Seriously?
Why do you accept and not DarkStar_?

Basically @icopress was lying to you to make fun of you for having made an application outside of the application period.  The Forum is full of people like that who will say or do anything in an attempt to manipulate the system.

If you can't endure to wait more time follow NeuroticFish's advice and make double-spend using RBF.

Armchair experts such as yourself seem to overlook to fact that as I've said previously, Zap Wallet has no option to do anything of the sort.  Not zaptranasaction, not CPFP, not even a double spend nore export the privkey and move the funds to another wallet.

Rebroadcasting the rawtransaction and waiting are my only options.

And since the tx was first seen 2 months ago, I guess that the sender has the patience to wait a few more days  Wink

How very true.

Now, I got one question that you may or may not know the answer to. What kind of improvements (if any) have been made over the years concerning head trauma from the sport? I ask that because I also actively follow MMA and that is also a big question there (Sure, much less than American Football, but I know Rugby had its fair share of issues).

Head injuries in sports is a big issue regardless of the code, or the game.  In Rugby, a player can (and is) sent off for concussion injuries and can also require medical scans after a game (and can be out for a couple of weeks recuperating).

I'll have to do some digging on the nrl.com website for more information.
2484  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Transaction fees: send or wait on: May 05, 2021, 07:30:49 AM
It should get confirmed in the week-end.

And if it doesn't and you can import the seed/keys to Electrum (sorry, I'm not familiar with Zap), you can increase fee, since it has RBF enabled (just then it will become another transaction, which may matter or not)

There doesn't seem to be anyway to export privkeys from Zap wallets.  Zap also doesn't allow you to spend unconfirmed TX's (and you can't cancel a TX already in play).

I appreciate your estimate that the TX will clear by the week-end.  Hopefully you are right.
2485  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Transaction fees: send or wait on: May 05, 2021, 06:45:23 AM
I do agree that this kind of situation should not happen and the network should be stable and at reasonable price (not for high priority, but still go through in 10-14 days), but nothing is perfect in life after all...

I'm up to 2+ months for a TX sent via the Zap LN wallet https://blockchair.com/bitcoin/transaction/bb128bd08a78bb985a6fb40b78b822c484a58ba0bbc6fa6fd540565d52e1d022 - No CPFP no zaptransaction, nothing available... (I'd inadvertently set the TX fee to one sat, not ten sats...)

Hopefully the number of tX's will keep subsiding ... otherwise ... I'll just have to keep re-sending...  (any suggestions will be gratefully received).
2486  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What questions should I answer before I buy a new currency on: May 05, 2021, 06:39:51 AM
It doesn't matter what they hype surrounding a coin might be - You should always check that a coin has a dev team, is listed on two or more exchanges, has an android wallet as well as a PC wallet, an [ANN] thread here (and a website elsewhere).  A steady moving block-chain that isn't succeptable to whales coiming along and mining the death out of a coin.  (Little or no pre-mine).

Avoid ICO's / IPO / anything else where there is a "pre-sale" - Pre-sale = Pre-mine = Get rich quick for the Devs who will dump their bags and run.

Good to hear.  You'll probably find that you played the "Union" version of Rugby as opposed to the "League" version.  You might want to look up some of the national sides such as the French Rugby Union team and then see who they play at a National and local level.

Out of the two of us @aoluain has been following the European games more closely.  (I know @Welsh has also looked in a couple of times too)
2488  Other / Meta / Re: Spending smerits as you earn them. on: May 05, 2021, 05:40:39 AM
The merits I receive are usually one or two at a time, so I'll just merit whatever I happen to be reading at any given time.  Having said that however, I usually check to see if I have previously given that person merits or not and if I have, I'll usually just go on and find something else to merit by a user I haven't previously merited.

I feel merit sources shouldn't merit Legendary or Hero members more than one or two merits at a time and should instead search out posts by users below Hero rank.

By all means welcome @TheNineClub - The second and third posts contain links to various Rugby websites around the World (it's a work in progress) - if there's a club, or organisation that you think should be on the list - by all means post a link in the thread and I'll add it if it's relevant.

Comments about Rugby games are always welcome as is any wagers you may have placed (after all this thread is in the "Gambling Discussion" section.

@aoluain and I post most days, so we can always answer any questions you may have fairly promptly.

2490  Economy / Reputation / Re: TecShare - Farewell my friend. on: May 04, 2021, 01:01:43 AM
TECSHARE's well publicized wallet address 1Hz3HZT4v8qxtyYiRQ66UHTUSK3dKCnVMW currently has a balance of 0.01120000 BTC / 640.11 USD in it which has not been touched since 2020-01-10 00:37 which their family seems unaware they were in possession of.

It'd be interesting to see what kind of price rise those funds will attain into the future should they remain untouched.
2491  Other / Meta / Re: DefaultTrust changes on: May 04, 2021, 12:34:58 AM
CITM was one of the original people on DT1 on the legacy DT system. IIRC, there were many DT2 accounts that were traded or involved in scams that were on DT solely because of CITM. I believe that multiple additional people were added to DT1 when CITM was removed because of how small DT would have been otherwise.

And how many of those scammers were then voted down once they had been exposed?  If they are suddenly reemerging as DT2 now it can only mean that no one back then took any action against the scammers, or by contacting CITM to advise them they had scammers in their DT list.

So I have a bet on currently with the Dragons V Wests Tigers in the NRL, [who have lost]

At the start of the season, I was calling the NZ Warriors and the Tigers to win the various games, but I called the Cowboys and Dragons based on past wins where I should have called the Warriors & Tigers.

So four from eight games for the week won.

The NRL 2021 Season week 9 kicks off in two days time.

Screen shots via https://www.nrl.com/

My picks for week 9 are:

I'm going to say the Rabbitohs (even though the Storm are in near equal good form - it'll be a good game), Panthers, Eels (another good game in the making), Knights, Titans, Broncos, Sea Eagles over the Warriors (Dally Cherry-Evans will pull some magic out of his ass again) & The Dragons.  (And yes, I do put bets on all games)

(The only way I can make a bet worth while on https://nitrogensports.eu/sportsbook is to give the Bulldogs a headstart  Grin )

I also take a look today at my profile and I saw a difference in my Trust ratings as well.
I can't explain it but I thought to report it here so you guys look at it. Btw, I refresh the page, and still the same... Grin

This is how I see your profile (with the ;dt toggle on) and BPIP scores at the moment:

A couple of people have been ... shall we say tweeking their default trust lists which has had an impact on quite a few other users' scores.

Yes its a Barty Party!

I'm locked in for Barty, Brady and Sabalenka for their games tomorrow:

Hopefully they'll continue in their fine form.  When they face-off in the semis I'm leaning towards Barty over Brady and Sabalenka and probably Sabalenka over Brady.

2496  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin betting on the 2024 US Presidential Election | Biden+Harris Vs ?? ?? on: May 03, 2021, 01:01:22 PM
...
So in case you want to make a bid in favor of Harris, do it before she becomes the president. Once she becomes the president, the odds are going to be more biased.

I'd definitely like to place a wager or two on the outcome of the 2024 US Presidential Election, but I'm not certain which gambling sites have wagers this far out from the vote.  In either case as a couple of people have pointed out already, we can't be certain which gambling sites will still be in operation in another two or three years time.
2497  Other / Meta / Re: Meriting a user who just merited you on: May 03, 2021, 09:59:10 AM
I remembered this thread, because lately fellow member @Cnut237 and I have been giving each other merits. At some point you doubt if that could be seen as a merit exchange but I think it is clear that we give them to each other for worked posts in which many times we start with separate points of view and at the end we come to close conclusions.

From what I can see, you've sent a grand total of eight merits and they have sent a total of ten merits.  (your eight were in one merit lots sent while you've receive ten in just four separate posts).

In small numbers it isn't as big an issue as when there are dozens of merits flying backwards and forth.
2498  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk statement on his Bitcoin holding on: May 02, 2021, 02:40:09 AM
Question:  Whose head would roll at Tesla if Bitcoin were to surge immediately after the bitcoin were sold?

Answer: No one's because no-one at Tesla does anything without Elon Musk's authorisation.  It's his company after-all.

Saying Tesla chose to sell bitcoin is like saying the dog ate the homework which is a poor level of responsibility for Musk to take.
2499  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.10.0 on: May 02, 2021, 02:31:01 AM

Federal Reserve chairman Jerome Powell has been asked about Dogecoin at a news conference ...

https://coinmarketcap.com/alexandria/article/top-u-s-banker-asked-about-doge-what-did-he-say

From the press conference commentator:

Quote
For some cryptocurrencies (especially Bitcoin, which has a fixed supply of 21 million,) this has been interpreted as a positive thing — because these digital assets help serve as a hedge against inflation.

The same probably can’t be said for DOGE, which has an eye-wateringly high supply of 130 billion tokens.

If every person were to own DOGE, then it would be spread out not quite 20 DOGE per person across the entire planet.  These are the kinds of points that need to be drummed into people when they compare Bitcoin's apples to DOGE's oranges.

My three choices to be in the finals to win the US Open, the French Open and Wimbledon are Ashleigh Barty, her recent doubles partner Jennifer Brady and Ashes singles finals opponent Aryna Sabalenka:
