2481  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Discovering your potentials on: July 14, 2023, 06:32:43 PM

It all depends on the desire of one person to reach the objective he has pointed to himself,so discipline and persistence are the key things one should have today, the rest can be easily found on the internet as explained above.

The internet like you have said have opened alot of opportunity that someone can even easily change from one potential to another because I hear that someone can have different ability or capacity. You can develop more than one potential, someone who is always online can learn so many things from digital marketing to freelancing, blogging, affiliate marketing etc.
2482  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How do you handle borrowers? on: July 14, 2023, 04:25:44 PM
How do you deal with the situation where people who you are close to like family and friends are constantly demanding for one kind of financial assistance or the other.

If you have you extent to them because you will not be buried with the money you have.

How about people who borrow money from you and never return it or even show any effort to make payment back to you,

This set of people who borrow with the promise of returning it and never do are funny set of people. They actually make no effort to pay back at least most of them and the shocker is that they pretend to have returned it to you. You can see yourself arguing with them when they shock you with such information that they have returned it  Grin

how did you go about the situation?

If you think the borrower just want to run away with the money, then you may give part of the money on the request that you can forfeit. You may not disclose to the person that you won't ask for the money but within you, you have decided not to ask for it again and if the person comes back to repay it, you let them know it is a gift. I think such surprise will be an imprint in the annals of time in your relationship with the person.

What could make you get into a fight with your fellow gambler?

At the end of the day, it boils down to basic attitude, moral compass, and decency as a human being. If a person is outright disrespectful in a gambling table where he does not observe the normal attitude, then that would actually compel me to at least correct him; if not, leave the table and switch to another dealer. If he still continues with this kind of attitude where he would still bug me, then that would actually force me to fight him.

If he continues in a manner that is annoying, you just know that it might be an intentional act to provoke you or tempt you to a fight probably he has an agenda to harm you. This temptation can be avoided if you already know that you have done the necessary thing to avoid it. The scenario you painted is not spontaneous and that means you can cancel your dealing or joint betting with him but where it is spontaneous then the fighting is possible.

Gamble to make money is normal, and 99% gamblers do gamble to make money, no one can deny about this fact.
It is BS if there are gamblers who say that they do gamble JUST for FUN without any intention to make money.

Yes, it is very difficult for someone to say that gambling is for fun only. Because basically most of them want to be able to get money. Even I myself find it difficult to say for fun at the beginning when i was lose.

However, based on the data released by gamblingcommission.gov.uk, 78% of respondents said that gambling is for fun. This data was taken from a survey of young gamblers aged 11-16 years. Do you believe their response if gambling for fun or they are just follow people who says "gambling for fun only?" since the respondents was very young

Stats can be read from here: https://www.gamblingcommission.gov.uk/report/young-people-and-gambling-2022

If the website made a survey and came up with the respondents figure between the age of 11-16 years to say that gambling is for fun, I don't agree with the survey on that aspect because I know that majority of gamblers do that to make ends meet. They are playing and betting as well to increase the finance they have. Moreover, these respondents are underaged who are not allowed to bet so how come they were used for the survey. They are still under the tutelage of their parents and how come they were able to solicit for their response. The young people barely knows what gambling is and their response can't be taken as fact, they are not faced with financial issues, no wife or children, no financial obligations or commitment so how would they give a response to what challenges they have not witnessed.

They may be gambling in secret, perhaps that could inform their response

The group that did such survey with underaged gamblers are guilty of that and are suppose to be fined under the gambling regulation law.
2485  Economy / Gambling / Re: Which are best stake alternatives on: July 14, 2023, 11:30:13 AM

I'll give you a compilation of alternative crypto casino you could patronise.

It is not all about patronising but to actually deliver to customers. Some of the list you have made contain casinos that have been alleged of scam and wrong delivery to customers, so you have to verify the list before dropping it to users here. Playing in casino is not a challenge but to redeem your winning is what matters.
2486  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What could make you get into a fight with your fellow gambler? on: July 14, 2023, 10:33:39 AM

What could make you get into a fight with your fellow gambler?

If one party is cheating on the other by stealing the games of the other and when it gets to his turn to give out his own game for the bet he hides away. I have seen this causing problem where friends can decide to share analysis and combine games but on the other party's turn he refuse to allow the friend to see his game and went to bet and win. It led the other cheated partner to complain and they fought and separated from being friends.

And would you agree at anytime to double cash with your fellow gambler to place a bet using his account, on the notion of increasing the potential win.

I agree that when you stake higher then the cash out will be higher, that may be the basis for those joining resource to do that but aside from that, people can play differently to avoid those kinds of problems. On the whole I think it is greed that will make people only think of possibilities of bigger win from bonus or increased potential winning if they join resources together without considering issues that may arise from that, or without having a proper agreement.

To have agreement before the stake is more problem solving than to allow problem to arise because of proper arrangements.
2487  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You must do this if you want to QUIT or NOT on: July 14, 2023, 08:25:17 AM

Now, if you still want to gamble but you don't want to become addicted to it, one of the things you should do in my opinion is:

1. Only set aside an amount of money that you will use to gamble in a casino.
2. Don't think that you will gamble to make money, because if you do that, you will surely have a problem later.
3. Just spend a few hours staying in a casino to gamble so you can avoid what you don't realize is wasting time that you should be spending on important things instead of gambling.

These points are good but very difficult to keep to.  Setting out money aside for gambling is as good as telling a smoker to reduce the amount of cigarettes to take by himself. These actually need a pressure to achieve. A gambler that has money in his account after losing a bet has that drive to try again.

It is every gambler delight to make money from it. So it is worthy to note because this is the primary aim to gamble and that is why it is difficult to spend a short time on it but agreed the lesser time you spend in gambling, the gradual your interest in gambling diminishes. I believe this aspect that if you want to stop gambling then start reducing the amount of time you give to gambling.

2488  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I am only trying to stay safe by gambling less on: July 14, 2023, 05:59:24 AM
I am not a gambling addict but some friends are making me look like one because I gamble less and they gamble more, it all started when we got into an argument that investing in Bitcoin is not the same as gambling, my friends who are gamblers, not full-time but more of a gambler than I am, are claiming that there is no difference between investing and gambling, they said if all you doing is investing money on Bitcoin you are no different to those who are gambling in a casino.

Are you going to allow your friends confuse you on what you don't desire to do? You are already convinced that bitcoin investment and gambling is not the same thing but your friends are insisting they are, friend you don't need to prove anything to them. Addict gamblers are like that, they are use to arguing that way because you are not doing same thing they are doing and they want to generalize every thing together. But you know the difference by your self, why don't you keep to it and if you want to gamble by yourself you can instead of allowing them to persuade you.
2489  Economy / Economics / Re: Always ask for POD form from your bank on: July 13, 2023, 09:10:58 PM
Although asking for POD form is a good idea, but it's weird when we're discuss it here.

Most of people in this forum is a Bitcoin holder, they almost of their wealth in Bitcoin, remember the phrase "be your own bank". Bitcoin holder never trust in bank anymore, but they still use fiat and bank too because they've no choice as their country only accept fiat as legal tender. So they just have a small amount money in bank and not really that important to recover the money back to the next generation.

Not withstanding your disparage or logical aspersion on bank, even if you decide to hodl your money in btc or any other cryptocurrency, remember to have a confidant who will know your phrase to your wallet or will have access to it by means of directions you will drop on the exact description to get your passphrase otherwise such incident of death is still same as what experience OP shared and in fact regarding to cryptocurrency, if the passphrase was not disclosed then forget your earnings at least. So this is a head up that POD or disclosure of passphrase is apt.
2490  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is justice really blind? on: July 13, 2023, 07:15:16 PM

If I'm to be the judge I'd address the case as a fresh case and I'll let everyone know the true storyline and I can't sentence her for a crime she didn't comit at first which she served and now she went on to commit that same crime, I'll set her free with conviction after all she's innocent.

Sometimes justice can be blind but not always.

That should be the simple justice on the matter. Justice is not blind if the matter is judged this way but it will be injustice if she is sent to jail for the second time while she actually committed the crime once. Such case should be handled with care as that is same person and not a different person. The earlier judgement was wrong against the alleged offender.
2491  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Healthy mindset to save earnings from gambling on: July 13, 2023, 05:58:52 PM

There's this delusional mindset or a believe set from gamblers that they could have more chances of winning bigger amount again after getting a win of some attractive figures. By that, they increase their bets and their risk only to end up losing all they have won back to the casino house. Gamblers do this forgetting that a gambler doesn't get lucky twice immediately after a big win.

It is not only about the second chance trier but the increase of the risk and most gamblers are culprit to this. If you win once and you are playing for another game, you have the tendency to increase your bet as a natural instinct of man because you have profit already and the money you win gives you more confidence and hope as you are left with some balance. The unfortunate thing is that like you said, that greed will push someone to keep playing until the last drop of the cash is exhausted. Second chance works sometimes but it is dangerous when you try to win the second time and fail, you may want to continue trying until you are on zero balance.

2492  Economy / Gambling / Re: Top 5 Advantages of Bitcoin Casinos vs. Traditional Casinos on: July 13, 2023, 05:14:45 PM
The only difference between a Bitcoin casino and a traditional one is that the tokens used in that gambling game have become digital or cryptocurrency. And the second difference between them is that Bitcoin is online of course and it's fine even if you're at home.
in Traditional casinos you have to go directly to their site platform literally. Also, the traditional game is something you can see and touch in person, while with bitcoin it's not really via online.

Advantage of playing in bitcoin casino is also that you are sure of no third party interference in your transfers, all you need is the address of the casino but traditional casinos sometimes you could recheck why your deposit is not credited because of that level of human involvement. Some traditional casinos agent are so lazy that they may forget to credit you after you have made deposit to them. You have to go there at times to remind them if you have not seen the deposit alert and sometimes it takes days to rectify some payment if there are payment reflection issues.
2493  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gender in Gambling [differences between Women and Men in Gambling] on: July 13, 2023, 04:40:02 PM

I think, people think that women can't gamble but I think that they can gamble with a high percentage of wins because they are organized and have the patience to win the race slowly and steadily and not put all the gambling portfolio in one or two games.

On the contrary I don't think women win gambling bet more than men or there organized attributes or patience a factor. In fact I don't think patience will be attributed to a woman alone because this is subjective even if we agree that they are organised. Therefore, the reason that it looks like the women win more is that they don't lose as heavily like men. Men are heavy gamblers, they gamble with high percentage of risk but women don't bet heavily so if they lose they will still have something to bet again but men may not have such money as they involve a lot of risk at one bet.

I understand your account won't allow you to post image but what you have in the link is not anywhere enough to get people to understand what happened. You only show you have 3773.4 usdt or so in the wallet and that will not tell anything. What about email messages etc .

Moreover no background stories or what reason they gave for not allowing you to withdraw? Or is it an issue of KYC.
2495  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Thoughts On First Time Lottery Bettor Who Won Big Amount? on: July 13, 2023, 10:47:18 AM

I don't feel left out or feel missing out because one person made millions from. gambling, it's good for him but I wish that many lives are changed just like him, gambling is the slowest way to achieve anything and it's better to avoid trying to get anything from gambling, I get more unexpected surprises when I gamble because I was not prepared or expecting it and I like it this way.

You speak with so much conviction that there is no positivity in gambling but some other people will also doubt your reasoning maybe when they look at what they have achieved through gambling. I believe however that gambling favour few like lottery winner but it leaves much more people in penury. I agree however with you on your ending part as to unexpected surprise. Yes if you gamble without so much high hopes in it to become your source of income, you are likely to be hitting some difference in your account probably because you are taking all the measures for right ways to gamble, like gambling as you can afford to lose, not gambling always etc .
2496  Economy / Gambling / Re: Whats happening with Betnomi? on: July 13, 2023, 09:41:50 AM
For the main time everyone needs to avoid Betnomi to see if they're coming back again and rectify all the issues or be on the safer side by avoiding the casino because this may be a clear case of exit from the market,  just like a few members have mentioned in the comment it clear that the gambling industry is becoming a highly competitive one and at that, most of the casinos that lack liquidities could easily close their doors to business since there will not be able to meet up with the operational cost to keep the casino running.

It is normal that when such occurrences takes place, one would need to take caution so as not to fall victim of the situation. From the previous posts I have been reading I think there is possibility that they would return because they have promised to make processing pending withdrawals for members and also fix up things properly  even at then, the competition as you have mentioned is very high and  from the looks, seems they are out of ideas on how to restructure their organization hence the delay in activities. But it would be nice for them to hasten up with whatever they are doing so as to take their place and retain their position otherwise some other casinos with high competitive features will take their place and when that happens, they have lost it all as nobody would come their way anymore.

No matter the situation that they are going through at the moment, they should have made the customers aware of or a clue that they won't be up for a certain time to a certain time and also disable the deposit and review withdrawals from their customers before going off if it is temporary but now with the whole scene, the customers are more apprehensive than we can imagine. It is really unfortunate that maintainance was not made public before they went off for the moment.
2497  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who is to be blamed, the gambler or the betting agent on: July 13, 2023, 09:13:50 AM

In the case described in OP, the gambling agent was still able to find the gambler despite the gambler trying to evade the debt. If this were to be online casino, how and where will they find a gambler who they granted loan to. The money is lost for ever.

There is no room for debt in online business and that is the advantage because there is no personal relationship interphase. The casino don't give out credit only bonus for playing with them. There is no credit facility allowed but because there is physical relation in offline casino, things like that are possible.

In general, I don't think offline casinos giving their customers loan to gamble is ethical. They are just increasing the gamblers debt and risk of being addicted. That act should be prohibited.

Does this not buttress the point that the house win more than the bettor? The agents that is loaning out the money knows the gambler was going to lose again and again which was the reason to give out the money. Otherwise how would you loan money to someone who wants to "fight " against you and to win against you ? Or if you are not sure the money you loan won't come back to you as profit .
2498  Economy / Gambling / Re: Using ToS against users normal? on: July 13, 2023, 06:22:13 AM
Changing of terms and conditions without notifying the users or gamblers is normal with online gambling websites? Then when you did something wrong or about to withdraw your money they will tell you that you don't read their terms and conditions, and you start arguing with them until you decide to read the ToS again and you find out that it's different.

I think it is not proper for casinos to abruptly change ToS without informing users especially when it has to do with major terms that can stop users from withdrawing there winning. They should be able to send email notifications to those old users already active and playing with them. On the other hand too I think sometimes bettors should take time to read on those important aspect that will stop them from withdrawing.  However, we should expect changes in ToS from time to time because the world is not stagnant and every other thing revolve as things change because change is the only thing that is constant.
2499  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: July 12, 2023, 09:27:07 PM

The chance to get kane is bigger compared with osimhen. Bayern may ready to increase its budget even higher compared with the last offer.

Harry Kane has said he doesn't want to stay in Tottenham Hotspur this summer. I think he realize that age is no longer in his side about clocking 30 years with no trophy. His contract should official expire by next year but he wants to make a fast move either to Bayern or Manchester city. I Daniel Levy should allow him to go , he has given part of his youth playing days to Tottenham so going to a club where he can celebrate trophy with team mates is a good idea for him.

Can't imagine how it would be if Kane really left for Manchester City and partnered with Haaland, so I think it's clear that it will be a very good line of attack and always a serious threat to opposing teams. But regarding Tottenham's difficulty in letting go of Kane's departure, a case like this is like a coercion. I think such an attitude cannot be justified at all. So yes, Tottenham should be able to accept the decision that Kane wants to leave, because it will be useless if Tottenham continues to force Kane to play at Tottenham then it will have a negative impact on his performance.

Harry Kane deserve to leave for a top flight club and taste lifting some trophy before the end of his career. A player of his status deserve such. I remember also one player in Tottenham who only was winning young player award in EPL which is Garry Bale. It was until Bale took the very drastic step to join Real Madrid that he started winning trophy. Now if you search Google for trophies that Garry Bale can lay claims to, they are all there,
Quote
5 Champions Leagues, 4 Club World Cups, 3 European Super Cups, 3 LaLiga titles, 1 Copa del Rey and 3 Spanish Super Cups.
. So Kane should better his career by moving out from Tottenham and get to where he can win some title.
2500  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there real sports bet groups on: July 12, 2023, 07:46:18 PM

It's stated that he is making that amount per month, which indicates a level of consistency. If this is indeed true, then I believe he should consider pursuing gambling full-time and leave his job in order to maximize his profits. Earning around $700-$800 per month is noteworthy, but I am also curious to know the size of the bankroll he utilizes for his betting purposes.

If that is the case that it is steady for him that such amount comes to him through gambling, his bankroll does not matter to know because if the risk he is taking is not worth it then he won't be that successful on it, it would have been affecting him when he loses. So he probably is taking proper care to analyse the games that are giving him such winning. But usually those that win in football betting don't play so many games. They just play few and boost the potential winning with high staking power.
