My bets for today: Magnolia -3.5 @1.92 boosted SMB ML @1.90 An SMC team is surely to take a seat in the finals, Magnolia is just too lethal for Meralco to take down for now. Almazan is not 100% percent healthy so he is not a big help to Meralco even if he will play, it will just aggravates his injury so better for him to rest. SMB vs TNT series is just too hard to predict for me so i just bet using my heart this time as a Beermen fan  . I'm okay though if TNT would take this series as for the fans to see another faces in the finals this time. |

I would not call this fight close. Or judges were blind, because they gave 117–112, 116–112, 115–113 points. 5-6 points difference is a huge advantage of one boxer. Hope that in the rematch we will see completely different AJ. Because " This game plan is not box and move, this plan is to go in and hurt Usyk" for a rematch does not look that AJ is going to be different, as everyone talk like that. That's not a close fight, i agree. It was a masterful performnce and complete domination by Usyk and IMO there would be not much difference on the outcome of the second fight. Unlike in the fight against Ruiz where we can say that it was just a lucky punch that turned the fight around in favor of Ruiz. Joshua's confidence will not be here and this time he will be the one that needs a lucky punch to knock Usyk out. |

These are just my personal view though, yes, they almost win in game 1 but it was still TNT who have a big lead early, SMB just had a big run in the 4th quarter and unfortunately, they were not able to complete it the win. In the 3rd quarter, the score was 19-29 TNT, while in the 4th quarter, 18-28 SMB. 10 point lead is not enough for them to beat the TNT and it's been always like that, SMB will have a big run usually in the last quarter like what they did in game 2 where they finally succeed to win.
If you guys noticed, it was Pogoy who carried TNT Katropa on the first three games, scoring 20+ points on each game while only managed to score a single bucket in the last game when SMB's defense clamped down on him so I think SMB would be now focused on stopping/limiting Pogoy for them to win the series. A lot of adjustments for SMB in game four that worked that gave them the big win so i think they will do the same in game 5. On a side note, I do hope that Poy Erram is okay and could play in the next game. He was brought to the hospital for check up for that apparent head injury he sustain colliding with Mo. |

in some bookies, it is only 5x now for herring. but bitsler is listing it as 6x. not bad for those who want to bet on him. that's a very good winning in case herring will win. herring has more experience and a good record also. so wondering why bookies are siding heavily on shakur with the odds. is that because of the age factor? but it has been proven that age is just a number in a lot of boxing matches in the previous years. anyway, for those who are rooting for herring, this is a very good chance for you to multiply your bet in case he will win this match.
Bookies have placed Shakur Stevenson as the favorite maybe because of age and a bit of disparity in talent, I mean Shakur is now groomed to be one of Top Rank's cash cows being an olympian there is always hype on him. Tau has his night towering inside a good working play for him and Fajardo, while Romeo and Santos got a good shooting hand from the Arc. All the veterans contribute well today. If you see SMB playing like that, you will see how this series will end. Tied again and now they moving to the last three games. And, Magnolia as expected, no Alamzan they've been abused by Sangalang and Abueva inside. This series will end much earlier. The domination of Magnolia is far superior against the Bolts. It was a lucky day for me, not a big win but winning a parlay is good as it does not come everyday. I'm looking forward to another win of SMB and I think they will break the trend in game 5 and they will beat the TNT to have a lead in the best of 7 series. I am sure that Magnolia will win and they win it easily although Meralco was able to close the gap in the 4th quarter it was not enough to complete a comeback. Congrats mate, that's a good win. Seeing game 3 I thought that TNT got SMB's number and thought that SMB would be struggling still in game 4 so i bet for TNT, I should have stick to the belief of some users that PBA is rigged and this series would go to game 7 lol. I will go against the unpopular opinion here, I will go with Wilder to win (either by KO or by decision).
Maybe he already move on and has enough time to rethink what went wrong with the second fight and all the excuses he gave us. Maybe his new trainer has formulated a game plan that they can follow to the T and win the fight. Maybe Fury will not be the same because of the effects of Covid.
Same here, Wider by decision is too temping to bet @18 so I set aside a few dollars for this market and few dollars for Wilder by KO as well. Cojuangco group already has one team heading to the Finals, and that is the Magnolia as they are dominating the Bolts although they loss in game 3. No Almazan yet I guess, so Magnolia might make an adjustment again, and if refs are not against Magnolia tonight, they can easily beat the undermanned Meralco Bolts.
Yup, Almazan is a big loss to the Bolts and they can't win the series without him. So with that, i'm rooting for the Hotshot this game 4 as they can't allow the Bolts to even the series and bring that confidence back, Magnolia -3.5 @1.97 boosted. SMB vs TNT, I have doubt on this now, it's probably TNT will advance, so I don't want to get hype with what the fans are thinking now.

There's a rumor that there is an internal conflict between Casimero and his management team, the MP Promotions. If only MPP did participate on the purse bid then somehow the money that will go to Casimero would likely be bigger than this. It's just awkward that there is only one promotional company (Probellum) that participated in that bid.
Though Casimero will get a 70% share of the pie i think that's too small for setting up for training camp, pay for hotels, and airfare as words had it that he will be on his own for this fight unless things with his boss will be iron out.
I do hope that this rumour is not true. We all know how supportive MP specially on fighters like Casimero. Yeah, as I have said before, even if he gets the lion share, still very small and there could be -30% of the paycheck or even higher. That's why I asked the question of whether he should accept the fight or not. Nevertheless he has everything to lose if he decided not to so he should go and keep on winning. I follow his social media account to get updates from him directly bro and with that matter, he said on Facebook that he will not give up the belt and he will take this fight. The good thing is, it is campaigning time for the presidential election and I don't think Manny will turn his back on him as votes from the Casimero family will turn to waste if he does that lol. Lets watch the second game: SMB VS. TNT . Here we go again, looks like I already see this scenario where TNT leads in the 1st half but they will allow SMB to roar back in the 2nd half. So far, TNT has a good double-digit lead but the result is always unpredictable because we can't conclude yet that SMB will not come back anymore. Very similar in game 2, 25-41 is the score now, TNT has been dominating so far but we know that SMB is a good 2nd half team, so we should watch out for the bounce back in the 2nd half. I guess I will put my bet on SMB to win in the 3rd quarter as TNT would not give everything they have so they still have energy left in the 4th quarter which is the quarter that they lost in game 2. End of the first half and TNT lead by 12 points as usual. SMB can't play catch-up basketball every time, they should make it a close game as long as possible and not down by two-digit. Odds for SMB is 3.20 at the moment, attractive for those who believe the Beermen could catch up with the Katropa in the second half. |

Well not hopefully, Alamzan should suit up. If not, they'll be eaten by Magnolia. Hodge can't contain Abueva at most, and in return Abueva is just toying Hodge. Plus, Sangalang and Lee on the other hand are getting the the deal done. In addition, Abueva still contributing on the scoring as well plus his effort on the defensive side. Magnolia right now, is quite a scary team, to be honest, or it's just that Meralco lacks the manpower to overthrow Magnolia?
I agree, Magnolia is a scary team at the moment with the addition of Calvin Abueva and it seems that they are going to sweep the Bolts even with Almazan around. Frontcourt and backcourt, Magnolia Hotshots have the advantage IMO so Magnolia -3.5 @1.88 is attractive for me and it's my pick for today's first game. It's not that Bolts lacks the manpower but the skill level of its roster is just below that of the hotshot so getting a single win in this series is just a hard thing for them to do right now. |

Romero though has been calling Davis in social media, so maybe it's time to shut the mouth of this rising prospect. Good money fight for him though, at least even if he losses, he will have a good payday.
But as others said, chances are, Romero will be put to sleep here, maybe an uppercut similar to what Davis gave to LSC.
I'm speculating a late knockout win by Davis but he should not be overconfident as Romero could hurt him if ever he catches him off guard. Paul Lee has a lesser burden now because he has Abueva who provides energy in the floor. Meralco has no chance to beat the Magnlio, they have been dominated already in the last 2 games.

We saw that, that's why he delivers more because the defense is not only focused on him. Meralco is now on the brink of elimination, one loss and everything will be gone for them ( at least they should not expect to come back from 3-0 deficit). Therefore, they have to give everything they have and they can in game 3, it should be considered as a win or go home game for them. No excuse for them, game 3 is a must-win game, if they lose, then consider this as the series over. The other match-up is more fun, SMB came back from a huge deficit in order to even the series, and now it's only a best of 5 series, and game 1 and game 2 were really entertaining. As of now, no odds are available yet but expect tonight it will be open. This series is less competitive than the other. Bolts will be swept if Almazan won't suit up for tomorrow's game as Cliff Hodge will be abuse by Calvin Abueva and Jackson Corpuz down low. It's only the TNT Katropa of the MVP group of companies who got a chance for the trophy. If we based our bet for the 3rd game of SMB and TNT on the previous games then betting for TNT is more likely will give us the win for our money if the spread moves in favor of TNT like 2.5 or 3.5. Odds are not out yet and if ever bookies will give odds like above as speculated then i might go with the Katropa. |

Both the fighters are statistically so good. Gaballo (24-0, 20 KO) will fight Donaire (41-6, 27 knockouts). I would have to say that Gaballo has a very good knockout ratio than Donaire, but also Donaire is a good technical fighter. Donaire has the experience and Gaballo has the KO'ing ability. I'm so eager for this match and I'm rooting for Donaire, maybe he can give Gaballo the first taste of defeat.
That's what I've noticed with their records and I think that these two can really show a good match up. It's an interesting match if Gaballo wins then he'll put a record for defeating Donaire, a strong fighter. While on the other hand, if Donaire beats him, yeah he'll taste the very first defeat of his record career. There's always that possibility that Donaire will hand Gaballo his first loss in professional boxing as the former is too experience and have to battle big names in the ring in the past but with his youth and raw power, Donaire should not take Gaballo for granted as this kind of fighter is very dangerous in this kind of situation as they want to carve their name with a spectacular win over a more popular boxer. So this is an interesting match but does anyone knows that this is a go? I mean, do they already have the schedule for this fight? |
