2502  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What do you think is the most surprising thing in the History of Bitcoin? on: March 09, 2019, 07:47:13 AM
One of the remarkable history of bitcoin is being accepted by Silk Road and later get seized by FBI. It was one of the greatest promotion for bitcoin.
This had a bad affect too. People had heard about it for the first time had an impression that bitcoin is a currency for buying/selling illegal goods.
2503  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Meet Than and Then on: March 07, 2019, 03:25:40 PM
The reason why they're always having mistakes is that they don't care about it, they just want the post to be counted in the bounty.
Sorry that I can't agree. The subconscious mind sometimes influences you to make some mistakes which can never be realized without further reading. In that case, it's not a problem with bounty.
2504  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: STO vs. ICO - What is the difference? on: March 06, 2019, 11:32:18 AM
ICO refers to Initial Coin Offering which can be done by anyone through creating a new coin/token. ICO doesn't require to comply with laws and regulations and doesn't require to be backed up by some company.
STO refers to Security Token Offering which must be backed up by an established company/organization and STO must have to comply with all the laws and regulations.
2505  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Number of full nodes since 2015 on: March 05, 2019, 07:18:25 AM
Yes, it's normal. Few things that makes sync long :
1. You use HDD which causes bottleneck (applies if you have fast connection)
2. Your internet connection is slow
3. You use very old or barebone PC (such as Raspberry PI) which causes bottleneck on CPU/RAM
I will use an external disk. My PC configuration is updated, at least not a barebone PC. I think those will cope up the possibility of being sync long. I'm using 5 mbps broadband connection. So, I am all in all okay with the requirements.
Back in 2018, before joining this forum, it seems impossible running a full node to me. After all, being used to is the best way to learn a lot of things. Thank you anyway.

Thank you, everyone, who showed interest. I have managed it from another forum. I will send you PM later when I have to have sent again. Locking this thread now.
2507  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Number of full nodes since 2015 on: March 03, 2019, 04:10:48 PM
The fear that all people possess when downloading a full-node wallet is the size of the data, and therefore the need for more storage space, fast internet connection, and unlimited bandwidth.

You can indicate how to reduce the space by enabling pruning and downloading the entire Blockchain to an external disk.
I have been using 1 terabyte harddisk but none of the drive is more than 400 gb. I will purchase an external disk on the weekend and use it to download the entire blockchain.
When I run bitcoin core, it says 5 days will be required to sync, is that normal?
2508  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Meet Than and Then on: March 03, 2019, 05:29:46 AM
At some point, I understand why they're confused about these words, but I don't think it's enough to be a reason to make a constant mistake.
These types of mistakes are most likely occured accidentally. People with good commands in grammer most often do these types of mistakes too. One requires to be too much concerned to avoid these types of mistakes while writing in a forum. People participating in forum always write in a hurry and do some these types of mistakes.
2509  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Mining Sites on: March 03, 2019, 04:56:06 AM
Here is a bitcoin mining site. Go check it out http://www.freebiebitcoin.com
You have joined the forum right now and shared a mining site. I highly doubt you are the owner of this site as well as your site is probably a scam site.

I recommend OP to follow what odolvlobo said. Directly purchase bitcoin and that will be a better idea. I can assure you more than 99% of these mining sites are scam.
2510  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best way to pay newbie with bitcoin? on: March 03, 2019, 04:36:17 AM
Payza used to allow people to deposit bitcoin and convert it into fiat but now Payza has turned into scam or probably closed their service. You can try perfectmoney. It doesn't require a lot of stuffs in order to convert it into fiat provided that the amount isn't a bigger one.
2511  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Number of full nodes over since 2015 on: March 03, 2019, 04:05:06 AM
Unfortunately i don't use a core wallet, since in my country it would be impossible.
Have you referred to China? I am concerned at all about countries restricted core wallet. Would appreciate if you share some countries. I have tried to learn about it on google but didn't find anything. Can you list some countries here?
2512  Other / Beginners & Help / Number of full nodes since 2015 on: March 02, 2019, 02:24:01 PM
What is bitcoin full node?
I already have once written an article on what is a full node. I will quote this here.
]Full Node
If you understand what does it mean by the word "Full", you should probably have guessed now what is full node. Full node denotes to a wallet where the users have to have downloaded the whole blockchain. If we are talking about running a full node for bitcoin, you must have to have downloaded all the previous transaction list. We usually call it synchronization. You have to download the whole bitcoin transaction record from the beginning, block 1 to until the up to date block. It will probably require you to have more than 400 gb free space on your disk. If you are using a wallet which asks you to download all the block, you are running a full node.
Another easy definition of Full Node- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5111493.msg49814296#msg49814296

Why should we use bitcoin full node?
Benefits are a lot, some are your personal benefits and some for the bitcoin network.

Personal Benefits:
1. You have the full control over your fund.
2. No intermediary.
3. You are trusting yourself, your funds are secured.

Benefits for bitcoin network:
1. Verifying bitcoin transactions, blocks and their height, hash etc.
2. More decentralized network.
3. Less or no chance of altering data.

This is one of the discussions from which I came to know about the benefits of running bitcoin full nodes- https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/7n62qf/why_should_you_run_a_full_node/

Number of active full nodes right now- 10405* (Source- https://coin.dance/nodes)

Historic numbers of full bitcoin nodes since August 2015 (Range- 4 months)
Amount in Thousand

By observing the above graph, we can come to the conclusion that Bitcoin full nodes have been increasing significantly since last years. At the beginning of 2018, the change was notable. It's good for the network obviously and in the future, we can expect a huge growth of bitcoin full nodes.

My thoughts
I have decided to set up a full node for my personal benefits as well as helping the total community. What's your thought? I would love to hear.
2513  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Which are some good instant exchange that does not require login? on: March 02, 2019, 06:43:00 AM
Try Currency Exchange section of the forum. I believed you already know how to deal with person to person trades so no need for such an advice.

If you are in process to do this on forum, I encourage you to use escrow, otherwise, you probably will be scammed. Escrow will charge you a few bucks but guarantee you the safe deal.
2514  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much Bitcoin will be circulated within 2030? on: March 02, 2019, 06:17:22 AM
You refer to Bitcoin's mining production, not the Bitcoin daily circulation. Once every four years, Bithoin's mining production halves. Thus, in 2020, the half will be 6.25 BTC, and the next half will be in 2024. Thus, in 2024 there will be 3.125BTC.
This has been mentioned several times in this discussion. I have to lock this thread now.
2515  Local / Marketplace (India) / Re: Paytm for BTC on: March 02, 2019, 05:18:14 AM

2516  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: ZERO profit is better than lose ! on: March 02, 2019, 04:56:59 AM
I wanna add here the paypal charge back option too which I have faced back in 2018. I have seen some people looking for exchanging paypal into BTC. Be careful my dear mates. I don't know how the exchanges go here but you probably will sometimes be the victim of charge back if you exchange paypal with BTC or other currency when you gonna take paypal from a newbie who don't have a good exchange history here.
2517  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What determines the newbie experience when they first come to bitcoin? on: March 02, 2019, 04:50:00 AM
I have been introduced with bitcoin via one of my clients. I have been translating some websites into my local for some years. Sometimes I was asked to take bitcoin as payment but I never tried it mostly because I was not familiar with it at all. Later, one of my clients whom I am still serving offered me to pay via bitcoin and explained shortly a little bit about bitcoin. Which I liked the most about it is the irreversible transaction. You know I have faced charge back once using paypal and that's why I liked the irreversible option. Later, I had a deeper look into it and started to accept bitcoin. Now, I am getting more interested into it. Learning about it regularly and writting some stuffs about bitcoin in my local language too.
2518  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is there a site showing price of crypto compared to btc/$ value at specific day? on: March 01, 2019, 04:35:44 AM
For example, if you bought 1 ETH on Dec 8, 2017, it was worth 0.0282 BTC when you bought it. Today it is worth 0.357 BTC.
You mean 0.0357, don't you? I doubt anyone will consider the price against BTC only because BTC had price decreased too.
2519  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much Bitcoin will be circulated within 2030? on: March 01, 2019, 04:18:03 AM
I feel it's a very lame question.it's not possible for anyone to predict the situation of bitcoin on 2030.we even don't know bitcoin will survive then or not.I rhink we shouldn't waste time thinking on this subject. Let's survive till 2030 first then think about btc.
Didn't you check the replies after the OP? It's possible to predict and people have shared the info even. About survival, why do you think BTC will not survive till 2030? For me, it will survive because it has reduced a lot of lengthy process of transferring money, it's decentralized, you are free to use whenever or whatever.
Reason on your argument?
2520  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much Satoshi Nakamoto's Bitcoin Worth? on: February 25, 2019, 12:21:19 PM
