hello i mined but without market is not posible survived. We're still in the early stages of Frycoin in amount of coins mined, so during this dry spell of coins, we will keep it alive. We're planning a redistribution of coins to get more people interested. Are you still mining? |

Lol, quarkbar would never recover, imagine if bitcoin did that  You cray cray Jonesd  Who you calling cray cray, boy?  DOGE actually made their coin amount infinite (to mixed success).  It's about keeping the chain alive when you cannot mint new coins anymore. We still have coins for about two more years. We can expand that by implementing PULSE and slowing down the blockchain according to the amount of transactions. We'll be fine for probably ten more years with that. |

Rebrand with a swap would be a good idea
We have thought about swapping way back, but went against it because it is a lot of work to organize and likely to have a lot of people that find out about it too late and will be disgruntled. We can however think about expanding the amount of coins for example. Read My lips, No New coins!  hehe |

I have contacts in the entertainment industry and have cobbled some thoughts for crypto utilization, whether it is QB or another for that matter. I do like QB’s longevity and algo, I believe it is all really a matter of implementation.
Thoughts on integration/use. Promote the use of QB for entertainment venue purchases, i.e. ticket sales, food and beverage and event merchandise.
This would be the pinnacle of use evolution and will take time and require an incentive for consumers to use QB.
Incentive to use could be derived from perceived discounts ...example 15-20% discount on purchases using QB vs USD at current market rates. This is easily manipulated by overpricing actual retail in USD. This is only one example.
Another approach is to utilize sponsorship monies to bridge a discount gap....i.e...QB gives discount (10-20% vs USD) and in turn affiliates with an event/product sponsor, part of sponsor monies go to purchase QB on market, effectively boosting market value and returning discounted percentage. There are easier ways to do this type of value exchange but the point is to create market support.
Consumers will want a platform that is easy to use. Most people don't own Bitcoin let alone know how to get it. So I say skip that step when it comes to paying with QB. Example:
"Pay with USD $20.....Pay with QB $17.50"
Obviously consumers will want to pay less in USD, the format they are familiar with. This is where the perception comes in on a consumer level, unlike you or I would see it, BTC/QB market comparison. We really only need to get $17.50 for our product, but if they want to pay in USD then fine, our gain.
The point is to get consumers, on a transactional level, to not really think about using a crypto as payment, the concept is still too foreign. That is like me paying you with wheat futures, its an equivalent transaction but too much thinking.
This integration/illusion could likely be done through (and I'm not a programmer so pardon me if I'm wrong) an internal live api market app USD/BTC/QB running in background at all points of sale keeping profit margins intact by adjusting pricing as necessary should it fall out of line. This can also create a sense of "I better buy now before the price changes."
On the BTC market side QB could gain public interest through any and all of it's venue participation by having trade, value and asset promotion links and market info available, that is to those that would have further questions/interest.
Rebranding and /or forking may also be an option to provide specialized shares for target market venues/products…. environmental conscious product/service….donation/cause based...special event...etc…
Just some grease for the thinking wheels...post or contact me directly if this is something that makes sense.
Very interesting points that make a lot of sense. We have been working on a market, but we are aware that a lot of effort would be needed to make the market itself popular. Thinking about your points, it would perhaps be a less arduous road if we would try to work together with a website where loyal costumers get Quarkbar as a loyalty point. These points can be used later on to get discounts on products. It would be a cheap tool for the website to boost consumer loyalty and would increase the amount of trading of the coin. What would you think of something like that? I'm open to any number of ideas.... What are your thoughts on the website content that would attract or facilitate use? I am sure there are many ways to go about generating use and anyone here is encouraged to brainstorm along...there are no wrong ideas or answers I was thinking of trying to persuade a website to use our currency as costumer loyalty points. This way people can get used to it. They can use these points for discounts and other advantages. |

Big boost in value on Allcoin yesterday. I bought some of these at 100-500 sat, and sold some of them at 1998 last night. I would think a whale is buying up large quantities of these, so will keep them in my pocket for now. More than 1.5 BTC was bought yesterday!
Back to the glory days of 20,000 SAT?

Well, at this rate it's going to be weeks until my wallet syncs. I'll wait until there's a fix to this issue. Could just need more nodes, but I've been running my PC two days straight, and I'm still not synced.
We have an absolute disaster on the network. I'm trying to sort it out but I'm being slammed by everything else right now. I think I will be able to work on this in a couple of days (Wednesday). These problems hit at the worst possible time for me. My wallets are stuck too. I'll get the network humming as soon as I can. Just hang in there. Thanks for your continued effort. We're still working on Pulse and hopefully can release that in a while. For now, we also want ot focus on getting the word out! We don't believe it will work to just tag along some hypes, but we will include new features if we think they are really attributing to the value of the coin. Features like ANON and PoS have not kept up. It's the coins with the strong user base that survive. The current low value is the first thing we want to fix, because it makes no sense to value the strongest Quarkbased coin so low. What would you like to see? Sounds great. I just wanted to make sure I have not missed anything. If you follow me at all you know I dont want anything specific right now because my plate is full. I still hold all my QB.
