2481  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin XT Post Mortem - Group Discussion on: September 23, 2015, 08:39:56 PM
Bitcoin XT still isn't dead. Even though it looks it already is dead the debate will only end later this year:

Nevertheless, it seems good old classic BTC was the community choice.
2482  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: VIRAL - unmoderated thread - say what you want here on: September 23, 2015, 06:40:30 PM
It seems that someone out there is already considering VIRAL to be dead:

I pretty much agree. perhaps just another PnD coin I guess.
2483  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Donate By Mining | Donation Site For Miners | DBM on: September 23, 2015, 06:37:24 PM
This is a great idea. I guess this will make miners become a big part of the donors.

At least I'll turn my miners on a few hours per week just to do some donations.

Ethereum Price Technical Analysis – Make it or Break it

Can it be broken?
The Ethereum price was seen struggling many times to break a crucial bearish trend line formed on the hourly chart. There were at least 6-7 attempts to clear the highlighted trend line, but every time buyers take the price higher, they fail to...

2486  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Getting Coins on Exchanges on: September 23, 2015, 06:29:57 PM
What are some of the various ways to get altcoins on some of the major exchanges?  Is there a thread that provides that info?

I guess you need to contact the exchanges asking them if your coin can be added. Many of them have a voting section just for that (https://c-cex.com/?id=vote&v=192). You might try to make the suggestion for your coin to be added right there.

here you have a list of all crypto exchanges:

well done! I really like this one and have been mining it a while back ago. Now, I don't have any coins... I guess I'll start to mine some more.

2489  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Internet early stage on: September 23, 2015, 01:46:46 PM
Due to Bitcoin has received more venture capital investment than internet in its early stage ($362 vs $250), do you think this could be significant to say bitcoin will be totally success?

Given the big investments made by VC's, angels and other investors, the industry seems to be thriving. The growing interest of Banks and governments is proof that the technology is here to stay.
2490  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin does not work. on: September 23, 2015, 01:41:19 PM
Bitcoin does not work because people do not trust to buy things with bitcoin. I have a site running now for 5 months selling precious metals, made plenty of sales with credit card, bank transfer, no problems but not a single bitcoin purchase!

What is the point in bitcoin again?

That is probably because people who have bought through your site don't even know what bitcoin is. Bitcoin is still going mainstream, there are still a lot of people that doesn't know about it. Furthermore, many people still don't know how to get bitcoin...
More and more people are joining and it is just a matter of time for bitcoin to become a global currency standard.
2491  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you holding your bitcoin for a price increase? on: September 23, 2015, 12:41:30 PM
of course I'm holding some bitcoin waiting for its price to go up. I think that next year we will inevitably see a price increase before the halving. That's when I'll sell Wink
2492  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How do signature campaigns work exactly? on: September 23, 2015, 02:03:32 AM
I get the general idea that you sign up to a signature campaign and depending on your rank in the forum you have a specific signature and have to post a certain amount of times. What I don't understand very well is how do they determine if your posts are constructive. Is someone screening your posts or does it depend on the length of the post or something else?
Also if I sign up for a signature campaign for a casino for example, do I only have to post in casino related boards or can I post anywhere as long as it is a constructive no-spam post?
Thanks

All signature campaigns have their own demands. It's usual to see gambling sites asking to post at least 50% of the posts in the Gambling section. But, every campaign has its specificities, so before you enlist them you'll need to read through all the campaign related information on its own thread.

you can find the active campaigns here:

2493  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Big LTC Pump! August 2015! Welcome on: September 23, 2015, 01:59:07 AM
Now a month after the first Litecoin halving the price seems pretty stable. Does anyone still believes we shall see the same prices seen in 2013?
2494  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin: currency or investment? on: September 23, 2015, 01:42:16 AM
Quote
A Senate inquiry has decided that bitcoin is a currency, but a study suggests it is largely bought and sold as an investment. For now, at least, bitcoin is unlikely to keep banking regulators awake at night.

www.smh.com.au/national/bitcoin-currency-or-investment-20150904-gjfap7.html

Currently, Bitcoin is already both.
It is already used for some years as a currency and every day more and more people and businesses are using it. And now that the Federal Trade Comission considers bitcoin as a commodity it ca also be considered as an investment.
2495  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There is already a moovie about bitcoin :) on: September 23, 2015, 01:33:53 AM
Well yesterday i were watching CSY CYBER and guess what the episode were about bitcoins, the bad thing is that they just talked about bad use for it,take a look into it and share your opinion.http://playerrdevideos.blogspot.com.br/2015/05/5179.html

Well, you are talking about a series that in an episode they mention bitcoin. Unfortunately, and once again Bitcoin is seen as a bad instrument used by hackers and cibercriminals. They could have mention that the blockchain can offer far more security to our personal data than the one currently used??? of course not...

You should watch the documentaries about bitcoin, and not some turd ass serie that only mentions the dark side of digital currencies.
2496  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: BITMAIN announces Antpool on: September 23, 2015, 01:20:34 AM
I pretty much like this pool. Been using it since it opened and I believe that currently it is one of the best pools around.
2497  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: i need help to start mining litecoin on: September 22, 2015, 08:35:22 PM
GPU mining is relatively easy.
Google Scrypt-GUIminer.
Here is a link to the download; https://guiminer.org/guiminer-scrypt.html
Virustotal if you don't trust the link;

Also, if you're tech savvy, CGminer 3.7.2 allows GPU + Scrypt mining usage:
http://ck.kolivas.org/apps/cgminer/
I'm sure you know that CGminer is safe, this is the main directory for it  Tongue
Yep! nice and simple guide!
As for mining Litecoin, you will need to buy some Scrypt ASICs, which I believe you will need to make a good investment in the latest ASIC hardware to reach ROI
2498  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So What now? ฿itcoin is dead? READ on: September 22, 2015, 07:16:59 PM
Bitcoin is not dead. It has a strong network supporting it that gives its true intrinsic value. If digital currency is to be adopted, bitcoin will still be the number one competitor.

I don't really buy conspiracy theories, but the Us Government and the CIA are pointed as the possible perpetrators... and guess what... that would give them the right and UN support to go over the middle east.
