He was phishing. I think there's an issue when known phishers / hackers can freely post under their name without repercussion.

Sure, he can just come back under a new IP, but that applies to everyone who's banned - so why ever ban people then?
2482  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Are you good with photoshop? - COMPETITION (of sorts) on: July 12, 2013, 06:12:09 AM
scotaloo, why don't you repay devinthedev?
2483  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ransoms and mixers on: July 12, 2013, 06:04:04 AM
It IS hard fork because you cannot choose to accept transactions or not in the current protocol.

You are going to end up with 2 versions of the blockchain: those who assumes all coins to an address are valid (current clients), and those who only assume coins to an address that has accepted it is valid. This is the very definition of a hard fork.
2484  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Are you good with photoshop? - COMPETITION (of sorts) on: July 12, 2013, 06:02:35 AM
I don't think you're r3wt. You're the person who has been spreading bit coin talk - org.
2485  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Walletbit closing with my money on: July 12, 2013, 05:54:21 AM
Don't worry, I'm sure suckers will still use BIPS.
2486  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ransoms and mixers on: July 12, 2013, 05:46:57 AM
Quote
, the end users could refuse to accept them as payment.

That's a hard fork.

It is important for people to know that you, as an end user, has VERY limited influence in what can happen. You want the block size to be 2 MB? You can't, you will end up in a hard fork.
2487  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Does transferring BTC into a wallet require downloading the entire block chain? on: July 12, 2013, 05:44:12 AM
You don't need in order to deposit, but it won't show up until you downloaded it. The blockchain is around 9 GB right now.

Use Inputs.io!
2488  Economy / Services / Re: Get up to 0.30 BTC a month for your signature! on: July 12, 2013, 05:40:54 AM
The sad thing is I could probably have patented this because of the broken patent system Tongue
2489  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Are you good with photoshop? - COMPETITION (of sorts) on: July 12, 2013, 05:39:53 AM
I'd prove it but obviously you're not going to repay everything you scammed.
2490  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: HashStorm Kickstarter on: July 12, 2013, 05:32:43 AM
Your customers are, and it's obvious that they won't make any money.
2491  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] coinwidget.com donation widget - now open source (w/litecoin support) on: July 12, 2013, 05:32:12 AM
Inputs.io buttons lets you pay without leaving the page with just a click Smiley
2492  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: July 12, 2013, 05:29:51 AM
Or passthroughs.
2493  Economy / Securities / Re: SANDSTORM: - A Collective Investment Vehicle for BTC. - on: July 12, 2013, 05:18:30 AM
It's OK, the people who are dumb enough to invest into this "investment vehicle" is dumb enough to to pay 20x IPO.

Hopefully this will dissuade people from investing without doing due diligence.
2494  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: HashStorm Kickstarter on: July 12, 2013, 05:14:16 AM
We have factored that in and don't believe the difficulty rise will be as drastic as you believe, but again we appreciate all feedback and we will work our numbers again to see how likely a mining difficulty that high would be.
Have you been watching the difficulty? It IS increasing by ~20%.

If you disagree, then I'm happy to have a wager on this matter 1:1 (up to 3000 BTC). You'll make a lot more than hashstorm if you're right. Of course you won't actually take up this offer because your offerings will cause your customers to lose money.

2496  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ransoms and mixers on: July 12, 2013, 05:06:14 AM
Please go read more about Bitcoin and learn why this idea will never be implemented.

For one, users do not decide on anything. A 51% miner CAN refuse to relay any TXes coming from a certain address, this is known as a 51% attack and will make Bitcoin worth sub $0.01.
2497  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Change Bitcoin SHA-256 to SCRYPT on: July 12, 2013, 05:05:07 AM
A security researcher has predicted SHA 256 will be cracked this year.  When that happens the algorithm may change.
Can I bet on that?
2498  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Glados Faucet (No Fees)(24 Hour Faucet) on: July 12, 2013, 04:56:49 AM
Just so people know, I do not run this faucet, xDeathwing does.
2499  Economy / Securities / [ANN] Just-dice insurance from BTCINVEST on: July 12, 2013, 04:38:00 AM
BTCINVEST is interested in insuring Just-Dice amounts for 3 and 6 months periods. You purchase insurance for a certain amount, and if JD defaults you will receive the insured amount in Bitcoins from BTCINVEST.

Send me a PM if you are interested in negotiating on rates.
2500  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: High risk to Coinbase- wtf on: July 12, 2013, 04:27:12 AM
It is obvious that they make the bulk of their money from playing the markets. Stop using Coinbase and stop supporting businesses with shady models.
