Hi everybody. My name's nutildah and I'm an ex-Monero troll. I actually like XMR a lot now. I see its value -- it has a legitimate place in the cryptosphere that has yet to be substituted. I come back here today to share this little story with you, which you might find to be humorous. Not sure what ever happened to SaddamBitcoin, but some of you may remember him. Was going through my old posts and found a recap of the story, which goes a little something like this: I don't know what inspired me to find this post... Think I was reading through rpietla's competing WO thread and saw a comment by SaddamBitcoin (don't know what happened to that guy, maybe he struck it rich with XMR and fucked off)... ... Sometime in the 3rd quarter of 2014 I made a bet with SaddamBitcoin that the price of XMR would drop below 0.01 BTC before the end of the year. He was of the utmost firm opinion that it would not. The loser had to send pictures of themselves peeing on their own head. Its time for SaddamBitcoin to live up to his part of the bet and pee on his own head.
XMR dropped below .01 on Dec 17th. I can't find the comments that were part of the bet -- most likely they were deleted by one of your mods.
But he owes me a picture of himself peeing on his own head. Or else I'm going to start my own thread with it.
It's true, I lost the bet fair and square. Regardless, my faith in Monero remains strong so I must uphold my end of the bargain. I will deliver a photo of the deed to Nutildah by midnight Dec 31st 2014. Sure enough, he upheld his end of the bargain. I think. He did PM me somewhere between 2 and 4 pictures -- but -- I was so dumbfounded that he actually sent them that I never actually bothered to look at them. (I'm not really into that sort of thing from a fetish standpoint or a sadist standpoint, if you could even call it that.) Being the dick that I was (am), I posted links to them somewhere. Later I got a PM from somebody who offered me 5 XMR to remove the post with the links. I felt kind of guilty about the whole affair so I just deleted the post without taking the 5 XMR. Apparently they were real pictures of him actually peeing on his head! So that's my story, hope you liked it. I laughed hard when I saw it for the first time in 4 and a half years. If it made you smile, mission accomplished. And I did find the initial bet post, just recently: I'm speculating I will continue to remain correct and Monero will continue to fall like gentle pee on your heads.
Should have invested in a coin that was meant to be used for the long-haul and not just as a high-risk investment vehicle.
How about this? If Monero fails this year (goes below 0.001 BTC), I will pee on my own head and send you a photo. If Monero reaches 0.02 BTC this year, you must pee on your head and show us. Love it. You're on Mr. Hussein! Mark my words, this will be the mother of all bets... To demonstrate that I am a good sport, I left him a retroactive positive trust for upholding his side of the bet in 2014. |

If the bear market has truly bottomed then I believe $1 per coin is a certainty in the next couple of years.
 This is an extremely optimistic hope. DOGE can grow up to 1 dollar if Musk continues to PR them as hard, though I must admit that the effect of his PR is not the same as before, because many people began to consider Musk a speculator and manipulator. Even if the price reaches this level, it will only be as a final pump before a prolonged fall. Because this coin has nothing behind it except speculation and Musk's support, it's a meme coin, no wonder. And something tells me that after DOGE reaches $1, token price will lose 99% of its value again. Its really not a whole lot different of a scenario than BTC reaching $100k, which I believe is also likely in the next couple of years. To say the coin has "nothing behind it" just reveals a high level of ignorance. DOGE possesses a winning combination of fast blocktimes + cheap transactions. Also, DOGE has never "lost 99% of its value," not even the most creative math in the world could make that statement correct. |

I'm trying to raise funds to pursue my dream of landing a Satoshi NFT before I die, so I'm selling a couple of my NFTs. But with mine you get an actual image file. It is my original WO Hat as designed by the fabulous xhomerx10. He tells me the background is a famous dog park. Here's the art which will be owned by the owner of the nutildah-III NFT (they have permission to use it how they want):  Decided to literally follow through on my promise and created the _actual_ nutildah-III NFT using Counterparty, on the Bitcoin blockchain no less. Here is the transaction that minted it, and here's what it looks like on a non-Counterparty enabled block explorer. And there is a "real Satoshi NFT"... well, its called SATOSHICARD and somebody paid 6 BTC (real BTC) for one five months ago.  In the last year, since this contest ended, a "Historical NFT" movement was birthed. It turns out old tokens with images associated with them are a big deal b/c there wasn't many prior to 2016... even fewer where the image info is embedded in the blockchain data. SATOSHICARD was created in June 2015, which predates everything on Ethereum, and also its about Satoshi, so that's why its super valuable among Bitcoin NFTs. Anyway, Bitcoin NFTs unironically blew up after theymos' contest last year. I will transfer nutildah-III to its rightful owner, friends1980, once I get a BTC address from him. |

This is pretty crazy and really sad. I simply do not understand how people can get this badly addicted to slots machines. The lesson here certainly doesn’t just stop with slot machines, this really goes to anyone for any type of gambling addiction. Hopefully he can get his life back together at some point.

You know what's interesting is the guy didn't actually buy DOGE but a Binance pegged version of DOGE, BSC-DOGE. It's almost as good as the real thing, but not quite. For the longest time Binance refused to post Proof of Assets to back Dogecoin, but only did so recently after repeated demands from the Twitter community. They also inadvertently disclosed that not all of their pegged token was backed by real DOGE, but the soon remedied that by burning the excess tokens.  |

I did a bit of blockchain sleuthing and discovered a few sizeable DOGE balances that haven't moved since 2016, before Ryan Kennedy's arrest. Am keeping an eye on them as Kennedy was released from prison last year. The coin is changing hands at around $0.05 (at the time of this writing), but it could fall lower if BTC dives lower in price.
5 cents? Closer to 7 cents at the moment. I'm wondering if DOGE will go back to sub $0.01 prices ever again? If it never does, will that mean DOGE will someday go all the way to $0.50 per coin? I'd like to know your thoughts about this.
I don't think Elon is the type of guy to let his investment go to shit. Dogecoin has been my biggest hold for all of this year as it is the best coin to actually be used as a currency. BTC is too slow and ETH is too expensive; DOGE is just right for transacting. Plus, you can also use it to make NFTs for super cheap. |

Just want to do a quick vouch for the work of DesktopCommando and Emblem Vault. It's a brilliant way to bridge non-ETH assets and I have successfully vaulted and unvaulted things without much trouble at all. It's a great way for those who created tokens on other chains to get exposure to the Ethereum market, and most things from Counterparty and Dogeparty that get sold there fetch a pretty hefty premium.
