2481  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Miner Marathon Digital Pays Off Silvergate Revolving Credit? on: January 06, 2023, 10:00:16 AM
Marathon's plan initially, Schumacher said, was to draw on the term loan to pay down the credit line, but FTX's collapse and resulting market uncertainty forced a rethink, with the company instead deciding it was a better idea to deleverage its balance sheet.
👇
I think that Luna's shock made everyone think carefully before expecting the bullish market to continue, and therefore the shock of FTX had experienced the need to provide liquidity before the price fell very low.
Winter will be harsh, but I believe that these institutions will survive during this period.
I hope it will be a lesson that companies will benefit from in the long run.
2482  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Odd behaviour in Exodus Wallet on: January 06, 2023, 09:40:43 AM
The problem isn't from Exodus wallet. The problem is with the smart contracts that allow sending 0 tokens without owning the private key.
Visit the following topics. The same thing has been already reported on TRON blockchain and Binance smart chain.

Watch out for this NEW TransferFrom Zero Transfer Scam!
I got scammed out of 100000 dollars by fake 0 dollars withdrawal on BSC
Thanks for clarifying what happened. So in short, it's transferFrom function with Zero amount to any address and thus doesn't need pvtKey.

It is strange that scams evolve like this, but it is better to send an email to Exodus developers to fix such *bug*. All they need is to hide transactions with zero balance, just as explorers should do, so why wasn't such a solution implemented?!
2483  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Indians moved 0ver $3.8B to foreign exchanges because of new crypto tax rules on: January 06, 2023, 09:19:47 AM
They have changed their stance multiple times. Sometimes the government says that they will ban it, then they put heavy taxes on it. If it was that bad, why are they letting people loose money with these crypto investments and then charging 30% taxes on top of it as well?
Most likely they want to keep people away from investing and then make some profit from imposing heavy taxes while blaming the investors if they lose their money.
it is a very confused policy in a large society like India. I do not know, but it seems that the government still does not understand this sector, and yet they found it an opportunity for more harm.
2484  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stay away from BONK on: January 05, 2023, 02:34:03 PM
Top 20 addresses are 50% of all tokens, but you need to take into account that some addresses belong to exchanges. The tokens were distributed via airdrop, so most of the owners received their tokens for free. A 400% price increase is a small achievement, but it is speculation.
I think this will increase the risks, if the platforms can control more than 30%, this means that they can easily cause a currency dump, and the coordination of platforms among themselves is easier than individuals as they will aim to enhance their profits and have complete control over clients’ money.
Generally, it is better not to catch the green candle.
2485  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mark Cuban wants to buy more Bitcoins on: January 05, 2023, 02:23:24 PM
I don't know, but as an investor trying to increase his profits and seeing Bitcoin as a good opportunity for him, what is exciting about this news? We are in the year 2023 and news from companies, governments and large sectors is supposed to be the most important. As for investments from individuals, they are nothing more than an increase in adoption, which has reached almost all continents.
2486  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Meme coin caused Solana price to rise by 40% in a week on: January 05, 2023, 10:20:17 AM
MemeCoin cannot do that, as some speculators may have found it an opportunity to invest, especially with the closing of trading and weak liquidity during the holidays.
In general, it is not a good hypothesis for a currency that you want to invest in in the long term, as there are many doubts about the centrality of Solana, so if you were invested in it before, withdraw your profits and leave the rest for a short-term investment.
2487  Economy / Economics / Re: If your passive income beats inflation rate, deposit might be a better choice. on: January 05, 2023, 09:57:49 AM
Your words are good on the one hand, but suppose, for example, if inflation continues at rates such as 10%, then within 5 years you will not have enough capital to cover these expenses, or rather, your capital will be consumed so that it will not be able to generate additional income for you.
So the issue is not the return on investment, but rather the nature of that investment, as its value decreases faster than the interest on it.
Your words will make sense if we are talking about gold ROI.
2488  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Indians moved 0ver $3.8B to foreign exchanges because of new crypto tax rules on: January 05, 2023, 09:48:08 AM
Perhaps it is the government's policy to try to keep people away from using cryptocurrencies by imposing high taxes on them.
I do not know how the report was able to estimate the amount of liquidity that was transferred to international platforms, but India's position towards regulating cryptocurrencies was floundering, and the policy may not last for a long time.

In general, if the state does not have a clear policy towards cryptocurrencies, you may be able to hide your currencies without being subject to taxes, but in general, tax compliance avoids indispensable problems.
2489  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I'm starting an exchange | Need some help with features/ideas on: January 05, 2023, 09:29:09 AM
I'm starting an exchange that connects to other exchanges as a proxy and preform the exchange without the logged data. Let me explain...
It depends on the type of service you are trying to provide

* If you act as a proxy for CEXs --> you will register with new account --> perform KYC --> then make that account available to unknown people using your API without asking them for KYC then You are providing a service closer to money laundering and may not be legal or in accordance with TOS of most CEXs.

* If you act as a proxy for DEXs & your code is open source then it is a good experience and may get some attention (try uploading the code anonymously)

* If it is just advice and recommendations, you provide a service similar to BestChange.
2490  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Wallet Selling on: January 05, 2023, 08:57:10 AM
I do not know what are.you saying but you are saying that there is no details lease give us more details so that we might work.
AFAIK, he is trying to sell wallets that have lost money/deals during 2022 and therefore useful for those scammers who want to prove that they lost their money due to Luna or for tax evasion Since you incurred losses and therefore will not pay tax.

I do not know if what he is trying to present legally in all countries or even will not expose you to the legal issue, but it is better to avoid buying such wallets, as it may be related to stealing things or hacking, and then you will be prosecuted as the culprit.
2491  Other / Archival / Re: Mining Slots for Genesis Mining on: January 05, 2023, 08:45:53 AM
It is 2023. It is difficult to convince someone that cloud mining is something that generates money and you do not have enough trust to prove it. Therefore, without pictures and evidence proving your possession of mining tools, you are lying.

I'm pretty sure any opportunity you had to even remotely bring in someone to invest in your little hussle got thrown out the window the moment you got those negative trust ratings for possible collateral scam-schemes.
Most of them do not target the registered accounts, but rather "guests" who read the posts either through Google search or any other way.

Nice collection, can you share your selection criteria? Or the reasons that will make you add or delete topics to that list.
You could get some nice layouts/tables[1] [2] to show off your list, although the current layout is just fine.

2493  Economy / Economics / Re: Never try to time lowest or up just try to dca near by on: January 01, 2023, 12:01:21 PM
Other than the first line of your topic, the rest was related to theories, not facts that could be built upon.

Unfortunately, trying to predict the bottom specifically to buy in huge quantities is considered a non-judgmental policy*, as buying at 10k or 16k will not make a difference if you are a long-term investor, but predictions can be used to enhance the DCA, as when predictions are more likely to invest in DCA in a lower amount, and vice versa.

In short, we are close to the bottom, so do not stop buying as long as you have extra money, you are not afraid of losing it and you do not know where to invest it with your desire to invest for the long term.

* It's like trying to go full speed by waiting for all the green lights to come your way.
2494  Economy / Economics / Re: The world continues dumping US dollar (Gold, New World Order, World War III) on: January 01, 2023, 11:54:31 AM
The figures that you mentioned cannot be adopted as a reference to know the global trend unless it continues in the same direction. For example, we all know the reason for many banks buying gold after February 2022, and therefore waiting for a year or two will determine whether it is a temporary fear or is it a permanent trend.

In general, we can see that some countries have begun to think about diversifying their reserves, and therefore we may witness an attempt to buy gold or some currencies, but it will be shy in order to compensate for inflation in the US dollar, but radical changes will require a world war.
2495  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Things to remember for the year 2023 on: December 31, 2022, 02:25:11 PM
We can give hundreds of tips but it will be a dead letter unless it is implemented realistically. Words are easy, but actions are harder.
For example, it is easy to say, follow an experienced person, but what do you mean by experience?
Most of us tend to believe in food on social media, and therefore it is easy to influence us if we decide to follow a trader with me.
2496  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Can Now Be Bought Using Apple pay and Google pay On Binance on: December 31, 2022, 12:56:45 PM
Can you give a better source or more details than just a tweet that could be deleted later?
Better source ---> https://www.binance.com/en/feed/post/141143

Despite the usefulness of the payment integrations, there will be a certain number of users that are not able to utilize the services due to Apple Pay and Google Pay not working in all countries.
It seems that not all countries will get these features, and therefore it is a good option for those who do not want to go through the complications of payment, which provides an additional advantage for them.

They did not disclose the list of countries that will have this feature.
2497  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is this exchange legit? on: December 31, 2022, 12:11:35 PM
Is circleex.io legit?
Where did you find this site? Or what is special about that site and made you search for it?
In general, unless there is sufficient trading volume here, whatever offers you make, it is better to ignore those sites, which will lead to the loss of all your capital sooner or later.
2498  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Goldman Sachs is looking to buy crypto, why? on: December 31, 2022, 12:01:55 PM
Following the collapse of the FTX, which impacted valuations and reduced investor interest, Goldman Sachs aims to invest or spend tens of millions of dollars buying crypto companies. Which indicates to me that they clearly see some benefits of blockchain if it's under their control.
I do not think that Goldman Sachs will buy Bitcoin at a cheap price in order to sell it or create an exchange, but rather find an investment opportunity for that, so they will buy Bitcoin, and give users a balance in their account equal to the value of that Bitcoin, shares or any tools with a reference value of the Bitcoin that they purchased.

2499  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most newbies don't know this on: December 31, 2022, 11:49:25 AM
The question is how did you get hacked? For example, if the hacker reaches the root access, he may be able to record the screen, send coins, or access the private key, and then even if you have a thousand accounts, they will all be hacked.

Multiple independent accounts are useful if the wallet file has been hacked one/one as each account will need to be brute force if you use a different password.
But if the device is hacked, all accounts will be hacked.
2500  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Crypto Exchange Business on: December 31, 2022, 11:36:14 AM
I would love to just post my business plan on here to get peoples advice. The problem with that is that my business plan is unique and can be easily be launched by someone with more experienced than me. Im all for being transparent and sharing innovating  ideas to the community but I wouldn't appreciate someone just taking it and claiming its theirs. I hope yall understand and if you're curious about it just message me ill be happy to share my business plan.
You can post what you want specifically, for example, developing applications and exchanging cryptocurrencies are general terms that may refer to many technologies, so what are you looking for specifically?
Write, for example, a back-end developer, a stack, a game developer, focusing on the interface, user privacy, and other things.
Is your project profitable, or will you pay the developer, or a partnership and share giving system?
