I am very surprised that no one here has bought votes at https://www.cryptsy.com/coinvotes I read a lot of complaining in this thread about the price going down from lack of interest. Don't you know it needs to hit bigger exchanges to generate more interest? That's not the only thing of course and yes, people are helping promoting this coin in other ways for sure. But it NEEDS to hit Cryptsy at least. I have personally bought the last 100 votes and was planning on buying more, but I see that no one here in this community is willing to chip in. Very disappointing. If 100 of us all bought a measly 0.02 btc worth of votes (like I have already done), we would add 10,000 votes to cryptsy and be at 6th place already. Last time they added 4 coins so just think about it, we would almost be added at that point. But like 95% of you aren't taking any action and instead sitting back, complaining, and doing nothing but watching this coin die. That's sad, so please I beg you do a little work and give up a little. Bribe Cryptsy and all other exchanges, tell your friends about Coino, stop posting anything negative, and stop selling off your coin for cheap. Please! Just pondering Hey, They're looking into it, indeed, but it was unclear which source was the correct one. I will PM them with you in the reply. I think yours was before the fork. Edit: I checked it and the source you gave was from before a fork that happened, so they could not use it. Via a running pool, I was able to get access to the correct source and they're looking into it now. The DGW was in the enhanced version of Switchboard, but it did not work because there was a mistake in block height I believe. For now, first priority is to get the original source up and running. Please consider adding 66 coin, not really dead but I've been trying to revive the comunity for the past 6 weeks, we have been screwed by cryptorush twice (we were listed there), price was on the rise and so was network hashrate, now some of us have coins stuck there, we'll see if they get restored! Interest is already on the rise and hashrate is slowly getting restored, development active (I have taken development over a while ago, after seeing that the coin was abandoned), we're running polls, giveaways, had a new forum and a new exchange added in just the past week! What we need help with is marketing, advertising and getting accepted as a payment method somewhere!That's an interesting coin, indeed. Would you be willing to contribute to the foundation in general with your revival skills? Your coin might be one of the upcoming coins selected. Do you have ownership of the github? Sorry for late reply, was a busy day yesterday for me, yes I have ownership of the new github (most people already know to get it from there). I also got shared privileges on facebook from a member of the community and the password to their twitter, but the website is out of my control and has not been updated in months. I also have moderator privileges on new forum and cryptocointalk! I would help with other coins especially if someone else took some of the burden of me, it's a lot to maintain all those forums and twitter and facebook and to send a mail/private message to every service we have everytime I make an update to the wallet! I'd prefer to be on the code writing part of things and let the social stuff to be handled by someone else! It would be great if we could have a network to let things like that run much smoother indeed. Also things like github and coin websites would be much easier if we would work together. What are your specific skills? C/C++, I know some php but totally hate working with it, I can fix coins, update wallets and implement new features. But the social side of things is killing me. I also have a server rented where I run my pool and may get additional ones if needed to host websites, but I will not administer the sites, don't have the time for it and I'm really slow on that part! I don't understand exactly what you do, but GPU coin is a scrypt-N coin (so the asics won't kill it and multipools wont rape it),
and the dev has been AWOL. It has a huge following over 400 pages, maybe 500 pages of people wanting this coin
to be promoted.

Fair enough but think of all the customers whos btc are locked away in there right now while all these price fluctuations have been happening and all the people who had to lose 10-30% of their capital because they had to buy overpriced altcoins to get their funds out, not to mention they were using customer funds to pump coins on their site to ultimately (again) rip off their customers. It's so bizzare to me that people want to 'save shamed exchanges' rather than just starting from scratch elsewhere with a clean slate, talk about making life hard for yourself and you do this in the knowledge that these rip off merchants could just rip you off too? Is this not the very definition of insanity? The mind boggles to think that there are people out there willing to actually 'volunteer' <-- (at the expense of their own time, effort and resources) to help them  Simply astounding. If those poor executives at enron published a btc address I'm sure they'd find some people willing to donate too no doubt. Any way that's my rant over, back to quarkbar It would be nice to have exchanges that invest more in security. If you look at most of their volumes and their low fees, I think their income is simply too low, to secure such large amounts of money. |
