now "exec totalrac" display correct data in 1156

Great!  Lets see if we can go flawlessly for a while now.

BiblePay PrivateSend (Coin Mixing)

any easy description? for what is this? totally useless for us

PrivateSend can mix multiples in increments of 1, 10, 100, 1000, 10000, etc  but because PoDC Update sweeps all your funds to the same wallet address... whatever you tried to mix ends up just going back to your main wallet address. Yes, totally useless unless you send to a brand new wallet and try to mix separately there.

Oh does it, Yikes.  I can fix that.

who from BTT using wikishit? this informations must be on WEB of BBP .....

its so hard to pay from superblock monthly budget for professional graphic youtuber? He can make video tutorial...... all best coins got it...very pity

I believe Wiki is the more appropriate choice in this case, as it allows one to refer to each relevant definition.

In contrast to appealing to people with ADD (attention deficit disorder).

The youtube video would be fine however to accentuate a streamlined and existing process.

If you a spare 100k BBP, put in the pool. Only 900k more needed to start 1 masternode.

Thanks.

The guy seems pretty reasonable in his e-mail exchanges to me; I'll throw a couple mil in the service and join the group.

But remember all, Invest at your own risk, and do not put in anything you cant spare to lose.

Couple of questions:

A.  How do I stake my entire balance?  Or does the wallet handle this automatically?

B.  So I cannot research for WCG exclusively?  I need to have some rosetta@home work in there also?  What is the reason for this?

Also I would recommend looking at Curecoin and how they handle Folding@home payments.  Their process is dead simple.

My apologies, my spaghetti code comment was referring to the documentation, I wasn't actually criticizing your github code  Grin

After going through the documentation  yet again to make sure everything is configured correctly, I think I realized what the main problem is with setting this up.  The only documentation out there either explains in paragraphs the ideas of podc or is simplistic handholding.  Making it difficult for someone who needs the brass tacks to get the correct information.

For example on one page it would be nice to see :

 - the definitions (in a list) of CPIDS, Magnitude, Task Weight, UTXO Weight, Sanctuaries, Proposals, Accountability, PODC, POBH. This stuff doesn't need to be super in depth, just needs to say what each term is, and what it does. Too many BBP-specific acronyms and terms are thrown around

- Better differentiation of the PODC and POBC.  Maybe instead of heat mining call it traditional mining.  Also what isn't clear (to me), does podc secure the network at all? I am guessing no. It would be good to explain (briefly) why there are 2 methods of getting BBP.  And unless I am missing something, podc is not actually mining, which brings me to my next point

-  Staking.  Is it staking or mining?  I see it referred to as staking but then I also read that it is really mining pobh, just on a lower limit.  Which is it?

- Requirements of PODC.  This is all over the place.  What are the actual requirements to earn it, in list form.  I get that its at least:  boinc research, member of team, wallet open and staking.  Is there more?  does heat mining also have to be enabled? How often do I need to submit a R@H project?  Does one always have to be running?

- Explanation of what a superblock is, how often they occur, and how the payouts are calculated.  Again simplicity is key.

- I realize this is a 3rd party site, but really if someone could understand this page, I think most of their questions would be answered:  https://www.biblepay-central.org/en/podc/user/1989000/   This is mine for example. I have 113,188 BBP.  This is like reading Greek.  I see rewards in the list, yet at the top it says Reward: 0, Next Payment no data, block budget 0.  Again, what is magnitude, and why is the biblepay rac difference from normal rac?  Why does my UTXO amount change?  What is the weight and why does it change?  On the podc updates tab the pdoc amount fluctuates even more.

Also in the wallet console, if you type help, none of those boinc commands are present.

Thanks!  This is definitely where we are lacking.  I'll help out on this today.

I started making this Wiki page to help explain the above answers:

https://wiki.biblepay.org/Getting_Started_With_PODC

I hope this helps; please anyone let me know if more needs added or edited.

This brought up two important points:

1) We should ask Lich to add hover-over or help to the biblepay-central site to whatever fields NSummy mentioned above that are hard to understand for the user.

2) I just realized in the newest wallet, we sort of leave the user hanging in regards to knowing if they have the correct UTXO weight.  In the next version we help them understand if they need to install boinc, we auto create a RAH account, we attach RAH, we start the boinc tasks, we show the task count, we make it easy to associate a CPID, but then I believe we leave them hanging at the point where they dont know how much UTXO is on the network or if they will receive a superblock reward.  In light of that I think that is one more thing we need to squeeze in the next mandatory is some type of UTXO indicator on the DC page, and a Red narrative explaining their next payment is at risk due to having low UTXO weight etc...

2467  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BiblePay ✟ Governance ✟ Help Orphans ✟ PODC Cancer Mining ✟ Deflationary ✟ on: September 28, 2018, 01:19:52 PM

I saw a post on reddit about some changes (they seem positive) coming.  If I could offer one piece of advice it would be to completely update the documentation and centralize it before making any more changes.  This entire project has turned into spaghetti code.  Features added, features removed, some info on bitcointalk, some on the bbp forum, some on the website, some on the wiki.  The wiki is also worthless as there are no links to any pages.  Its impossible for anyone to keep up with this coin without a significant time suck.  And to find out where things stand it feels like I have to read 30 pages of old forum posts.  Like it was sheer luck that I saw the thing about needing to research for R@H too.  I have been doing strictly WCG.

Also I would recommend looking at Curecoin and how they handle Folding@home payments.  Their process is dead simple.

Well respectfully, it hasn't turned into spaghetti code, it turned into spaghetti documentation.  I think if you follow the testnet thread you will see that we are implementing 3 buttons to get started with 3 clicks for PODC mining.  The users voted that they want to KEEP the UTXO requirement, meaning that new users will need to still by bbp on the exchange to PODC mine - and that keeps a certain level of complexity in bbp in the next version.

Jaap is already focused on tweaking the documentation for new users and focused on a PR campaign.

The wallet stakes the entire UTXO amount (type exec totalrac to see the amount) automatically.

You cannot research just WCG today, but you CAN in the next mandatory.

Regarding Curecoin, and its centralized payment structure handled by the single point of failure, yes, it would be easy for us to emit a simple daily payment as well (like we do in our daily pool payment to all recipients at 10 am).  But we are not curecoin, and we have more features.

My apologies, my spaghetti code comment was referring to the documentation, I wasn't actually criticizing your github code  Grin

For now, please add 'utxooverride=1500000' and resend a podc update.

Now getboincinfo shows WCG correctly.

I am running wallet version 1145

Should I upgrade and remove utxooverride=1500000 ?

Yes, please upgrade, then comment or remove the utxooveride (I comment by putting an x in front of the key), then run, then:

Then please try 'exec podcupdate true' and lets see if it sends the right amount.

I installed latest wallet 1156 and removed utxooverride=1500000

totikk is your worker added on pool?  Wink
Yes, certainly.
It was on the My Leaderboard a few hours ago. Now at My Missing Miners

Screanshot:

Hi Totikk,
Sorry to hear you are having so many startup issues with our infrastructure.  I see you have moved from 0 to 20 UTXO weight.
Part of the problem is as of yesterday, we didn't know you had all that WCG RAC.  Now the 'exec totalrac' is showing correctly meaning you need even more coins for full UTXOWeight.

However you should at least get the partial payment in the next superblock (@ 20%).

WCG RAC drop 20% and raise 20% something is still wrong, 3 accounts checked. Or maybe someone change a rule?
I think the sancs are upgrading to the newest version which has the accurate WCG amounts in each row now.

Just check your Boinc WCG RAC from the Boinc Manager's GUI Row against the main pool superblock view- if it is not equaling let me know the CPID.

thx

last 4months without problem

now i have 5M BBP in my wallet and i dont have this coins in my wallet .... its funny

It turns out the lions shares of these problems is it wasn't calculating the total WCGRAC into the assessment for the PODC update.

Please upgrade to the latest wallet version and retry a podcupdate (exec podcupdate true) - see if it sends the right amount now.

Im upgrading the pool and sanc1 now, so we can see users with 0 UTXOweight in the Pool Superblock view report.

sorry, it didn't help, i see wcg rac = 0

In your case the problem is you havent sent UTXOs in 3 days:

exec utxoreport 183b46bd8c5bd5ce00e5b4cf8b079704

We require a UTXO to receive > 0 in PODC.

ok, and what has to be done in this case? yesterday i had 4 podc updates.

i just do not get it at all. cpids are in sync, gen=1, rosetta and wcg tasks are being sent, podc updates are there, what ELSE should be done? no troubleshooting, no guides, lost 100K already...

We have conflicting info - the utxo report shows you did not send PODC updates in 3 days.

So please, just double click on your last podc update (yesterdays would be best), copy the txid for me and the amount and paste here..

Thanks.

I see you now - not sure where I got your CPID from the last check, but it was missing a digit (not sure how that can happen), anyway now I have your CPID, and I do see you have been sending your PODC updates (avg 19500 per PODC update).

So the actual reason you are having trouble, is your PODC utxo amount is not enough.

018-09-27 15:42:36  Non-Included CPID 183b46bd8c5bd5ce00e5b4cf8b079704 , RosettaRAC 873.132300, WCGRAC 211410.671850, UTXO Weight 0.000000, Task Weight 0.000000, TotalRAC 5247228.105000

You have 873 rosettarac, 211,410 WCGRAC.  That means you need a UTXO of 4,245,640.
So for now just do a 'utxooverride=4500000' and send another podc update and you will be in the superblock.

Im still researching if the latest wallet version should have sent an automatic 4.5 MIL, and why you are sending automatic 19.5k.

sorry, it didn't help, i see wcg rac = 0

Thanks.

Yes, me too!

WCG is still zero here also

So yes, I think your case illustrates that we had 2 concurrent problems making this sort of complicated, but now its clear.
For your cpid coininspect, you have 181 RAC in rosetta, but 67015 rac in Wcg.  The wallet sent out a few 4500~ bbp UTXOs over the last few days for you.
Your cpid is not in the superblock.  This is because with a requirement of 20bbp per mag, you really need a utxo of 1,343,920 to have the actual required utxo to be in the superblock.

The biggest issue I see is whatever version of wallet you are running, (probably pre 1.1.5.0) still assesses your required UTXO level based on RAH only.

For now, please add 'utxooverride=1500000' and resend a podc update.

Ill take a look at the latest version to see if we ever fixed this!  Maybe we never fixed this PODC utxo assessment amount, checking....

In your case, I don't see you in any PODC superblock ever, are you sure your WCG team is set to BiblePay?

You are not in the superblock view report- are you currently crunching rosetta with active tasks?

I dont see your CPID in the R@H active cpid list.

It could be that you shut down RAH.

** Resolution for World Community Grid Credit Handling **

The root cause of the WCG credits tallying as zero is that our sanctuaries are not handling the WCG daily credit export file properly.  A hotfix has been programmed and tested.

1.1.5.6 has just been released.  In order to fix the problem, we need Sancs to upgrade.  (Users do not need to upgrade until the next mandatory release).

Sancs, please upgrade to the latest version.

EDIT:  The pool superblock view report will be fixed within an hour; the problem can be fixed if the pools upgrade to the latest version.  Purepool, I believe you will also need to upgrade to the latest version.  BiblePay Pool will upgrade now.

EDIT2: Windows is building.

1.1.5.6 for Windows is released;  upgrading the Pool and Sanctuary 1 now.

Ok, the pool has been upgraded, now you can see the Reports | Superblock View report, and the WCG RAC should be correct.

Please let me know if you see any missing WCG rac.

As far as the next superblock payment, the payouts are based on the winning contract.  Most likely the contract will be similar to yesterdays:  Primarily Rosetta based.

The quicker the sancs upgrade, the more likely that tomorrow's superblock will contain all of the WCG magnitude.

sorry, it didn't help, i see wcg rac = 0

Anyone with persisting WCG problems into today - we will get to the bottom of this!

The superblock view report looks good today, and I do not see any contract creation errors over the last 24 hours with WCG.

So as of yesterday I clearly saw errors and we fixed them.

Now we need to get very specific and take a look at individual cpids.

Checking...

Couple of questions:

A.  How do I stake my entire balance?  Or does the wallet handle this automatically?

B.  So I cannot research for WCG exclusively?  I need to have some rosetta@home work in there also?  What is the reason for this?

It's a real pity that some people regard in-wallet prayers as a joke.  Those people are not God fearing - and will be held accountable by Jesus on judgement day for how many prayers were impeded.

This is of course going to cause BiblePay to disable the in-wallet prayer feature for the general public.  We will need to re-invent it to vet prayers before they become public.
