2461  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as a means to restore people's authority over money on: March 01, 2022, 10:39:07 AM
As of now bitcoin is being used as a way to overcome the ongoing financial block out of the war between Ukraine and Russia. Mass adoption of bitcoin is not that effective all around, so it can't solve macro level issues in a short. Cryptocurrency is being used to receive donations and how perfect this has been getting used isn't revealed. Good number of donations have been received. Nowhere Russia mentioned usage of cryptocurrencies.

Even if they find cryptocurrency as a way to escape the collapse of ruble, they can't move funds and convert fiat to crypto. So, this is not an effective measure.
2462  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bull Run in Bitcoin on: February 28, 2022, 11:59:24 PM
In 2013 we had a bull run but at that time bitcoin was not known to me. I myself saw the 2017 bitcoin bull run and then we had a massive altcoin bull run. We were expecting the same to happen in 2021 but it did not happen. Some people say that bull run is delayed and some say that next bull run will be after the next halving in 2024.

I sometimes think that bitcoin and crypto market are now matured and we may not see extended bull or bear runs. Bitcoin will reach a hunderd thousand dollars or more but it won't be a parabolic move. What are your thoughts on this ?
if someone followed your speculation and bought much Bitcoin that time ? then today they will surely crying and frustrated lol.

though there have been increase happen recently when the price runs up to 45k but that is the highest and now stays at 37k .

this same reason why I did not believe that there is a Bullrun instead i  Knew it is bull trap lol.

I don't want to discuss whether we are in bull run or bull trap market. If we just forget about the bull and bear market, we shall know that bitcoin is in uptrend overall and it rewards to those who hold with patience.

If we can make 2025 the year where we may look to sell our crypto, then we will be saved from current volatility in the market.
That's the reality of the market. Rather than a bull market what we experience right now is an uptrend. There is an understanding that the market have got dumped relative to the war. This is true, but the outcome from the crash and the price pumping we experience now is not out of the worsening war situation.

Bitcoin now has a market cap greater than the Russian Ruble after a sudden price surge coincided with a massive crash for Russia’s currency.

With the price bouncing this has happened with bitcoin and ruble. The market of bitcoin keeps progressing well with the increasing usage. Russian cryptocurrency exchanges were offline whereas Ukraine keeps receiving donations on bitcoin.
2463  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When to know Bitcoin has reset? on: February 28, 2022, 11:33:22 PM
Whenever there is good growth, further there'll be price correction. This is how the market have moved over the years. As OP said when this correction happens can be known only by the God.

Most of the time when the price reaches ath, traders will be observing close about the market resistance. Slowly if the market isn't able to breach barriers there'll be downward movement. This mostly serves to be a correction. Sometimes this lasts long and sometimes ends with small fluctuation. So, it is upto our learning to predict the market correction.
2464  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [BTT] BitTorrent Speculation on: February 28, 2022, 11:19:04 PM
I plan to invest a little money in the new BitTorrent, I saw the ATL was yesterday. Is now the best time to buy?

https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/bittorrent

need a little advice Grin

Just stay away.  And stay away from any project that uses Tron’s blockchain.  There’s just no long term prospects in there.

BitTorrent had the potential to be great in crypto imho if Justin Sun and his engineers had done a better job with the implementation.  I think their first mistake was they issued another fkn token.  I mean who would want to have BTT?  No one.  It would’ve been better if they used TRX.  That at least would’ve made the seeders a bit more interested cos TRX is somewhat accepted as payment at some sites.  BTT is not and is completely useless.
During the days of its launch it was much into hype and got launched through Binance launchpad. Initially it was into good growth, though there is no real-time usage. Being on the TRX platform and a well established business getting into cryptocurrency gave it big demand. Today while checking with the coinmarketcap I can find two BitTorrent. One is BTTNEW and the other BTTOLD.

2465  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting on the war on: February 28, 2022, 10:29:19 PM
Everything is business and the gambling platform have tried to make some revenue out of the conflict. When some is suffering for the survival and the same is being used as a way of money making isn't a fair game. It is unethical and not many join this. We can report this to the platform and surely they'll remove it. If this continues we might see the betting odds for the number of deaths on each country, befor that happens it is good to stop them.
2466  Economy / Economics / Re: Sanctions left and right, Can the Russian economy survive? on: February 28, 2022, 10:24:06 PM
Russian billionaires have lost more than $126 billion after the invasion on Ukraine. This billionaire list consists of 13 persons, and met Putin days back.

Quote
“What is happening is a necessary measure,” he reportedly told them. “We were simply left with no chance to do otherwise.”

Putin have said no way of stopping the invasion. And none of the billionaire commented on it. Everyone scared to talk to Putin. The invasion have caused a big blow in the world market. The sanctions from different countries have affected each billionaires differently. This isn't gonna stop Putin from the invasion on Ukraine.

Yes I also read this news previous day and I think this is really a good step. Like FTX given 25$ to every Ukrainian.
We are all looking that crypto is helping the people a lot.
The key objective behind the FTX Token is charity. It has been doing it partnering with different charity organisations. Now it has got an opportunity to directly involve into charity providing every individual with $25. No one could've thought cryptocurrency will help at such a situation. Now more firms have added cryptocurrency addresses to its GoFundMe and patreon accounts.
2468  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is really controlling the Bitcoin market. on: February 28, 2022, 05:31:18 PM
It is the Whales at times and common people most of the time. Whales make large volume of transaction and this makes panic among the small scale investors. This panic will make users to sell it out. These days the war is expected to make big changes in the market downwards. But, people using it due to the prevailing situation have increased the investment over bitcoin than selling. So, it is quite hard to find who is controlling the market.

Basically never take middle handicap @1.85, take one that pays @1.6 and you will pass much more often. This brings to my only problem with Sporstbet and them offering only middle handicap. Going to write about it in their thread once more Smiley

no ATP tournaments next week, set for Indian Wells
There's Davis cup this week and WTA Lyon happening starting Monday. Is there any news on Djokovic and if he's being allowed to play the US tournaments? It would be a shame to see him miss out on yet another tournament.
In this week the qualifier match for the Davis Cup is taking place. From some news sources it looks like Djokovic is added to the entry list of Indian Wells, though it is restricted to vaccinated players. Djokovic have said whatever the tournament I'll go and play if the opportunity is provided.
2471  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why are there so many coins and the reason why some developers failed on: February 27, 2022, 10:01:25 PM
Most of the time the project doesn't have any key elements. Someone who has got technical knowledge will learn and try to make money out of the air. This is the reason why most of the projects fail.Apart, there are projects that fail out of lack of investment and promotion.

It is possible to list few projects that have got into the market and then failed due to lack of development. Further after years the same project is developed and are successful. So, it is all about the key elements and the team working on it with the growing technology.
2472  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buy Bitcoin, You'll Thank Me Later - Mexican Billionaire Says on: February 27, 2022, 09:08:43 PM
The conflict between Russia and Ukraine will never be forever so we should take advantage of the opportunity to invest in bitcoin right now while the price is not yet in peak. Because once this war will be over, i guess bitcoin price will start to move up again along with altcoins too. So it will only mean that we miss another chance to invest in bitcoin as well as those established altcoins.
Someday this is gonna end, but the economy affected by this war will have its impact for longer time period. If the war ends within short it won't affect rest of the world, if not the impact can be experienced all around in terms of economic downturn. This is the reason why people fear of investing into bitcoin and proven altcoins.
Regardless of what is happening right now, bitcoin will always have a bright future because bitcoin fever has already started and is now inevitable. So i don't see no reasons why some are still hesitant to invest in bitcoin knowing it will offer huge returns if we start buying and hodling it at its current price.
Bitcoin having assured future and it is proven, but fear always accompanies when the investment is made at a risky situation. Over the days the fluctuation is quite high and if price decline steep one cannot get out of the market instantly. Right now it is an opportunity for the whales to accumulate more.
2473  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin 🐕‍🦺 1$ possible in 2022 or not? on: February 27, 2022, 08:14:31 PM
~snip~
In terms of catalysts, there's probably none bigger than having the world's richest person in your corner. Tesla CEO Elon Musk owns only three cryptocurrencies. One of those happens to be Dogecoin. Musk is no stranger to promoting Dogecoin on social media platforms like Twitter, or posting obscure memes implying that Shiba Inu dogs are "going to the moon." what do you think about dogecoin?
In my opinion coins like Doge are very difficult to predict because so far investors who have large capital they invest with these coins only aim to pump and dump and when large disposals are carried out by these investors, of course, the price will fall and make people in the market panic so they decide to sell simultaneously so as not to lose, so I'm not sure if the price of the doge coin will be able to reach $1 this year.
The crypto market is a place where anything is possible. The year 2021 was a huge hit for memecoins as they were used by whales as a tool for bump and dump. Most of us here would never think doge can hit $0.7/doge, but Elon made it happen. Can doge reach 1$ or not, let's wait and see what he will do next.
The next price pumping of dogecoin won't happen out of Elon Musk. It was 2021 he made it a tool and further he'll pump some other cryptocurrency after holding a good volume. He's purely into business, and this lets him to think of profit. Now looking for his words more people would've invested on dogecoin, but how this gonna make the investors happy is still a mystery. We don't know the timeline, but someday dogecoin will touch $1
2474  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ukraine - Russia war crisis. Will Bitcoin be legalized soon? on: February 27, 2022, 07:06:11 PM
Seeing that sanctions are being applied on Russia which has seen several sectors of the economy including the banking sector being affected , if Russia supports bitcoin then chances are high that other countries will pull out of it.... At this moment most countries want to do the opposite of what Puttin and his forces are doing, to register their displeasure. But for now bitcoin has no borders hence i dont really expect much to be affected.

I don't think that will happen, pulling out of btc just because Putin decided to accept btc won't do them any good and certainly won't harm Putin in any way, why should they do it when they are in the space before Putin would ever imagine it,
The only way to deal with Putin is not to engage in any form of trade even if they decided to accept crypto, if nobody does business with him, accepting crypto won't be of such a great benefit to him and that will hurt him even more.
What you say is the view as a common public. There were more and more things that need to be considered prior to it. The first thing is the investment on Russia from foreign countries. The list falls as Germany, China and US being the top three. When the country isn't allowed to make trade the impact will be over these countries. Thats the reason why these countries don't make any statements on the sanctions. For now bitcoin helps them tackle the situation, beyond that isolating Russia from trade isn't a possible solution.
2475  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Arbitrage in crypto on: February 26, 2022, 09:11:05 PM
I am not into arbitrage trading yet, but I have been learning about it so I don’t know about software that can be used for this type of trading as of yet. From what I have understood about this arbitrage trading, it is risk free, and that’s the good thing about it. But, I think it’s going to be a lot of work for you as a trader to do arbitrage trading, as you would have to be looking for markets where you can buy a crypto asset at a given price and where it can be sold at a higher price to make profit. If there would be software as you have said that can aid the trader in this process, then it would be really cool.
I'm not sure of people doing it with software, in most cases there'll be difference in price between countries. This is being used as an opportunity to buy from the country where the price is low and sold on the country where the price is high. This is how arbitrage trading works, and here you need a companion from the buying/country to make the process easier.

For your information Sam Bankman-Fried, founder of FTX Token was into arbitrage trading in the beginning. This is the base from which he built the FTX exchange and the token.
2476  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN - ROAD TO 8,000$ - speculation on: February 26, 2022, 08:18:07 PM
$8000 was reached during the year 2017 for the first time. From that point it reached its first ath value. Further there is decline in the price reaching around $3000. From this range it slowly started moving and once again crossed $8000 in 2018. After this the great upward movement happened in the year 2019, which further fluctuated.

The last time bitcoin price experiencing $8000 was during the year 2020. In comparison to the adoption, large scale company participation, regulation around the world. We can mention so many factors that won't let the price to reach $8000.
2477  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: February 26, 2022, 07:34:55 PM
3 wickets for just 79 runs. Something went really wrong this time for the Newzealand side. Latham out for a duck and Young for just three runs. Nicholls and Mithchell have the ability to take them out of this situation. If these two also get out then Newzealand will be in deep trouble.
I was not expecting this performance from New Zealand bating line-up but very strong comeback by South African bowlers specially Rabada is pick of bowler but still very long way to go for them if they want to win this match and level this series currently Grandhomme is on counter-attack and he completely his fifty very quickly with the help of 7 fours and 2 sixes in just 39 balls.

Right now, both complete fifty of partnership also which is good for home team as they lost early five wickets very quickly but still trailing by 216 runs but if they want alive in this match and want to win this series these both need to stay at crease for some long time. Now, after winning first test by bowlers and poor batting from South African in second test, New Zealand struggling in batting and feeling shortage of their experienced campaigner Ross Taylor and captain Williamson.

It's stumps on day 2 and I'm actually surprised to see what has transpired in this match. New Zealand are 5 down for 157, they have played 45 overs. Grandhomme scored a 50 though. I would like to see them play really defensive right now and just stay at the pitch. If they don't get out they will score eventually. But things don't look so good as they are still trailing by 207 runs.
New Zealand have managed to withstand the situation with the performance of Colin de Grandhomme and daryl mitchell. If one of the wicket falls, South Africa will try to end the innings within 200. The interesting thing, Colin de Grandhomme have scored the 54 runs in 61 balls with 7 fours and 2 sixes. I think he's playing to make a better score before losing his wicket.
2478  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banning Bitcoin is Like Banning the Internet, Says Russia’s Finance Minister on: February 26, 2022, 05:18:02 PM
At least there's someone like this finance minister who's very like-minded and understands the potential of bitcoin. The central bank can tell its implications to him but we're sure that he's not gonna change his mind with what he see with bitcoin. It may still take time since Russia is doing something that's more important than it. As what the finance minister has said, I think I've read that from someone already through the forum that has said the same thing. It is an inevitable technology and not just a technology but also plays a big role to the online and finance economy which is sharing more than $700M in market cap but has reached $1B during its ATH.
The finance minister is very like minded, than his willing he is much concerned about the war situation. Right now it is helping it's citizens. This seems to be the reason why he's much into legalizing of bitcoin. From just a technology it has been transforming with its different varied usage and has been transforming lives into a new space.
2479  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be prepared on: February 22, 2022, 11:41:58 PM
Everyone won't be positive about the market as well as doesn't have the right understanding about the market. It is always a must to have close observation over the market, only then it is possible to maintain the portfolio without much of variation happening with the market change. Users who are professionally connected with cryptocurrency find every market move as a way to earn.

These days the panic among the common public relative to cryptocurrency investment have decreased a lot, because people have learned better about the real market than assumptions.
2480  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Best casinos that gives dividends to token holders? on: February 22, 2022, 11:03:48 PM
Better than getting profit from the tokens you should look at the casinos who let you invest directly in the bankroll, this is a nice way to make a profit paying in the house side. I know Just-Dice let us do it and for sure if you look for more you will find them.

Another function is staking but is better to get an income from the game profit than the staking process.
This assure with profit, because house always have its edge. However this profit is very small in percentage. When we Stake the tokens we'll receive dividends periodically and if the token turns potential what we get as profit is very big compared to the profit out of investment over the bankroll/house. As these play tokens doesn't have any real usage apart from its purpose of gambling we can't expect big growth with these tokens.
