Help me out, I must be missing it. Which one of those is a 20nm fab?

No news means they haven't gotten an update from their foundry; it doesn't mean nothing is happening. That said, CNY always throws a wrench in things. Seeing as it's 4:30a in China right now, we can probably give Matt a few hours rest this weekend, and wait for him to get news from the engineers.
You think their foundry taped-out weeks ago and put the wafers into production yet never notified them? Seriously?

There's a difference between stonewalling and not having any further information. We have allowed customers as well as Bobsag3 visit our facilities and post photos. We really have nothing to hide but we also have nothing to report at the moment either.
Unfortunately, no news means you have not taped-out. Please explain how you can still be on track. There's a limit to how fast wafers can be produced.

I dunno... when I see that big red water cooling system, I see prototype with excessive waterflow, to allow for overcooling and performance evaluation. If their target market is 4x of these in a server, I really doubt they'll keep something that unwieldy. Maybe I missed something here.
They always miss their target. You can count on it.

Everyone was complaining that Hashfast wasn't telling us the hashrate and wattage of the rigs. Now there are a number of people who have them and I have asked what those numbers are (wattage at specific hashrate) and no one seems to be able to answer.
This is usually the first thing reported when new hardware hits consumers hands.
Please, someone, take a second and check it.
Looks pretty close to 1W per GH/s. I have a mFi power strip so I don't know how accurate it is compared to a kil-a-watt but it says that the miner is drawing 497/498 watts overclocked to 500Gh (650 mhz core clock).

Is this company actually incorporated anywhere?

What's everyones problem? They did say Q1/Q2 2014 on the contract you purchased. Q2 = end of June 2014! They're not even in breach of contract yet? No other manufacturer even has a 3TH miner on the drawing board! People are wising up, realizing that Q1 was never actually a possibility. It's a lot more clear now that a Q2 delivery is unprofitable. So please, don't request a refund. It's more coins for me.

Hello fellow miners, I was looking around and researching to buy a mining machine today. All what I found are a bunch or scam websites and many pre-order websites. Where can I buy today a 1+ or 2+ terahash machine? I only found VNC but can't really tell if they are legit. Price is not an issue, I just want a real company and hardware that can ship today. Any help or advice will be appreciated. Does have to be a single machine? Why not just get 5-10 200 GH/s machines? That's your best availability *and* price now.

I have 4 neptunes on order from the previous customer batch. At this point, they still look like a solid purchase. Each one was around 10BTC.
Think again. $40k gets you 5 TH delivered next week. By the time you get the Neptunes, difficulty will be much higher. 5 TH now is far more profitable than 12 TH several months from now.

Secondly, there is no point posting updates unless something has actually changed, it's not like a newspaper where you have daily space to fill.
One of two things has happened since their last update. 1. They taped-out and have a chance to still deliver on time. 2. They missed the tape-out date and thus cannot deliver on time. 99% chance #2 has happened.

How long would you guys be willing to pay for a 675GH Jupiter @ $2250? What month would be your cut off point?
That is essentially how much a $10K Neptune breaks down in value @ 3TH. Man $13K sounds like such a bad deal. That would be $2925 for a 675GH Jupiter...in Q2?
By the beginning of Q2 $2000 is already too expensive. By late-Q2 it'll be horrible.

Edit one file and it'll do 200, easy.

Also, I paid direct to a wallet address. No Bitpay involved.
You can pick up 400 GH/s now for 3.8 BTC. How many BTC did your Baby Jet cost?

Sure if everyone else delivers as promised but delays always crop up. Took BFL 6 months to sort out their chip and board problems last time. A mining machine in the hand is worth two the bush, thats why they sell for double on eBay. That's why Bitmain is the go-to manufacturer. They are shipping 180-200 GH/s units immediately, for 1.9 BTC. Why pay more for something delivered nearly a month from now?!
|
|
|
That would be a decent price if they were actually in-stock and shipped immediately. But they're quoting 3-weeks until shipping, at which point it's a pretty bad deal.

antminer is at 1.9 btc for 190GH(after easy OC), that's exactly 0.01 BTC/GH. cointerra is 2000GH for $6000 or 6.6BTC, that's ~ 0.0033BTC. So the very first shipments from cointerra will have a 3X discount to the current market price.
Who paid 6.6 BTC for the first batch???

Poor little Bick, Syke, LittleD, et al do everything I want them to do whenever I want them to do it and they think it's their own idea.
Always happy to help. Let me try to boost your sales again. BFL: 230 GH/s for $4255, may ship soon, $18.5 per GH/s. Bitmain: 180 GH/s for $1586 (1.9 btc @ $835), ships within days, $8.8 per GH/s. Buy BFL! They're twice as expensive!

Anyway, price is too high for regular people to buy, too high to be used in small transaction like pizza
I bought pizza for bitcoins for lunch on Friday. I'm pretty regular. Guess the price is not too high after all.
