as an African and as someone who has been following African soccer I can say that African soccer has no quality anymore, when I watch the games I get very angry with the poor quality of these games, players make mistakes that are very childish, there are few goals. this deficient system is linked to the corruption that exists in clubs in africa.

The poor performance you speak about is as a result of poor quality from the home grown players. This tournament combines the international players with local and that's a bad mixed as the international players tends to adapt to the style of the home grown players which then affect their play. Let not also forget this big player are coming form league with world class facilities and treatment. They definitely can't get such treatment over here and this is because of the poor investment from the football governing body of the continent.

If i didnt see that some of the big players are leaving the premier league and some big leagues to play this tournament i wouldnt even know that this tournament is being played. This tournament lacks a lot of quality and to me isnt intresting at all

Well that's your personal view as the AFCON isn't a small tournament, this is the biggest tournament in Africa and the football lovers all know about the tournament. It has been ongoing before the big players you speak about today leaving their respective clubs to come play. Infact this tournament is the birth of many African stars you hear of today as they get discovered from their participation.

Its not a small tournament but i would rather watch Premier league now then AFCON honestly.I think the knockout faze will be intresting, group stage for me currently isnt at all. Some really weak teams are on this tournament in the group stage.
2522  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 01, 2022, 12:06:26 AM
I'm just going to stick with the New York Knicks -4.5 vs OKC Thunder, and Miami Heat -3.5 vs Houston Rockets, I really don't trust the Lakers or Dallas Mavericks, those could have been my 2nd choices.

GL Everyone... Wish you all a splendid year ahead!

For me these two matches are risky bets just because both teams are playing in an away game. Mostly in NBA that dosent mean much but Knicks are mostly a home team and are usually winning with the influence of the crowd but both teams are playing against really weak teams.
2523  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: January 01, 2022, 12:04:18 AM
We are going to be back with a really competitive game I would have liked to say. But Lyon are really far from their old times now. In this season, their performance is so inadequate that they are having big problems. They are at the 13th place now. Actually they lost only 5 times in 18 league matches which is a good thing. But they got so many draws like 7 times. They need to do something to fix this. This time, they are even facing PSG. Maybe they will lose or draw with them in this one too but I hope to see them starting to recover later.
What a fantastic game to begin the year its truly unfortunate to see lyon on this situation but even psg are not on top form and they lost many points i think we will see a competitive game but it will depand on lyon performance.

Psg dosent care much about french ligue because they will probobly win it easily as expected they already have a big advantage and teams like Lyon arent even close to winning the title or even to compete for it so it will really depend how much Psg will care ablut this match
2524  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: December 31, 2021, 10:56:40 PM
Almost time the start again, 1 week.

Thursday 6th January
Bologna 11:30 Inter Milan
Sampdoria 11:30 Cagliari
Lazio 13:30 Empoli
Spezia 13:30 Verona
Atalanta 15:30 Torino
Sassuolo 15:30 Genoa
AC Milan 17:30 Roma
Salernitana 17:30 Venezia
Fiorentina 19:45 Udinese
Juventus 19:45 Napoli

Source: https://www.skysports.com/serie-a-fixtures

Already 2 big games at the restart, the last call for Juventus with Napoli, and no more possible fails for Milan with Roma.

inter will have a very easy game

Atalanta may also have a chance of getting 3 points

Milan can also have a chance to win

Juventus may also have a chance to win

The only easy wins in this round will be Fiorentina and lazio probobly. Other matches such as Juventus vs Napoli is really hard to predict and can go either way and i think even Napoli might win in this match honestly. Inter will have a difficult away game .

Manchester United again have good support from Ronaldo goals. Congrats for their win of course and happy new year.

Arsenal will not be able to constrain the power of Manchester City and if things go bad, they might be destroyed by Manchester City. They have never had good defense system.
The goal Ronaldo scored was one of the easiest goals in entire football career he had. Just because we see him scoring on the sheet doesn't mean that he had a good game, if you watched the game you know that he didn't really had a good game at all, he missed a few chances as well. His passing seems to be improving a bit more though, not that he didn't pass before but usually he is a end of the pitch guy, so he either scores or assists, that's all he did, nowadays his playmaking is improving as well and seeing players that are wide open, which is a great thing.

United had a good game that's for sure, Sancho for example played amazingly. I am guessing that this would give them some morale boost but the reality is that we will not see them doing all that much better, we will see them doing just a tad bit better and probably be in some European competition.

It really dosent matter if its easy or not he was at the right place at the right time and its sometimes really hard to find yourself in an easy position. He knows where to move and how to score easy goals and thats why he scores o most each game goals.

According to rumors here in Italy, Morata will leave Juventus in January.

The only way, if he will stay, is that Juventus cannot find a player.

According to always the rumors the most probable player now is Icardi.
I heard the news that Morata will leave Juventus in January and there is already a personal agreement with Barcelona to move there, so this clause will happen?
It's just waiting for approval from Jeventus, so I think this rumor could be valid.

According to what I read Icardi is very suitable to move because he has no place to become a regular player and it is said in the news that Icardi is still at war with Messi I don't know if this is true or not what is clear if Icardi moves to SerieA again it will be very perfect for Juventus.

I think Morata to leave Juventus is a great thing if they find a really good replacement for him. Kean isnt playing that well and i dont think he can score 20+ goals for every season not that kind of a player jn qualify honestly

To be honest, the Valencia v Espanyol match is not very interesting... I thought Valencia would have no problem winning, but a red card decided the outcome of this game... Lol, while writing this post, Espanyol managed to score a second goal... Now they're next to each other in the standings...
Valencia vs Espanyol 1 - 2

The red card had a positive impact on Espanyol's success in winning today's match. Evidently, after Valencia lacked 1 player, they conceded 2 goals in less than 10 minutes. Unlucky day for Valencia after managing to lead 80 minutes with 1 goal, it must be painful. Valencia's failure today is an advantage for Barcelona to try to widen the points gap between the two. Barcelona will play vs Mallorca, this is a good chance to get 3 points for Barcelona.

Was expecting a really easy win by Valencia in this duel but this red card killed my hopes of getting the last bet of the year as a win
Hopefully next year is much better and not unlucky as this bet now. Valencia had a chance for the first 4 positions but now the hopes are gone for now
2529  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 30, 2021, 07:01:42 PM
The betting market for Mbappe next club lined him stay at PSG at 1.01, to be signed by Real Madrid at 14, Chelsea at 16, United at 20, Liverpool at 20 but City at 30?  Hmmm..  Something’s off here.  I’d line City as having more of a chance to sign Mbappe than Liverpool.  City badly needs a striker, LFC not really.
Real Madrid is the only team that has made an official proposal, and the reason Chelsea is on the list is because he had a trial with the club but was rejected after a few games, and he is a Chelsea fan, but I don't see him moving to Chelsea at his ludicrous market price. neither Liverpool can afford him, he is left with only Real Madrid as a choice.

Lol Mbappe to Liverpool, this has flown around the rumour mill so many times I wonder who's smoking what to keep legs on this. It's not that Liverpool don't need a striker, it's not that they don't have the money, it's not that Mbappe doesn't want to go to Liverpool, it's that this is not the way Klopp or the club do their deals, and it's just not the type of buy that fits the way we've dealth in the past 4/5 years.

Now, who can tell me if the Saka to Liverpool move is true? I don't think it's happening, but I've always rated him highly... can't say he's right for us though.

I think its Mbappe`s dream to play for Real Madrid and he dosent want to talk to them until the season is over, but he will probobly go their because not much clubs can afford that big of a fee except maybe Newcastle currently but i dont think thats the options for him.

Currently the best sportsbooks for me is sportsbet.io,it has the most options on sportsbetting and a lot of live matches and also there lots of options, second behind it is stake.com but stake has smaller amount of options but others for me are far away
2531  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Turkish Cup 2022 Season Prediction Thread on: December 30, 2021, 06:39:59 PM
This Cup is really hard to predict, the top teams and teams from the first turkish league are always playing with second or third squads in this kind of matches and you cant never know what will happen. We seen Galatasaray losing on penalties to Denizlispor and that is just shocking
2532  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2021/2022 on: December 30, 2021, 06:38:36 PM
^  If anything, I think it’s Liverpool that’s gonna start having problems when the Africa Cup of Nations start next month.  Klopp will be missing two key players, Mane and Salah.  Expect them to start losing points and Chelsea to solidify second spot at the table.  At least that’s what I think.

Anyway, had a bad run of bets.  So I’m doing a degen parlay...  Cheesy  HT/FT draw and City to win, Norwich team total under 0.5 goals and draw for United vs Wolves.  Total odds at 40.73.  25 bucks wins a tad over 1k.  Lezzz gooo!

This will be a hard month for teams that have a lot of african players. Liverpool is probobly in biggest trouble and to me they will probobly drop a few points,Chelsea is also playing really bad lately and i dont see them at second place it will be really hard,i think Man City will make their advantage a lot bigger
2533  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: December 28, 2021, 10:01:54 PM
We will see if they will be able to get at least a draw.

They couldn't reach a draw, they really lost.
I expected Liverpool to win, but Leicester did very well. Even though in the last few minutes they gave everything to try to win, they couldn't.

Congratulations to those who bet on Leicester victory.

Shocking loss for Liverpool against Leicester, this wasnt expected at all.Liverpool was much better in this match and Salah plus missed an early penalty in the first half and wasnt able to score 1 goal at all today and that isnt tipical at all for Liverpool this season. Man City now has a lot more points then everyone else.
2534  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: December 28, 2021, 05:44:49 PM
Tottenham still couldn't get a perfect result even against 10 player, it's a shame of course to see Tottenham have a lot of time and effort to score another goal in the second half. But yes, the final result in every opportunity created still does not give the expected goal and Tottenham must accept 1 point in this match, I also realize that basically Southampton also have a good defensive position. So yes, 1 point is not a bad result either but I just regret this good chance for Tottenham to get full points.

Maybe Tottenham agree with Manchester to draw  then let West Ham secure it Cheesy just kidding. after all by coincidence what happened to manchester so also to Tottenham
Whatever the reason it's a loss for Tottenham this opportunity doesn't come every time  but wasted. I doubt seeing Tottenham get a champions league ticket this season.

Tottenham has been playing amazing the last few weeks but today i think they should have done much better. Two goals were dissalowed 1 because of 1 inch offside VAR and 1 because of a foul on goalkeeper. That killed all my bets on this match.

Damn you Spurs, get the winning goal!

You're not the only with the expectation, they're just so pathetic  Angry

I'm still finding a way to figure out how it is that I went for Norwich to win against Crystal Palace in the pool  Angry

Dude Norwich are turning out to be one of the worst PL teams ever. I see what you’re trying to do though to pick up clever points. I do it a lot too, it’s probably why I’m doing so badly Cheesy

Here’s hoping LFC batter Leicester.

I think its smart to bet only on favorites and just keep doing that.I would never now chase this teams that are in the mud and are struggling to survive. All bets should be just against them. But a huge win by Crystal Palace didnt expect such a big win from them.

Newcastle sure as hell deserved to have won the game, Cavani and De Gea saved the day for Man Utd win tbh, despite not having the lion share of the ball possessions, Newcastle made various amount of threat in attack and could have been 3 goals up in the second half. Too bad they had to lose a couple of their players to injury, I'd tip them to avoid relegation this season if they can keep up this sort of performance.

Newcastle was much better then Man Utd in this match and should have won easily in the end.Cavani was able to save Man Utd in the end and they even had a chance of winning the match, but another poor performance by Man Utd this season.

It was so surprising to see Nuri Sahin as the coach of Antalyaspor, at the age of 33. It seems like they are starting a huge rebuilding with him, and made a contract of 5 years. Let's see how it turns out. At the game, Galatasaray had a rough first half but managed to score at the last minute. And then an amazing goal at the second half from Kerem Akturkoglu. Still, they struggled quite a bit and seems like they will continue to struggle hard till the end of the season.

Well its a new trend that we see very young coaches in european football.Bayern Munich also has Nigelssman that is already a few years in football as a head coach.Arteta for me is also young. Galatasaray was much better in this match and finally they won.

One of Arsenal's striker targets seems to be the 24-year-old Sevilla forward Youssef En-Nesyri now. He is one of the decent strikers now and he has a market value of 40 million euros now. He scored 18 goals in 38 La Liga games in the last season. And he didn't start badly to this season also. He might be a hot prospect for the future although I know he is 24 already. But I still believe that Arsenal can find a better striker than him to sign.

https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1540751/arsenal-transfer-news-dominic-calvert-lewin-dusan-vlahovic-youssef-en-nesyri
They are already planning now and indeed it looks like arsenal have had to think about that because their current strikers apart from being very lacking and there are a few that I don't think will survive there.
Lacazette is currently still unclear about his future at Arsenal, on the other hand Aubameyang also I think will definitely make a breakthrough by moving to another club due to his careless actions that will prevent him from playing again until the end of the season.
I think they should start looking for a new striker just in case

Aubameyang is leaving the team for certain as far as I can see. And this is very likely to happen in January also. There are some big clubs in line to sign him already and Barcelona are one of them. Maybe Lacazette wouldn't leave in the same month but he is also likely to leave next summer I believe. Arsenal want to renovate their attacking line. And maybe En-Nesyri would be one of the proper choices.

Aubameyang must leave Arsenal now he is not playing very well he is just bad and misses all good chances in the last couple of matches. He is missing training due to stupid reasons and no body wants to pay a player that isnt motivated to play at all. Arsenal needs a fresh new attack.

PSG vs. Real, Villarreal vs. Juve, Atletico vs. ManU are very unpredictable pairs, I'll wait a real rumble there...In each other pairs I can see a clear favorite, excluding, maybe, Benfica vs. Ajax.
The PSG Vs Real Madrid match will be an interesting match. The two teams are in good shape. PSG are leading in the Ligue 1 standings, while Real Madrid on the other hand are also leading in the La Liga standings. Is quite hard to predict who wins, but I think many goals will probably be scored. Atletico Madrid will have a tough match against Manchester United. Atletico Madrid have to play this match carefully to avoid losing, Because Manchester United focus are mainly on their Champion League matches. However, the Round 16 will indeed be very interesting, and I can't wait.
Real madrid I think will be seeded in this match because even though they are both top of the table in their respective league positions but on the other hand there is a stark difference in their performance in the UCL and even compared to their team I prefer to wait to see Sergio against his teammates first.
On the other hand, Athletico is again faced with a team in which there is Cristiano, it is very interesting how in some of the previous UCL matches they were always eliminated with a team in which there was Cristiano as a player.

I think when Atletico Madrid sees that Cristiano Ronaldo is playing against them in any match its over for them.Maybe this time Atletico can win against Ronaldo but Atletico Madrid is in a bad form lately but still a lot to go until this duel.Real Madrid vs PSG will be really intresting i cant wait to watch that match.
