...

Yes, that was just for testing purposes, have a sense of humor, willya - however, I will actually follow through if I can sell the specified amount of those test shares.

These are probably worth quite a bit of money now if they are still around...

It would mean the BTC outputs they were created with haven't moved since 2013, so there's slim chance.

Nevertheless.
2502  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANNOUNCE] CoinDaddy - Crypto 2.0 Asset Services on: July 02, 2022, 11:09:02 AM
Thx for the bump. I'll focus a bit more on marketing the site once I finish out the additional services I am building. Prolly another month or so.

Hi J-Dog any plans to launch Coindaddy services for Dogeparty now that its a thing again?

I just discovered this via Google and feel it needs a friendly bump.

Wow, the time Bruno bumped a thread about Counterparty/Dogeparty stuff. Historical!
2503  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: UnoParty Testnet is up on: July 02, 2022, 10:06:12 AM
UNO Party is continuing its fast progress.  More than 100 assets have been created on the Uno Testnet.
The leader of the UnoParty effort, @bitwize, has arrange for the top Counterparty asset explorer to include UnoParty!  This is a big deal because it normalizes UnoParty interactions and api's for creators familiar with CounterParty and other forks like DogeParty. It will make it much easier for those communities to also create assets on UnoParty.  Check it out and see what UnoParty makers are experimenting with on Unobtanium's testnet.

I know my post here is a bit late but this is really cool man, congrats, gonna find some time to test it out soon.
2504  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Keep an eye on Dogeparty: on: July 02, 2022, 10:03:26 AM
More features will be added to Dogeparty (such as DEX and probably smart contracts).

Dogeparty is very cheap to use and it used Proof of burn to issue the coins.

Fast-forward over 7.5 years later and everything promised in Dogeparty has come true!

If anyone is interested in creating their own NFT on the Dogecoin blockchain for super cheap, I recommend checking out

https://www.dogeparty.net

and download the Dogewallet.

Dogeparty was brought back to life in September of last year and has been kicking butt in the form of Rare Doges and vintage assets, some of which have sold (in wrapped form) on OpenSea for as much as 2 ETH.

I'm willing to provide first-time wallet installers with 0.5 XDP, which is the XDP cost to mint a named token. Unnamed tokens can me minted for free, minus the 1 DOGE tx fees. Just PM me and I'll send it to you.
2505  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitDNS in the words of satoshi on: July 01, 2022, 05:46:21 AM
Am bumping this thread because there are claims coming from some self-described "NFT Historians" that Satoshi not only created BitDNS but the technology behind "the first NFTs," which they say are Namecoin names/IDs.

As far as I know, Satoshi did not contribute to the technical development of BitDNS or Namecoin but rather proposed an outline of an idea of how it could work.

I know its a hail mary to ask for anyone who might have been around at the time to chime in but I would like to get their opinions on the subject of whether or not Satoshi created BitDNS or the "first NFTs."

Would be great to hear from @theymos since he "worked" on BitDNS even before Satoshi!

Nanotube and I have been working on a DNS spec that is quite similar to yours. We had hoped to have a private RFC period, but since your proposal is so close, we decided to just publish what we have now.

How we all doing?

ZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzz

you?

Good, and you?

Hey fellas. Not too bad, all things considered. Was away for awhile. Had a few drinks, saw a few things...

I believe what the current situation boils down to is:

There's a lot of uncertainty right now but the one thing I'm sure of is the fundamentals of what we believe in haven't changed.

The only thing that has changed is macroeconomic conditions. Bitcoin has only ever lived in a bull stonk market until now. So is this a broader correction or something deeper? Let's hope its the former.
2507  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.8 Required Update on: June 30, 2022, 11:43:50 AM
Hi all. Just wanted to point out that Dogeparty is back alive and well. It was retooled and brought back to life in September of last year, and I've been doing stuff with it the entire time I was away from the forum!

Needless to say the market hasn't been cooperating for some time, but if you're interested in minting your own NFTs on the Dogecoin blockchain for super cheap, I recommend checking it out!

https://www.dogeparty.net

Feel free to ask me any questions about it, here or in the official Dogeparty thread.

Quoted the post below for some reference to Dogeparty's history.

Dogeparty Hangout #10 - MAKING GAME TOKENS AND ITEMS USING DOGEPARTY

...

This hangout will orient itself around the concept of creating new tokens for use in games. The definition of "tokens" may be in-game currencies, in-game items, and so on. We will lead Hangout participants through various scenarios in which they may want to do this, highlighting the interesting possibilities inherent to cryptographically securing such things, and making them fungible. Some minor technical examples will follow, basically utilizing the CP/DP API and showing how quickly a developer can get up and running with it.

I see you love to dig forum for old posts, you must know a lot of crypto currencies.

There's a lot of hidden treasures buried in this forum. I'm gonna start a thread asking people to post their favorite old threads.

You didn't make it.

Still never made that thread, other people did, but I thought it was an appropriate time to bump this one.

I would agree that selling some of your 50k bitcoins is actually a smart move. Being too greedy can leave you with nothing.

Wonder if he kept any of them. Is keeping bitcoins considered "greedy" these days?

This thread should be revisited in Jan 2018.  Grin

In retrospect, that would have been amazingly astute timing.
2510  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DOGE fees still low. on: June 30, 2022, 04:32:26 AM
Fast-forward 5 years:

Dogecoin fees are still low!

Elon was mocked for this tweet in May of last year:

but he actually made good on his promise, and it manifested in the form of a massive reduction of fees.

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/dogecoin-doge-fee-reduction-upgrade-220940366.html

Basically, you can send txs with fees as little as 0.01 DOGE now, though 0.02 DOGE is recommended. This makes transacting far cheaper than BTC and far, far cheaper than ETH.

With a decent distribution, solid backers and a committed development team, the future of DOGE is perhaps brighter now than it ever was.

More shitty updates soon.
2512  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [announce] Namecoin - a distributed naming system based on Bitcoin on: November 08, 2021, 02:42:27 AM
I did something similar to test them. They seem alright. Now I keep a good chunk of my NMC there for trading the swings and accumulating more. I also use their charts for most of my analysis for trading other coins.

OK then I won't convert to something withdrawable in panic, especially now that we're at a nice little loss. I just wanted to have 100 NMC. But then the wallet broke before I could get all of them.

If anybody wants to do a trade, 100 NMC for +5% market rate, payable in BTC or DOGE. Please feel free to PM me. I'll probably insist that you send first. Thanks.

@hilariousanco You are obviously incapable of acting independent of years-long grudges. This was true about you years ago. To be honest with you, nobody is capable of that. It's part of human nature so I forgive you.

However, this type of situation highlights how stale and inefficient the current moderators are. And if theymos agrees with them, then him as well. It highlights the need for fresh blood and someone capable of examining issues from other angles, which hilarious obviously cannot do.

Here I am clearly trying to perform a good deed for no other reason than not wanting to see people not get scammed. You move my thread at the behest of a scammer. I change my topic to "follow the rules" and IN YOUR DISCRETION you move it back.

If you end up banning me over this, it will prove every assumption I made as true.

In a serious note, it would not look good that in a sticky thread there is an advertisement. Common-sense brother.

Again, you're a step late following the logic of the discussion. I only added the "advertisement" part to make it an on-topic thread. I would of course remove it if the thread was stickied.
2515  Other / Meta / Re: Some members are more priviledged than others? on: November 05, 2021, 08:47:19 PM
Everything can be made easier for everyone if we can divide in into two separate topics. The quoted part can be a separate topic in the currency exchange board and everything else are well qualified for reputation section.

Sorry but why is it so hard to grasp that moving the topic anywhere other than Currency Exchange DEFEATS THE PURPOSE OF THE ENTIRE TOPIC.

People who just check that section for deals and don't even create an account would NEVER think to check ANYWHERE. That's why the thread exists!!

Sticky the thread to Currency Exchange. Problem solved.

Ladies & Gentlemen I present to you the first in a series of original, hand-drawn artwork set against assets minted in August 2014, less than one year after the launch of the Dogecoin blockchain.

Introducing

GOLDENSHIBE

https://imgur.com/a/DYtzoi6
https://dogeparty.xchain.io/asset/GOLDENSHIBE

Minted in block 337,201 (August 2014), GOLDENSHIBE was created with an initial supply of 1,000 tokens.

Those who participate in the first dispenser round can pick them up for 15 DOGE each:

https://dogeparty.xchain.io/tx/e19cb6ae053abaf1f90a4461361d310f057364cbcde00d8ef0228e2062c97245

The price of GOLDENSHIBE will go up to 20 DOGE after this initial lot of 200 have been sold.

EDIT: SOLD OUT IN 4 HOURS
2517  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [announce] Namecoin - a distributed naming system based on Bitcoin on: November 05, 2021, 02:06:42 AM
Any of you guys have much experience with CoinEx? They are by far the biggest market for NMC. So I made a deposit, did the trade, requested a withdrawal and then... sat and waited. And waited some more. After 5 hours I contacted support. They said I needed to re-do my email verification, so I did it, and sure enough the withdrawal went through.

That was encouraging enough to do a second deposit and now the NMC wallet is "down for maintenance."

Was I their only real NMC customer and its all fake volume or whats going on over there?
2518  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Shitcoin 3.0 - ALIVE AGAIN IN 2021 - Claim Your Shitstribution on: November 05, 2021, 12:01:50 AM
I have a dilemma. Is it appropriate to report shitposts in a literal shitcoin thread?

That post I don't mind so much because it documents my road warrior map in case I try to be sneaky and change it later on. The other garbage can be nuked away as this isn't any 'ol Shitcoin we're discussing here.

Suchmoon I'm afraid I can't let you go on as a no-shitcoiner. After you've received 1 million shitcoins there will be no way to mistake you from the hoardes of no-shitcoining wannabes trying to ride the shitcoin wave. Please send me a personal Dogecoin address before I find one from your past and send it there, thanks.

Just think of all the great accusations that will arise after I've made you a Full Partner at Shitcoin 3.0 Enterprises.
2519  Other / Meta / Re: Some members are more priviledged than others? on: November 04, 2021, 07:38:15 PM
@mprep
@hilariousandco

Stop moving my topic. Since you're so big on everybody following the rules, please follow them yourselves and READ the OP of the thread you keep moving. You will see I am seeking to perform a cryptocurrency exchange with trusted forum members.

A scammer asks you to jump through holes for them.

You oblige.

I jump through the same set of holes.

You continue to help the scammer.

Why?

Edit: a reasonable compromise would be making it a Sticky thread in the Currency Exchange section.
