Btw Muhammed , wanted to ask you . Did he mentioned on what forum he is gone ? just wondering , I'am not a stocker  Cheesy

He never mentioned being gone, but if you look at his profile it says that his last login date was January 21 2015, which means he hasn't been online since then.

Yes, you can make a whatsapp with this, as for verifying eBay, I've never tried it myself, but it should work.

Well, it's a great way for newbies to get their hands on their first satoshis. Also, if you manage to somehow get a lot of referrals, you can get a decent amount.
a better way is to sign up to a campaign , and at the same time be able to actually learn something new at the same time , at a faucet you simply type random captcha's

You would make more at a faucet then at a newbie signature campaign, so that's why newbies go to faucets.

2508  Other / Meta / Re: User spamming the question: Do you accept escrow? on: February 12, 2015, 06:27:21 PM
Many people are creating accounts here to pump them and sell later when rank goes up.
It is clear that he is spamming to pump up the post count.
New accounts should be restricted about new posts idk, like a month or so, by limiting them to 5 posts per day or so.
You cannot just come and post anything. It aint rite. I would like to be a Hero member too and to gain a bunch of BTCBTCBTC per month, but I dont want to spam or bother with spammy content. Community is about to be social. Being social? Well, search about it.

We don't need a post count limit, as rank is determined by your activity, and you can only get up to 14 activity in 2 weeks, regardless of your post count.
2509  Other / Meta / Re: Bipolarbob on: February 12, 2015, 04:31:52 AM
Very interestingly a search for BPB reveals his main account and a bipolarbob2. I am not sure why anyone would want to impersonate him when he is giving money away

I don't think it's BPB's alt. A person can impersonate as BPB for loans or anything other. It's quite simple to understand 'why'.

   -MZ
The "why" would be to try to scam someone, however it should be even more obvious that it is not really him because he pretty much never asks for anything.

I don't think he usually is away from the forum for this long, it has almost been two weeks, I hope he is okay

Bipolarbob has been away before for longer amounts of time, but I hope that he is OK top.

If anyone is interested, someone interviewed bipolarbob. He doesn't say much though, as he prefers to stay private.

Would there be any possibility that he has some connections with just-dice? Huh

   -MZ

He could have been some kind of early investor in just-dice, and just-dice is now paying him back well. Quite possible.
2512  Other / Meta / Re: How to get an "Avatar" on: February 12, 2015, 02:42:23 AM
Thanks for sharing the code but for me using a picture would be better rather than an avatar. There is no harm if one uploads a picture directly and so no clue why this forum does not allow it.

They don't allow it because someone used that to hack the forum some time ago, I think. : /
So for now we have text avatars! xD

One can hack a forum uploading an avatar picture?

Yeah, one time someone found an exploit where he embed javascript (I think) code into a picture which he used for his avatar, and the javascript took the forum down.

I have contacted bitmedia.io and reported the bug to them, there email is currently broken so I put a new site for approval with the name "publishingisbroken.com" and a description of the bug, one of there team has got back to me and thanked me for the report and said it'll fixed soon,

I've just been informed that it should be fixed already.

okay, thanks..., Smiley
will waiting for that... Smiley

You should already be able to create new ad blocks Smiley

Great, thanks! I am now able to create ad blocks. All good! Smiley
2515  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitmedia.io Help on: February 11, 2015, 03:00:04 AM
I already approved, but not a publisher, it said I must waiting for a couple days to be publisher. But till now I don't receive any confirmation yet..., Sad

Just keep checking over the next few days, they will accept you. The problem is that creating ad blocks so you can publish bitmedia ads on your website doesn't work.  Undecided
2516  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitmedia.io Help on: February 11, 2015, 02:51:39 AM

Subject: Temporary inconveniences but everything is under control
To: name.name@gmail.com

Good Day!

Greetings, dear users of BitMedia.IO!

It’s a big pleasure to work with you, to be on the same track as a team, to build and develop our product and make the world a little bit better!

As you can see today we had some difficulties in posting ads with BitMedia.IO. From now we are using absolutely new database architecture and due to this fact our company was experiencing some technical challenges. The process of moving to the new platform took us a little bit more time than we expected. We did our best to solve the problem and this would not happen again!

Another inconvenience is that the majority of you are waiting to hear back regarding the letter that you sent to email - support@bitmedia.io                       For sure, it’s not because we are lazy, or forgot about you, it’s all because Google has blocked our e-mail box due to some mysterious reason. We have already found out that the reason was in them, and Google promised to unlock the account as soon as possible. It just takes some time.

I just want to thank you for staying with us. We are almost done with a new feature of our advertising engine and soon we will surprise our advertisers and publishers with a new updates, which will save time for advertisers and help to earn more for publishers.

Be in touch!

Best Regards,
BitMedia Team

Wait, does that mean they haven't fixed the problem yet? I interpreted the email as the problem being fixed already.

Does microwallet still payout?

Yes, they do. Takes a bit longer sometimes though, as microwallet does it manually, they don't use an automated system.
2518  Other / Meta / Re: Feed the Children Charity Bong Raffle, Poor judgement, User should be Banned on: February 10, 2015, 03:31:55 AM
The forum doesn't ban scammers, it only neg reps them. People will only get banned if they break forum rules.

WoodCollector could easily clear this up by posting a video of him hand carving a wooden bitcoin with a design as complicated as the others that he have made. The other video that he uploaded of him carving the bitcoin logo into wood wasn't as complicated as his other designs, and also wasn't satisfying.
It is really disappointing that if you are scammer and people will prove that you indeed are a scammer you are free to go. I just do not get it... You will be banned for posting too many posts at once and you won't for stealing money from people? Something is not right

The forum admin are in no position to remove someone from using the forum.

Not 100% of the forum is used to exchange goods/services for payment. So banning them makes little sense.

Plus any banned users could always create a new account and scam under that new one.

No point in banning scammers.

I agree, the best way to deal with scammers is to neg rep them so others won't fall for the scams, as admins won't ban them

2520  Other / Meta / Re: can bitcointalk admins read our PM'S on: February 10, 2015, 01:49:18 AM
Theymos and Badbear can, but probably won't read your PM's. There will be exceptions though, I think once the Feds asked theymos to hand over someone's PM's after they discovered he had been part of/running (can't remember which) silk road.

I don't think he turned over the PM's in that instance, just the posts that were deleted on the "heroin store" thread. The original subpoena didn't say anything about PM's IIRC.

The post that implicates altoid in the SR was deleted, and theymos said there was no backup of it as it was a long time ago. I don't think anything theymos handed over was ever used in the case, I only saw screenshots of the thread and screenshots of the Google search that led them to it.
You are correct the subpoena only asked for posts of altoid (as well as the herion store thread).

It is interesting they asked for things that were publicly available, especially considering that for much of when the thread was being discussed the forum was not keeping records of deleted posts, so mostly speaking what the public could see is what they got

Ahh OK. Thanks!
