2461  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The BNB gas fee will increase as price keep appreciating on: October 09, 2021, 11:25:03 AM
They already has the mechanism to solve that, if you don't mind about the security of the network. The network is not that decentralized and you can easily cast a vote to reduce minimum/maximum or standard fee. I believe it already happened once. It allows them to make 5 sats the new standard for transaction. I believe they can easily reduce it again if the demand is quite high.
2463  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if all the money in the world entered the cryptocurrency market? on: October 09, 2021, 04:46:20 AM
Also, how did you come up with the price that bitcoin has when all the money is invested in it?
One of the easiest way is to divide the amount of money with bitcoin supply (or circulating supply, whatever you like). It's not gonna be precise, and I don't think you should expect a precise calculation for something like this. Even the number of money in the world might change when you're posting this right now.
2464  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ETF approved for Largest holders in US on: October 09, 2021, 04:04:22 AM
I don't think US will approve any ETF either in the short term. It is quite useful for them to just delay and crackdown more companies so they can increase their holdings instead of making the price run more parabolic, while keeping the hopium alive. Let's see if 2022 can bring anything new or not.
2465  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Related Question Comes In a Admission Test Exam on: October 08, 2021, 10:15:27 AM
Adding a lesson on elementary schools is a bit too extreme imo. At least in my country, that's not really necessary. Maybe middle or senior high school might be more appropriate. The lesson might get split between economy and IT, there's no need for a full-fledged blockchain course. That should be for university and the likes of it.
2466  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buyback tax on: October 08, 2021, 08:07:25 AM
Pretty sure scheme like this only work those anonymous tokens, if not, the team will likely get sentenced to jail pretty soon. I never heard of a scheme like this before, other projects usually go with the usual buyback program.

It's a terrible way to attract enthusiast, but it makes sense if the target is newbies or those who did little to no due diligence. Even the usual buyback from the market and fee distribution are not free from controversy, not to mention this.
2467  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I transferred USDT from my wallet to USDT contract on: October 08, 2021, 04:08:55 AM
but I ask help to their team and they return my coin back to my wallet, but I don't know with USDT and I think that stable coin and we don't know they have team or not.
You mean the team has control over the smart contract or the address? It is quite dangerous if the team can simply execute a call to move tokens from one address to another. Even if OP can contact Tether, I doubt they'll help for such a "small" amount of money.
2468  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 5600 xt installed on server 2008 r2 no opencl error in team red on: October 08, 2021, 03:43:10 AM
It has an old navidia gpu that is running monitor maybe screwing up the opencl install for amd
Never heard of something like that. I think the chance that your driver/cpu failed to recognize which gpu should be accessed is higher instead of a screwed up driver installation. I'd do what fp suggested above if it still doesn't get fixed.
2469  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: ELECTRUM - BITCOIN WALLET on: October 08, 2021, 02:34:15 AM
2470  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Dewvpn is good ? on: October 07, 2021, 04:07:38 AM
The only free VPNs worth using are ProtonVPN and Windscribe.
I can vouch for Windscribe (including their paid service). Just keep in mind that there are some controversy here and there about them. Last time I checked a user claims that the owner dump his PM on public place, so it's not that privacy friendly. Do your own research. For as low as $2/month (one location and unlimited data, plus openvpn support and others), I think it's good enough as long as you don't expect some state-of-the-art privacy tech.
2471  Economy / Economics / Re: Investors Spent Millions on 'Evolved Apes' NFTs. Then They Got Scammed on: October 07, 2021, 03:53:10 AM
This scams could be make NFT's image looks bad, even though there are so much potential for developing NFT systems.
Just like ICO, IEO and the rest. Anything can be used to scam people, but sometimes things get blown out of proportion and cause a dead end. Sooner or later regulatory compliance will be necessary for this NFT stuff and if that happens, I bet there will be new things to fomo for. That's just the cycle of this market. The one who can last till the end is usually the winner, or just have a very good community to support them. Let's see where NFT go.
2472  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin transactions is so expensive on: October 07, 2021, 02:53:27 AM
Sounds like you have a lot of inputs. You should regularly check out your address and consolidate your txs so you don't have to pay a lot of fees next time. Check out this thread for more info https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2848987.0.

Suggestion to use 'Lightening Network' incoming ..
If he has a channel already, it might make sense. If not, probably better to wait.
2473  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SEC Chair Dodges Question About Regulatory Status of Bitcoin on: October 07, 2021, 02:15:32 AM
Regardless of whether people can use coins to buy groceries or not, throwing anything under security laws is just a bit too much imo. A large number of those tokens bring no value (no profit sharing etc), might as well just tax the project instead of forcing people to agree they are holding some security tokens.
2474  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How to know latest bounty , airdrop program ? on: October 06, 2021, 04:39:15 AM
Just bookmark the bounty sub-forum with the sort function and visit it regularly. If you set it to sort by the latest thread, then I doubt you'll miss any new bounty (as long as it's posted here). I don't think there are other places where project will post their bounties, even if there is another forum, there's a high chance that they also post it here so there's no need to do lots of work.
2475  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Intel DG2 GPU on: October 06, 2021, 03:59:28 AM
It's too soon to talk about mining on DG2 imo. Even their gaming performance is not yet tested, plus their drivers might be terrible at launch. Better wait until Intel get better at making GPUs before starting to consider their cards to mine.

It's kinda ironic to see Intel use TSMC to launch their products after claiming years of fab leadership.
2476  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: what is best with GPU 4 G for mining on: October 06, 2021, 03:05:08 AM
He's probably looking for GPU with 4GB of memory to mine some coins. OP, you can calculate various scenario on what to mine to find what is the best GPU for you, as long as you don't care that your mining options might be limited.

Why does it have to be 4gb btw? Is it because of your limited capital to buy some gpus, or is there another reason? AFAIK there are others who've asked about this before, so you might be able to find more ideas if you search on this board.
2477  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to properly use a Mixer? on: October 06, 2021, 02:45:41 AM
You'll get flagged easily if you use a mixer that doesn't really protect you from being linked to their main deposit address. If that's the case maybe it's better to find another service to use, or use coinjoin as mentioned above to cover your track (but some exchange also flag coinjoin tx as malicious, so that's that).
