2501  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: To blockchain.info wallet users, Be aware of phishing sites on: March 27, 2016, 03:37:18 PM

thank you for your info this is very important because people sometime not checking address bar when opening a site, 1 other way to keep safe maybe bookmark blockchain wallet link every want to login in wallet

Yeah I agree with you, putting the site in the bookmarks is better than searching on google and facing these kind of phishing sites

Has there been a case of theft related to the site ?
This is really dangerous because the site occupies the top position in the search engine google if not careful someone could be fooled
This should be reported to the blockchain.info or google

There are many hack attempt to blockchain.info everyday and there are some cases where users funds had been stolen.
The most famous case is where a hacker returned 267BTC, source

Also, in past they have many bugs such as flaws when make a new address through mobile apps.

Thank you very good for the information and good suggestion regarding getting saved by going through bookmark, recently my friend got his computer hacked by some site he downloaded the exe file and his computer got hacked throught that keylogger exe , he lost nearly 0.5 btc ,

Now a days their are so many hackers roaming in the cyber who are ready to steal if you do a single mistake.

2503  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: March 27, 2016, 03:14:14 PM
I just placed my bet on Australia @2.34 because i strongly believe in it, Australia will not lost this golden chance to play semi final and it is more better team than India.

I dont think so last some matches the way Australia is losing wickets and even after good start they are collapsing with batting, and bowling is also not good, Today i think India will win Just see today also after opening good start and after usman got out they are out of the match.
2504  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: March 23, 2016, 09:09:18 PM
Today was amazing matches happened , first Afghanistan bowled well and took England 66/6 but after that they failed and England scored 140+ and then defended it with good bowling,

Second match between India vs Bangladesh was a good thrilling match with finishing 3 wickets in last over when they just needed 2 runs from 3 balls if they have just taken 1 runs they could have won or drawn it , This is the cricket T20 where expect the unexpected things happen.

Congrats to England and India winning the match.
2505  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HashOcean.com - Cloud Mining Service on: March 23, 2016, 09:00:25 PM
So cloud mining is not an investment, it's a lottery, if you pick the correct scammer at the correct time you may win, you will loose in all the other cases.

The problem is that your winnings come from money stolen from somebody else. You know this and you approve this. So it s no different then stealing money from that other person by yourself.

Did you consider that if you play lottery and win you are stealing money from others?

We must understand this is not an investment, and they are not real companies it's like a lottery (without the positive social impact of lottery, here the scammer get the big part and of course rules aren't transparent nor fair)
They evaluate the risk of being caught by law and assumes the risk to perform the scam
We should evaluate the risk related to put money on them considering that their main objective is to steal as much they can

Anyway in the process someones are lucky and earns.
With the "real" miners you will loose, slowly, but certain

If they would come forward as say, yes we re ponzi and you can make money only if u gamble, u know how many people would invest? Much less. But they state they re legit and lot of other people do not know they are gambling and do not know their money will be stolen. You do know and still support them. If you want to gamble, use gambling website, there re tons of them. Dont support crypto ponzi cause all they will do is to steal money, shut down the website and then open another one to hurt even more people.

Is this something you want to be part of?

it is right that who ever is telling that invest in this ponzi in the start so that atleast you will get back your investment and then can share some profit which is actually the loss of others. What all have told is absolutely correct. Even if you are first invester , you are taking step to encourage the ponzi scheme and the others are seeing the transaction of other investing and then he also thinks of investing. If genuienly no one invest in this scheme even if he is the first one then automatically they will stop it because when no one is their to invest then how will they run their scheme.

To really finish this ponzi schemes , stop to invest in this schemes even if you are the first one . If no investors are their then automatically they have to shut down this schemes and their wont be anymore fraud or scammers in this bitcoin society.

2507  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Good adult advertising networks? on: March 23, 2016, 08:36:31 PM
I think there are very less ad network with bitcoins payment that are supporting adult advertising networks, in fiat currency you will get lot of them if you search in google. In bitcoins their are less but the price is high and the return will be less publicity.
2508  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Useful Desktop Applications for Bitcoin ? on: March 23, 2016, 08:33:23 PM
I would like to have a widget on my desktop (or in the navigation bar) where I can see the price of a couple of coins. The tool should allow to configure three, four or five coins out of list (perhaps you can use the coinmarketcap API).

I mainly use MacOSX but also Linux and Windows from time to time. Perhaps, there is a platform independent framework to build it.

Do you mean something preev.com by that watch several Crypto currencies ?

Exactly! Something like preev as a desktop or navigation bar widget would be great but with a little bit more options. Preev only allows to show 1 crypto currency at the same time. The widget should allow to show at least three.

Ya it is correct if their is a desktop tool where we can see the rates of all coins and in that if the menu is their of only showing the coins chosed or our favrite coins that will be a very good tool for the traders who dont want to go to the site and check the price.

2511  Economy / Economics / Re: Big Crash coming on: March 23, 2016, 04:02:34 PM
Well it might be coming though it will definitely not happen any time soon our at least this year because there will be a halving event what will surely push the price up

I think bitcoin will never crash right now as a lit of people are interested in it and that means it is impossible to destroy right now

How can you say that it is impossible to destroy right now, nothing is impossible anything can happen any moment . as per i think most of them are just waiting for Halving as they are thinking that the price will rise up. but i think that as soon as the halving period will start or just before start their will be heavy selling from the minner and big investor side as after the halving their will be selling from the users side, so this can be crashing of bitcoin.

2514  Economy / Economics / Re: Minimum limit for buying BTC on: March 22, 2016, 10:56:31 AM
minimum limit for buying bitcoin is where you want buy bitcoin, i mean every exchanger will have some rules for user buy bitcoin at their and some exchanger need your identification before you buy or sell  bitcoin.

Yes every trader has certain limit for buy and sell , but its good if we buy in a large amount at once as you don't have to spend trading fees often.
The only limit is your bankroll. There are no other limits when you trade bitcoins, altcoins or any other type of commodity or currency.
Bitcoin can be divided into numbers smaller than 1 cent, so buying desired amount of BTC is not a problem at all.
Yes, bitcoin in the form of satoshi can be divided into much smallest possible unit, so do not put a limit on its minimizing, but the fee of exchange may appear as the limit for the exchange for it.

Ya it is correct the minimum for buying is the minimum transaction fees for that exchange is , because even if you are buying one sathoshi but the fees would be high so automatically you have to calculate your buying with the transaction fees. So now i think so many have given you examples of minimum buying limit.

2515  Economy / Gambling / Re: betcoin poker cheating on: March 22, 2016, 10:22:58 AM
I'd also like to mention that bad beats like this happen all the time.
It wouldn't take me more than sitting 30mins in a poker room to witness a similar (statistically speaking) play.
Yes bad beats happen and if he bluffed all in and I called and the hand played the same way then I would just brush it off.  But he CALLED all in, which no one would do unless they either just wanted to fuck with me and didn't care at all about he money or knew somehow the hand was going to win.  So it's not that I caught a bad beat. I understand that happens.  It's the way the hand played out and the way the guy was playing before it.

Another instance.  I was playing 30/60 limit Omaha8ob and there were 3 of us.  This one guy literally called every single bet all the time for about 25 hands straight. This is the perfect kind of guy you want to play with but he just kept catching runners over and over with any cards and splitting the pot or outright winning it with the luckiest shit you could imagine.  This went on and on.

So I decided to ignore it, keep at it and just try to brush it off and keep my eyes open, but something else happened just now.  I was in another low stakes NLHE tournament and this one guy just keeps winning with random cards that no one would ever play, and he keeps this huge stack of chips somehow, playing like a retard.  I play AK and catch a K on the flop.  He calls my bet to put him all in and catches 2 runners to make a straight.  He had j2 no piece of the flop and no draws at all on the flop, yet he calls all in and catches 2 runners to make a straight as if he knew it was coming.

what you are telling is not common but it happens even i am playing in fortunejack and i have seen lot of this type of players who play on all cards and they are going lucky why even i also tried some time and i have seen that i am winning most of the time, so i think what you are claiming is just that your day was bad and you lost it. Their is some way where if you bet properly according to the strategy even small cards make you win.

So I think OP lost the game on nice hand of card holding AK and opp holding only 25 and won that is why he got pissed and now crying on the site of telling that the site is scam. Their are scammers but what you are telling is not fully acceptable of scamming of site.

2517  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cheap VPS on: March 21, 2016, 02:44:36 PM
I'd recommend you Time4VPS. I used it for a 12 players Manic Digger (similar game to Minecraft) server and there is no downtime at all. Bot (legit) on a gambling site should be okay. I'd recommend you to pick the 'S' plan which only cost 1.49 Euro. Having a good amount of RAM is important for a VPS especially if you are going to run the same task 24/7.

Oh. Yes they accept Bitcoin. Smiley.

Thank you for this thread created as  i was also looking for the cheap vps service, and thanks for the suggestions will also have a look on this .
2518  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you holding your bitcoin for a price increase? on: March 21, 2016, 02:26:19 PM
Yes I'm holding them for a price increase, the point is that the halving is coming and it will be very sweet.
Also the fact is that the future of the bitcoin is good so that is why I'm holding them.

Yeah its good hold at a moment as the price would be higher at the time of halving so we can sell at the higher price.

Its better to hold the rest of the bitcoin earning from your emergency needs, just to get a good profit. Only purpose is to experience the price jump on halvinf. Other than that price fluctuations will be felt often.

Price fluctuation will always follow bitcoin and its nothing new in bitcoin process, but if you hold till halving then it can be profitable for you.
I am confused as to why many people recommend to waiting for halving come then sell it. What do you want to ensure or guarentee that halving can make bitcoin prices riding high

I agree with you all of them are waiting for halving then to sell and even recomending other also to do this, Think if everyone is going to sell bitcoins after halving then who will be buying. When their will be no buyer then automatically the price will go down,

So i think that just some days before halving if i get price $500 or above also i will sell all my bitcoins as i think i will get below $300 after halving. Wht do you all think
2519  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How is BTC Price determined ?? on: March 20, 2016, 06:38:34 AM
The price is agreed to by those that are exchanging, just like haggling over a price for produce or products in a market would happen.  Some people have dollars (or other local currencies) and want bitcoins.  Other people have bitcoins and want local currency.  When they find each other, they either come to an agreement on how much they will exchange, or they fail to come to an agreement and they look for someone else to exchange with.  Here's an example I wrote up previously (when the exchange rate was much lower than it is today):

The "price" of a bitcoin is exactly what someone somewhere is willing to pay for it, and someone else is willing to sell it for.

Exchanges provide a place for people who want to buy bitcoins and people who want to sell bitcoins to find each other.

Example:

Albert has 100 BTC.  He needs to pay his electric bill and the electric company doesn't accept bitcoin as payment.  He decides to convert some of his bitcoin to USD.  Albert logs on to an exchange and creates a limit order offering to sell 10 of his bitcoin for $33.45 each.  He is not willing to sell the bitcoin for less than $33.45 because at any price less than that he'd rather just hold on to the bitcoin and pay his electric bill with other funds.

Bobby only has a two bitcoin that he purchased at $32.50 each.  He decides that he doesn't really want bitcoin anymore, but he doesn't want to take loss.  He logs on to the exchange and creates a limit order offering to sell his two bitcoin for $32.55 each.

Carl has just received his paycheck.  After paying his expenses he has $200 left over.  He decides to purchase bitcoin with this money.  He feels like the exchange rate might drop a bit and so to get them as cheap as possible, he transfers his money to the exchange and creates a limit order to purchase 6.25 BTC at $32 each.

David just received an inheritance of $10,000. He decides he'd like to hold the entire balance as bitcoin.  He has seen the exchange rate varying between $31.50 and $33.50 lately, and hopes he can get the entire balance at $31.50.  He creates a limit order at the exchange for 317.460317 BTC at $31.50 each.

Earl is in a hurry.  He just wants to buy something from Overstock.com right now, and he'll take whatever the current exchange rate is.  He needs $60 worth of bitcoin.  He transfers his $60 to the exchange and places a market order for $60 worth of bitcoin.  The exchange sees that the cheapest offer to sell bitcoin at their site at the moment is Bobby's offer of 2 bitcoin at $32.55 each.  The exchange transfers the $60 from Earl to Bobby and at the same time transfers 1.84331797 bitcoin from Bobby to Earl.

At this hypothetical moment the current bitcoin price is therefore $32.55, since that is the most recent exchange that has occurred.
Earl now has 1.84331797 BTC
Bobby now has $60 and 0.15668203 BTC still available for someone to purchase from him at an exchange rate of $32.55 per bitcoin.

Now Albert suddenly realizes that he doesn't have enough other funds for his bill.  He needs $334.50 right away to pay the bill, and needs to sell the bitcoin quickly to get the necessary money.  Albert cancels his limit order and places a market order to sell $334.50 worth of bitcoin.  The exchange sees that the most expensive offer to buy bitcoin at their site at the moment is Carl's offer of 6.25 bitcoin at $32 each.  The exchange transfers $200 from Carl to Albert, and 6.25 bitcoin from Albert to Carl.  Since Albert still needs another $134.50 worth of bitcoin to fulfill his order, the exchange sees that the next highest offer is David's offer of 317.460317 BTC at $31.50 each.  The exchange transfers 4.26984127 BTC from Albert to David, and $134.50 from David to Albert.

At this hypothetical moment the current bitcoin price is therefore $31.50, since that is the most recent exchange that has occurred.
Albert now has the $334.50 that he needs, and still has 89.4801587 BTC remaining.
Carl has picked up the 6.25 bitcoin that he wanted, spending the $200 that he wanted to spend.
David has purchased 4.26984127 for $134.50, and still has a limit order out there waiting to be filled for another 313.190467 bitcoin at $31.50 each.

You'll notice that there are actually many "prices" for bitcoin.  There is the price that each individual is willing to buy or sell their bitcoin for.  Some of the more often quoted prices are the "current Ask", "current Bid" and "most recent exchange".

Prior to Earl coming along, the "Current Ask" was Bobby's $32.55 that he is asking to sell his bitcoin (the lowest price anyone is willing to sell for at that time).
The "Current Bid" was Carl's $32 bid to purchase bitcoin from anyone willing to sell that cheap (the highest anyone is willing to pay to buy at that time).

Hats off to you sir, so clearly with example you have gave the reply for the OP question that anyone newbie will also come to know about the trading and market price procedure.

Now i think OP query would have been cleared on how the market price is determined. apart from this who ever read your comment will also have gained knowledge about how market price determined.
