2481  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Kraken.com steal nearly $10,000 from me on: May 21, 2016, 06:01:49 AM
Actually, that response dargo is far from ok. There is so much evidence to make believe something is not right

NONE OF YOUR CONTACT TELEPHONE NUMBERS WORK
NO ACTUAL SEPA REFERENCE VALID
NOBODY HAS STILL REPLIED TO MY PERSONAL EMAIL? I AM HAVING TO GO THROUGH FORUMS FOR ANSWERS LIKE A 10 YEAR OLD
YOU HAVE FALSELY CLAIMED THAT PAYMENTS SHOULD NOT TAKE LONGER THAN 5 DAYS

I want AN EMAIL SENT TO MY ACCOUNT ON KRAKEN WITH FULL DETAILS OF WHEN PAYMENT WILL ARRIVE WITH AN ACTUAL SEPA REFERENCE BANKS WILL UNDERSTAND. IF THIS TAKES LONGER THAN A COUPLE OF DAYS I WILL HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO CALL THE POLICE AND LEAVE THIS TO COURTS.

You shouldn't worry dude, your money is coming from PayCash. They've been seen in the Wall Street Journal AND the New York Times, it says so right on their trendy, edgy, cool website. They're an old well established financial giant founded way back in 2012. They are also regulated by the government of Luxembourg (the only country in the world that can get their ass kicked by Trinidad and Tobago). ROFL
2482  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could the bitcoin crisis be one of master plans of Satoshi? on: May 21, 2016, 05:40:56 AM
bitcoin needs to go mainstream

No, it doesn't.

Have you been on holiday, Holliday? Haven't bumped into you in a while. I hear the corned beef hash is on sale today. lol

All the rug rats here think Bitcoin should be used by everyone in the world so they can sell their .0005 bitcoins for a million dollars. Hurrah for mainstream! ROFL

I'm secure enough in my sexuality to admit that when I see those paintings of the pretty white Jesus, with the long golden hair and pouty smooth lips, I get a little hard.
2484  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Kraken.com steal nearly $10,000 from me on: May 20, 2016, 07:08:32 PM
Here's a little more info for you. That phone number resolves to a private residence in a small San Mateo county town called Menlo Park. Menlo Park is a pretty little community. Not many businesses but it has a large residential area with big trees and shitloads of old people. I wouldn't mind living there if it wasn't so far from the action.
2485  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Kraken.com steal nearly $10,000 from me on: May 20, 2016, 06:45:27 PM
Oh, I see your mistake. You sent a bunch of money to an online business with a pretty website with lots of pictures of trendy, cool looking people.

They're based in San Francisco where I live. Based on the cool looking 30 somethings I personally know here, I'd say they run their business on a laptop hooked to free coffee shop wifi from a park bench located somewhere in the panhandle section of Golden Gate Park.

I could be wrong though. They might be running their business around the corner hooked to the free wifi at St Mary's hospital. ROFL

Edit: Have you tried looking for them at the San Francisco public library where Ross Ulbrich ran his multimillion dollar drug consignment store. LOL
2486  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you trust stuff like Hashocean? on: May 18, 2016, 10:54:20 PM
Why don't you just send me all your bitcoins and let me kick you in the nuts. You'll be broke either way but you'll remember me longer than Hashocean.
2487  Economy / Economics / Re: Is gold better than Bitcoin? on: May 18, 2016, 10:50:21 PM
Gold is more shiny than Bitcoin and weighs more.
2488  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BFL fucked us over again (redux) on: May 18, 2016, 10:46:50 PM
Our government is just really, really slow to do anything. Example: I was audited by the Irs. They notified me that I was being audited. I had 8 months to submit paperwork in my defense (I took all 8 months to do it). They spent almost a year reviewing my submissions. They fined me a couple grand and I contested it. That took six months. I lost again and they billed me giving me 12 months to pay.  I never did pay anything because I submitted "an offer in compromise" which took another year for them to review and it was accepted. It was finally over about 5 years after it started, they made no money but did spend money on the wasted man hours. The US government is so absurdly fucked.

So long as they caused a similar amount of time and trouble to you they are probably satisfied with that result.  Alot of the government is to just redistribute wealth, the obvious argument that government is not doing anything useful alot of the time is probably a no contest for them.  IRS audit is a big scaremongering deal to effect an influence on people who might otherwise think of paying less tax or even question why they are paying 50% of income in some cases

Very true, and it works most of the time.

There are real improvements that can be made to Bitcoin with a hardfork.
If the community could come to agreement on it, it would help Bitcoin compete in the near term at least.
Are you talking about things from the HF wishlist (Wiki)? What would you prefer to be included in a HF?

I think what Luke Jr wants to be included is a small Christian prayer written into every block and every seven days all the worlds mining resources diverted to attack an altcoin.

Great Sidechain proposal to implement with Rootstock and merge mining.

You could do it that way but I think he'll just put it in without telling anyone.

Why all the Chinese hate? Someone beat you up with chopsticks when you were a little boy?

Nope but I had some Chinese-made goods go bad or not functioning right out of the box upon arrival  Grin
Jokes aside people should not hate on the Chinese because they are also human beings like us, the general concern is that they can control the Blockchain network at will and as we all know the Chinese condone unscrupulous business ethics.

Holy shit, do you really believe that!

Mark Karpeles (MtGox, largest exchange fraud in Bitcoin history) = French

Trendon Shavers (Pirate@40 scam, largest scam in Bitcoin history) = Texas redneck

Nasser Ghoseiri, Josh Zerlan, Sonny Vleisides, Jody Drake, Dave McClain (Butterfly Labs, largest mining hardware scam in Bitcoin history) = God Fearin Merricans

It's clear that the biggest collection of scumbag business people in Bitcoin have come from the west not the east. I'd sure as hell trust a Chinese business before an American one.

There is God Everywhere

How about under my balls? You think he's hanging around my gooch?

I checked, he's not under there

So he's not everywhere then.

This philosophical answers. I think we can all agree that we all have prayed on some situations, to god or not.

Only over a toilet when I'm really drunk.

Interesting take from someone who obviously has more experience. I think it's natural, I mean, the enthusiasm must start to fade year after year, but I feel that maybe you had too much misplaced hope in the first place. I recognize Bitcoin as a unique technology and completely innovative idea just like the internet was in the 90s, but we are still far away from the potential. Plus, you can't deny that as a investment if you bought a a good price in 2012 or so it has been appreciating yearly and it all points that it will keep doing so. I still understand where are you coming from, there's a lot of issues still unresolved and Bitcoin still seems "stuck", let's see what 2016 and 2017 brings.

You sir, are a c&p bot. Case in point, post #2 of this thread:

Good catch. You did report it, right?

Bitcoin isn't a cult requiring faith or a belief in it that should or could fade over time. Bitcoin is a financial tool that either works well enough to draw users or it isn't. If a computer brand or a smart phone design stops performing people will move on to something else. There are a bunch of smart phones on the market because there isn't one that does everything for everyone. Same with crypto currencies.
2499  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People hate Bitcoins? on: May 15, 2016, 09:56:22 PM
People don't hate Bitcoin. They don't understand Bitcoin. The only thing the great beast (Citizens) understand is the misinformation they are fed by modern media. Even on this forum, Bitcoin means something different to different people.

To the young kids here, Bitcoin is a way to make some easy beer money with sig campaigns.

To the businessmen and entrepreneurs, it's a way to have the wealth they dreamed about in college by latching on to a new technology on the ground floor.

To the libtards and anarchists, it's a way to take control away from government so they can do anything they want without reprisals.

To me it's a fountain of entertainment.
