins, because here you are very it is required to use the brain rather than lust, which only thinks about profit, but also has to think about the impact if you buy the coin.
^ I never trust anyone aside from BTC, this is a good investment because it has less risk compared to altcoin invest6mnet which is not good when it comes to long-term holding, probably for a short-term holding bit we still don't sure about when it comes to time frame. Or splitting your fund into two and allocating a big percentage to BTC and the rest for the top 10 altcoins, I will never gamble my money investing in a new project.
As you can see, the price of altcoins was been followed by BTC.
You can sleep at night very well if you are holding bitcoin than on a bunch of altcoins. The point here is bitcoin is a solid investment, it's the most dominant asset in the market, so the entire market reacts based on the performance of bitcoin, and although volatility is there but bitcoin will always remain profitable for long term investment.
