2481  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-10-11]CCN-42 COIN HITS 48 COINS on: October 07, 2015, 09:08:34 PM
Ooops a daisy, kind of kills the coin that doesn't it lol
2482  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Coinbase pays the fee for its users? on: October 07, 2015, 08:30:34 PM
I noticed this also the couple of times I have used them, it is a bonus and a plus for using Coinbase.
2483  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are there so many altcoins? on: October 07, 2015, 04:08:20 PM
I agree, there are hundreds with most of them being dead coins right now.  Only a hand full have stuck around for a year or two, I think as they are getting easier to create people pump and dump and then move on.
2484  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitcoin aliens owner is not honest on: October 07, 2015, 04:02:06 PM
I downloaded the app ages ago and it was fun for a while but then just got bored and the rewards are so small.
2485  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Laptop Mining on: October 07, 2015, 12:13:18 PM
Really not worth it, I tried last year on some alts and it really isn't worth it.  You would be better renting a rig and joining a pool.
2486  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can This Super-fast Camera be Used to Crack the Bitcoin Code? on: October 06, 2015, 05:07:49 PM
I was quite curious when I saw the header, I was thinking how on Earth can a camera crack the Bitcoin code then I read the op.  Think a new Subject line would be more relevant, although the camera is pretty cool.
2487  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitstamp vs Coinbase on: October 06, 2015, 04:16:16 PM
Coinbase are good, they have a nice little Android app also.
2488  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think this could be a good trading strategy? on: October 05, 2015, 04:26:04 PM
You could be alright with this, 9 times out of 10 the price jumps a bit when they move onto a larger exchange but you could also be left holding a bag of worthless coins, I suppose it is all about timing.
2489  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you had $150 of Bitcoins what method would you use to increase it? on: October 05, 2015, 07:30:09 AM
I would suggest altcoin trading, if you spend some time on the exchanges and in the altcoin threads you might  be able to make a nice profit.  If you find the right coin at the right time you can increase your Bitcoin.  I would not put the whole 0.5 into one coin, spreadin it a bit would make more sense.  You can also lose it all with these coins but I think you will have more fun then rollimg a some dice.
2490  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if the Government loves cryptocurrencies To pay for their spies and ....... on: October 05, 2015, 07:22:24 AM
They are making some profit from selling off seized coins, it wouldn't surprise me if they were already doing something like this.  There will no doubt be some conspiracy fans that believe that the government is behind Bitcoin and Satoahi is government.
2491  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bank or Bitcoin Wallet? on: October 04, 2015, 09:35:43 PM
Both, you still need banks to live your life and pay the bills and everyday things but you can keep Bitcoin as a long term investment.
2492  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you agree people barrow money for gambling? on: October 04, 2015, 09:27:47 PM
For sure, people that borrow to support their gambling habit are in bad shape unless they win of course, but as it is always stated in this forum and elsewhere you should only gamble what you can afford to lose.  If you need to borrow to gamble then it probably time to quit.
2493  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Is it worth mining? on: October 04, 2015, 09:19:18 PM
I think you might have more luck mining some altcoins rather than Bitcoin to make any profit.
2494  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-10-04] Ukraine’s National Bank Warns About Bitcoin on: October 04, 2015, 09:03:38 PM
Let's hope banks don't start closing any accounts like they have doing in Australia.
2495  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Truth Needed About Cloud Mining on: October 02, 2015, 04:08:37 PM
You have to wait such a long time to get a return on your investment it is not even worth it and chances are that the site you join will end up a scam, this seems to be a popular way of stealing everyone's money which really really sucks.
2496  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex require ID verification? on: October 02, 2015, 04:05:24 PM
Does anybody know if bittrex.com requires ID verification to withdraw bitcoins?
No they do not, you are okay to withdraw your BTC from Bittrex, Poloniex is the only one i think which requires any form of ID.
2497  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-09-30] Monegraph protects digital art with blockchain armor ∙ IHB News™ on: October 01, 2015, 04:56:25 PM
This is pretty damn cool.  The blockchain really is being used in some great ways recently!
2498  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Getting a living from Gmabling alone is possible? on: October 01, 2015, 10:58:05 AM
It would depend on what you are gambling on, how good you are at it, how level headed you are so you don't go all in and lose everything so I would say it it totally possible but I wouldn't put my money on it Smiley
2499  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Faucets Legality on: October 01, 2015, 10:33:39 AM
the revenue is so low  that no one is going to bother with them, also they are completely in crypto currency , there is no fiat involved there, so not taxable and obviously legal
Exactly, faucets are operating on really low volume so they are irrelevant. The Governments mostly care about bitcoin exchanges, marketplaces and casinos since there is a bigger bitcoin volume.
But sometimes govt. do interfere in there business. Recently PD was banned in US.
And central banks keeps on releasing warnings saying stay away from these cryptocurrencies.

I think PD was banned in US because it's illegal to gamble online in the United States. If I'm wrong please someone correct me, but I always thought that was the case.

Think you are right, a lot of gambling sites have also stopped operating in the UK as they require a license to do so.
2500  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-09-30] Guardian - does a cashless economy make for a surveillance state? on: October 01, 2015, 07:32:35 AM
Nice article.  It has entered my mind a few times, are we moving forward towards a big brotber world with everything being tracked, although we could be free from the banks with cryptocurrency, we would also be losing a bit of our freedom, not even Bitcoin is 100% anon.

It's not for eveyone but Alex Jones had a documentary a few years ago relating to this "Cashless Society"
