The whole world talks about unraveling its mystery? Huh

There isn't a mystery at all because the gigantic ship drowned in water due to its faulty construction and the heavy weight. No body has done anything with that gigantic ship, and whatever happened with the travelers was their destiny. If scientists somehow gain access to the ship once again then they will know that the iceberg wasn't the real cause of its drowning, but the faulty construction and its huge weight.

The Olympic sailed for decades built with the same spec and was constructed mostly at the same time as Titanic.
It most likely would have taken ice warnings far more serious after April 1912 than before.

Were the rivets bad quality? Perhaps and this certainly wouldn't have helped during the iceberg collision.
But nothing that is on the seabed could reveal much more than what is known now.
Sonar has already "possibly" revealed the damage to the 6 water tight compartments. But this is inconclusive and could be damage due to the ship hitting the seabed as damage was found on the port side as well.

Regardless, large fragments of the hull have already been raised and analysed.

Regarding the OceanGate suicide mission; Stockton Rush was a bigger idiot than The White Star Line and Captain Smith.
The Titanic would never have sailed if the cross Atlantic line had a similar success rate as Stockton Rush's Titanic expeditions of just 15%!

If the OceanGate transcripts that have been going around are real then I'm sure Rush was panicking for the last minutes of his life as the reality of his stupidity came to fruition (offloading ballast didn't make them rise quick enough and the cracking sounds must have been terrifying).
The stupid part is that most likely the whole thing could have been avoided during a large part of the descend as they were dropping far too fast, but no one cared to even check such a simple fact for an hour.

I know that the Olympic sailed for many years even after the tragedy of Titanic, but it was successful in doing that only because the constructor The Belfast firm of Harland and Wolff, has modified it to very high extent after the Titanic was drowned in water. When that ship sank the constructor got the idea to improve their other ship so that they might not be blamed for the tragedy because if Olympic also had same fate then the whole blame would be on the shoulders of the constructing firm.

The OceanGate and its CEO was also sure that the material they have used in their submersible were not of the best quality and they did that to show the world that things can be done successfully with cheaper material than the standard expensive ones. The Stockton Rush did a deadly mission and that's why he along with some others who were in the submersible during the mission couldn't save their lives.

The communication with the mothership was also of very poor quality, but Stockton Rush had to complete this mission successfully and that's why he took the risk along with those other travelers. A lesson we can learn from those both tragedies is that never ever go for a thing which hasn't gone through proper trials, and if someone still goes for it then that person knows his fate even before it takes place in real life.

2483  Economy / Reputation / Re: Why don't we ban users like FmaTR on this forum? on: July 12, 2023, 06:45:58 PM
Are you commenting without reading my explanations? I already stated that users come from GOOGLE. If you've looked at the screenshots, you've seen it. I ask the customer where did you find me. I want feedback to this platform from those who say btctalk. Of course, I don't want feedback here if it comes from the other platform. I think the topic is too long, I can't waste any more of my time. Think twice before slandering someone. Do not talk on assumptions about a subject you do not know or are not sure about.

I don't know enough about your services, but it's not a good practice to recommend your previous users from another website to visit this forum and create their accounts only to leave you a positive feedback. The worst thing is that most of those users are pretty new and they left the forum and their accounts after leaving you a positive feedback.

I don't think that such practice is an acceptable thing in this forum and yes, there are chances that those users can be your alt accounts or at least few people might consider those as your alt accounts. If you really wanted to gain more depend at your thread then you should have given vouch copies to reputed members of the forum because their vouch would be far more worthy than those newbie accounts.

What is unique about foxpup avatar and cycling?[/list]

You should understand that avatar deal is a different deal than the signature one. The Foxpup has selected @OP in the avatar campaign only and the club doesn't have a signature campaign yet. I hope your got the point, and it's now clear to you that the avatar and personal text deals are different than the signature deals.
2487  Other / Meta / Re: Forum is having issues and many users aren't able to visit it on: July 12, 2023, 12:01:24 PM
I see cloudfare verification sometimes but not all the time when I logging to my account.
I am using Chrome browser and I am thankful that I haven't faced any double posting issue yet.

Hopefully forum adminstrator find some better solution to this as sometimes it take lots of time in verification and delay in posting time.

I think they have already solved the issue because I'm not facing any issues right now and that's why I don't think that the issue is still there. The issue was truly alarming and caused much problems for the users who wanted to access the forum, and I was among those few members who weren't even able to browse the forum because they verification wasn't appearing.

I'm a regular user of the forum and when I was unable to visit the forum for more than 4 hours then things were very stressful for me. I hope that in future such issues wont cause any lags or delays for the users of the forum because those people who are truly devoted to this forum wont be able to spend a day without visiting the forum.
2488  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lotteries and possibility vs. probability on: July 12, 2023, 11:41:19 AM
It's just buying 1 ticket but sometimes like I said, even when we've been in a little longer period of time basically 1 ticket is not really enough because we might even want more.
I would probably prioritise slots in this case more than lotteries even though slots also have a lot of conditions that seem the same but at least there are things that can be seen with pretty good visuals rather than having to deal with lotteries.
But indeed everyone's pleasure is different and the possibilities that we think are worthy do not necessarily think other people are worthy too.
Buying 1 lottery ticket will not give you more chances to be the winner unless you are really lucky, which rarely happens to people. And maybe people who don't really expect to be a winner in the lottery will choose other gambling games, such as slot games. Slot games are also luck-based gambling games; if we want to win, we must have good luck. But not many people can win slot games and earn much money.

That's true 1 lottery ticket is sufficient enough to make someone a winner of the lottery because in these games the more someone buys the higher are the chances of that person to win the lottery. Only those people who are extremely lucky can win with a single lottery ticket, and I believe that those people are exceptional few in the world.

The other lucky people also need to buy more tickets in order to have a winning lottery. The lottery games are 100% luck oriented and anyone who is lucky enough will win in those games with far more success than the less lucky people. Lottery games are also luck based games and anyone who is lucky will win in these games and those who aren't lucky will never win even if they buy 100's of tickets.
2489  Economy / Digital goods / Crypto Market making bot to get high profit on: July 12, 2023, 01:50:50 AM
These bots need high liquidity in order to have an impact on the market making bot, or at least there are a large number of users sufficient to move the price of a currency. In any case, what they offer is help to scam beginners by coordinating a sacrificial attack and dumping, so it is closer to scam, and I do not know if there is a way legally this can be done.

You are somewhat right in that sense because those bots can manipulate the market value of the crypto-currencies that have very low marketcap. In fact, in reality every exchange is using those kind of bots to pump and dump some useless shit-coins that don't have any good use case other then getting pumped and dumped to loot the money out of the pockets of the greedy fellows.

The bots can't be trusted because they can also make the users to lose the money if an exchange decides to dump or pump the price out of the bot's expectations. The bots are programmed by a programmer and they work in the same fashion by watching the different parameters of the markets and they coins they will be pumping, and in that case there might be anti-bots from the exchanges that could cause huge dumps in value of the crypto-currency that the bot is trying to pump.

In such case, the bot will end up losing capital value of the users and anyone who puts money into that bots ecosystem will be at a loss without any question. That's why I always recommend users to learn trading themselves rather than relying on a piece of software that could go wrong anytime without any warning.
2490  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: NFT Idea: Prove Funds to Mint on: July 12, 2023, 01:40:57 AM
    Why would someone buy this?
People who see your NFT will know that you're hodling a lot of Bitcoins.
Why would I want to put a digital target on my back saying I own or have owned at least 1000 bitcoin recently? Would you want to walk down a street holding a sign saying you are rich or have a lot of gold in your house?

Many bitcoiners want to remain anonymous and not draw unnecessary attention to themselves. They also wouldn't care about hyped digital waste known as NFTs that could maybe have one or two useful application with the rest being garbage. I am sorry, but I don't think many would be interested in this.

Why do people buy designer clothes? Why do they wear million-dollar watches?
That also puts a literal target on your back, you just have to make sure your security is on point.

Yes many bitcoiners love being anonymous. But also we are people, we like to announce to the world what we are proud of. We like to announce to the world that we believe in Bitcoin, and also the fact that we have made it big at the same time.

It's a different culture with Bitcoiners compared to your community of people who wear designer clothes. Bitcoiners are more interested in tools that make people more ungovernable, although I believe none would admit it to avoid Big Brother's eyes probing over them. Haha.

Plus your idea is probably good for younger Bitcoin HODLers who want to flex their wealth, but such a project could also be a government honeypot. It's not good for OPSEC.

its a different culture, yes. but we're still human.

There used to be a user here called "Loaded". His whole thing was going around, flexing that he had 80k BTC.
There have also been a couple users flexing that they had 100+ btc throughout the years.

Also, may I remind you. Cryptopunks and BAYC holders are signifying the same thing (Rich Believers in Crypto).

Also, I don't see how this could be a honeypot. Criminals always try to stay under the radar (at least the smart ones).
This would only be useful to people with legitimate funds.

You're trying to be over smart with your words by dude you should keep in mind that everyone else also has their own minds and they wont follow someone's words blindly. I don't think that anyone on this forum is immature to share his/her Bitcoin holdings with someone whom they can't trust, and in fact we can't trust anyone else then our own selves because if we trust others with our privacy and holdings then we will definitely lose the trust when they break it into pieces.

Another thing I would like you to note that no one is interested in NFT's here because we are not naive enough to fall into trap of those digital art images which aren't unique at all. The NFT buzz was created to loot the money out of mediocre users of the crypto-world, and unfortunately I discourage you by saying that you wont mind those mediocre users on this forum.  You would better find those users somewhere else where people had Fodder in their heads instead of brains.

No one sane enough would expose his/her Bitcoin holding to public because of privacy and because of their own safety and the safety of their loved ones. In fact why would anyone claim in public that he/she is holding 1000+ Bitcoin in his/her wallet or wallets? I don't think you will get your goals accomplished here, and I must say that your idea is the dumbest one that I have came across in my whole life.
2491  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is bitcoin pumping when the economy is heading into a recession? on: July 12, 2023, 01:10:11 AM
Forgive my ignorance, I am very new to this space. I saw talks about CBDCs and that drew my attention back to cryptocurrencies. I thought the last bull run would be the last we would have seen of bitcoin ever reaching those heights so I stopped looking at the crypto space ever since. But now we have discussions about dethroning the dollar and CBDCs, I am changing my mind about that, but I still find it fascinating that bitcoin is pumping in this economy right now. I am no means an expert in economics as you can clearly tell, would appreciate if anyone who had the knowledge could shed some light here. Always keen to learn. Thanks

There isn't going to be any recession in the world because inflation rates are getting better in many countries and that's why those people who are talking about inflation are mostly promoting it to create fear in the minds of the people. The CBDCs wont impact the price of Bitcoin as they will be a separate class of crypto-currencies and there impact will be minimum to none on Bitcoin or on crypto-market.

The Bitcoin isn't pumping because a pump would rise its price above all time high with any issue, but if we look carefully into the Bitcoin then we can be sure that it's slowly recovering from the dump it has faced due to some low class crypto-currencies and exchanges that were having poor class concepts and fraudulent activity. The Bitcoin's price has been slowly recovering from its low levels and it will be better in future.

I'm quite sure that in 2024's halving event would make Bitcoin cross the mark of $70k price range without any doubt and then the things will be once again good in the crypto space. The market will see a huge bull run this time and I'm very sure that investors will be highly attracted to crypto market this time. I'm also expecting that Bitcoin may reach price levels of $120k to $150k during 2024-2025, and if that happens then you'll see the boom in crypto market.
2492  Other / Meta / Re: Why was this comment deleted? on: July 11, 2023, 05:05:20 PM
It's a very old thread, you replied to. The Post/question was made in February and in July you are still replying to it?

Probably you and the person you replied to got your comments deleted for beating a dead horse (Bumping and old thread that has had the question answered/discussion made by other members) and you are just repeating the same answers.

Next time you see an old thread like that, just read through and let it go.

I agree with you because I also replied to a very old thread where a user bumped it for no reason, and my reply was to just warn the user to not bump very old threads. After a day I received a message that your post has been deleted, and after that I never replied to post even for warning others. It's always recommended to reply those posts which are active and there have been replies in those posts in last 30 days because those posts are useful and can be helpful for other forum members.

I don't think that it's necessary to bump very old threads unless you're the original poster of the thread. To @OP, I think your post was deleted because it was a reply that bumped a very old thread and that's why your reply was deleted, and there isn't any problem with your reply other than this. I think it's always better to reply current posts instead of the old ones because for them the best place is archival board.
2493  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: July 11, 2023, 04:52:35 PM
I also think Mbappe won't be able to move to Madrid this season because it would be huge money for the club. Real Madrid won't pay that when next season they can buy Mbappe at a reasonable price. I think nothing serious will happen if Mbappe doesn't play for Real this season, although they will miss such a striker.
If Real Madrid doesn't really need a striker like Mbappe for next season, of course the solution is to wait for a reasonable price after Mbappe's contract period with PSG is over. But if Real Madrid still really needs a striker like Mbappe to have a surprise next season, at least Real Madrid should try to get Mbappe even though the price is slightly more expensive. Because next season Barcelona is predicted to still be very strong and Real Madrid must be able to compete to get back to being better in La Liga.
Mbappe is indeed expensive but the price is commensurate with his abilities which will indeed bring an increase in the performance of Real Madrid's attack line. So in my opinion, if Real Madrid dares to redeem Mbappe at the price offered by PSG at this time, then this will not cost Real Madrid a loss. because Mbappe can certainly contribute a lot to the club. Even Real Madrid might be more confident if Mbappe is in attack.

PSG itself is still trying to persuade Mbappe to extend the contract. But Mbappe is adamant that he will not renew his contract there. But this is not necessarily going to stay the same until next season. because Mbappe could change his mind and agree to extend the contract there. and if that happens then Real Madrid will again lose their chance to sign Mbappe. So I still think that it is better for Real Madrid to sign him as soon as possible. because waiting until next season is also at risk of losing Mbappe if Mbappe finally decides to extend his contract at PSG.
If you want to sign a player like Mbappe, you have to spend a little more money because a lot of teams are sitting on a lot of money to sign an expansive player like him. Make no mistake because with the skills and experience Mbappe has, he will surely perform for the team and as expected by the team. Mbappe is definitely needed in the team to strengthen their attack.
PSG will have to renew his contract if Mbappe does not change teams this season. Because to be in the team this season, he must extend the contract and then be in the team.

That is, PSG is going to take advantage of the opportunity of Mbappe to leave the club and it is natural to take advantage of it because if he extends the contract period or leaves the team at this moment, PSG will get a good amount of money from Real Madrid.

PSG will definitely take the advantage of the opportunity because they have no other option. The extension of the contract period isn't possible and it wont take place, and in that case the PSG has the only remaining option that is to ask for huge amount for transfer of Mbappe to Real Madrid, and I'm quite sure that Real Madrid will pay huge sums of money to have such a top level player in their team.

I have heard that Mbappe is not interested in extending or resigning a contract with PSG and that's why if Real Madrid offers them a good offer then they wont reject such offers. Just imagine that when a player like Mbappe plays from the side of Real Madrid, the team will once again get the crown as the top team of La Liga.
2494  Other / Meta / Re: Forum having issues? on: July 11, 2023, 04:25:32 PM
I have been experiencing slow loading times when browsing forum topics as well in the last couple of days. It seems better right now. I had no issues posting, except waiting for the post to appear longer than what is normal. But there was a thread of mine that I was trying to edit and it didn't work. All attempts resulted in 500 server errors. Even opening the post and clicking on the preview button displayed the 500 error. Luckily, it's gone now.

The forum is really working now and I don't think that anyone is facing any such issues anymore. I think the issue was not because of the host server but it was basically a Cloudflare issue because I have seen many sites that implemented Cloudflare into their servers were having the same issue. I still think that Cloudflare hasn't fixed the issue and many sites have been affected by this issue. I hope that we will soon get a proper routing from Cloudflare and there wont be such issues in future.

2495  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin trading and gambling on: July 11, 2023, 04:18:54 PM
So having made all this comparisons, do you think that bitcoin can be classified as gambling?

I have gone through the whole article and I would classify Bitcoin as non-gambling because it's a different thing from gambling and someone who knows Bitcoin very well will make money because of its volatility. The Bitcoin's price is predictable and if someone who is good at crypto-trading then no doubt that the person can earn enough returns from his/her investments and trades.

Gambling is a totally different thing and there is no proper strategy for a gambler other than the luck factor. I have always been saying it and I will say it once again that gambling is purely dependent on someone's luck because only a lucky person can have profit in gambling. Those who don't have a good luck should try stops betting instead of betting on the games that are purely luck oriented.
2496  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: July 11, 2023, 04:07:24 PM
    Bangladesh vs Afghanistan Last ODI

Afghanistan's 7-wicket loss today has put the team under serious threat. Shariful Islam of Bangladesh lost four wickets for just 21 runs in 9 overs. Although today's field is a bowling pitch, all teams will be under a lot of pressure. Especially Bangladesh bowling performance is very good. And there is a chance of winning today as the run rate is low every over while the Afghanistan bowlers have to be wary of it. Bangladesh definitely has a chance to win today especially if they can protect the wicket.

Afghanistan is under a lot of pressure to bat. Afghanistan has now lost a whopping 7 wickets. Afghanistan scored 86 runs in 33 overs. If Afghanistan bats like this, they may not be able to score more than 150 runs. Bangladesh have started to perform very well in the bowling line.  Shoriful Islam bowled 9 overs and took 4 wickets with 21 runs. The quality of the players of Bangladesh team seems to be very good. I don't know if Bangladesh can win today's match.
Bangladesh won today's match by 7 wickets though Bangladesh lost last two matches with Afghanistan Afghanistan batted earlier today and Bangladesh bowlers bowled very well today due to which Afghanistan could not collect big runs and wickets fell quickly. Bangladesh have won only one of the three matches which is not enough to qualify them for the ODI. But Bangladesh can win one match out of three matches, saving them some respect lol

In today's match team Afghanistan didn't play well and they batsmen were totally playing like mediocre game in this match. The Bangladeshi team finally won a 1 match out of 3 ODI matches against Afghanistan and that's a really thumbs up for the team, but in their previous matches the team Bangladesh disappointed many fans because of the worse performance in those matches.

I agree that Afghanistan lost this match because they were incapable of scoring good runs in this match and that's why they have lost this match. However, I still hope that they will play better in the coming matches because the team is a good one. Their T20 matches will be really amazing because both teams are quite good at ground and the both teams have many fans who want them to have victory in the matches.
2497  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is more important for crypto users? on: July 11, 2023, 02:23:22 PM
I don't think gambling is more important for crypto users, but making money is the most important for crypto users.

They're making money through staking, lock in centralized site, buy shitcoins, trading, or invest in Bitcoin, not through gambling. If someone try to make money in gambling, they must be suffer losses and it will make them to learn if gambling isn't for making money.

Very true the crypto users are mostly into the field to make money and that's the best answer in the thread. They are not into gambling and they don't need to be into gambling without their own interest. Although, the crypto-currencies has made online gambling a reality but we can't say that everyone who is into crypto-world is a gambler.

Making money is also possible in gambling, but only those people will make money in gambling who are lucky by nature because without luck gambling is a waste of time. In only gambling that isn't entirely dependent on luck is sport book because that type of gambling depends on someone's understanding of a team on which they are betting. That type of betting is totally independent from other types of gambling which are mostly luck related.
2498  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is more important for crypto users? on: July 10, 2023, 07:25:05 PM
Can you explain me why i need to learned gambling?

Simply put, here only millions of money are managed by asset owners, so where i have no money. In fact, i have ideas about gambling, but I don't have the ability to spend money there.

You don't need to learn gambling because everyone already know gambling and they have done some type of gambling in their lives many times without even noticing it. Many people bet with their friends about certain things and if the bet goes in their favor they win drinks and other things. They are unconsciously gambling and they aren't even aware about that, so that's why it's unfair to say that we need to learn gambling.

I don't agree that gambling is important for crypto users because there are many crypto users who aren't even aware about crypto gambling at all. I have been into crypto-world since 2016 and I recently learned about crypto gambling and joined some sites. Now, I do gambling for fun on those sites, and I must say that it's a type of entertainment if you do it in a limit.  You will have to have money in order to gamble without money you wont be able to place any bets. Even, if you have thousands of ideas about gambling but if you don't have money then you'll never be a gambler.
    2499  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sherbet.com - $500 Welcome Package - #1 Social Casino - $15,000 Weekly Race 🤑 on: July 10, 2023, 07:12:47 PM
Having the same issue. I registered and started playing on the site. Suddenly the site went off and gave a privacy error followed by a stock parking domain. This is damn weird, to say the least Tongue
Same here I can't access the site even though I did not use VPN to access the site m, the domain is down and the team should do something to bring it back online as soon as possible, because I was able to create an account on sherbet some weeks back but abandoned it since then m, not up till now that I read multiple comments from members on their inability to access the casino and the warning their getting.

But I don't know if the technical issues are also associated with the network congestion with Cloud Fire for the past 72 hours.

I also tried the site and unfortunately it's still down, and I don't know why the site is down, but it can also be the issue because of Cloudflare if they have implemented it into their system. I have visited many sites which have Cloudflare implementation and most of them were having issues since yesterday, and the same can the be issue of Sherbet. I'm quite sure that this issue will be solved soon and any websites that somehow have incorporation of Cloudflare will be in their previous working condition.

    Hello,

I'm not going to bother engaging in this conversation, I see where it's headed. There isnt a single customer who has come forward and said that their transaction has not gone through and I've scammed them, it's because they dont exist. The service works, I dont control any transactions, there is an API that processes the transactions. I wish no ill will on anyone, we are jumping to conclusions.

Remember it's innocent until proven guilty. Not the other way around.

It is your prerogative to use or not use the exchange. I'll be watching the forum for any customer support. I wish you all the best.

    Cheers

You are right there isn't a customer that is going to say that your website works like a charm without any issue because those customers don't exist in real life and all of them are just fake promises. I have never used your site and I will never use a site that seems fishy from its name.

However, I'm quite sure that you have made fake reviews, and fake customer support team, and that proves that something is fishy in your website, and anyone who ever do any transactions on the site will most probably end up losing the money.

If you still think that your words are enough to explain your honesty, then kindly prove that why you have used fake customer support team and fake reviews for your site? If you can explain in a brief and convincible reply then your reputation might get a little better.
