what happened?
the price crashed.

It's strange how little patience people seem to have in cryptoland. The price went from around 160 to 120, so I would hardly call it a 'crash'. All coin prices fluctuate... not like they go straight up forever.
2482  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN][PURE POS]Information Coin (ITC) Fair & Free distibution on: April 21, 2014, 12:36:09 AM

At it has finally synced but that took 2 hours maybe was my comp?

Also congrats to those that got 2 shares..How can you claim 2 shares? I got one level5 share

Each level gets one share, so you should have gotten 5 shares, I believe.

A level 2 person would get 2 shares, so it's a downgrade over what you received.

I just checked my wallet and got 3 shares, so want to say thanks to the dev. I guess the lvl4 requirement and above requires the person to be a full member or higher too. Or a VIP person.
2483  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Whitecoin developer exposed and SUPRISE its Spoetnik on: April 20, 2014, 06:47:25 PM
Spoetnik the altcoin hater is the developer of Whitecoin and several other SCAM coins. I was privy to some of his private conversations where it turns out his goal is to drive prices down on select coins while he scoops them up for his pump team.

Spoetnik has been unusually supportive of the clonecoin whitecoin (WC) anyone else notice that? Odd operation shitcoincleanup ended eh? You and your pals made a new coin of course.

You sir are the developer behind the majority of this crap and now we know why you get so angry at other coin devs it hurts your bottom line of course.

More facts to follow but go on and dig in the forums you will find plenty of evidence of odd coins he supports and strange posts that correspond to his pumps and dumps.

Bizarre thinking there, although I do recall Spoetnik claiming he could code, and even saying he wanted to make a coin. But I think that thread died off. Ideas are always easy to come by, actually making something is difficult.

Anyway, Muddafudda = shitcoin maker, Yes. That other fellow who made OpenEx .... yes. Spoetnik I expect simply invested in whitecoin.

There is an insane level of hypocrisy amongst all the people who support that shitcoin killing group, and yes, they have ulterior motives. But to say he is the developer is a stretch. More likely he just supports junk coins he invested in, and hates on everything else -- even if there is no logical basis for the hate (not sure if logic and Spoetnik are two terms that go together), with the idea it'll lower their value ... and somehow increase the value of what he is holding.

You are a sleep. it shouldn't bother you at all. Because if your eyes were open you would see how ignorant this coin is.

I am a person. If you meant I am asleep, no, I don't think so. Although yes, I could use a nap.

And coins do not think, so no, the coin cannot be ignorant.
2485  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][QBC] Québecoin - X11 - DGW - Launched! [4.5 GH/s on the first day!] on: April 19, 2014, 09:30:09 PM

And of course I am going to talk trash about the shit/con coin.
50% premine fucking ignorant to support.

"country coin" a jackass excuse to premine 50% dumbfuck actually believe the dev won't pocket the 50%, or release to coins to the community, one dollar at a time buy shit.

Please learn how to write in English. I wouldn't even mind French trolling, even though I don't understand French.

Out of all the trolls spreading fud about in this forum, I'd think at least a few would have mastered the English language by now. Yet they have difficulty writing in full sentences.

If you have qualms about any coin, simply state it in a clear, consise manner, and your point might be taken seriously. Instead you write like you are 12 years old.

And the premine issue was written about earlier in this thread. A member here will also be responsible for the premine, which is to be placed in a bank deposit box/vault, last I heard. At the very least, it's more security than any other nation coin has provided.

Does anybody now the artist of this masterpiece? I would like to purchase the rights for it and rename as "Birth of the Maza Coin Nation"

I found the link to it here:

It's probably the best thing to come out of this entire thread.
2487  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: **MUST READ** NobleCoin Founder addresses "The State of Alt Cryptocurrency." on: April 19, 2014, 12:32:19 AM
In regard to Spoetnik, I have yet to see him actually like one thing in this entire forum ... besides I think VertCoin. And of course that is a coin he holds.

I suppose in some people's minds they think if they spread fud all over the place, those coins will suffer, and people will instead then invest in something more established. It doesn't work that way of course, but I guess it's one of the few logical reasons people post like that.

And 'scam' is so overused a term in this forum that it's silly at this point. People just throw it out whenever they don't like a coin, any new coin, coins that lose them money ... well, basically anything they feel like. I don't think those who yell 'scam' repeatedly realize that intelligent reasoning would work so much better than trolling all over the place.

Or perhaps they just enjoy trolling and it doesn't matter to them.

You guys remember that article from indianz.com that called out payu and said that the Lakotas had never heard of mazacoin? Well I posted the link on the mazacoin facebook page about a month ago and asked what was going on, and I finally got a response today

Quote
Maza Coin This statement was all FUD it was created by a Biased reporter. several parts in this story were false...I took my time in replying because Im focused on the future and growing mazacoin...not constantly responding to trolling FUD statements trying to suppress the price of MZC we wanted the price to drop so we can work as a community to grow it at a slower more stable rate so the price/value last
Like · Reply · 6 hrs

And that reply is an example of the problem. Instead of having a dev or  PR person here answering people's questions, they either avoided them completely, or held irc sessions that most people didn't even see. And even in the irc sessions they tended to avoid questions, or answered with things that didn't make a whole lot of sense at the time.

So a month late you get an answer. Maybe several months from now when maza is low double digits someone from the team will respond with perhaps they should update their website.

JP you're scaring me, we haven't even launched yet... i'm getting flashbacks of Auroracoin only 10 times better....we hit the friggin news??? what!!??

Although I wouldn't go quite as far as the AUR hype, I am surprised it hit the news.  I would have preferred a launch today, but I guess extra press exposure can't hurt.
2491  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN][PURE POS]Information Coin (ITC) Fair & Free distibution on: April 18, 2014, 09:42:40 PM
If you haven't been added please go re-read OP and re-apply. I just re-applied again after I noticed I applied for the wrong level for example. But there was a mistake with OP. Lv5 doesn't state that you should have a Sr membership, it only show 'member'.

And of course just relax and wait patiently just like me  Grin

I also applied for lvl 5 based on the number of quality posts requirement, but am sort of confused now if it requires a sr membership. If you look at the list of those who received stakes, the membership level doesn't seem to be a requirement. And in the OP, it states a certain membership level OR number of posts, not AND.

So I am not sure if it matters or not. Or if it does matter, I would expect a lot of people have applied incorrectly, including myself.

People may look back one day soon and say "remember when you could get COMM for under 500 satoshi?" LOL.

Once this goes to mintpal and assuming the dev fixes all the outstanding issues, I see no reason why it can't reach 1000+. Normally I'd say no, but after seeing BC, FAC and others go really, really higher than I expected, 1000 isn't exactly a crazy number.

New to the party Smiley Any other exchanges I can use to buy in?

Yeah, get rid of the address...

I think there is a reconsideration form on the first page, but it's not active yet. If the dev reads this, I suggest adding a section where whomever is applying for reconsideration can make their case, so to speak. Basically an area where the person can state why they feel they should be considered or whatever they feel they can add to the coin.

I think some typos and reorganization of the form was already touched upon earlier in this thread too.
2494  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN][PURE POS]Information Coin (ITC) Fair & Free distibution on: April 18, 2014, 06:04:59 PM
I'll give this a try, assuming I am not too late.

Apply Type: lv5

Applying for Lvl 5, as I have 500+ posts, many that I consider of decent quality. I have offered suggestions to several devs and posted in numerous threads here in the alt coin section. Although this doesn't relate directly to cryptocurrencies, I have moderated a forum before so I understand the need to find the best people to get the coins to. You don't want people who will disrupt your forum/trolls nor people who don't value the coins at all, and dump immediately. I'm the type that tends to hold coins too long ... so it's sort of the opposite problem for me.

My FB account is several years old, but I'm not a big FB person, so it may be lacking. But it does appear that I squeak by on the min. requirements, with 20+ friends, 15+ posts. Just don't expect high social activity. I realized after thinking about it that the FB requirement most likely is just to rule out cheaters and those applying more than once, so it does make sense as a requirement. If you feel my FB page isn't the most social, or that I haven't been a member here long enough to get lvl 5, feel free to bump me down to a lower level ... I'd be happy to get anything at all.
2495  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I told you. Gamblex was a scam ! on: April 18, 2014, 05:05:28 PM
I remember this looking a bit fishy when I first saw it, and even considered sending them a small amount of doge. But I decided against it ... looked too risky.  The freebies were sort of smart, from a shady perspective. I guess it's something to look out as sort of a warning sign.

Not that it mattered. My doge was still lost as coinex ate it instead.
2496  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN][PURE POS]Information Coin (ITC) Fair & Free distibution on: April 18, 2014, 04:45:07 AM
Can you let me know if I can even apply for any coins if my FB page is lacking? Feel free to check my post history ... 500+ posts.
2497  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN][PURE POS]Information Coin (ITC) Fair & Free distibution on: April 18, 2014, 03:37:56 AM
Just so I know if I can even apply for anything at all here, an active FB acct is also needed, regardless of how many posts we have here, correct?

I would think the focus would be on BTT quality of posts over simply having a FB acct, but that is why I am double-checking.

I have over 500 posts, many I consider at least reasonably decent. But am just a regular member, since I joined here in Jan. And I expect my FB page is extremely lacking, as I hardly ever use it.

So basically I can apply for... I guess nothing... if my FB page doesn't have dozens of fake friends?

Look at my screen name.  I'm scam_exposer.  That's what I do.

Any chance you could something else for a while?

No

And this is why most of what you post isn't worthwhile. And I even agree that the lost coins issue needs to be dealt with. But you seemingly have endless time to post nonstop here, check out hundreds of names, and seemingly just try to disrupt this coin (and others). Basically you are a troll, with all the normal troll-like tendencies. Your trust issue alone sort of demonstrates this.

No normal person, with normal motives, would post like you do. Hence why your arguments hold less weight and are less effective the more you post.

Thank you.  My intention is to try and stop all these coins from crashing and burning and taking a piece of the altcoin world with them.  Since I have been unable to open peoples eyes to the obvious shortcomings of this coin I have decided to try and open their eyes to what must be done to save it.

I don't know why that is so hard to comprehend.  This whole "Get on Mintpal"  is nothing more than a distraction and people are buying into it while the real needs are being ignored.

IF YOU WANT TO SAVE THIS COIN FORGET ABOUT MINTPAL AND RESOLVE THE MISSING COIN ISSUE.  20% IS A BIG DEAL AND THIS COIN WILL NEVER GO ANYWHERE UNTIL IT'S RESOLVED.

Sorry for the caps but these people won't listen.  They think that getting on mintpal will take them to the moon.  That can't be further from the truth.  Many coins get on the big exchanges and then lose value one the trading bots take over never to recover.  That is a fact.

Although I strongly dislike trolls and find your motives suspect, I do agree that the issue needs to be dealt with before worrying about MintPal. But posting about it nonstop is a waste of time and just annoying. It's been what, several days, or maybe a week, since the issue came up? Give them a week or so, and see what happens. Even if they go the HD recovery route, it's not like they can get it fixed immediately.

But yes, it should be a priority. There is no need to spam a thread saying the same thing over and over though.

I'm not usually one to side with trolls, and find their mindset of constantly repeating the same things over and over, typically in bright red letters, extremely annoying, but they are right about one thing -- the missing coin issue needs to be dealt with as soon as possible.

Get it dealt with before getting on any new exchanges, especially MintPal. Although getting on other exchanges typically can be viewed as a good thing, especially one of the big boys (Cryptsy/MintPal), unless there is demand for the coin, there is an equal chance that getting listed will just destroy the price.

I am not sure if the proposed fix is permanent or temporary, but whatever is done, make it a priority. Harddrive recovery would seem to make the most sense, unless the HD is totally trashed. Of course that assumes everyone is on the level here (which as always, is a big assumption).

Personally I find the missing coin thing rather bizarre. As if we go with the skeptical mindset and say it's a scam, it still doesn't make sense. There are many other, and better ways, of running a scam with premines than announce that coins have gone missing from a bad HD. It's an albatross around the coin's neck, and keeps the coin from reaching its optimal price. I won't go into better ways to run a scam, but I have only been into crypto for like only 3 months, and even I can figure out better ways... hence why if it is a scam, it's an extremely lazy and hardly optimal way to do it.

If on the level, there should be ways to fix things. Get another dev on board if necessary and have them look into it. Once that is taken care of, then worry about MintPal, websites, and other coin stuff.
