2441  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Binance delisted the following altcoins on: December 22, 2022, 07:59:31 PM

They usually do it when there's not that much demand on them anymore. I'm expecting that there will be newly launched altcoins that they'll list prior to the next bull run and likely in the year when the halving will happen for bitcoin.
And then, the cycle will come and they'll start to delist again altcoins that are no longer profitable for them even if there's a little demand for them. That's how their business goes, they charge high fees for listing, and when all of the sudden, they'll delist it for that reason.

No volume probably is always the case but why list the pair token/USDT still, can the team request Binance to delist pairs?  Because afaik they paid Binance to be listed.

In my observation, the token will not grow much in the future when the pair with BTC is delisted from the market. I personally have one of the token/BTC delisted on the market and it never went up anymore.

Did he really gambled his winning all away which he owes $5 instead?  This is what is to find out to finally how we could weigh the issue. He couldn't wait til Monday.

As for the gameshop also, why did he even allow the guy to use his winning? I'm also suspecting he is at fault that after 2 days the winner owes him instead.
2443  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto exchanges charging for inactive accounts . Do you support this ? on: December 21, 2022, 09:30:45 PM
They just have to put a feature to make accounts active but if someone doesn't want to trade within a month, they shouldn't force their customers in doing it.
These capitalists really are making themselves rich and putting some rules that many won't like it. It's not a common rule but if that's what they're going to enforce then be prepared that they'll get lesser customers soon. They will for sure going to see a decline in their active accounts and more withdrawals.
\

Sure they have seen the effect of it since Bitstamp already sent out emails to its users to come back and deposit on them. $10 a month for using thier exchange as storage of coin investment I guess is just not making them worth the storage of choice.

I would be avoiding even if it's binance if they ask monthly fees. They should be grateful for the people using them. But this is also something that exchanges do to learn whether users are still alive.
2444  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino bonus is it worth it? on: December 21, 2022, 09:14:29 PM
Usually not. If you play at a casino and get a bonus it's great, maybe it's going to give you a free roll or additional money on your account. Some casinos from time to time offer a double deposit bonus which is incredible if you plan to play there a lot because you're going to do those 50 or so wagers anyway with your own money and deposit bonus can sometimes keep you in the game when you otherwise would have to call it a day.

That said, don't register and deposit money into casinos you wouldn't have chosen if not for the bonus. Don't play only with bonuses in mind because they're meant to look juicier than they really are.

It's all marketing though. Of course, casinos giving away bonuses knows it's for marketing, but I think it's still worth trying for the casino's side and many users will still try to check what sort of bonus the casino is trying to giveaway.

I can imagine users will assume Santa is right over on the casino when a user reads a Christmas giveaway only to be disappointed upon knowing the wager requirements. Juicer when not read  Grin
2445  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: December 21, 2022, 09:05:16 PM
With this upcoming fight of Davis, Garcia will see how prepared Davis is for their fight.
Garcia already ditched his supposedly fight with Gesta this coming month to focus on Davis.
Is it a good decision for Garcia or not? We will see if this will help when he faces with Davis.
He has a long break now from the boxing ring, so hopefully his decision is right.
If Davis will win on his upcoming fight, I believe, Garcia will be the underdog in their fight.

IMO it was a bad decision to cancel his tune-up fight with Mercito Gesta. It could be that the proposed fight schedule with Tank isn't giving Kingry enough time to recover if ever the Gesta fight turns difficult. But Kingry could've easily moved his fight with Tank by a month or 2. Kingry will be nearly a year inactive when he faces Tank. He cannot overtrain either so the focus thing is just bs. He is just lazy and is only looking for the big money, he seems ready to cash out in boxing. His former coach Eddie Reynoso and former stablemate Canelo Alvarez were right, he is slacking and is losing his motivation and dedication to establish his own legacy. His fight with Tank Davis is not even a championship fight.

That's what I thought as well, Ryan Garcia and his camp cannot handle the risks including the consequences if they will push through that tune-up fight. I reckon that it's not good to be labeled as a tune-up fight because Gesta is not the kind of boxer that will be defeated easily and just existed to be someone's stepping stone, he's much more greater than that and that's frankly one of the reasons why they cancelled the fight. So, hopefully, Ryan Garcia won't have any struggles because after almost 1 year, he will face the greatest foe in his career.

It will really be a big failure for Ryan's side if even in his planned tune-up fight, he loses against Gesta. This boxer is not well known but had made a good run in this sport which he could possibly throw a lucky punch knocking Ryan. My guess was that Ryan was pressured by what he'd been reading about him after the announcement of the tuneup fight against Gesta.

Just sparring I guess will work for him. Too bad for Gesta for not getting a big chance of grabbing a huge money pot.
2446  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why there are no cool games on: December 21, 2022, 06:34:23 AM
I think you can easily do this in your local arcade if you have one. I know a lot of players are normally meeting there. You can easily find a match there who is also willing to make a bet. Or you can actually look for a tournament of whatever game you want to play and register. If you are already playing then you can challenge your opponent for a friendly bet. I think this is your option for now if you want to play PVP and make a bet. I haven't heard of a crypto gambling platform so far that is offering this feature.

This will solve OP's desire to look for cool games. Teens are always betting on arcades at least at my nearby arcade, this also makes you get out of your house and socialize.

But for the adult ones who actually learned Tekken, it's like going back to your teen life. What would local friends think of you still playing on the local store while you are in your 40s lol. Yeep doing online I guess is an option which there isn't pet a platform for it.
2447  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Just lost $4000 because of addresses starting with "bc1p" on: December 20, 2022, 03:46:31 PM
I am so sorry for your loss, it's a significant amount of money... Like Charles-Tim, I usually don't fully check the address but I check the first 3-4 characters and the last 3-4 characters to ensure I got the right one. I remember there used to be malware that targeted copy-paste and pasted the wrong address, sometimes even making it an approximation of the original in terms of the first few characters, which is why I always do the basic checking. I still don't fully understand how the op lost the money (was is copy-paste malware or copying a wrong address in the first place because the first few symbols were identical?), and I'm not sure if anything can be done to get the money back (probably not, unless you know to whom that address belongs and can reach out in any way).
As for what was wrong with old addresses, I believe Segwit was at least partially aiming to reduce transaction fees, and given how the fees have been for the last few years, I think it worked.

Me too I didn't get how mistakenly sent to a wrong address. But I'm guessing he copied a lot of addresses, probably he is sending to many addresses at that time and just paste one that he thought was the right after seeing the first 4 letters.

Sorry for your loss OP. Because of the existence of Segwit and taproot's first 4 letters almost the same, the suggestion to check the last 4 as well will be good to make sure.

Would the Aliases that were suggested before can be truly useful?
2448  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: December 20, 2022, 03:25:35 PM
Paddy
I don't think Dana is going to give him any challenges though for his next fight or so so it looks like we'll be seeing him against bums until he shows some promise in the octagon.

Sean O'Malley used to be the fighter that got easy opponents, until all of a sudden he faced Petr Yan and won via split decision. Few of Sean opponents were from the top, and all of a sudden he gets top1 opponent. Same can be repeated with Paddy, but doubtfully will, as lightweight division is overcrowded with good fighters. So yeah, highly likely Paddy will be not facing top ranked fighters for some time. Personally, I dont like Paddy. He is grimacing to much, has a very too high an opinion of yourself while having a wind in his head. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=40lPKQ5rP2o - damn, this is so embarrassing to sit and clean your teeth while doing an interview Cheesy

I am going to stick to my words and say that UFC is not in its prime days anymore.
Another thing is, I would say, that the popularity of the UFC is certainly decreasing, but not at a level that can be considered as “dying“.

Why? Just why you got such an opinion? They had events almost every week, while other promotions are lucky to have an event once per month. I think we are so used to their numerous events, that it becomes a routine, and some people, like you for example (no offence) thinks that its popularity is decreasing. Speaking about popularity - UFC were the only sport event that continued during pandemic and lockdowns. If no one would be interested in it, if its popularity would be "certainly decreasing", they would not ran all those events, and people rather switch to watching TV series on Netflix, instead of watching UFC events Cheesy Instead, they gained tremendous response and support during that time.

If you think that I am wrong, then what were the times when "UFC were in prime"?

Because they passed it already after Connor. They were trying to revive it through Paddy that has the bravado of Connor but Paddy is not as good as Connor when it comes to striking. If he is just as good as Khamzat combined with Paddy's boldness and I hate to say this, an Englishman, we might see it back again.

Dana will soon give Paddy one of the baddest fighters in the cage if he asks fee as much as how much Connor got in one fight.
2449  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Few Days To Christmas - How Are You Preparing? on: December 20, 2022, 04:09:13 AM

I understand that I could be wasting my coins which I will profit more if I hold.
it's the feeling and the initiative you give gifts to your kids that matter. When you're a father, you wouldn't really mind spending the coins to make them feel they are loved well by their father.

The other day I bought my daughter an earring made of silver, sort of a music note design, and a new ukulele. I would hope she'll remember me this way forever and that I give importance to what she likes doing which will last forever.
What do you recommend buying for our kids that will not deteriorate in years?

2450  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Looking for feedback on my new bitcoin site! on: December 20, 2022, 02:56:13 AM

The site seems to be just pulling articles from everywhere. Is this done automatically I guess? Somehow I did something like this with wordpress plugins but yours is using heroku right?

In the light of SEO, your site may not gain from organic searches. You haven't created an article that is unique that can only be found on your site.
Anyway, it's clean so far there isn't an ad yet that you insert on it. How do you intend to monetize a site like this?
2451  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Strong Hands Are Buying on: December 20, 2022, 02:25:00 AM
~

It is a good idea to invest at least $100/month (or whatever you can save after your monthly expenses) in Bitcoin and continue doing so, & don't bother much whatever is going in the market. I think this is the best retirement plan for those who are still young and can work 20 years or more before they retire. Their small amount of savings can potentially give them huge reward to enjoy their retired life.

If it's your extra money and you are not going to spend it any moment that would be good savings to put into BTC since it could go tremendously after this bear market. Let's say in 6 months you got $600 worth of BTC that could possibly rise about 20X, that's a huge gain in the long term. That might not be enough for retirement though but you get the point that the more you invest the more you could get. Of course, it may not just go 20x though maybe 50x.
2452  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does a trading strategy becomes obsolete? on: December 19, 2022, 05:12:18 PM

The bull run cycle made it easy but real trading in a shorter time frame is where you might not find indicators to be trusted with its behavior.

We are all trading on different time frames. The RSI on the hourly chart may pose overbought but the daily chart is not.
But this is why there is leverage for traders to keep speculating even in the minute's chart because that's where they wanna be for real action and making money at every price movement.

2453  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Dogecoin Dead ? on: December 19, 2022, 03:52:47 PM

That's just bummer. But Doge didn't die even before Elon I think Doge will still be around for there are tons of its supporters not going to give up.

Elon stepping down as CEO is just not right as he started the war for free speech on Twitter, I'm suspecting he got scared by the threats of a political party. Or he realized he just realized he can't win in turning twitter into the world's town hall.
2454  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance US buys Voyager Digital assets for $1.02 billion on: December 19, 2022, 03:21:47 PM

I think the podcast people are right when they said CZ should just let Voyager fall because this is a tragedy waiting to happen once again. CZ isn't impressing anyone with this since he is on the path of SBF upon bailing out other crypto companies.

This bid is yet not final since it will be decided by Jan 2023. CZ might change his mind when he learns how much is to be sent out to its clients. If he is doing this for a show so to prove Binance is not insolvent then this is not going to work well for him.
2455  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are we ever going to see this on gambling platforms some day. on: December 18, 2022, 10:17:30 AM
It is a valid example of Player versus player, but what I have said still stands, since unlike mortal kombat, dices are completely based on luck and OP specifically mentioned a game which is skill based. He wants to earn money by being good at playing.

Still, I feel curious on how Duelbits takes profit off those PvP dices, do you know what percentage they take from gamblers wager?

I am not sure how many percentage but I am sure that they do have profit from each PvP done on their gambling site. Was PvP gaming really that popular? I visited a month ago the Duelbits but I only see few rooms available and it would took you sometime before you would be able to find a match.

Probably a fee for escrowing the funds users bet. Knowing how few people are engaging in PvP, it may not be worth it for developers.

Mortal Kombat isn't even very popular anymore. But there are esports that we can bet on right now where we are not involved but the team from other places. CSGO, PUBG or League of Legends type of games are more popular with esports, I think OP already knows all these but he is just more particular about Mortal Kombat.
2456  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Too much FUD: Why FUD against Binance doen't seem to be justified on: December 18, 2022, 09:32:19 AM
People should not be scared or worried about Binance's reserves. I think there is no doubt that they have what they claim. Maybe even more than what is disclosed.

What people should worry/research about is how much power they are consolidating, especially after FTX. We should take off the cz safu veil and remember that Binance is a for-profit company that is embedded politically in many states throughout the world, including their home, and how much effect this can potentially have on the world.

One issue that some fraudsters were talking about was the reserves of BUSD but CZ already said its reserve is in NY which is held by Paxos. I think there is true also base on the data online.

Yesterday CZ tweeted also that it's actaully better for users to withdraw their funds from exchanges.  So this is really an attack on binance while the reasons are not justified and Kevin O'leary is a liar.
2457  Economy / Gambling / Re: Best affiliate program via Most trusted online sports betting and casino website on: December 18, 2022, 08:49:40 AM
The online casino website itself bitfair2012.com it looks nice and works very fast for me, but this is a new platform and it is not yet known even on trustpilot, but the lack of social networks and the presence of WeChat for communication with support is not attractive to new users.

The website doesn't actually say they accept those tokens listed by OP but all transactions are said to be carried out in USD or USDT.
And also all of the members if you haven't read this yet you are required to use UPAY which I guess that's where you will have to submit your KYC as you will have to link your bank account to it.
2458  Economy / Reputation / Re: It sucks that 1xbit still runs on: December 18, 2022, 08:36:42 AM

They are paying a premium to advertise the casino. You may find 1xbit banner on every crypto site even the explorer pages, with some 1xbit links. And I think they are also paying winners making it look like they are fixing thier reputation. They are however pretty much judged in this forum for they obviously didn't fix the accusations from bitcointalk users.

Sucks as it may. advertising works and it's not up to us to shut them down, you can only wish people outside the forum do some research.
2459  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: I'm being robbed by mercatox (dogecoin scam) on: December 17, 2022, 03:33:43 PM

I admire the patience to only come out after a year of keeping it to yourself.
1:1 would be fair to ask but then even this will likely not be granted to you. What are you doing to that exchanges by the way? These are the scam exchanges long before 2020 so this should have been avoided if you have read some accusations of these exchanges. They were known only back in the time of ICO and after that, they were not used by people.
2460  Economy / Economics / Re: Bodyguards and security service Will be booming soon for sure on: December 17, 2022, 12:49:14 PM

It's a scare-sayer from a prepper who sees the world will be dominated by criminals trying to loot from everyone they see on the streets.
I have watched several of these people who are preparing for what they thought will come when everyone is hungry because of the economy that Jerome Pal is doing.

To me, before people will start robbing their neighbors in the middle of the night, they will first try to make more protests against the government.
