2442  Economy / Speculation / Re: $ 5,800 is the lowest threshold for Bitcoin in 2018! on: August 29, 2018, 04:13:53 PM
saying this now means nothing because now it is 100% clear that this price you mentioned was the bottom of the price.

it would have been worth saying and worth reading about if it was being said back when the price was falling and only a handful of people were saying $6k is the bottom and price will stay above it even if it temporarily drops below.
Well, the OP speculaton does mean something buddy because we are still in last of Q3 of the year 2018 and anythng are possible. However, I don't see $5800 as the bottom price of bitcoin this year because there's going to be another huge dump in price when it December till early January of next year.
2443  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Breaks $7,000 After 4% Gain, Crypto Market Adds $12 Billion on: August 29, 2018, 03:32:51 PM
So what? What is surprising about this news?
One of these days the rate will decrease to $ 6500- $ 6700. And then again there will be growth.
And this has been going on for a very long time ...
There is nothing to be surprise about the market gaining some increase in price because this not the first time and it won't be the last time but for those that bought during the all ATH they will pray that the price keeping on increasing.
@OP, base on fundamental analysis. I'm not amaze to see some pump in price of the market because it also does and this is the begining just wait till it September.
2444  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do these gambling sites make good money? on: August 29, 2018, 07:59:29 AM
And is it worth trying to recreate one? I would imagine it's already too saturated. Either way, I was mostly curious about how much these guys actually make (margin-wise). If anyone had some insight on this, I'd love to hear.
Just like there are many altcoin in crypto market so there's nothing bad in creating a gambling site if you all the requirement despite it been saturated already and I want you to know that every business have it own time of losses because the rules of business setting is to accept debt some time. With that side, yes gambling sites make good money.
Yes, having a gambling site I feel is very good and profitable, because there are many people who will be interested in playing. From the gambling site that you have you will get a good profit and I am sure about that, besides you can get income from every visitor who comes, on the gambling site you will also get lots of benefits because there are many players in it. There are many gambling sites in the crypto world, I'm sure you know about that, and there are many that have stood for a long time and still survive today, in contrast to the altc that many of them(altc) don't have a decent exchange rate on the market if the altc is lacking supporters or enthusiasts. So making and owning a gambling site I'm sure it's profitable.

Speaking of altcoin. I think it will be better if we have a crypto gambling sites that accept more altcoins like Monero, Dash, EOS or DAI rather than just BTC and BCH while some accept BTC and ETH only.

2446  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Gambling Versus Traditional Gambling on: August 28, 2018, 01:40:39 PM
To me online gambling doesn't have disadvantages at all. As an except can be counted only a bad gambling site choice, you know, there are such sites to which you can't trust and on which you will never win. Besides that I do not know any other disadvantages of online gambling. But I prefer both types of gambling in the case of poker game with friends and online poker when I have more than enough of free time.

With online gambling we can be addicted fastly compared to the traditional one since we are able to play it at any time at any places as long as there is internet connections. That is the other disadvantage from online gambling among the other impositions.
I support what Taki said which is why it better for gambler to play on a gambling site with good reputation which also long existing and have license.
@Emberbekas, i don't see the act of been addicted to gamble fast as a disadvantage of online gambling site cause traditional gambling have been existing before online start and we have some people who are addicted to gambling then . What I'm try to say is that if one's don't have the impression of been addicted to gambling he/she wont be addicted to it.
2447  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Everyone loses money when the market is down right? on: August 28, 2018, 12:42:41 PM
Majority of the people lose money and this is quite disheartening in this type of market. Not everyone loses money as their are people that place short trades in the market. These people make money with it in my opinion
Those who lose money are simply those who are dumb enough to end up trading without any knowledge at all. That is certainly what most people in this space do. They opt into trading with very little knowledge and some with no knowledge at all and then think it is just about buying low and selling high. As long as you are a well learned trader, you can make money in any market.
I agreed with what you said because crypto currency trading require a lot of knowledge. Winners chapel, the short/day terms form of trading you mentioned are type of trading that require the high knowledge and I won't advice any newbie - member ranking to try it because aside of technical analysis it also require some fundamental analysis cause ones need to set a time of selling.
2448  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are old coins no more profitable on: August 28, 2018, 11:38:50 AM
Yes, most of the project have a huge potentials which is why I'm very surprised that they loose there position on the capital market while Ethereum still maintain it position despite the problem the project is facing which lead to it dump in price. Why is it that the rest don't maintain there if they do still have the potentials as you said because to my know the market has changed after the blood bath and some old coin are out of the game.
ETH lost its position a while ago as traders moved to other coins. it is staying on top of the list on coinmarketcap.com because that website sorts coins based on their market capitalization and ETH has a huge supply of 101 million coins which keeps its market cap above of a lot of much better  coins.

it is the age old altcoin pump rule:
you can always pump small coins and cheap coins a lot easier than you can pump big coins and expensive coins.

in other words the coins that you see are stuck on top, the old ones, are already super pumped and have a big bloated price and market with lots of newbie bag holders which will crush your pump if you try it. so a as pumper they want to have an easier way of pumping things so they move to other coins. that is why they are always more profitable.
If I get you correctly, what you're saying is that the thing which happened to the old that loose there position was exactly the same thing that happened back in the time of bitcoin hard fork (BCH) when miners switch to BCH and Bitcoin was dumped in price? If that's the case but bitcoin don't loose it position.
i am talking about altcoins. bitcoin is not an altcoin!

altcoins are created to be pumped and dumped and because of that they have an expiration date. when they hit that date they slowly start being replaced by other coins. some faster than others and some hang on tight and remain near the top but continue to lose their position.
Ok. If youre referring to altcoin not bitcoin and of which all know nothing is promise forever. However, what i understand about altcoin is that they were created because of the appreciation and the love the altcoin owners have for the block chain network. What make you say altcoin are created to pumped and dumped?
I believe you guys are getting it all wrong because altcoin were not created to be pump and pump. Although, every markets or businesses have it own time of dip in price and the reason behind altcoin creation was to fix the problem which bitcoin transaction network had. An example are BCH, MONERO etc.
In addition to that. If we check Satoshi mail list right before the implementation of bitcoin there's a lot of argument on there base on the protocol said by Satoshi. Example, some believed the block size stated by Satoshi is too small, so all this bring the birth of altcoin because altcoin are created to fix Bitcoin's perceived limitation while some pursue different purposes.

2450  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is altcoin is too riscky to invest now ? on: August 26, 2018, 11:20:20 PM
Altcoin trading are not the only risky trading in crypto currency because every aspect of cryptocurrency trading or investment are risky because crypto currwncy trading or investment open doors for great opportunity and there will always a great risky to scale ghrough before reaching a great opportunities but if ones have the require knowledge in selecting altcoin and avoid losses such person will still trading/invest successfully

If you want something very unique, you should create it by youself)
Really, why do you want to invest instead of creat something by yourself?
I dont really understand this sentence read it  for a while? Create something new. Its not as easy as you think bro.

Quote
am looking for some very unique blockchain/crypto related project that is in a early stage and wants funding.
Well they are several right project to invest, i would say visit coinmarketcap and research on top10 projects, because the price is right to invest
It seems like you don't really understand the OP because the OP he/she is looking for very unique to invest in and with that him/her checking the coin market capital top 10 projects is definitely not the right advice but I will advice the OP to go to the bounties section and search/research the project of his/her taste. However, if you want to minimum risk project, I will advice you to invest in new listed project on CMC.

You're not the only one that monitor the changed in the coin market cap list and the last I checked the new project which was implemented 1years back claimed 31 spot out of the top #100 coin/token listed on CMC while new project claimed 68spot from #101 to #200 coins/tokens listed on CMC.
Meanwhile, I believe the thing that cause this situation is the new project learning from the old project mistake.
2454  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading strategies on: August 26, 2018, 05:26:25 AM
the actual trading strategy will be very easy if you already understand the flow of the graph that always happens and you must be able to see the situation and conditions of the exchange before you buy cryptocurrency, you should buy a cryptocurrency when the price falls.
No doubt about it mate. You're definitely right but all crypto currency trader and investors seems not to know or ignore the fact that the number 1 trading strategy ones need is discipline and consciousness. Have seen a lot of experienced trader who are knew the graph, fundamental and other analysis but still run into debt.
2455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Favourite coin to HODL right now ? on: August 26, 2018, 05:02:26 AM
MY ТОР 3:
1 ) Spectrecoin (XSPEC) - Very promising!
2 ) Phore (PHR) - Very promising!
3 ) NIX and Zoin (ZOI)  - Very promising!

The following projects are also undervalued, but their rating after my analysis is lower than those of the previous 3.

4 ) Monoeci (XMCC) - The price fell because the team went on vacation. In September, good news is expected to grow.
5 ) XP - Very interesting project, which is strongly supported in Japan.
6 ) Burst (BURST) - mining HDD
7 ) Espers (ESP) - Starts the POS v3
8 ) IntenseCoin (ITNS) - They rebranded, different from other offers on the market
9) UCOM - United Crypto Community - The project is risky, but you can buy for an amount that is not a pity.

I don't know much about other altcoin you listed but I definitely know about the coin on your #1 list which you tagged as a very promising coin and I will seize this opportunity to advice all newbie an inexperience crypto currency traders and investors to always do their own research after they are been advice or told a project/coin is promising or good for investment.
2456  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are you one of those who think that BITCOIN will not rise this year? on: August 25, 2018, 03:43:38 PM

I disagree with what you said OP cause the crypto currency market has changed after the market correction and the whales are not helping the market either because they are manipulating the market and what I believe is that they are doing this to create the invest opportunity which may not happen again after the coming bitcoin halving.
Therefore, bitcoin was indeed not for weak hand but the possibility for bitcoin to rise this year is 40%.
2457  Economy / Economics / Re: I almost lost my rock solid regular job because of crypto on: August 25, 2018, 02:33:30 PM
When market conditions are skyrocketing like last year many people think that cryptocurrencies are the best opportunity to get rich, even they are many who leave work for crypto so that when the market drop they are regrett.
The people that regret last move were only those that jump into cryptocurrency without the require experience about crypto currency trading or investment and despite the fact that crypto currency bring new opportunities. It is still better to be diversion in terms of income. Meanwhile, I almost experience what the OP said because I ought to finish some document at work while I'm busy doing my weekly task.
2458  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Rupture of ETH bubbles on: August 25, 2018, 01:57:41 PM
Well, no one can say exactly why the market is still like this and potential coin falling very bad but I believe the bear will soon be over and the bull run will start. I believe if investors gives more support to the system and reduce the rate at which they panic sell, the market will rise gradually and the price of coin will also begin to rise.
If you referring to the cause of dump in price of all crypto currency market, the causes was already come to light because there's nothing hindering the market from pumping and the crypto market refuse to pump despite the good news surrounding the market that simply mean the whales are manipulating the market. But if youre referring to Ethereum market, have said already towards ending of last year that Ethereum will dump in price this years because there's competition in the dapp and smart contract project and Ethereum developers are not working simultaneously like before so the best team will definitely win.
Meanwhile, if Ethereum update their 3.0 there is chance for Ethereum to bullish like before.
2459  Economy / Gambling / Re: Overview of Active Casino/Dice Sites Accepting BTC on: August 24, 2018, 09:27:25 AM
As one member pointed out a column for "Affiliate Program" might be needed on this list. What do the rest of you think? I know most of the well known casinos have them, but not all do.

Will add to "to do list" for now.
We both know that the power of ads/news is so strong and easily to spread. Therefore, I think that the affiliate program will be a good idea since some of the listed casino are yet to receive license. Besides, the program will generate more $$ for both side (product/company owners and the affiliate marketers).

Since we are talking about affiliate program, I have a question.
What is a good affiliate deal for a Crypto Dice site? I got an offer yesterday of 0,2% per bet, for me that sound pretty low?
The last time I checked most crypto dice site good affiliation deal start from 20-30% while the maximum commission by all crypto dice site was 50%.
Concerning the offer you're talking about, you're ought to be pay in percent not per player.

Edit : but I don't know if they still make use of the percent now and I will advice you to use popular/license crypto dice site
