2501  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't repeat same mistakes on: December 25, 2020, 11:46:23 AM
Having mistakes is not bad at all, it is the way that we can learn how not to deal with the same mistakes we did, in order for us not to lose some investments again.
Yes, mistakes in small sizes are very valuable lessons and will make someone motivated to seek more knowledge so that he will not repeat the same mistakes, but if a big mistake, I think that someone will be a little difficult to get back up even though they still can, because he will not only experience loss of assets, but will also lose his enthusiasm for it.
Learn from your mistakes whether it's big or small, that's the only way to survive and to succeed in the crypto space.
Now that the market is already bullish, I'm sure there are people who are still aiming for more, if we learn from our mistakes or the mistakes of other people, we should be smart to do the right decision, and that is to ensure our greediness will not take over, sell now and take profit and wait for the next dip.

2503  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2019-2020 betting on: December 25, 2020, 09:34:52 AM
I think that is because there will be no fans, so no tickets will be sold.
Most of the teams don't want to host fans into their home games. But a few will. So ticket sales is not a big matter for most of them.
https://www.nba.com/news/where-nba-teams-stand-on-in-arena-attendance
NBA will still survive even if there's no ticket sales, the advertisements and other factors will make the NBA survive and will remain profitable. However, our main concern here is to have some fan so as long as there are games, there are odds where we can bet on.  Grin
2504  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: December 25, 2020, 09:15:18 AM
He has proven himself in the last season, so there's no doubt how effective Butler or Miami for that matter. But I guess there are still haters of Jimmy and thinks that the last season performance was a fluke - due to bubble.
Jimmy is always a talented as an individual player but he is a good teammate as well.
For me, the reason why they were successful last bubble is because of their teammates, it's not all the time that Butler is carrying the team, they played so well as a team so they have the success that people didn't see it coming.

But I'm sure he has no pressure on him, but knowing how competitive the guy is, he will once again prove himself and will go for the finals again.
Jimmy will always remain competitive but at the same time he trust his teammates so he does not only put the pressure on his shoulder alone.
2505  Economy / Economics / Re: Economy after COVID-19 on: December 25, 2020, 08:36:29 AM
With the negativity corona virus brought as this year still it showed positive adoption towards online payments and ecommerce wherein it paved a great part to us people who are stuck inside our houses. I believe we are still be using online payments if vaccine will finally out in the market and we will be gradually making our economy healthy.
Of course, online transaction is more convenient whether using centralized or decentralized method, the positive thing it brought to us is that decentralized coins are introduce especially bitcoin. Covid-19 bring down the economy and economy is centralized so people are not only adopting by using bitcoin but mostly investing especially the big institution.
2506  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sport betting site offering bets on the Covid-19 pandemic. Worst site now. on: December 24, 2020, 11:52:37 PM
I don't put a bet into a thing like this.
Is there a multiple choice that could help us to determine what possibly be the result of their assessment? It could be appreciated but if none, it is just like we throwing our money into this site and all our bets are just a losing bet.

This is not the sport that we certainly know what will be the result. I feel pity for those who put a bet on this. And maybe, this was the foolish thing ever I do in my life in gambling if I do it.

There's definitely a lot of information you can find online, but as to reliability, no assurance about that.
Actually this kind of game is just like prediction, and your prediction is solely based on the data you can collect and the rumors you will read or hear.

Anyway, this is not really fun as per my personal experience.
2507  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Big Short movie, BTC edition? on: December 24, 2020, 11:42:34 PM
there will be a decline if the hype has ended, but so far if I see, the bitcon hype is still not over,
If you expect the big short to happen you will miss the bullish train.

What if there's none already and anytime soon bitcoin will start to dump like a falling knife? The big short movie was all about the bubble, I'm not sure if what we are seeing is the same because AFAIK, bitcoin could dump but it's normal as it's a high volatile asset compared to the housing bubble in the movie the big short.
2508  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any insurance service for gamblers to retain heavy losses....??? on: December 24, 2020, 11:23:32 PM

If you dont like to suffer problems then better not to engage with it.

No, gambling is fun, we lose that is normal but we have to avoid a heavy loss as that is not gambling responsibly anymore. We are not into business, at least for most of us, we just want to enjoy and hope to win, that's it, but those who are really serious, they have to ensure they have the knowledge and the ability to stay discipline all the time, regardless of how much they loss.

Insurance are only for coward.  Grin
2509  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Casinos and Sportsbooks missing from Bitcointalk? on: December 24, 2020, 09:50:33 AM
Would be nice if you can add something like a warning or a sign for any casinos on your list which has such scam accusation in this forum or somewhere out there. Of course you do not need to do researches but you can do it by report, if someone give you a valid report then you can give a warning on that site.
unfortunately so far I see that people who do gambling sometimes don't read or look for more in-depth information on this forum, indeed if there is clear information about the reputation of the gambling place it is better, it's just that maybe it can be put into the Sticky Topic so that everyone can get more easy to find information.

Some people who know the forum does not check on the gambling sites available here, they came here to make a scam accusation and complain about the site, good thing OP make a list the site that is not in the forum, maybe if people will read they'll think twice before using the site.

There are also list here of casinos and their reputation, that would surely help bettors if they'll dig enough.

Don't get lazy so you'll not get scam.
2510  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: December 24, 2020, 09:32:58 AM
Big win for the Spurs against the Grizzlies. De Rozan starting off good aldridge Aldridge was able to contribute as well. I hope this team remains consistent throughout the season. The players owe it to their coach who is nearing his retirement days.
If they can win against a healthy Grizzlies team then I guess they are already on a good track.
Dejounte Murray had a lot of contributions. 21pts 6 rebs 9assts Wow!
Something changed with the Spurs play. More outside shots.

They seem to really change, it's a new spurs as they are now a high scoring team. They scored 131 points against a good team, so how much more on a weaker team, but then again, this is just one game, we would like to see their consistency in the season.
2511  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul - February 20 on: December 23, 2020, 10:47:08 PM

Nothing is impossible, we even thought in the past that the fight would not happen, but it did happen, so the fact that they have already fought, a rematch is not impossible, probably Mayweather is just looking for the right timing, this is big money, no one would ever resist it.

Makes sense although I hope they could start with it soon since they are already at the same agency, it would not be that hard. But with the pandemic still going around, I think it is better if they could plan this big event in 2022 in which would gather fans viewers that would also generate a lot of profits for Mayweather if he really wants it.

Both understands that a rematch could be their last fight, so if they will agree, they'll make sure there a crowd in an arena as ticket sales plays a major part of the revenue, maybe even higher than the PPV I believe.
2512  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Ripple ever reach $5 ? on: December 23, 2020, 10:16:17 PM
Ripple is and was a scam.

If you lost money in Ripple after all the work TradeFortress put in... you deserved it in my opinion...

Unreal.

That was your opinion but you can't deny how profitable investing with Ripple especially if you buy at dip.
Of course I understand that not everyone would think the same way, but for some people Ripple is legit, and the others are scam.
2513  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH price in 2020. on: December 23, 2020, 12:21:53 PM
it looks like ethereum still has the strength for further bullishness,
$ 600 is strong support, and Ethereum is able to hold on there,
I'm sure there will be another pump in Ethereum before the new year.

Not unless bitcoin will have another pump, as of now, it seems like bitcoin has already stop pumping, and I'm afraid on the next movement because when the hype is over, a correction will come 100%. Ethereum seems to be impressive, but since there's no altcoins run yet, I don't think it will be bullish like bitcoin.
2514  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: December 23, 2020, 11:39:17 AM
NBA season is coming back and LA Lakers are probably looking stronger than before with new signings and paying $40 million for Kuzma, so I don't think LA Clippers will have any chance in LA battle.
Kuzma isn't new to the team so they're still the same. But it's three of them who are the big three of Lakers, LBJ, Davis, and Kuzma. They allowed them to stay for sure.

Clippers are also strong. We're at the beginning of the season and we have no idea what these teams will bring to us and also other teams that have new roster update.

Lakers had the best centers in the NBA, they have Davis and Gasol, both of them won a championship already, so I think they are really strong and I understand why people are really expecting them to win a back to back championship. On the other hand, Clippers Center are not really that tall, so I think they will still get dominated in the inside, they have a young centers to be specific and they have only Serge Ibaka which we consider an experience player but not as tall and as good as Davis and Gasol.
Do you mean Pau, not Marc?
They got Marc Gasol now, Pau played before with the team and showed his interest to play with the Lakers again, but we have no news about this yet.

They really are strong and there's no doubt with it. As long as these big three is with them and they've already synchronized as they won the championship last season. They've made history because it was done in a bubble.

I agree that there is a big chance that they'll get a back to back title.

Marc Gasol just played his first game with the Lakers, he only played 12 minutes and scoreless, what a bad game for him in his debut as a Laker.
2515  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul - February 20 on: December 23, 2020, 11:15:14 AM
He will not do it, i don't remember any rematches that he agree to play with, and Mayweather will not let his guard down, he will not let other people win the game because they might do like what he did to them, if he will make a rematch with Manny expect that it will create a tons of money again, but the thing is he will not be the winner this time and I am sure of it, and if ever I will not bet in this game, I rather bet in not so well known boxer rather than a game with Floyd.

Mayweather will really hold into that record until he dies. I think it would be a miracle if Mayweather fights again Sen. Manny Pacquiao, if that is the case I find this rematch to be impossible. Maybe another rematch to McGregor is a match he would approve, because it would be another millions in his pocket. He's amazing to achieve an unbeatable run until he hang his gloves, we can't argue about that but accepting these matches might've hit some of the  boxers that wanted to face him.

Nothing is impossible, we even thought in the past that the fight would not happen, but it did happen, so the fact that they have already fought, a rematch is not impossible, probably Mayweather is just looking for the right timing, this is big money, no one would ever resist it.

2518  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any insurance service for gamblers to retain heavy losses....??? on: December 21, 2020, 10:38:28 PM

We do know that rakebacks do exist but not into that insurance thing.Who would be the hell would be giving out such service if they do know that gambling does involved on being on the losing side most of the time?
Therefore, no gambling site that has incentives, that's impossible. Just accept your losses if there is.

It's a promotion in the site, I do read that kind of promotion "rakebacks" from some of the sites but if ever there's an insurance in gambling, it should not be the gambling site who will provide and insurance but the 3rd party which you are right does not exist.

The bubble save Kuzma, I thought he will be traded after not playing well before the bubble, but here's some good news for him.

https://www.nba.com/news/report-lakers-kyle-kuzma-agrees-to-3-year-40-million-extension

Quote
Lakers' Kyle Kuzma signs 3-year, $40 million extension

Quote
The Los Angeles Lakers have signed forward Kyle Kuzma to a multiyear contract extension, the team announced Sunday. The deal is a three-year, $40 million extension, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

“It is especially gratifying for our Lakers franchise to draft, develop and now sign one of our own to a contract extension,” Vice President of Basketball Operations and General Manager Rob Pelinka said in a statement released by the team.

“Kyle has shown tremendous growth over the last three years, and played a crucial role on last season’s championship team. Kyle has been a terrific member of the Lakers community and we are all very excited about his continued future with us.”

I think the Lakers are hoping that Kuzma will developed to be the next generations that will carry the team. And his name was not in the trading block when they acquire Lebron, so that is the sign that they are willing to develop Kyle under Lakers.

Although I would say that I'm expecting more in his contract extension, but I think it's fair though. So let's see how motivated Kyle this season and the Lakers chasing back-to-back championship.

He is still very young and he can improve more. He has times in his career that he also struggle, maybe that's the reason why the rumors  for him being traded came out, but in the bubble he proving himself, he had some big contribution and the management really rewarded him for that.

Not the biggest contract but with his contribution to the team, I think it's worth it for him.
2520  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum: $500, $400, or $800? on: December 18, 2020, 11:34:56 AM
It's all just about forecasts / predictions and no one knows what will happen, but speaking of Ethereum prices by the end of the year I predict that Ethereum will only be able to hit the price of $ 700 and it won't be more than that because it still needs a lot of correction for ethereum to continue increased
Ethereum has already corrected in the past, it has even dump to $60 IIRC, and now ETH is slowly going up.

Yes $700 is likely the price it will achieved because we haven't seen an altcoins run yet, it's all bitcoin for now, so everyone is looking at bitcoin and not altcoins. Slowly maybe ETH will rise, but not in the moment where people are into FOMO with bitcoin.
