2481  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hodling Bitcoin on: July 09, 2023, 06:30:56 PM
As you said, hodling bitcoin is a personal decision and not compulsory. So when someone decides to store bitcoin for a long period of time, he can do it but he should use money that is not meant for instant use. Not everyone in the forum is hodling bitcoin in their wallets some of them are spending every week so there is no bitcoin in their wallets to hodle.

While many of them have hodle a good number of bitcoin in their wallets for the time they have spent in forum. And as for me, I am good in hodling bitcoin though I buy bitcoin, and also sell bitcoin once a while and not every time.

2483  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin history on: July 08, 2023, 06:32:39 PM
That is your own part of the history. Another person can still narrate the history of bitcoin from another dimension. If the going up and down are the characteristics of  inflation then bitcoin is also self inflated. Bitcoin price was not busted in 2009. I'm 2009 bitcoin was still at it tender age. Yes bitcoin has spent 14 good years in the internet and people are using it in different ways and yet many people are still Sceptical and don't know what is bitcoin.

The history of bitcoin something that every beginner of bitcoin supposed know before going into the uses. Mostly if you are here, the first thing to do is to know what is bitcoin and it characteristics before other things.
2484  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: [CHARTS] Monthly Overview Of Nigeria Local Board📈 Monthly Merit Reward on: July 08, 2023, 04:55:15 PM

2485  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Misuse of Bitcoin by the Nigerian Government on: July 08, 2023, 04:28:47 PM
Abro Nigerian government never misused bitcoin na why titling it in this way. No have doubt, politicians dey invest in bitcoin now. Someone told me dat Dangote sef dey invest for bitcoin. But di thing be sae as a public figure, dem dey monitor your spending. So wen u keep moni or hide money for bitcoin u go still bring am out in di bull unless di person wan keep am there forever. Do you know dat dem dey hide money for dollar too but government still dey catch dem but since since crypto dey decentralized, e go dey hard for di government to find out.
2486  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: TalkImg.com - Image hosting 4 BitcoinTalk on: July 08, 2023, 03:55:45 PM
Oga me u no go divert ur attention to anoda place because u don do other one (s) and me I never see anything wey u don achieve 4rom dis bogus work dem. Though na good work u dey do because dem dey bring some reputation and more recognition to di board but di stress is much o. And wen I see ur name, I no come see benefits 4rom dose articles. So I come dey wonder y? With dis kind stress. Well I dey wish u all di best.
2487  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: I lost everything to crypto twice before I learned how to win. on: July 08, 2023, 03:32:54 PM
By not being a complete wombat with your risk. Time and time again I see people risking 30%+ of their capital on a single sh*tcoin  This is a bad move.
Almost every crypto you invest in could dump to zero quickly. The odds are less likely the bigger the project gets, but it’s not impossible, look at $LUNA.
The smaller a project, the higher the chances it can rug or crash to zero.
Sadly, you lost everything to crypto investing twice simply because you focused your investment on shitcoins/altcoins which have low or no utility & very high volatility, and likewise simply because you never understood how this works by investing with an amount you can always afford to lose, and always knowing when to take profit and leave because one thing I have noticed about most of these shitcoins is that what the developers do is pump the price so high in the first week of its launch to attract people, and after maybe many people have invested in that coin, they just damp the price low or even to zero as the case may be.
Even he invested on shitcoins or oda altcoins, im for no loss all. Nai impatient caused im loss. Has im see sae things are not working to di way im want am, im for moved dem out and invested dem in bitcoin. As @Truthlovecoins tok am, di whole thread sef e dey won kind but I tried understand am. 4 di way I take understand am, bi like sae im loss from two platforms o. One for investment and di Oda for gambling. 4 investment, though I know know for altcoins/shitcoins bout bitcoin before you invest, u go understand di market, starting from di bear to the bull so that u no go loss like day but if miscalculate and invest anyhow my brother u go loss well but for even as dat if u understand di market u go still regain ur loss and that is how investment work.

For di gambling side of the tori. I will blame u for losing all. When u invest 0.1% - 3 in the capital project, and you loss it, that should not pain u because that amount is very small to start a reasonable project that carry good portfolio, you would have invested about 40% so that when u loss 5%, u can still use di remaining percentage to upgrade the project.
2488  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: [free to join] My second contest : win a wonderful Bitbox from Shiftcrypto !!! on: July 07, 2023, 08:18:39 PM
I have completed my survey just few minutes ago, and the surgery fun as well. I like the survey questions, they like normal examination questions in school. And anyone who had the general knowledge on cryptocurrency would not fall it. And I take @Charles-Tim as my survey contest partner. I will pm him to know if he is interested or he chosen another person the contest. I also downloaded the Bitbox2 App
2489  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Would any venerable Nigerian forum members like to take part in my contest ? on: July 07, 2023, 07:12:24 PM

2490  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Board explanation for newbies on: July 07, 2023, 06:55:34 PM
I noticed most newbies make post in wrong section and of course members always correct them  I  don't know if any post like this have been made before but i want to suggest  that a more established member than I who knows these boards better should please create a thread in the beginner section on what kind of posts should be on each boards to assist these newbies
Thanks
This can also be helpful to the question Newbies - Read before posting, I have said it before, your knowledge on the board means a lot. As a newbie you have to read the above thread link so that you will know what and where to start from. At first you will not have too much knowledge on all the boards if really you are a newbie and as you progress, you will know more things in the forum. So feel free to participate base on your knowledge.
2491  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigerian crypto tax move is ‘premature’ — Local stakeholders on: July 07, 2023, 06:21:05 PM
I am even tired of the whole issue in the country. So I focus on my investment and p2p services and live on. Anytime they are ready adopt bitcoin and if the regulations are favourable then I follow suit. It is still premature because they are looking for way to tighten the regulation so they can control the system very but they are forgetting that they coming a system that is decentralized so the total control of the system is not possible. Nigerian leaders have never made anything good thing in the country matured but always premature. If Dis government e no acknowledge cryptocurrency for two years then it is gone be dat till di next president nai we fit see am because by then cryptocurrency e done gain ground well well in the world currency market. Now Nigeria government s dey doubt am because many countries never accept am.
2492  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: P2P will safe your life on: July 07, 2023, 06:08:49 PM
Is there anything to create p2p again because p2p is already existing in the blockchain what you have to do is just a trust. And this trust must be given to someone within your area region and more likely your community because if you just merely trust someone in another country and send the coins to the person without receiving your money and the person run away with the coin then your coins will be gone.
That is why exchange p2p is also good because you have to receive the money before you release the coins. And every country has their p2p methods to do except the international exchange platforms which perform general per to per. So creating separate p2p for transactions might not necessary again because there are already existing ones.
2493  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: General Crypto on: July 06, 2023, 08:02:27 PM
Use decentralized exchanges like Bisq. All centralized exchanges can be hacked, do not believe in them. There are some other decentralized exchanges that you can use too but I prefer Bisq.

https://bisq.network/

Decentralized exchange too can be hacked, they are good for privacy. Read other posts, like the one posted by cryptoaddictchie

Are you sure your answer answered the op question, because he is asking of crypto and not exchange. And if he is asking for crypto I will recommend bitcoin and Ethereum. And if he is asking of exchange I will also recommend an exchange that can be use both in desktop and Mobil Phone.

Bisq that you recommended is not working in Mobile phone, that is there is no Android Version of it and desktop can't be move around to all the destination you travel to. Bisq would have been the best exchange so far but since there is no Android Version, it becomes insolated.
2494  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: President Tinubu Signs Student Loan Bill Into . on: July 06, 2023, 07:31:28 PM
Dat loan I dey fear because big men dem go give their children finished. And di won wey go remain for di poor wen the program is about to finish. Na so dem do am for my state wey dem give all di scholarships to rich men pikin dem. And another thing wey dem dey give di loan to rich men children be sae, dem dey pay back di loan but di poor children e no dey pay back di loan so dem prefer giving to di rich Dan di poor. So me I believe sae di loan na for di rich and not for di poor.

At first everyone was clapping hands for di newly elected president but for what I am seeing right now. Dis president e no go pass Buhari. Watch and see.
2495  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Dangote Advices Nigerian Entrepreneurs. on: July 06, 2023, 07:08:48 PM
It's one thing to wish to be as rich as Dangote and am sure anyone here would agree to a mentorship program by this man.
That is yourself and not all, people like me will never and ever attend such program, if Dangote is my mentor then I have ruin my life be dat.

I consider him one of Africa's greatest entrepreneurs mostly with the completion of Africa's biggest refinery, in Lagos. It is an enormous achievement by a true visionary.
Lol!!!  Many people know the wealth of Dangote and you are not nawaoo. Yes he is di rich but if everyone withdraw their money from him, im no go take 20 sef.

So, he was advising young entrepreneurs to be careful in spending their money, mostly as the business is still growing, that living flamboyant lifestyle should be reduced to the barest minimum. Instead the money should be saved or reinvested if the success of the business is the ultimate goal.
He said he doesn't have a house abroad and it is not a do die affair to own one.

Nigerians has expressed their opinions on the advice he gave, and am asking it here to know what we feel he should have added to the advice of reinvesting, besides saving or not buying real estate abroad?

This is the discussion over the radio on Max FM this morning.

Dangote dey exploit you in dis country badly and you are here support im nawaoo. Abi you no no before? Dangote advise na for sef interest and nothing more. Dangote na bi di richest man in Africa, meaning nobody reach for Nigeria yet im dey kill us with high price. Na dat kind person u dey support come ma domont. My mentor don tell me sae, Dangote nai dey suffer us for dis country bcos im get permission to enter any government house and discuss with dem di way im want.
2496  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Accepting Bitcoin on: July 06, 2023, 06:43:56 PM
Since I joined this forum I have always wanted to invest in Bitcoin however Bitcoin investments in my country is not easy because of our currency value and the government is not in much support am currently working on convincing my mom to accepting Bitcoin in her tailoring shop i Also intend on hodling those Bitcoins

I would appreciate any advice on this my move

What do you mean when you say its not easy to buy bitcoin because of currency value ?
It doesn't matter what is the currency value unless you are from Venezuela.
If there are people interested to buy/sell bitcoins then you can surely buy some BTC for yourself.
Op is lieing. This is just a fabricated story. Bitcoin investment is the easiest thing to do. And the only thing that can make it difficult to invest is network. When you want to invest and there is no network in the location you are, then it will be hard for you to invest.  But if there is network then you can buy from exchange and sell it from the exchange so what is there that is making it difficult. When you talk about the value of the National currency then you are not ready to buy bitcoin. This is where I said your story is fabricated because the more your country currency is devalue the more bitcoin price is high the country so you use the amount you have to buy the unit of bitcoin you want.
2497  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: My Simple Solution For Speedy P2P Trading on: July 06, 2023, 06:06:18 PM
This is not a solution to the risk on p2p and what you dey tok e dey every exchange and no be new thing be that. You can do it in Busa, Ramitano and Binance. Almost all the online banking apps have the upgrade,,and that upgrade is to allow you receive big amount of money and nothing more. So I didn't not see any special solution from OP.

Even from what op has said, scammers can still scam people through fake alerts, so all what we have to do is vigilant and careful when we dey buy and sell coins. Me I don experience am b4 so nobody go tell me again, and na so dem tok am sae experience nai be do best teacher wey e dey dis world.
2498  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Invest small money and get big money avoid them. on: July 05, 2023, 07:43:29 PM
~

That is how it is. Unemployment is the cause of all these Ponzi scheme victims. Look at the one I received just from scammers this evening.
Quote
Hi dear, we are looking for workers. You can work from home and earn 50,000 Naira per day.
now if I am not well inform from this forum, I would have also been a victim. The only solution to this social vices is employment and not even empowerment. I see youth empowerment as a deception to the youths in the country. Government has provided a lot youth empowerment in every year yet the poverty rate is growing higher that means, there is something wrong. So we have to stop youth empowerment to youth employment. Government is only spend money in the areas that they can embezzle money and youth empowerment is one of the place embezzlement takes place.
2499  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Signature and Forum Campaign Question on: July 05, 2023, 05:51:12 PM
why are there boards where the signatures cannot be displayed or aren't visible on the forum?

Because those places are only meant for serious discussion, and I believe the reason is to prevent people who are just making post in other to complete post quarter. Only those who know what's being discussed will want to make post their.

I don't think this your answer can go well with the Op question. If a board is for serious discussion then managers will be very glad to see their Participants to partake in those participations and display the signature and avatar there. I don't think it is to prevent users to complete their weekly quota  but what @_act_ said is much better.

What's best for their campaign that's what they do. Every signature campaign every project have their targeted audience and as such the manager needs post to be made in those areas in other for the project to achieve their objectives.
If we talk of target audience in the forum, forum is for everyone and everyone is in the forum so everyone is under the targeted audience. Students, teenagers, Youths and adults are not separated in the forum but forum treat everyone equal, so I don't also think manager have targeted audience in the forum. Because newbies, Jr. Members, Members, Full Members, See. Members, Hero Members and Legendary Members are all invited to visit the project which is managed by the manager so all are equal in that aspect.
2500  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin maximum price on: July 05, 2023, 05:28:33 PM
I choose the probability of $40k because so far so good we have spent 6 months and the highest price we have seen the year $31k and let say the remaining 6 months might add the remaining 9% to make up the $40k. But there is another prediction that, the market might not pass the present price, because market has not shown the signal that it will go up in anytime soon. If the price would have gone up, the price would have climbed to $32+k by now but it is still coming down again.
