2501  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why alt coins don't go up with bitcoin as much they go down with it? on: January 26, 2022, 11:50:37 PM
Ok I really wanted to understand this behaviour of alt coins when recently during this crash many alt coins were double digits down with bitcoin but when it is recovering a lot of them are hardly even moving. And this is really issue with alt coins why is there such behaviour?

Erase the idea that once bitcoin pumps a bit, most altcoins should follow. It might be the scenario before but the market has changed since then. If you hold some altcoins that didn't get dragged up whenever Bitcoin is on the uprise, see if there's really a reason why it should go up. Is the volume of that coin perfectly smooth? Is that coin can be considered worthy to invest in for long? Are there any intense price actions that happened on that coin before or something like that?

Bottom line, not all altcoins are having the same behaviour and should go up too alongside the price increase of Bitcoin. You should modify your portfolio if there's something wrong with it regardless of the market trend.
2502  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: LAtoken - exchange or gambling? on: January 26, 2022, 11:46:40 PM
I have been trying out Latoken exchange for a last few weeks and guess what you will find coins pumping 1000% from $1 to $1000 and eventually dropping down to $0.001 within few days. I had invested into Arbismart which had good market cap and I bought this coin for $120 and within a week it dropped down to $0.5 and now it's trading at $0.6. i have lost capital in other three coins as well in this exchange I know it's my fault that I invested without much research but most of the coins have made people either a millionaire or a bankrupt overnight. I believe there is a some high level of manipulation happening with this exchange. What's your thought on this?

Whether it has some level of manipulation or not, you are right that you are the one who should blame there.

You become one of those users who got dragged on being a FOMO, expecting you will have the same journey with who got profit decently with those pumps.

What you tell us is no different from what Yobit's doing once they hyped a coin. Imagine a $120 coin will reach the bottom of %0.5 within just a week. That was crazy. I think you learned lesson from that and I hope that will served as your reference on your future actions.
2503  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: An advanced technology could kill crypto? on: January 26, 2022, 11:41:40 PM
Also I heard that super computers can get through all crypto wallet keys easily in a matter of days, true or false?

Regardless, the idea was so advanced. While technology evolves, also expect that there will an improved version of crypto "in general".

Can we elaborate more on your thoughts so we can have a better response here?

What do you expect or anticipate to happen in the future regarding advanced technology?

2504  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buy low, Sell high? on: January 26, 2022, 11:37:53 PM
It is not about the budget, it is about how you "budget" it.

I never invest anything more than %5 all at once. This means, assuming I have 1000$ to invest, nothing gets more than 50$ at once.

So it is not about having a big amount in order to keep investing, it is about investing in a smart way and being ready.

Then just why not stick with your principle and disregard any responses here. If you think that strategy is working for you effectively or will, then follow it. People have different preferences and what others think is best might be not a good idea for you.

Moving forward, I hope that mindset of yours will eventually yield you a good return.

Good luck with your principle about investment diversification.
2505  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: There is fear in the market, isn't it time to buy? on: January 26, 2022, 11:34:01 PM
Now there is a fear of investors in the market. Bitcoin has lost over 50% of its ATH since its recent drop, the fear index hit 13, and even altcoins that have held up well on this downtrend like NEAR, LINK, LUNA, FTM have also lost value. Short positions increase Everyone is in a panic, many fix losses and sell....

Does this mean that we have felt the bottom and there will be a rebound soon? Is it time to buy?

I disagree that everyone is in panic. This is not the first time that the market is in a situation like that. Investors won't be called investors if they don't know what they are doing. It's just that you guys are not used to seeing a downtrend that's why your mind was mixed up creating a mindset that's not making sense.

Is it time to buy? Do we need to wait for the bull market to back before doing some actions? That question might be the question again once the market gets back on bullish track.
2506  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 24, 2022, 11:30:30 PM

Don't overhype Anthony Davis, I guess.

The Lakers are struggling even before Davis' injury. He's not the missing link or something else that the Lakers need to get back on track. Lakers need a whole change that will start from each of them. If Davis will now return, he will just fill the position he left that LeBron is sometimes covering.

Is that will change the Lakers' winning rate? Obviously, no.
2507  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: On which esports you place bets on: January 24, 2022, 11:23:49 PM
Why would only choose one if you could have both? since there would be specific markets for these games considering on how popular it is, the more you do list out then more chances of getting revenue
considering there is really a market for that one.

If we do tend to see another or current bookies specially had some esports listing then you could see that it do lists out almost everything which gamblers/bettors could really have lots of
options to take.

Let's give OP time to familiarize or research some stuff about ESports.

OP clearly stated that he is not familiar with this that's why a poll was created. After a bit of research, I'm sure they won't end up on just a few options which I also mentioned here. Hope he will read all responses here.

When it comes to ESports betting, everything should be listed for more options, not just DOTA II or CSGO.
2508  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 24, 2022, 11:20:46 PM
PBA should always have a back up plan to avoid any delays since we’ve been inti this situation for 2 years now, i assumed they already know how to handle this. They should continue and keep working to finish the conference, they are losing money though since the pandemic started but they can’t stop this better to adopt it and work necessarily. Staying safe is a big challenge for everyone, but life must go on.

PBA always has a plan but they can't just execute it right awaybecause there are lots of approvals they need.

- First, on IATF and GAB (although the latter already approved PBA to allow the resume)

- Second, on LGU (lots of considerations if the venue will be in province)

- Third, the hassle process of conducting a bubble operation.

Moving forward, it's good to see that they are now targeting next month, regardless of the situation, to commence the Governor's Cup.
2509  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gary Russell vs Mark Magsayo WBC Featherweight Title on: January 24, 2022, 11:14:01 PM
What's next for the reigning WBC Featherweight Champion Mark Magsayo? A title defense or stepping into another division? He can go with 130 lbs after numerous title defenses to prepare his body.

Here are the possible fights he can arrange with: (within the same division)

Emanuel Navarrete - WBO Featherweight Champion
Kiko Martinez - IBF Featherweight Champion
Leigh Wood
- WBA Featherweight Champion
Gary Russell Jr. - Title Defense (rematch)

I don't know if Magsayo's camp plan to unify this but it's a good target before testing the waters on 130–135 lbs.
2510  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: January 24, 2022, 11:04:03 PM
The decisions are still not out so we are waiting for the next match of Casimero either to fight Butler or to have another boxer in waiting, WBO should make an announcement now so viewers wont expect that much.

As far as WBO mandatory fight is concerned assigning to Casimero, there's no other opponent left yet to challenge Quadro Alas rather than Paul Butler. Even there's no announcement yet, I think that fight will be pushed as there's no other way.

Inoue already losing interest to fight Casimero anymore as he plans to fight Donaire for second time again and climb up for another weight division, so I guess he don't have any plans to fight him anymore. Maybe he don't see any benefits from it since he's not interested to fight him anymore. But fans keep insisting to make this fight happen so I hope that negotiation will up and this will happen since this will be huge fight to happen if both camp agree and seal a contract to their fight.

Even Inoue loses interest in Casimero, at least the monster still considers him to fight next. Maybe around June. The monster still prefers to fight in Japan that's why it takes too long for him to get in the ring knowing Japan has current travel restrictions in effect.

Naoya Inoue planning June return due to ongoing travel restrictions
Inoue is reportedly targeting Nonito Donaire and John Riel Casimero, as expected
2511  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the most important features of an online crypto casino? on: January 24, 2022, 10:34:42 PM
^

I believe that if you gave the casino your documents you have already de-anonymized yourself because some employees have access to user databases. No one can give you a 100% guarantee that your documents will not appear on the black market. Privacy can only be maintained if you do not give your documents to anyone and do not associate your addresses with an identity.

No choice but to comply if it was asked, maybe during the times when the account will be involved in big winnings or something that can trigger the site's alarm. And besides, it's not that our personal information is not 100% private at all times. We comply with KYC with exchanges, bank accounts, etc. so to somehow rest assured that our privacy is safe, only compy to a gambling site that already earned the tag of being reputable.
2512  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: January 23, 2022, 10:49:06 PM
So this is going to be a match in heaven sort of, two very powerful boxers who has something to prove to the world. Yeah, Inoue will be getting the lion share of the split and probably 60/40 in my opinion is probably the right split of the purse.

I think that will be the split whether Casimero's camp likes it or not. And regardless, Casimero really likes to fight Inoue as that will be the highlight of his career. Beating him is like Casimero won a jackpot lol.

But seriously, even others think that Inoue's camp is avoiding Casimero, that's not what I see in the situation. If you are a champion, you don't need to say, please organize a fight for us like what Inoue did before to Casimero. Let the challenger do everything to force the champion to fight him until the body organization steps in to mandate the fight. Casimero just needs to finish everything that WBO will assign to him. I'm sure someday, he will get what he wants.
2513  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gary Russell vs Mark Magsayo WBC Featherweight Title on: January 23, 2022, 10:35:19 PM
Magsayo really did a great job and seriously, Rusell looks no injure at all since he also throw good punches to Magsayo, its just that he is not that good to beat Magsayo. Let’s accept it without any excuses, Magsayo dominate the match and he is now a world champion and still undefeated, luckily I place some bet on the last minute.

I'm with Magsayo to win, of course, but you have to watch the full fight. Clearly, Russell is fighting not in 100% because of that injury aside from the weight problem. But like I mentioned, even with Russell at 100%, Magsayo still has the chance to beat him. It's just that we didn't see GRJ's side fighting at 100% but no one to blame there. Magsayo worked hard on that win and now achieved his target, to become a World Champion.
2514  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 23, 2022, 10:24:59 PM
Too tempting and this will be a hard decision for Coach Topex.

Too tempting indeed but i don't think that he would bite the offer as he would be away for his family for a long time. Filipinos are too attached to their families so i don't think that coach Topex will be coaching in Japan soon, maybe if he had no more job in the Philippines then i think that he go there to coach.

It's a good thing though that coaches had been noticed in Japan, maybe they want to experiment what works in their system, US or Philippine style of coaching.

The same sentiment here. Maybe if the offer will be from Assistant Coach to Head Coach, that might trigger the brainstorming on Coach Topex head since obviously, the salary of a Head Coach is far different from Assistant. I tried to search some sample figures about the salary of the head coach in the B-League but can't find any. I found one but I don't know if it's legit.

Usually, even for other OFWs, they would only grab the offer to work abroad if the increase in salary is really high for example, an employee earning Php 35,000 a month here and will just earn Php 45,000 a month abroad will think twice since it's just a Php 10,000 increase and they will be away from their families.

Yes, since Coach Topex was scouted and recognized in Japan B-league, meaning it's a start of scouting other PH coaches too.
2515  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 23, 2022, 10:11:56 PM
Do you guys think CP3 has a chance to win the MVP race if we are not looking at just stats only?
Obviously, when it comes to stats Nikola Jokic will be the winner of it but when it comes to impact to the whole team and how he administered the Phoenix Suns in good and bad times CP3 has the upper hand. Those kinds will not be seen in stats but you can see it with how he maneuvers the pace of the game whenever they need it.
Isiah Thomas thinks so and I do see his point after watching the Suns game.

If only game impact contribution is counted for choosing season MVP, Chris Paul is a good contender for it.

Even right from the start of his career, from Hornets, Clippers, Rockets, Thunders, and currently, Suns, his leadership and smart gameplay literally extracted his teammates' best performance. I think last season, only a few expects that Suns will reach the Finals or not even in Semis.

Chris Paul plays a heavy role in why Suns is doing well today. Unfortunately, choosing MVP doesn't work that way.
2516  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: On which esports you place bets on: January 23, 2022, 09:57:07 PM
Recently, I was asked by one of my clients to check out which esports betting bitcointalk users are most interested. I wasn't really aware of esports betting much. Because I really don't gamble a lot. Can you please share which esports you used to place bets on? It would be a great helping hand to find out the right one. Client was interested in offering bonus for bitcointalk users.

Refer to other gambling sites that cover ESports. From there, cover those games they are listing. Even the community prefers to only bet on 1 to 2 games, there should also be another open betting for other ESports games especially the game events. Not all users will come from Bitcointalk if you will advertise the platform outside the forum.

In that way, the platform that your client wants to open might be considered by others to always be used regularly since there are lots of betting options to choose from.
2517  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Thurman vs Barrios - Feb 5 on: January 23, 2022, 09:51:40 PM
Everyone is on Thurman to win, I wonder how much money the bookies would make if the result will be the opposite. Most of us know Thurman because he fought Pacman, so probably we are underestimating his opponent who is younger than him and also only has one loss in his career.

The betting market on that match will probably be huge, if not, still decent. Regardless of the result, bookies are no doubt in profits.

Generally, in most cases, odds are adjusted depending on how many bets were already placed on a certain pick. Here in Thurman vs Barrios, even without the odds adjusted, bookies will surely profit.

And not just that, the betting options are not limited only to who will win. There are other options where gamblers will place their bet. That will contribute to the overall profit of the bookies.
2518  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: A quick question!! on: January 23, 2022, 08:06:44 PM
Elon Musk influence on Dogecoins seems to have dropped, why ?

It doesn't have to do with people now realizing something or what etc.

It's because influence alone isn't enough to maintain the hype. If there's no attempt to pump the price, others will not follow. People don't rely on being influenced by someone as long as the coin is creating hype or building momentum.

Believe me, when Elon started again to hype Doge and trigger another pump starting by those whales, it will bring another FOMO to the majority of the people.
2519  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2022: Bullish or bearish for crypto? on: January 23, 2022, 07:30:16 PM
What do you think? Will 2022 be a bearish or bullish year for crypto? Why do you think it'll be that way? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Smiley

A single to a few months of performance shouldn't be the thing we need to based on if we are speculating what trend will dominate the whole year.

Others can't just accept the fact that even amid a strong bullish trend, it can be spoiled anytime. Their price expectations, especially with their hold altcoins, are too good to be realistic wherein it should happen right away or within just a short period of time. Good thing that a bearish trend happened so that new players will understand that crypto is volatile.
2520  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gary Russell vs Mark Magsayo WBC Featherweight Title on: January 23, 2022, 08:48:10 AM

"And the NEW WBC Featherweight Champion of the World....."

It's really nice to hear this announcement when a PH boxer is a challenger.

Kudos to Gary Russell that despite the injury, he didn't let Magsayo have an easy win and was able to finish the fight at the end. For those who he will say that it's an excuse, no it's real. He even got a draw score on one of the judges. But even without the GRJ's injury, Magsayo always has the chance to upset the champion.

Moving forward, Magsayo now becomes a part of the champion club of PH boxers in history. Manny Pacquiao already congratulated him right after the fight.

Congratulations Magnifico!
