2481  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to sign a message?! on: July 07, 2015, 06:26:03 PM
Why is this not stickied? have you asked the admins to make it a sticky OP?

apparently most topic that gets stickied is about the forum (rules, guide, etc.). tho this thread should really get stickied since a lot of newbies asks about signed message almost everywhere.
2482  Other / Meta / Re: What's with all the new accounts named "`````", "^^^^^", etc? on: July 07, 2015, 05:25:07 PM
can admin not remove or restrict this account to avoid spam?

I don't think theymos will remove those accounts unless it is absolutely necessary. and those accounts probably got permabanned already so their IPs should have some units of evil allocated into them. they'll have to pay a small fee if they want to make a new account.

no never mind, I just tried it with Tor and it looks like it only restrict posting and not registration

it was somewhere on 20$, I think. I forgot when exactly but I saw the price on localbitcoin. tho I didn't buy any and ended up forgetting about it until the $400 price boom made the news
2486  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hey everyone, how and where do you use your bitcoin? on: July 07, 2015, 03:57:54 PM
After learning that the humble bundle accepts bitcoin in another thread, i wanted to know what other cool places I could spend my BTC at, if you have some cool places that accept BTC, please share!

what is "humble bundle?" i am curious. i have not used btc to buy any thing. but i do have some btc.

try googling that and you'll find https://www.humblebundle.com/

they sell digital things, like games and stuff, for cheap.
2487  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hey everyone, how and where do you use your bitcoin? on: July 07, 2015, 01:49:50 PM
I'm sort of between jobs since a month ago so I withdraw BTC to my country's currency to cover some of my expenses.
2488  Other / Off-topic / Re: The country you want to live in on: July 07, 2015, 01:45:51 PM
I'm fine living in my country, thanks. I do want to travel to Japan sometime though.

one of the replies really made me laugh. (sorry, gleb)  Grin

Look, you mother fuckers. This shit ain't funny. I can't believe I allowed myself to associate with all you cocksuckers, including you, perverted BadBear. To think that I opened up to you all, thinking you guys were my friends. This thread is nothing short of a hate thread, and will be reported to the proper authority once he gets out of French 101 later today. At the moment, I taking a big ass dump, and to show you guys what I really think about you, I'm now reaching into the toilet and grabbing a handful of shit, and now I'm rubbing in on all over this laptop...
2492  Other / Meta / Re: How can a hero account only have 99 posts? on: July 07, 2015, 10:37:33 AM
Another one , https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=442928
This user has 138 activity with only 89 post. I've been waiting for an hour but his rank hasn't been updated.

it shows 138 activity and 138 posts now. tho if you're right it's kind of weird to have his post count increased like that.
2493  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Bitcoin gambling on: July 07, 2015, 10:26:50 AM
Hello,
I have a fun idea for bitcoin cummunity but it involves gambling. I live in uk...what are the requeirements to run a gambling website? (only bitcoin) do i have to be registered somewhere and pay taxes? Btw non-profit...

Thanks

dunno about the requirement so hopefully someone will clear that up for you. but what do you mean by "non-profit"? a non-profit gambling site sounds a little weird to me.
2494  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russia is a threat to this world? on: July 07, 2015, 09:52:21 AM
if by world you mean the Earth as a whole then no. russia is not a threat to this world, they're just a threat to people's freedom.
I think we are the real threat, the people, and not any governments
2495  Economy / Lending / Re: Offering loans! on: July 07, 2015, 08:15:28 AM
all collaterals should be held by a trusted third party AKA escrow

2498  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Cost of Bitcointalk Accounts. on: July 06, 2015, 07:30:28 PM
Junior acc can be very cheap possibly 0.015 you can buy a junior account. Full member a little more, I've seen 0.1-0.2 depend on trust. Senior can be around 0.5 btc. All accounts are different if you look at the trust level. Heros is not much different from a senior 0.6 maybe. And I've never seen a lengendary being sold. This should be posted in the digital goods section not here, but be careful when you buy account, ask for a signed message to see if it's hacked.  Smiley

I think you're confusing Jr. member for Member rank. Jr. member is worth only 0.004-0.008 at best. also most people sell Sr. Member for 0.3 ish. and hero for 0.5
2499  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin goes up on: July 06, 2015, 06:50:02 PM
I'm happy with the increase. but 10-20$ are just a small amount on a long term so I don't think this is the right time to celebrate.
Yeah not for us, but for those big players out there who own a lot, should it be a right time for them?

maybe. that depends on what price did they bought BTC at. if they invested when the price was at the 220$ then yes, they should celebrate. but I bet they won't sell it in a hurry after waiting so patiently.
2500  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are we stress testing again? on: July 06, 2015, 06:42:42 PM
that transaction doesn't show up in my mempool

doesn't show up in some explorers.. dunno why. edit: is there any chance that it's because of this?

btw I don't think there's a stress test cuz I just sent some just a hour ago and it got confirmed under 20 minutes
