Religion has another dimension and can't be compared with science.

The New International Version is trying to say it the way we would say it.

The New King James Version is trying to say it with a literal eye on the ancient Greek where it was taken from, and yet bring it into some semblance of sense.

The ancient Greek is somewhat "twisted" with regard to how we say things in English. Spanish is the same. You can't simply take Spanish and translate the words directly as they are found in a sentence, and expect it to make clear English sense. You might be able to get the gist of what is being said. But a direct translation of Spanish into English will sound a bit backward and inside out.

Well, it was translators, attempting to do the best job of translating that they could. They did a very good job with the ancient manuscripts that they had. The English speaking peoples of Britain at that time understood it quite well, as did the Israelites who read the originals in ancient Hebrew.
