2481  Economy / Economics / Re: The cost of printing fiat money to BTC generation. on: July 08, 2022, 05:25:06 PM
Let's say for example, one Bitcoin equals to $14,000.

I would like to correct one small detail. Let's say for example that one Bitcoin is equivalent to $21,000, just for ease of calculation.
The rest of your post is in vain, because there is nothing to compare.
2482  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1XBIT.COM ᐉ 7 BTC WB ᐉ Altcoin Betting ᐉ no KYC ᕗ Instant payouts on: July 08, 2022, 05:01:13 PM
Is that all @Erdogan? It's pretty obvious that you are trying to make it look like you don't have any alternate accounts shilling for 1xbit by posting at random periods with gaps in this particular thread.

Don't waste your time trying to hide the truth since it's pointless. You're just a pathetic coward hiding behind different accounts in this forum. Don't forget that.

In one of his previous posts, he said that he wouldn't comment in this thread any more so as to not feed the trolls?
The forum has become so shady that you can no longer rely on the word of scammers and shills!
2483  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: July 08, 2022, 02:41:42 PM
Are there any recent problems with the site when manually betting in hi / lo?

sometimes one click of a button takes 10 seconds to draw a number

My experience with Hi/Lo today has been very smooth, and I've not seen any noticeable lag. From my perspective, everything seems to be working as it should.
Perhaps it's a connection issue or try restarting your browser.
2484  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM EXCHANGE: Openchange (Openchange.cash) (PARTIALLY SOLVED) on: July 08, 2022, 02:16:36 PM
So, in summary, the AML report:

- shows the TX ID.
- shows the amount of bitcoin that is deposited to openchange dot cash, may I assume?
- shows groups of risk score.
- shows that the risk score of that transaction is 94.9%, with no explanation.
- colors it red.
- somehow concludes it's de facto stolen.

Perhaps, a little explanation might clear up the situation. You're likely going to get a feedback of the same color, though.
I find it hilarious that they wave around some random 'tainting service database website' evaluation as if it was definitive proof of anything. Cheesy
This is so unprofessional - either the people behind OpenChange are clueless of how all of this works or they are actually malicious. In both cases definitive signs of a service to avoid.

I don't have to explain why such a website link is no proof of anything. But just to reiterate: anyone can set up a little web server that does basic parsing of transactions and give them some random score. For all we know, such blockchain analysis can be (and often are confirmed to be) close with governments and other authorities; meaning they can directly censor people if we accept such websites' opinions as truth.

Most probably in this case, they flag anything that looks like it comes from ChipMixer as '95% risk' or whatever. I will check later with a ChipMixer withdrawal. Even if someone tumbled stolen coins through CM, there would be no way to return those funds to the legitimate owner, so there is no legit use in freezing them.

It appears that they use the AMLBot API to check for "tainted" or "high risk" coins, but I can't verify these results because it's a paid service.
According to the website, AMLBot is operated by AML CORPORATION LIMITED, UK

To OpenChange; if you're reading this: if the exchange you work with, uses such explanations to steal your funds; and then you try to pass these costs on to your customers, I'm sorry, but you're the stupid party in this business relationship. Your customers know that all this 'tainting talk' and 'risky transactions' is bullshit. Like: how is a Bitcoin transaction risky for you? It's the most irreversible way of transfering money; you got your coins, you're done. No amount of 'alleged risk' will result in an actual risk to your company.

I definitely agree with this. Judging by all of the above, OpenChange should be flagged for illegal misappropriation of user funds and avoided at all costs.
2485  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Satoshi Nakamoto Fooled the World on: July 08, 2022, 01:04:23 PM
Clockwork again.
After I have purchased Bitcoin, I have that number next to my address, no one can really take it away from me by any means, and further more, I can send it to you in exchange for some service or good from you and there you have, I just used my Bitcoin to purchase a resource with value!
The imagination is in your head, not in our heads. And it's not only imagination. It seems a mix of jealousy, lack of synapses and a brainwash from your governments, politicians, etc, over the years!

Now you've just described the process of joining Nakamoto scheme: someone give you a resource, and you sent them a number. They gave you a resource people can utilize, and you gave them a numeric label that shows they have joined Nakamoto scheme just like people got some kind of a label when they joined Bernie Madoff's scheme.

But, in reality, there is NO Nakamoto scheme. It's just another imaginary construct you made up in your head. Sometimes it's fascinating to watch real life debunk a fiction that you'd invented for the purpose of social manipulation . . . but usually, it's just sad and pathetic.
2486  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Preev.com - DNS hosting service has expired. on: July 08, 2022, 11:10:48 AM
Anyway if you google preev.com the google result show BTC/USD value at preev.com without access the site.

There is no way for Google to display the actual BTC/USD value at preev.com without accessing the site. We may be seeing a cached version of the data, so it might not be accurate.
2487  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Small Investors and Whales Still Believe in Bitcoin, Big Purchases This Month on: July 08, 2022, 11:03:51 AM
Glassnode and other on-chain analysts have been pointing to this metric for many months, claiming it shows "bullish accumulation", yet the price continued dropping. This metric, as some Twitter commentators already pointed out, probably reflects a lack of trust in the exchange's solvency, rather than an actual demand for coins. The existence of whales, a difficult-to-measure group of buyers, certainly raises the price, but their weighting isn't made public.
2488  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hacker claims to have stolen 1 B records of Chinese citizens, demands 10 BTC on: July 08, 2022, 10:36:48 AM
From my viewpoint, it smells fishy that with such an enormous amount of personal data for 1bil Chinese citizens, he only asks for 10 BTC.
Even giving out 750k data for verifying its legitimacy, I doubt anyone can make a cross-reference and verifying it except China govt. So again, 10 BTC for 1bil Chinese citizens data? If it was real then the 10 BTC price tag is just for show.

I think you forgot that he can resell the same data countless times. It is not blackmail, but a simple sale of illegally collected information on the black market. If he only has ten customers, that's already 100 Bitcoin!

The bitcoin.org website has a listing of all (or almost all) official versions of Bitcoin Core (previously Bitcoin-Qt) software, so you can start your search from there:

2491  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum wallet send queue, delete queue item on: July 08, 2022, 08:19:19 AM
You are correct, I setup the transaction and didn't send it. I saved it into the send queue.

If you really saved it, then it should appear in the History list as a "Local" transaction. However, if you just closed the Transaction window after signing, then your transaction is not saved anywhere and you have to create it again.

I tried your recommendation. The only thing in the history is the deposit coming into the wallet. The time stamp is notably different.

Check the total balance on the wallet. Electrum should show the unconfirmed transaction amount in square brackets.
2492  Economy / Gambling / Re: The History Of Gambling. on: July 08, 2022, 08:01:10 AM
I've seen this dice is from Greece and by looking the symbols more carefully it really makes sense they are more similar to greek ones.

True, d20 is covered with Greek symbols and not Egyptian hieroglyphs, but it was found in Egypt and dates from the period when Egypt was under the control of the Greek Ptolemies.
There is no way to know exactly what the d20 was used for. In ancient times, dice were often used for divination rituals, so this dice may not even be part of gambling history at all.
2493  Economy / Gambling / Re: What makes you hide your bets in public? on: July 08, 2022, 07:30:26 AM
Most casinos want to publish all bets publicly for their transparency, and in many cases, also as a marketing strategy to attract new gamblers. Of course, if you want to know if you're dealing with a professional gambler then there is no better way to find out than by seeing their stats online. But sometimes it's not always that simple. Every gambler has the right to discretion and the right to his privacy. I usually like to hide my bets when it comes to big amounts and when it's not a common technique. And in the case where a bet is under $100, it doesn't really matter if anyone sees my name or not.
2494  Other / Meta / Re: Caution for the Forum Users' accounts on: July 07, 2022, 09:42:43 PM
Security is as important as life for a Bitcoiner. I think a person who is careless with the security of his forum account may also be careless with his keys.
Note: Lauda cannot return to the forum, even an imposter cannot use the account. The account was banned and the signed message was invalidated.
Lauda wasn't banned. He left the forum on his accord and said he was never coming back. I think the account was locked at his request, because from what I read he asked the community to tag any account bearing similar username, or if his account ever became active again.

Lauda's account was indeed banned (but at his request) so no one can ever use that account again.

I will request that theymos ban the "Lauda" account (u=101872)

Done. Lauda is banned in the same way as satoshi, such that it isn't possible to even log into the account anymore.
2495  Economy / Reputation / Re: [Investigation] Fighting The Account Mafia on: July 07, 2022, 08:54:43 PM
I already wrote on another topic that it is rather suspicious that a user who knows about various kinds of password generators allows his e-mail to be hacked.
In addition, his language has deteriorated significantly compared to the posts that were written earlier.

Clearly, this is meant to repair his trust score after the account changed hands. As nutildah pointed out, jkoil has a dramatically different language style now.

Does anyone here believe in a quick response from Google support, and getting mail back on rather peculiar questions? And also does anyone remember the dates of creation of their emails?

This is just not credible to me. I don't believe his email was compromised at all and he even contacted Google. Getting a reply from Google within a day is virtually impossible.
2496  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake making new accounts is too easy on: July 07, 2022, 03:27:11 PM
I can make 50 accounts with 50 fake emails. It's too easy.
It's mind boggling that I'm able to deposit 100k worth of crypto using nothing but a fake name and fake email. Lose it. Close account self exclude
Then repeat the process a week after with a new account.
  System identification is non existent

Is there something you think Stake should do in this situation? What do you suggest? Would any measures actually prevent you from opening a new account?

The truth is that if you really want to limit the availability of gambling platforms, you'll need to take a lot of other steps to do it. The best way to protect yourself and avoid the temptations of gambling is to avoid online casinos entirely and there are software solutions that can help you in this regard. In fact, there are numerous programs that will scan your internet connection to see if you're visiting sites that can put you at risk of accessing online gambling sites.

2497  Economy / Gambling / Re: The History Of Gambling. on: July 07, 2022, 03:04:05 PM
It doesn't matter how far back in time we look, we always find remnants or evidence of gambling and games of chance.
From history, we can see the beginnings of "stake games" and "odd lotteries" and an array of other games which, in their time, were much more commonplace than they are now. Many of these games were played by entire communities, with each citizen joining in the game in some form or another. Perhaps they were only used for entertainment, but I believe that most games served a useful function for their time and place.

- Mahdirakib, in regards to the inactive TG channel, could you please link the TG channel you are referring to here on the forum? Thanks.

Don't you know your own Telegram channel? You have posted a link to it in your ANN.
As Mahdirakib pointed out, you haven't posted anything new there for over 9 months now. It's not clear what good, if any, benefit there is for you to keep it open.
2499  Other / Meta / Re: My Hero Member Account Hacked. please help on: July 06, 2022, 02:00:26 PM
Since i use Google email. so i send a report to google yesterday. i am now waiting for the result.

According to my knowledge, Google doesn't provide live support for account recovery, and the only recovery option they provide is described here: https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/7682439?hl=en

I hope you have a successful recovery, but if you are unable to prove ownership after following the recovery instructions then, I'm afraid, your account is lost.

This is not how a bounty manager should handle a proven scam project. I'm sure they'll come back with a new account, but I'm still adding a negative tag and supporting the flag. Nice catch, nliban!
