2481  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is there a way to see how much gambling sites makes? on: January 25, 2016, 12:52:09 PM
In short, no. Not exactly for sure. Unless site owner provide you data about its earnings there is no definite way of knowing how much said Casino earned.
You  can try to research some data, like number of bets, House Edge from them etc. But from my experience the final number could be different from that maths.
2482  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Sport To Gamble on: January 25, 2016, 12:40:01 PM
I think the easiest is tennis beting. You can see player rank in here http://www.itftennis.com/
usually who palyer have a better ranking will win.
If that was that easy. If than ranking was ultimate tool to define strength of players then we wouldn't have any upsets in Tennis. And that is not true.
Another thing, tennis player are not glued to one position in that chart, there is always someone who is stronger and only started to dominate tennis scene.
2483  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Chinese community consensus to stay with Core 1MB. Meeting held Jan 24 Shenzen, on: January 24, 2016, 03:32:02 PM
Chinese community consensus to stay with Core 1MB. Meeting held Jan 24 Shenzen, many Chinese BTC companies including AntPool/Bitmain, Bither, HaoBTC, BTC123, BTCKan

Source: http://8btc.com/thread-28405-1-1.html

good. maybe Chinese bitcoin community with their mining power can put an end to this block size debate that is hurting bitcoin by dividing people into two groups.
2MB blocksize is the answer for now, it will be good for 2 years top, and then what? Will they agree to increase blocksize progressively or by constant number?
Seeing how Chinese miners not long time ago were against even 2MB upgrade I am not convinced.
2484  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casino slot machines, poker, and Blackjack with bitcoin in YrGrid on: January 24, 2016, 03:23:46 PM
yea I'm a bit confused myself, where is the website? is there a website?
Yeah, after reading Op for the 2nd time I can't tell exactly if this is announcement of online service or real live casino which accept bitcoin and you can deal with payment via online bitcoin transactions.
Either way you should have some site with the information or the actual service in Op.
2485  Economy / Gambling / Re: What type of gambling has been more lucrative for you in the long term? on: January 24, 2016, 03:14:13 PM
To jump to the conclusion,Spots Betting has been lucrative as nothing comparatively.I have won such unimaginable parley's with amazing bets with amounts as low as 0.01.Apart from the usual casinos and dice games,I really love playing arcade games such as this one here LuckyBtcCasiono. But that just for entertainment purposes ,only thing I'm serious about is Sports bets as they are safe and I'm quite good at analyzing the events.
This is probably answer closest to the truth. If you are skilled enough and know how to bet on sports you could potentially win a lot. Either placing your high bets on low odds games or trying parlay.
The second one game is probably Poker - but you have to even more skilled and knowledgeable about the game.
2486  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Sport To Gamble on: January 24, 2016, 03:11:37 PM
I think Tennis and Soccer are the two best sports to gamble.. I have made considerable profits with this.. What do you guys think ?
It is not case of which sport is objectively the best to bet on, because there is no such games. It is rather question which sport are you familiar with and know enough to bet on it.
If you like tennis and find soccer to be boring go for your favorite sport. That's all.
2487  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin: more lives than a cat! on: January 24, 2016, 03:00:56 PM
So I've kinda lost count, how many times has Bitcoin been declared dead now?
It is true, bitcoin is often declared dead and I laughed at previous news of bitcoin's death. But this time is actually quite problematic, Haern made quite a mess with his statement.
Some people actually believed him and we are seeing how bitcoin negation is progressing in mainstream media. I see grim future ahead.

We have to prove him wrong. The community has to reach the consensus of 2MB block size very quickly.
The 'community' (chinese miners) so far reached consensus of not accepting any blocksize changes, at all. And that is the consensus we will see in 2016.
Chinese community doesn't care about bitcoin longevity or its purpose to compete with FIAT, they care about their earnings today and tomorrow.

2489  Economy / Economics / Re: Government & Bitcoin on: January 23, 2016, 04:21:48 PM
Government won't adopt bitcoin they have dollar and they controlling it.
But we people can choose.
And for now we choosing to be idiots blinded by fast profit. Bitcoin has problems and we as bitcoin community can only argue about is while not taking any actions.
It is not government which is threat to bitcoin, it is we - bitcoin enthusiasts, miners and community - we will kill bitcoin.
2490  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Happen If Gambling was not introduced? on: January 23, 2016, 04:07:40 PM
If Gambling was not introduced then many people have to do the hard work for earning money.
If you think gambling is good way of earning money for your living expenses and you can be a full time 'professional' gambler without doing anything else. Please think again.
How many friends do you have who don't have daily job and do gambling for a living?
2491  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it a sin to gamble? on: January 23, 2016, 04:01:14 PM
Its a sin without a doubt. Someone in this thread said you are playing with your own money and not doing something illegal but where are you getting your money if you win? From other persons, so both parties involved in gambling are sinners. I have quit not long time ago, but anyway I used to play just for fun,if I could find right results for the matches but have quit. Religion helps you immensely to quit it, no other alternatives.

Only religion can help you , especially strong ones like Islam in which gambling is explicitly an error (sin)

You can try all others, they will help you only temporarily, only religion will help you to quit once and for all.

This is just my opinion though and personal experience. I tried many things, self control and everything, but I kept getting back to gambling. Once I embraced religion, now I fear God thats why I stay away from gambling.
It is not like you are forced to gamble. You sound like humans are weak creatures without their own will and intellect and can't make decision on their own - unless religion forced them to.
Gambling is not evil, you are not stealing from others - if your way of thinking was correct then - any form of investment where you are not sure of the outcome: stocks, currency trading, other types of speculation is a sin too.
2492  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CNBC: Bitcoin is Alive !!! on: January 22, 2016, 06:08:00 PM
Bitcoin is alive for now, but how long? Haern might be angry and problematic individual but he presented some valid points of interest.
Bitcoin as of now might survive for next couple years and what next? It is true that consensus is a myth and bitcoin is controlled by centralized pools of chinese miners.
They care only about current situation: earning money fast, easy mining - of course they don't want changes of blocksize or core protocol upgrades - and that will lead to bitcoin demise in the future.
2493  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it a sin to gamble? on: January 22, 2016, 05:59:04 PM
as far as im aware it is a sin in many of the religions that i know, i think it would be better to gamble only for entertainment and not for greediness to earn as much money as possible
The problem is - we all live in material world. We can eat the words of wisdom of mouth our religious leaders. Without ambition and healthy 'greed' (also called force of progress by some) human evolution is not possible. Some religion had moral code back from thousands of years aren't we a bit more educated and smarter now? For example alcohol is forbidden in Islam, and how western people feel about that?
2494  Economy / Gambling / Re: FastDice.com LAUNCHED | Fast Rolls | Fast Deposits | Fast Wins |Daily Happy Hour on: January 22, 2016, 05:47:18 PM

I understand than better, fast server are an upgrade. But what it change from users perspective? FastDice will be even faster in a noticeable way?
Or did you have problems with rendering all these bets with growing player base hence the upgrade?
2495  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it profitable to invest in betting sites? on: January 22, 2016, 05:43:11 PM
it should be pretty profitable as you invest your money into a casino that makes money all the time from players losing their money, i guess its a good thing to invest as it might bring you profit
yeah and sometimes owner of the house always wins, so this is really good to make a profit from invest in gambling.
It is not like House always win. I've seen some aspiring new casinos gone bankrupt because couple lucky patrons killed casino's funds. Casino bankruptcy certainly can happen.
But I agree it is generally safe to be owner than player from if you think about risk-reward scenario.
2496  Economy / Gambling / Re: Any good bets 4 today? on: January 22, 2016, 05:25:23 PM
I would like to have some tips on what to bet for today and tomorrow!

Throw me your picks and let's make some dough!

Oh and go to Jetwin cause they are giving out $30 no deposit free to open an account
Well it is not exactly free $30 this promotion has some requirements you must met. First you must bet only on event with 1.5 odds or higher, and you have to do 25 bets before you could withdraw the money.
It is not that easy to have positive balance after 25 bets.
2497  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Same person at WP: Dec 28 "Bitcoin will change the world" - Jan 19 "RIP Bitcoin" on: January 21, 2016, 02:30:37 PM
The problem with bitcoin in media in general is half of the people writing about it have 0 true understanding of it.  They google a few things and form some messed up hypothesis about how they think it works then publish stuff that seems like legit media.  I did find the part about over 50% of the mining power is in china interesting and I'm pretty sure that is 100% True.
Bitcoin news in general media like Washington Post are usually done by total bitcoin newbies. Articles are written in a manner of scraping information together from recent news.
Big picture and state of things is usually disregarded - that is why we had so many Bitcoin Obituaries in the past.
2498  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it a sin to gamble? on: January 21, 2016, 02:24:37 PM
Being illegal is other thing and sin is other. Does your religion allows gambling ? if yes then not a sin
I don't get it why religion has anything to do with morality. You should be living good life for your own sake and not for some imaginary entity or because you are told that is right.
Humans are intelligent enough to think for themselves. If you are not harming yourself and people around you by your gambling habits - then it is fully acceptable hobby.
2499  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting on the Oscars on: January 21, 2016, 02:03:12 PM
DiCaprio has good chance of finally winning an Oscar, already won the Golden Globe, the Oscar is next.
That is almost certain than he would won at last. Not because The Revenant is something extraordinary and mind blowing - it is solid movie, just that.
It is rather that DiCaprio is great actor and he deserves the Oscar already. I will bet on him for sure.
2500  Economy / Gambling / Re: With your gambling, do you binge or prolong the spending of your funds? on: January 21, 2016, 01:48:15 PM
No, binge gambling is not for me. I would die if my hard earned or won money would go down in one bet. I fell better if I can won some small sums of money at a steady pace.
I don't like to risk like that losing large sum at once would be unacceptable to me. Better safe than sorry.
