2501  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What percentage of bitcoin buyers at the higher prices are still holding? on: December 09, 2018, 03:20:05 AM
So you are saying that more than half the people who bought btc at those higher prices probably sold it already?  Also the people that im talking about ... i dont mean like traders.  I mean people who heard about it and thought okay i want to buy it because people say it will go higher in price etc.  Or people that buy it and already have but they are not trading.  Those people, you think more than half sold it already?

Like i notice lot of threads talking about how i bought btc or altcoin at x price and down a huge percentage.  But aren't most of those people still holding?
2502  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / What percentage of bitcoin buyers at the higher prices are still holding? on: December 09, 2018, 03:00:55 AM
By that i mean last year when bitcoin went to 3k and up all the way to 19500.  I know lot of people bought btc at 5k or higher and of course many ppl bought it at 10k price or more.  And obviously many of us are not happy about this.  However, what percentage of these people would you say are still holding btc?  Because if you don't sell it... you did not lose.  Yes you could bought btc at 19500.  But if you still have not sold it, you haven't lost money yet.

I know that in trading, when one person wins, another loses.  So of all the people here who bought btc at the higher prices especially 10k plus price etc... would you say more or less than 50 percent already sold it?

Like lot of people post i bought btc at 10k, 13k, 15k, 18k, 19500 etc.  But would you say most are still holding?
2503  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: SHIFT - The next 100x potential on: November 27, 2018, 11:22:47 PM
Is phantom and all the other things shift said it would do out already?  If so, why price still this low?  Its 25 cents almost.
2504  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [ SHIFT ] Price Speculation on: November 27, 2018, 11:21:47 PM
Does anyone here think shift can go back to higher price?
2505  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 6 Reasons Why Shift Will Become A Top 10 Coin In 2018 on: November 27, 2018, 11:21:25 PM
Thoughts on it?  Its 25 cents now.  I bought it at a much higher price.  How can this coin be so low when there was so much promise with it?
2506  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins Under $1 on: November 27, 2018, 09:05:13 PM
Well can anyone tell me their opinion of the coins on the list such as which ones are still good bets?  Example i always felt power ledger was a good bet because of it being australian etc.  Its all the way down to 7 cents.  I got it much higher and down a huge percentage already.  Should i get more of it to well even it out?

What other coins in this list are good?  Which are horrible and have no future?  Example i thought waves would be big but its been nothing but disappointment.
2507  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What percentage of traders/investors make/lose money? on: November 27, 2018, 07:08:39 PM
what percentage of traders are up this year?  Are there even 10 percent of traders that are in profit this year due to everything falling down?
2508  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins Under $1 on: November 27, 2018, 07:07:07 PM
Thoughts on this?
2509  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest in these altcoins? on: November 27, 2018, 07:06:49 PM
Thoughts on these?  I got some of these and well i do not feel good because all these drop a huge percentage already.

Which one of these do you see a future in the list i posted?
2510  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Waves Sell Or Hodl? on: November 27, 2018, 07:04:43 PM
Does anyone here think there is a future for waves anymore?  Its below 1 dollar and i got it much higher than this price.
2511  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blockfolio Updated Itself? on: November 27, 2018, 06:55:05 PM
Is anyone here having the same issue?  Using it on iphone and after it automatically updated, it lags a lot.  Example i put a ton of coins on the app to watch etc.  And i have to click on each coin for each one to automatically update the price almost every single time.

Thus imagine i did not open the app for a bit... then check it... the price is like how it was before i closed the program.
2512  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should I stop trading in this bear market? on: November 25, 2018, 05:52:06 AM
How does anyone even make money trading when everything is down?
2513  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Bitcoin Cash Fork? on: November 16, 2018, 07:17:56 PM
Thanks HCP.

So to those of you that have bch on your electron cash or your nano ledger s, how do you claim the bitcoin fork that just happened?
2514  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: LastLaughingGuy - day trading diary on: November 16, 2018, 07:15:48 PM
do you have a btc goal profit?
2515  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Bitcoin Cash Fork? on: November 14, 2018, 04:35:20 PM
hi bob thanks for confirming this.  But what is meant by private keys?

so basically at the time of the fork, my bch was in electron cash right?  While other ppl might have it in their nano ledger s, coinbase or binance etc?
2516  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BCH just too off like a rocket on: November 14, 2018, 05:26:57 AM
I still did not claim my bch from electron cash as i did not download the program.  I was in the electrum forum and ppl said it does not matter if i claim it or not.  Can others confirm this is true?  Thus in the future, i can always claim my bch and this bitcoin fork with my 12 word electrum phrase?

The thing is i know this fork is as long as you have bch... but what if you never claimed it from electron cash.  Well its there even if u dont claim it.  So that mean my bch is in electron cash is that correct?  Thus i do not need to do anything now?  Because i dont want to not be able to claim anything from the fork because i did not claim my bch from electron cash.
2517  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Bitcoin Cash Fork? on: November 14, 2018, 05:24:06 AM
HCP, so just to confirm, even if i dont do the process of downloading electron cash to claim the bch... yes i know claiming isn't the term to use but you know what i mean, i still will get the forked coins later on in the future right?  So its the 12 word electrum phrase that is what is needed?  Thus that is the phrase that is needed for bch claim in electron cash and the bitcoin fork soon?
2518  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Bitcoin Cash Fork? on: November 09, 2018, 12:55:44 AM
So i like to know... does this mean if i do nothing now, does it mean in the future when i download electron cash, i could then of course claim my bch... but also claimed that forked coin that is upcoming?
Short Answer: Yes

Long Answer:

Essentially, all a fork does is copy/paste the blockchain at a set point in time and then build from that point with it's own rules/network... thus, if PublicKeyA contained 1 <coin> at <forkTime> on <CoinChain>, then PublicKeyA would then have 1 <forkCoin> on <forkChain> after the fork occurred (assuming a 1:1 fork... adjust as necessary if the fork is like BCD which was 1:10)

Why this is relevant to you, is that whether or not you have created a forkcoin wallet is (usually) entirely irrelevant... As, ALL the coins are listed on the associated blockchain... not held in wallets.

So if <forkChain> is then forked... and that 1 <forkCoin> on PublicKeyA was not been moved... then at <2ndForkTime>, you will find that <2ndForkChain> now has 1 <2ndForkCoin> listed as belonging to PublicKeyA.

As long as you still have PrivateKeyA (the key that PublicKeyA is derived from) then you will be able to access all the PublicKeyA's... on all the various blockchains.

Hey hcp thanks for that information.  If that is the case, i won't download electroncash yet to get the bch that is there.  So basically my bch is in electron cash right?  Thus me doing nothing is the same as someone downloading electron cash and doing the process to get the bch and them leaving it in electron cash?

When you say the private key, you mean the electrum 12 word phrase right?  Just want to make sure of this.
2519  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Bitcoin Cash Fork? on: November 08, 2018, 05:47:53 AM
So i like to know... does this mean if i do nothing now, does it mean in the future when i download electron cash, i could then of course claim my bch... but also claimed that forked coin that is upcoming?

The thing is you say if you own any bch coins, you will get access to both forks.  So does me not downloading electron cash and doing the whole process... means it does not matter since the bch is already in electron cash?  It just i didnt went through the process?  When i say claim the bch, i mean going through process of downloading electron cash and getting the bch.  I still have not done this b/c i dont have a 2nd computer at the moment.  Well i do... but its a chromebook so i would have to install linux or something.
2520  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Bitcoin Cash Fork? on: November 08, 2018, 05:44:46 AM
Okay if i don't claim the bch before the bch fork, would i still have access to the forked coin?

There is no option to claim or not to claim. If you own any BCH coins on Nov 15th, you will get access to both forks, Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin Cash SV. This is assuming you keep these on your Ledger or ElectronCash wallet.

You will NOT get any BCH forked coins by holding BTC however. Only way you would get those is if you held some BTC before Aug 1st 2017 which would get split basically 3 ways.

I held bitcoin in my electrum wallet when the bitcoin cash fork happened last year in august 2017 and whatever date was the bitcoin gold fork.

I thought about downloading electron cash to get the bitcoin cash but did not do this because I only had one computer at the time.  But i then had access to a 2nd computer and still did not claim it.  At the moment, i do not have access to bch or bitcoin gold because i did not go through the process of downloading electron cash etc.

So based on this information, do i own any bch coins or not?  Because if i did the electron cash download to get the bch, i would either move the coins to the ledger nano s or move it to exchange like binance.  That way, i would get the forked coin for sure.  The thing im concerned about is if i don't do it soon, then does that mean i don't get any of the new forked coin soon?
