2461  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why not invest instead of cloudmining?? on: September 27, 2015, 08:04:37 PM
Cloud mining is an investment as well. Contrary to what many people believes it can be profitable. By investing in Ghs to mine while being able to trade them at the same time you can have high returns. I won't say it isn't risky because it is, and it might even happen an investor not being able to reach ROI because he had a poor management of his mining account.
2462  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: TO all miners and bitcoin holders would you? on: September 27, 2015, 06:34:58 PM
Well i see all days someone asking to return some years to mine more bitcoins and others wouldnt havent traded them or gaved. That wont happen ,soo back to reality if bitcoin didnt reached those 1000 dollars ,and dropped till the current value of 200 worth.Would you buy a miner or investing in equipment to mine? Lets suppose bitcoin were worthing just 300 dollars and that were the biggest ammount, reached would you invest your money at bitcoin the same way you did and do nowadays?Would bitcoin still getting such attention as has now ?

I would buy mining equippment! mining is still profitable and would be profitable if the price didn't pass the $300 mark. The problem is that if was to buy mining hardware I would have to invest a lot of money and wait a lot of time to reach ROI
2463  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is there a mobile phone operator that accepts Bitcoin? on: September 27, 2015, 05:41:45 PM
That would be absolutely great. At least I would be charging my mobile with Bitcoin.
Let's hope that this can happen as soon as its possible.
2464  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: dot.bitcoin or dot.btc TLD on: September 26, 2015, 06:09:06 PM
I'm planning to bring new Top Level Domain for bitcoin into the net.Which TLD would you opt for? Please select a choice.Based upon the vote,I would select the most preferable option. Also kindly write what do you think about the idea?

Its kind of difficult to guess what could be the best domain without even knowing what type of business the domain will go for.

However, since it is a bicoin related site I guess the best option should be dot.bitcoin.

2466  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Now & After 6 years , what the worst case scenario ? on: September 26, 2015, 05:19:01 PM
Now & After 6 years from the creation of Bitcoin by Satoshi Nakamoto , what's the worst case scenario that could happen to Bitcoin and make it dissapear once for all in your opinion , personally I guess it will be little bit hard to get 3 billion USD market-cap business  destroyed just like that .

I guess there is no turning back at this point... bitcoin is here to stay. In this case, the worst scenario would be one that might affect the holders; a price crash! if BTC goes under $100 there will be a huge dump... could this mean that bitcoin as a currency might fail or could this mean that BTC is going mainstream?

Just a few years ago bitcoin was a seen as a renegade virtual currency, considered by many to be used only by criminals and outlaws. Much like the Internet at its beginnings, investors and businesses didn’t saw value in the technology and were miss leaded by its darker...

In an effort to provide better service to our expanding user base, BitPay will be adjusting our pricing plans October 1, 2015. Due to your volume and settlement preferences, we do not believe your account will be drastically affected, but we wanted to make you aware of the changes to our Free Plan.

On October 1st, all Free Plan accounts will be migrated to the Starter Plan, which offers free, instant conversion for 30 transactions per month. If you process more than 30 transactions, a 1% settlement fee will be applied to the additional transactions. The Starter Plan offers weekly settlements in USD and EUR, and daily settlements in BTC. Your processing Tier will not be affected.

The new Business Plan applies a 1% settlement fee and comes with unlimited processing, daily settlements for all supported currencies and additional features, such as Multi-User Organization and access to Premium Integrations. The new fee structure is designed to simplify bookkeeping and enable us to build more features and tools for Business accounts without changing how we price each plan.

The addition of new services for Business and Enterprise plans is part of our continued effort to build the world’s smartest and fastest payment network. Your participation in this ecosystem is a critical part of that vision. We truly value your business and hope that you continue to use BitPay for your bitcoin payment solutions.

You may adjust your settlement and plan preferences at anytime by visiting your Settings in the Dashboard. You can learn more about the new pricing model here: https://bitpay.com/pricing. For account-related questions, please contact support@bitpay.com.

Soooo.. just like VISA...

With bitpay now, merchants will have to pay to use bitcoin as a payment processor..

+ Lmao at this 30 transactions/month threshold..

So much for merchant adoption! Grin Grin

edit: although that would have been a lot of frappucinos to bay back teh VCs! Cheesy

I dont get it... are They trying to be just as Banks? With this they risk to lose a lot of customers.
We might complain but the truth is that sooner or later this would happen!
2471  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is NOT a currency debate! on: September 25, 2015, 02:53:08 AM
Bitcoin is NOT a currency!

In it's simplest form it is just payment rails. Stop thinking about is as currency and what is left to regulate?

If a merchant selling a pair of jeans for $250 accepts a 1 bitcoin and customer 2 weeks later asks for a refund with a value of a bitcoin going up to $300. Is he going to get 1 bitcoin back or a value of the jeans he bought? Naturally, the value, which means 3/4 of a bitcoin at the time of the refund. So, how does it make bitcoin a currency. ITS NOT!

What do you think?

Putting it that way... it got me confused for a moment. But when you think of it, we only need to deconstruct your own post. If it wasn't a currency why the hell would the seller even accept bitcoin for that purchase?? Simply because bitcoin its currency as well as it is a payment system. So it's more as a commodity that has all the features to be a currency as well as a payment system. You could even think the same about gold!

So shall Bitcoin become an elite network with high transaction fees?

Open to discuss

I don't believe that Bitcoin could become an elite network with high transaction fees. He probably got it all wrong; The whole idea of Bitcoin is to cut the transaction expenses and enable micro transactions
2473  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is anyone pre-ordering 21 Inc's device? on: September 24, 2015, 06:56:05 PM
I was expecting something better to be honest. It's still not clear what this machine will be able to do other than mining, their FAQ says it's for devs to learn and develop and sell digital goods, but develop what, sell what digital goods and to whom? In what platform? There's just too much uncertainty at this point. I'd avoid putting a pre-order until someone else has done so and put a review out there after getting the machine. By the way, all this madness on Reddit seems unjustified. It's almost like someone is trying to manipulate the vote  system in order to promote it.  Roll Eyes

Here's a funny article btw:

For just $400 you can have this Raspberry Pi – and MINE BITCOIN
Burning dinosaurs for fun and profit
http://www.theregister.co.uk/2015/09/22/for_just_400_you_can_have_this_raspberry_pi_and_mine_bitcoin/

I guess that developers that know what to do with it have already pre-ordered. after the equipment goes out it will all be about who knows how to work with it!

2478  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: what is the fee to send ? -_- on: September 23, 2015, 09:07:58 PM
10000 satoshi ?

but no

i send 0,02759 for 0,02819

fee = 60000 satoshi

pffffffff

0.0006 is a very high fee. You 'll need to configure the settings in your wallet.
the average fee is 0.0001 but some exchanges have risen it to .0005 to guarantee the transaction.
2479  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the safest and simplest way to keep bitcoins? on: September 23, 2015, 08:44:57 PM
I guess the simplest and safest way to keep your bitcoin would be with Blockchain.info. Depending on what you want to do with your bitcoin, this web-based wallet is probably the safest and simplest. You can also take a look at the Ninki wallet
