2501  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What made you prefer Hitbtc over Binance? on: March 01, 2021, 04:53:57 PM
Just stick on Binance, you're on the right path.

HitBTC is selectively scamming their users and I saw different stories if you visited this board and find their ANN thread you will never see good feedback there against to HitBTC exchange.  It's always stuck and loss withdrawal or locking accounts for no reason.

There are more advantages on Binanance while HitBTC is full of disadvantages which it should be avoided with all cost.

I have an account on both of these exchange platforms, but when HitBTC imposed their KYC verification (IIRC year 2019) I stop using them since as much as I can I will avoid KYC for a good reason.
2502  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Help on: February 28, 2021, 05:15:11 PM
How about trying to locate a bitcoin ATM?  If you've got a debit card, you should be able to get cash easily enough, and if you've got cash and have a bitcoin ATM somewhere nearby, you're good to go.
Yes, ATM is the most convenient way of buying and selling Bitcoin if you don't mind the fees, I never tried this but as I have heard, they had terrible fees which are really hurtful to your pocket.  You can locate it through this site (https://coinatmradar.com/) and find Bitcoin ATM machines near you.

For now, there are:

For an exchange platform that allowed users to use debit cards and reputable ones I think, these are worth trying, and don't forget to have research first.
  • Etoro
  • CEX.io
  • Coinbase
All of these have pros and cons, make sure to have further research before you use it.
2503  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Low fee causing unconfirmed transaction on: February 28, 2021, 04:33:59 PM
Transactions are irreversible. It’s just stuck on the blockchain, and it’s highly expected that low transaction fees are the cause of the delay for it to be fully confirmed. I have done that before on a low transaction, and it took me a long while to make it confirmed until someone suggested for me to use a Bitcoin TX accelerator. That would solve the problem, but only a limited number of users can use it every hour.
That's why in every moment that you are trying to make transactions on Bitcoin, I suggest always check these sites first before deciding to transfer your Bitcoin to another wallet. (Mempool and Johoe's Bitcoin Mempool Statistics ).  To know what exactly the required amount by the network needed if you're in hurry and I don't think this TX accelerator will help much more seems they already rebroadcast your transaction, I much prefer to use (RBF) Replace-by-fee for the stuck transaction due to causing a low fee.

But I rarely heard that about transactions get rejected by mempool by low fees, it will always be confirmed but it takes a couple of days or weeks.
2504  Other / Meta / Re: Good to delete post or not on: February 28, 2021, 04:10:21 PM
There are some boards that you can't delete your post, AFAIK, the service section.

If you feel that your post was irrelevant and there's someone who had already posted the same idea as yours, you are free to edit it and put the word "EDITED" so that they will know that your post was edited.  That's why I always advise hitting first the "Preview" button before you tend to hit the "Post" button because when while you're typing and there's someone else who had posted already, you will see a notification and that's a right time to check your post if it is already given.

Remember that every time you will delete your post it will mark in your account profile on Bpip.org the number that you'd deleted and the number of posts that deleted by the MODs and if that is edited, you can also check on the LoyceV's archives that mentioned above.
2505  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Lost Bitcoines In A Transaction to Coinbase on: February 28, 2021, 03:42:17 PM
It's been almost 2 years but why you didn't raise this problem since then?

First, you need to contact Coinbase support if the Bitcoin address that your Bitcoin was transferred belongs to them or check your Coinbase Bitcoin wallet address if this is the same as the address where your Bitcoin last landed.  If not, then, that might you have been sent to the wrong address as what o_e_l_e_o said above that you might have infected by a clipboard malware which is automatically changed into a scammers Bitcoin address.

I checked the Bitcoin address where your Bitcoin last landed and it seems it was transferred to a cold wallet similar to an exchange wallet.

Just follow the suggestion above and ask Coinbase support if that address belonged to them.  But I don't if think there's a high chance that you can able to recover your Bitcoin back.
2506  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Hardware Wallets banned in India?! on: February 28, 2021, 02:57:03 PM
1. They can still buy them from official retailer shops located in their country.

For Ledger, Trezor, Coldcard, Coolwallet, Safepal and other hardware wallets you can use:
- Esolvify Solutions LLP
- Etherbit Private Limited
 -Evyune
The thing that I didn't understand, you mean that they banned Bitcoin Hardware Wallet and their customs didn't allow to import HW in India but they had a local official retailer shop that you can purchase Hardware Wallet right?  So, how these merchants got a Hardware Wallet bringing inside their country?

I presumably think that it's all about business purpose.  I have heard a rumor that the bill was imposed by RBI was aiming to make their own official digital currency and kick out those private digital currencies.

However, they are totally noobs on how Bitcoin or the entire cryptocurrencies how it works, we had many alternatives where to store our crypto-asset safe even our own gadget with the help of a free open-source Bitcoin wallet and use P2P exchange.  If I'm an Indian citizen, I will laugh at them of what they'd imposed.
2507  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you could not buy Bitcoin in the past, nor Ethereum then buy this! on: February 27, 2021, 05:43:05 PM
BNB is the one I recommend the most.
I didn't against this but what if this company someday will get hacked and lose all of their funds?  I think BNB becomes more popular just because Binance that now the number one leading crypto exchange company and while the Ethereum fees were blatantly increased and since there are too many traders, BNB is their option to use when trading with all pairs IMO.

All of mentioned by the OP are worth investing in the long term?
It might be good if in your portfolio spend big percentage on Bitcoin because as you can see, all altcoins were followed the Bitcoin price movement, when Bitcoin is on a bullish trend, it goes the same on altcoin, unless, if there's a hype will surely separately go in other direction.
2508  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Not receiving authorization mails from Blockchain.com on: February 27, 2021, 04:59:12 PM
I dont think that Ive got hacked because when I track the last incoming transaction I see that there is balance on my address and I think the hacker would immediately move all funds to his wallet.
You can check your Bitcoin address on Blockchain.com itself or in blockchair.com to track the latest transaction and also to determine if your fund was still there.  Then if it wasn't there, then you might get hacked and I'm presumably you might a victim of a fishing link instead of the official website of Blockchain.com.

Back up seed phrase is very important, you can use this without using your email address and waiting for email verification, you can able to restore your fund in a new wallet, without this 2-word backup (recovery) phrase, you won't able to restore your wallet and I think you need to move on.
I heard different and stories of this wallet, I don't think why there are newbies in crypto are keep falling on this wallet.
2509  Economy / Exchanges / Re: YOBIT STOLE MY TOKENS on: February 27, 2021, 04:36:22 PM
I have not used yobit exchange for many years. I only used it when I was a novice member in the cryptocurrency market. They have one of the most terrible customer services on the Earth. There is a high chance that you can never get your money back. I am grieved beyond expression to learn of your loss. You need to move on and better get rid of this exchange
I never heard good feedback on this exchange since then, only I heard poor customer support that turns to a scam, heavily promote pump and dump projects, and IIRC, they are unregulated exchange, is that right?  There are too many cons while using this exchange, I will advise those who want to try this exchange platform, If l were you, I might think twice or thrice before start using this exchange.

OP might not alone here, I heard various stories like this that they losing funds without even getting recover, I think OP needs to move on about his loss, I don't think they care about their reputation or is all about the money that they could get or those accounts have trouble and can't recover the funds.

I hope OP gets a better answer to this.
2510  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It's become hard to understand altcoin movements. on: February 26, 2021, 05:46:43 PM
Theoretically and technically speaking regarding Bitcoin price movement and the other altcoins have an almost similar pattern.  IMO, just probably because when people tend to buy altcoins they need to buy Bitcoin first through fiat and then altcoins to trade.  Presumably, that's might the reason that I have seen here, so when Bitcoin goes down the price, there's a price trend of course.  So it's really hard to determine where those altcoin heading at or they can so it's your capital able to survive.

I suggest sticking on top 10 altcoins that have the potential of making a profit, it's very risky to if you don't even know what you have invested, it might wipe out the amount in your portfolio.
2511  Economy / Economics / Re: What do you think about borrowing against your bitcoin? on: February 26, 2021, 05:17:49 PM
If you're the kind of person that willing to face the possible risk, then you're good to go on that strategy of having fiat and borrowing fiat against your Bitcoin.  It depends on me about the situation, if I probably badly need the money and didn't have a choice, it might I will grab the opportunity while I have collateral.

This seems like gambling, either you will gain profit when upon borrowing or it will have bigger losses because the more days you didn't pay the interest and the more interest rate might the more chances that the interest payments will increase.  If interest rates went up by 3% or 5%, could you still afford the repayments?

But mostly it will end up selling my Bitcoin if I have badly needed money even though what will happen the price and I think, it isn't a good idea to take a loan against your Bitcoin.
2512  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam operations using YouTube comments! on: February 26, 2021, 04:47:04 PM
Yep! Not only on Youtube that scammers waiting to have a victim, but they are also everywhere on social media that can create hundreds of dummies account just to fool innocent and naive people, such as, Telegram, Twitter, Discord, or even in Facebook.  I always have seen this in a group or a company name that related to cryptocurrency.  For example, the image that I'd shared below.

source

This is a very common scenario when the Bitcoin price goes up, just ignore them to avoid a possible scam.  I even got a message from random people often who I don't know offering a trading service and making sweet promises of having a profit x times folds of what I have invested.
2513  Economy / Speculation / Re: How much lower you think BTC can go in this drop ? on: February 25, 2021, 04:46:53 PM
It seems this thread belongs to the speculation board, not on the trading discussion board.

We had experienced a short correction in the market price and I presumably predicting that Bitcoin price will not how down beyond $40k, as you can see, this was an anticipated moment for most crypto holders, Bitcoin has at a threat of pullback after a bull run and some of them afraid that Bitcoin price will repeat the movement during year 217 after the new ATH end.  If you can see in the market, there's a sign of resistance and I think it will not drop far beyond $50k IMO.  However, there's wasn't the right forecast that has an accurate result, it's always the market unpredictable.

All I can see, Bitcoin price is volatility and there's no infinite growth that makes Bitcoin always on the top.  The fact, nobody can guess the right answer of OP asked.
2514  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: What is the most secure device to store Bitcoin? on: February 25, 2021, 03:59:45 PM
To the most mentioned above was right, a Hardware wallet is the safest way to store our Bitcoin safe because it's our solely responsible to have strong security in our Bitcoin wallet.  So we should have all of these necessary safety precautions and must up-to-date those latest securities improvements regarding how to protect our valuable assets in cryptos.

A Hardware wallet device designed that can protect itself from being infected by malware as said above, but once we are doing a transaction often online, we are vulnerable at risk.  So, you should separate the cold storage wallet and the hot wallet storage if there's a daily small transaction we need you can transfer your hot wallet or transfer to cold storage for saving purpose, this is a good practice and one of the best methods to safeguard our crypto assets.

Separate device for cryptocurrency wallet is good advice, it should clean and must be often use in browsing or not always connected to the internet connection and most especially avoid public networks providers, they are vulnerable or sometimes have security flaws, this might also a risk while accessing your wallet.
2515  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: How can your funds be safe???????????????????????????? on: February 23, 2021, 11:23:59 PM
Almost answered above and I tend to agree with them.  At this moment we can trust Binance since they are a reputable exchange and the world's largest crypto trading exchange platform.  But it doesn't mean you totally safe on the exchange platform that you've, even though they offer a SAFU service for their customer, it's will remain vulnerable to hack and might result in shutting down the site.

The old saying of a wise Bitcoin Hodler, "Not your key, Not your coin", choose a Hardware or open-source wallets that you can trust to store your Bitcoin.  No, not on the exchange either on the custodial wallet that didn't allow you to hold your private key.

Here's my point, Binance is an exchange and it isn't good to store your Bitcoin there and leave for a long term.
2516  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: First time scammed , very frustrated on: February 23, 2021, 10:56:32 PM
Sorry for your loss mate, there's nothing we can do here but I think the best thing as of now is to accept and move on, that's irreversible and it's impossible to get back your fund.  The Ehereum address that you've given, there are 33 transactions and more than 21 Ethereum the balance, most probably not only you here their victim, there could be more.

I mistake that I think you've your money lost because you didn't have further research of what you invest, giving at least a  couple of days before deciding to buy their ICO.  Scammers now also improved, they are smarter than us, but if we have extra diligence upon invetsing, we might not fall into the trap.
2517  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Never Be in a hurry on: February 23, 2021, 05:03:37 PM
I tend to agree with the OP, never be in hurry.  But isn't also had a problem if your profit was there much better so sell the half and the remaining amount might hold back again.  The common problem of traders are those emotions and panic selling is one of the biggest emotion that should traders needs to be controlled.  But it's a different story if you have to hold altcoins or let say new projects, I will mostly sell them all once I needed because holding altcoins are might risky.

Sometimes our greediness makes us down if we're not contented with having profited from trading but I will call you the dumbest person I've known if you will sell your Bitcoin under the price you'd purchased.
2518  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Instutional imvestors are Here wall street Style of action Now on: February 23, 2021, 04:27:03 PM
Your thought sounds funny huh, how can people ask refund on institutional investors.  However, I triggered to answer in your thread about institutional manipulation but in the rest of your thought, it's totally nonsense.

There might a market manipulation of Bitcoin but it isn't an unclear image of what I have per see.  This was an anticipated event that everyone expected that there's an upcoming correction after a huge price spike.  You can't tell us that there's is an infinite growth of Bitcoin, correction will occur correction without specific dates.  Weak had will always be a loser in this situation, I personally suggest that not to do panic selling and don't feed this whale/big player if it is them.
2519  Economy / Exchanges / Re: YOBIT STOLE MY TOKENS on: February 23, 2021, 03:50:02 PM
Old Bitcointalk members know how horrible that exchange, I've been here for years and I witnessed different scam accusations against them, poor customer support, and others like they are very strict on KYC verification.  This would be a part of a game in the exchange on how to gain extra income through lost accounts of old users.

However, just keep trying to reach out to their support, probably they will answer you if you're lucky enough.

Anyway, Bitcointalk members have nothing to do in your case, it might be good if you will rise this topic too on their forum ( https://cryptotalk.org/forum/4-exchanges/ ) and seek help from other members there.
2520  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP vs SEC latest news on: February 22, 2021, 05:22:09 PM
The decision is your's OP, I dont think if XRP is worth investing as of now, it's very risky and we don't know when it will move.  We saw that there's a recent spike and then, it drastically went down in a matter of hours.  I think you should need to wait for the further good news regarding this coin, it might this good if you intend to invest in a short period of time.

Look at this Youtube Video, a funny prediction without thought.

Why do you need to risk on XRP?  As we saw in the market, all altcoins has been dropped the price including Bitcoin, it might a good opportunity to accumulate again since it looks like the recent correction might be refueling again and ready for the skyrocketing of the price.
