2442  Economy / Economics / Re: Why have Bitcoin instead of cash? on: April 18, 2017, 07:14:48 PM
I recently paid for some local tacos using Bitcoin. My friend who was unfamilar with Bitcoin thought it was strange, like I technically didn't pay for them or something. We got into discussing Bitcoin and one of the questions he asked me was:
"Why would you want Bitcoins instead of cash?". For a second I didn't know what to say; then I thought about it and here is what I came up with. Feel free to contribute to this.

1) More security (especially if you are careful).

2) Bitcoins are a potential investment, cash is not. Paper currency only really goes down in value, Bitcoins have a lot of potential to be worth more as time goes on.

3) Fast, worldwide transactions at your fingertips.

4) Similar to #3, but it's a universal currency. It's legal in most countries of the world and you don't need any kind of currency conversion to send money to people in a different country than your own.

Bitcoin is better than paper currency in many ways because bitcoin increases value every time even though there's some little fluctuations based on the market while paper money stays the same all the time! Paper money might even depreciates when the inflation increases in price of commodities.

Bitcoin is far batter than the traditional money because it has no boundaries or any international laws regulating bitcoin unlike the traditional paper money which is acceptable only in your country and controlled by banks and government which is bad! Government and bank monitor your account activities and they got eyes on you, which you don't actually have a privacy over.
2443  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Bank on: April 18, 2017, 06:35:31 PM
Did anyone think at this? How would a bank work? How could you loan bitcoins and get interest for them in an economy with just 21 milion BTC limit?

There's no bitcoin banks for now, perhaps in future when the number of bitcoin in circulation is huge. Now I thinking only bitcoins bank we have is our Bitcoin wallets, where you store and save your bitcoins.
2444  Economy / Economics / Re: What is some of the best crypto technology to invest in on: April 18, 2017, 06:24:28 PM
Whether it be new technology, miners or even an altcoin, what is the best thing to currently invest in?

I think the best thing to do is buying and selling bitcoins because bitcoin kinna dominates the market of digital currency. though there are some few good altcoin to invest on like Litecoin, Dogecoin, Ethereum and Dash. These are all good altcoins to invest on if you are interested on investing on altcoins. For me, I prefer buying and selling BTC because it's more profitable and it also has instant profits.

2445  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin prices go to the moon? on: April 18, 2017, 06:12:28 PM
The real price of how bitcoin go to the moon, whether at the price of $ 1,500 or $ 2,500 every post I read there were some who said bitcoin go to the moon, or when the price of bitcoin regular prices suddenly go up higher. this what is called bitcoin go to the moon?

Bitcoin could hit $3,000 by the end of the year after recent rally. The price of bitcoin could hit $3,000 by the end of the year after recently trading above gold and hitting a fresh record high, an analyst told CNBC on Tuesday. Peter Smith, CEO of Blockchain, a bitcoin wallet, told CNBC by email that his company is seeing "unprecedented volume and sign ups", adding that at the current price appreciation, a £3,000 dollar price by the end of the year is "feasible".

2446  Economy / Economics / Re: Tell me a secret: any way to earn 0.1 BTC per week? on: April 18, 2017, 05:59:59 PM
I would like to know if anyone of you earns 0.1 BTC per week or even more? Is this possible and what is best way to earn it? Your experiences, suggestions and advices are very welcomed.

The best way to earn 0.1 BTC weekly is by selling digital product on the marketplace section. or you may do some freelancing job and get paid with BTC whether weekly or monthly. Word of advice don't confuse yourself with free ways of getting BTC because most of them are fraud and scams!
2447  Economy / Economics / Re: Let's Be Honest. We Are Waiting for $100/BTC to buy on: April 18, 2017, 05:21:34 PM
Let's cut the crap. Most of us are just waiting for Bitcoin to finally hit $100 to buy a huge quantity. Am I right or talking out my ass?

That's not gonna happen!

Seeing bitcoin drops below $1000 for now, is only by miracle because the market cap is also around $20 Billion.

Which means the price of 1 BTC would settle around $1200 and it continues to grow from there upward.
2448  Economy / Economics / Re: USD vs BTC on: April 18, 2017, 05:14:42 PM
Bitcoin has a market capitalization of 7 billion.

If you use Google, you can see that in contrast there are 1.45 trillion US dollars in circulation.

Update: Bitcoin has market cap of ~ $20 Billion via XAPO

1 BTC worth $1,214.31 - as of today via XAPO

In value bitcoin far out weight USD but in popularity USD still holds the crown there's no doubt on that!

I stated all these to help people stop confusing themselves from BTC vs USD value and popularity.

2449  Economy / Economics / Re: WILL BITCOIN BE USED BY ALMOST EVERYONE IN 2022? on: April 18, 2017, 05:04:00 PM
by 2022? in 6 years?   Hardly so...
by 2030 - yes, very likelly.
by 2050 -  VERY sure. Not even small doubt. FIAT will be found only in the history books by 2050

LOL  Smiley Smiley Smiley

Bitcoin has the potential to take over the 50% of the financial market by 2050. but not fiat and paper currency in 33 years because of banks and the government bitcoin recognition issues. If to say the banks and the government would allow the use of bitcoins without any laws and regulations bitcoin would surely take over the world, but due to these problems from banks and government might slow bitcoin persistent growth in the years to come! But nevertheless bitcoin would still thrive as most people are yet to understand the truth power of bitcoin and how easy it is to be used. when everybody understands that then sky is just the starting point for the bitcoins.
2450  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of the paper money on: April 18, 2017, 04:00:17 PM
Andrew Haldane said one solution would be for the Bank of England to issue a state-backed digital currency based on bitcoin. Supporting this initiative would be a negative interest rate levied on paper currency relative to the digital currency, with these measures do you think there is more possibilities that sometime:

Paper money will be banned entirely?
How long do you think that happens?
would it work?
What security and privacy risks would it raise?
And how would public and privately issued monies interact?

Well, paper money would continue used by people as government and bank allows transaction in paper money... and also not everyone is interested on bitcoin and computing world in-general. there's is a huge number of people out there that still don't understand the concept of bitcoin and cryptocurrency. Thus, the challenge remains because not everybody trust in digital currency, more than half of the people still prefer paper money than digital currency because it's physical and easily accepted by people and banks. For digital currency must of the people that are using digital are currency are nerdy and computer literate and actually knows where to spend the bitcoins as well.

Bitcoin is surely the currency of the future and the future is now for us! for us, paper money is nothing but garbage because we're living in the future! though there's a lot of people that still doesn't know anything about the bitcoin world, and that is where the paper money would still work because those people are still leaving in the dark age! So, digital and paper currency would be used both by people based on their knowledge, skills and experiences. But in-time, sooner or later the paper money would fade away like how gold coins fades away in the 20th century!
2451  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is Becoming a Global Currency on: April 18, 2017, 03:28:38 PM
For the first time, when I look at the offers on LocalBitcoins.com, there are a half-dozen currencies ahead of the US dollar, offering a higher price for Bitcoin than US dollar users.

Euros, South African Rands, New Zealand Dollars, Hong Kong Dollars, Polish Zloty, Malaysian Ringgits.

It is no longer just the US, EU or even China driving adoption.  There is a market for Bitcoins in major countries all over the world.

Bitcoins reached certain levels on financial world because it's self stabilizing economy, it rises and fall based on bitcoin demand and users activity on the blockchain network. Bitcoin has no any international law to stop people from send and receiving money in bitcoins. Bitcoin provides the medium for people share the value with one another without any boundary or limitation unlike the ordinary currency that is controlled and monitored by banks and governments.
2452  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: April 18, 2017, 02:40:09 PM

I have no doubt over that! That the Leicester will win the second leg, LFC is a great football team and ATM have no idea what is coming to them when they come to England!
i think not too simple such as that and makes 2 goals for Leicester isn't easy because Atletico have solid defence than Leicester and Atletico also have more experience for europe competitions but everything could be happened and nothing impossible on soccer matches even it will be so difficult
In case Atletico scored first, everything is finished, and I think they will try to score, they have Griezman, Carrasco, and Angel Correa, maybe Leicester are excited to join the best four, but Atletico have more experience which is more important.

Leicester has the chance to make a new history. They have the passion to win this game and even though Atletico Madrid has more experience for sure this game won't be easy for them. First leg result already gave us a good sign that Leicester will make this game even tougher for Atletico Madrid.

Of course, the first game showed us the ATM won't hold on Leicester city any longer and by the time they reached England for the second leg of the UCL, They would precisely realize the true power and skills of the Premier League Champions. ATM would be nothing tonight but sitting ducks!  Smiley Smiley Smiley
2453  Economy / Economics / Re: Prediction for 2017 - share your views on: April 18, 2017, 01:09:09 PM
While creating this topic, bitcoin is standing at 618 USD. So I want to know your prediction for the year of 2017. What is the milestone you have targeted?

Will it be able to hold its strength at 750 USD by the end of 2017? Voice your opinions.

Well for now, Bitcoin is around $1220 it has reached $1300 earlier this year, that's is good sign that bitcoin might reach up to $2000 or may be $3000 by the end of this year, as was said by "Peter Smith, CEO of Blockchain" saying that his company is seeing "unprecedented volume and sign ups", adding that at the current price appreciation, a £3,000 dollar price by the end of the year is "feasible".

2454  Other / Politics & Society / Re: World War III ? on: April 18, 2017, 12:37:51 PM
if war broke three world then the economy will increasingly fall apart for the cost of the war, if we had not come to terms again.

for what is life?

Look at the second world war. During the war, there was a huge spike in the steel production and some other sectors of the industry. So it is not all negative. There will be some positives, which can benefit the global economy.
War is always destruction. As you know sooner or later, any war ends. Then the economic recovery should stimulate demand for all. This leads to the development of the country. The way of the world.
I agree with you. In history people have always fight one another, and developed new technology of killing one another. That is in human nature i think. But after all wars people have survived, and i think people will always find a way to survive some new war. Even if it would be nuclear war, i think that there would be people who would survive and continue human kind...

Yeah, I agree with you if we look at the history we are always trying to kill each other, perhaps it's in our nature to eradicate our own kind so that another generation might endure. The war amongst ourselves is unavoidable but we can minimize the probability of it occurrence. May be, the third world war is going to be about a financial sector as one of you guys mentioned earlier based on "cyberwar" as I read on the Bloomberg Business Week lately. So let's pray for peace for the humanity on earth and GOD should destroy all the darker minds that are trying to create war on earth!
2455  Other / Politics & Society / Re: World War III ? on: April 18, 2017, 12:23:26 PM
World War I and II Had passed. All the countries tied in United Nation. However recently there seem grouping countries. They join in the military coalition. Islamic countries have allied. Some comunists countries also take position with the winning Russia in Syria helped by Iran.

US , China and other super power countries may prepare all the possibilities. Will World War III Problably happen? Where will it start from?

WW3 would definitely happen because if you look at what's happening now between U.S and North Korea is very scary, dude! I don't know where that "Kim Jong Un-Kill" got his nukes but surely someday, if not measures are taken that son of the b**** gonna smoke U.S. just saying! Also, look at the Syrian War it's all made for political purpose and ambitions and be careful with what the politics might cooked up, it not going to be good at all! If we are not very careful the American and Russian politics oversees might be the source of the WW3 indeed, talk-less of the North Koreans!
2456  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: INDIA still facing cash issues: now due to banknote software upgrade delays on: April 18, 2017, 11:58:01 AM
Unfortunately, it appears things are even worse in India right now, with over 90% of the country’s ATMs running dry. Ever since the Indian government began their demonetization efforts, things have gotten out of hand quickly. Late last year, the country’s bank ATMs were on the brink of running dry. The first time happened due to the change from old banknotes to new ones. However, this new debacle is due to a delay in software upgrades.

More information below:

http://www.newsbtc.com/2017/04/17/indias-bank-atms-running-cash-new-banknote-software-upgrades-still-not-completed/

It is evident that access to cash remains a big problem in India, do you think Bitcoin could be part of the solution?

Oh yeah! This is one of the reason where bitcoin was invented! Government would always try to enslave us by controlling the "paper notes" money, banks and everything, that's why the banking system has not been evolved for more than a century. Yet with bitcoins we found the solution ourselves to take back is belong to us and live our lives without any boundary or international law to stop us! I believe this is the best time for people of India to start utilizing the power of bitcoins and endure as the future shine brighter for more better days ahead!

2457  Economy / Economics / Re: I hate Cryptocurrency on: April 17, 2017, 06:40:54 PM
Well, I like the blockchain technology... but I have some major problems with it.

Instead of being regulated and utilized so it's a useful technology it's just become a giant faux-economy.

Exchanges, news, prices, altcoins. It never seems to end. Every coin is just feeding into bitcoin for profit. It wouldn't be so bad if there were limited hours for trading but of course because of how the blockchain works it is a 24/7 economy.

Everyone is just trying to one-up the next person by manipulating numbers to their advantage. Sure, that's a lot like the stock market but at the end of the day cryptocurrencies never produce anything other than more coins. Companies produce products and services.

Most every coin uses underhanded trolling tactics like hype accounts, insider bribes, and worse. There's nothing redeemable about the vast majority of this space.

I know there will be mostly defenders of the stupidity but god-damn it is truly ridiculous.

I see no reason to say you hate cryptocurrency because everything good has competition next to it!

And cryptocurrencies has more advantages than disadvantages. If you are always looking for darker side of a new technology that's all you gonna get!

Everything in this world has advantage and disadvantage. so now is up to you to choose to live with the modern technology or you can go back to "STONE AGE" and live your life... The choice is up to you!

2459  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: April 17, 2017, 04:44:29 PM
Atletico - Leicester. I think it's good result for Leicester to concede only one goal, because Atletico dominated today. It will be very interesting second game.

They would have been so much better off losing the game 2-1, not scoring 1 away goal in this 2 leg games is a big handicap. I'd put atletico as a good chance to score 1 goal in next game so leicester have to score 3.
Currently Leicester is very high in confidence and as they played last few home games they can beat atletico even they fail to do any goal in away game but still its very interesting match and any team can progress in next round
I really hope Leicester to win the second leg because I still want to see the surprises provided by them. maybe this season is the best season Leicester to have a chance to get a trophy UCL. nothing is impossible in football.

I have no doubt over that! That the Leicester will win the second leg, LFC is a great football team and ATM have no idea what is coming to them when they come to England!
2460  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: April 17, 2017, 04:38:07 PM
I hope they will elect better referees for the next matches because from what I have seen in that first leg in Dortmund the referee made some glaring mistakes that tipped the scales in favor of one of the teams. Maybe they need to implement some video assisted refereeing because these kinds of errors in 2017 are getting pretty ridiculous  Roll Eyes

Sure, FIFA & UEFA should implement more technological equipments to help guide referees from these awful errors that were happening in the games. I also watched the game between Monaco vs. Dortmund, I saw some of the referee errors like the first goal by Kylian Mbappe, it's seems to be an off-side yet the goal was awarded to Monaco. They should implement accurate tools to help eliminate and avoid having the judgement issues in the games!
