2521  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Best Trading Platforms that allow Profit share on: October 18, 2022, 10:34:30 AM
But they will charge 10% for the profitable trades (https://stormgain.com/profit-share)? lol not worth it.
I'm surprised to see that someone wants a zero commission for each of his trades then wants a 10% taken for his profitable trades. It doesn't make sense, someone who's profitable wouldn't mind to pay the fee for those cents of commissions.
Also, this is an exchange that's hard to trust. If it's just heard somewhere else and still not that reputable at all, I'll stick to the exchanges that I'm familiar with and tested already.

2523  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Mining still worth it? on: October 17, 2022, 11:22:37 PM
Understand if its my own risk. Currently im just looking for another income to sustain. I'm mostly a gamer playing D2, LoL etc.
Not worth it to mine as of the moment. You'll get mostly negative from the profits that you'll make in mining because the electricity consumption is where it's mostly going. If you have a free electricity and it's coming from a renewable source or you've got solar panels then it's still profitable to you. But, if you have no free electricity and you have to pay for it then you better just look for something else where you can earn from your hobby of gaming, like offering yourself to play with some people who are looking for a duo or lonely folks that don't have friends.
2524  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you be influenced by your favourite celebrity? on: October 17, 2022, 10:20:56 PM
I always instill in my mind that don't trust anyone 100% so you won't be disappointed. artists or anyone we idolize has their own thoughts about their choices, if we follow that then it's the same as bringing our choices to the brink
That's a good approach, don't let someone affect your betting strategy. If you're betting, do it wholly on your own and don't be influenced by the celebrities.
These celebs don't mind betting a lot and losing it on an instant because they've got a lot of money to bet with and somehow it could just be a promo from the casino that they're partnered with.
Don't be too careless when it's come to your betting needs and as well as being a fan boy of a celebrity.
2525  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A painter received $50 worth of bitcoin on June 2013. on: October 17, 2022, 10:37:01 AM
The painter's case is one of the few exceptional cases we've seen about accidental Bitcoin hodlers who profited. There are cases of those who lost their wallets or couldn't remember where they kept their seedphrases or PKey and as such lost every access to their wealth. However, why would the painter still want to locate the man who sent her the Bitcoin is what doesn't make sense to me. She ought to silently and quietly bask in the euphoria of her new found wealth and not expose herself.
I guess she's that just thankful and grateful that she's been pursued by that guy to receive bitcoin. Well, even me, if someone has pushed me for something that I have no idea at all and it ended up very well and profitable. I'd be grateful to that person and would do something to his favor in return.

Well, at first I thought it was all bullshit.. because the price looked wrong for the period... but I guess I was wrong... it could be factually correct. The Bitcoin price was around $13.28 at the beginning of the year and then it went up quickly to $30 in the first quarter of the year and it ended at about $100 at the end of the year.  Wink

I guess she would have pissed her panties if she sold those bitcoins when the price was at a ATH of $60 000+ a while ago. If she was clever.... she will wait until the price reach a new ATH.... and sell then.  Wink
I've watched it many times and calculated based on the information that she has mentioned and it seems really factual at all and I've obliged and believed that the story is true. And not just sort of content creator things just to push for some contents to upload on her channel. As for the follow up about her selling it, maybe she should make a video about what she did then next.

This is a turnaround story, though then it wasn't easy and i believe after receiving such payment she saved her login details properly, looking at 2013 till date about 9 years ago not everyone who could do this or possible being active with their phrase or keys and she maintain having 1btc till date, do you think she sold already or still holding?
No idea but hopefully she's still holding it or if she sold then hopefully that it was on $60k and up.

I call her lucky because she still keeps the bitcoins until the price reaches $39k. It changed her life into someone with a lot of money and she can use that money to improve her life. I wonder if she still uses bitcoin and makes it her investment or has even sold her bitcoins to look for another type of investment. I didn't find any videos explaining her using bitcoins or keeping some satoshi for long term investments. But she is indeed a very lucky woman whom we rarely see.
We all have no idea but with that experience she's got. I'm sure that she's definitely open to things about bitcoin or if another donator would ask her to receive bitcoin and possibly any other top altcoins.

Wow, that's an amazing story. The fact that the painter was still able to recollect that she had held bitcoin and the fact that she was still able to access the account in which she held the bitcoin is really amazing.
She must be really lucky that she got the access to her bitcoin. I just hope that she moved it to a non-custodial wallet because we never know if blockchain.com can be trusted with that amount.
Yeah, she's totally in luck with how long she has held that bitcoin given to her. And to know that we're aware that many folks were not able to recover their bitcoin from the past, she's one of the few that managed to successfully sell it at ATH.

Like this huge amount of crypto currency was staged on various wallets from 2013.The people from America was lucky enough to had their huge amount of bitcoin in their wallets. This story was interesting, because a poor man who do work for just 50$.With his luck,he had got the money of 65*1000 times of money from it.For this reason people was crazy about the crypto currency as compared to the live gold assets in the box of Steel in your own house.
She's not poor, she's making free paintings to her audiences and then the bitcoiner guy offered her to receive a donation in the form of bitcoin worth $50 = 1 BTC and she obliged and even studied and taught by that guy on how to make a wallet and stuff if it's real money.

if he still holds bitcoin he might be lucky for him for holding it, I hope he keeps his bitcoin up to $100k and doesn't rush to sell it because he panicked to see the price drop, enough to not see the market price for the next few years front
We all want to see other people holding bitcoin for so long. While hopefully, we're also applying that desire to ourselves that we should hold until the price of bitcoin exceeds that expectation that we've been waiting for.

Good for her! I know a friend who unfortunately forgot the password to his wallet from 2013.  Grin
Well, too many stories we knew that they've forgotten their private keys or seeds.

What A lucky man , If i were to receive at that moment? or if I even knew bitcoin that time? I would offer more paintings in return for Bitcoin  Grin
but like what is being said ? that if it is for you then its you.

50$ in bitcoin 9 years ago is indeed High price now, hope that he kept that bitcoin till the end of 2021 in which surely he made a 4-5 figures by  now.
She's a woman though. She's been appreciated by that guy because the logo she made was also great then so she deserve it. If we're going to think of it right now and recognize it as a bought painting, well, she just sold it for $39k at the time when that video was uploaded.

This simply shows the power of hodling the Bitcoin.People often criticize Bitcoin after they burn their hands while buying at highs and selling at lows, but true growth occurs only with time, be it Bitcoin or say anything else in life. True growth needs patience and diligence..

Lucky painter...
I couldn't agree more.
It's true that in investing, be it bitcoin or any other investments, patience is a must and this woman didn't even thought that she's patient enough to look at it back afrer several years has passed.
2526  Economy / Economics / Re: Global recession alarm, safe money on: October 16, 2022, 11:44:45 PM
Then what is the solution? As countries in the world agree to lock down their people, so we agree that Bitcoin is the king of crypto, and make Bitcoin the main investment base, so the whole world will invest there, and the price of Bitcoin will be high.
It's the main base for us since we've been here and we know how important bitcoin to us. But to some investors that wants to diversify their investments, they'll not going to all in for bitcoin.
They'd go for traditional investing assets and diversification is what they do. I've seen people that don't like to invest in bitcoin and they're telling they want to play on the safer side which is to go for the usual investments, not crypto.
2527  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Survey] Do you still play or stop the game? on: October 16, 2022, 10:52:36 PM
It's no brainer for me that I'll stop and will just have to secure the profit and enjoy it and go back to zero again after spending those winnings that I've got. It's better to enjoy and have fun with it rather than feeling sorry and sad of losing it back to the casino when you're able to spend it back then.

Money isn't evil at all, it is the love for money that a person will do evil thing just to get it.
That's also what I have been noticing with people using that verse, they're forgetting about the keyword there, "love".
2528  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does everyone want bitcoin to be stable in price? on: October 16, 2022, 09:52:44 PM
the reason why many people are attracted on this market is because of the volatility factor of btc. if you remove this feature and btc becomes stable, yes, it may be good for payment method and other things. but the traders and other investors, will wane their interest and so this may affect the price.
That's true, majority of the people that have started to invest in bitcoin is because of its volatility. Without, many will choose another investment where they can have that opportunity to see the rise of it and make their investment appreciate overtime.

i don't think everyone wants a stable price. but less volatility may be favoured.
There are some that likes it to be stable but when they say that, they've bought at the bottom and want it to see stable at an ATH price so that's still a win for them.
2529  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ledger live Ethereum Gas fee on: October 16, 2022, 08:50:46 PM
Not sure if it is worth it may just hold Quant a while longer see if it can reach £200
If  you need the money then transfer and sell it but if not, let it sit there for a while.

I would agree on this, if @op feels that the market of quant will surge then he can always have the option to hold, or you can sell part of your holdings in order to at least take profit then hold the other part for possible price surge in the future.

@OP, you can always try to buy at centralized exchanges, Binance has a cheap withdrawal processing fee so you can try buying on that exchange or try what tabas suggested.
Yeah, he can just prepare the Ethereum just for the fee if ever he wants to transfers. That's all he need to have so that he can transfer and sell it immediately if he want it too.
He doesn't have to rush if there's no immediate need for him to sell that. But if the circumstance permits it and he truly needs it, then he can just buy on those usual exchanges that we used to have.
2530  Economy / Economics / Re: Savings during inflation on: October 15, 2022, 11:02:58 PM
The only currencies I'm trusting to hold are cryptocurrencies, and a little bit regretful already for not selling them last year. Fiat currencies we have to spend and invest in something solid which can gain value within time, that is what I have been taught despite inflation.
I've been following the strategy of rich folks and I've got one mistake of not having cash ready as this event isn't anticipated by me. Most of my investments are in cryptocurrencies and I've got not that much cash at all. Because if I've got, even if there's an inflation, it's the best time to buy other traditional assets for which some are starting to depreciate due to it.

The sooner you learn this lesson the better, so you won't regret your decisions when you see the purchasing power of your savings decreasing considerably after a year or two.

Buy a house, an apartment, a piece of land (preferentially with water source) if you have enough money, but don't hold fiat for too long.
That's the other side that I can see if you've got cash ready, you're prepared to buy assets like real estates which can be used later for passive income through rental.
2531  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ledger live Ethereum Gas fee on: October 15, 2022, 09:53:58 PM
What is the cheapest way of me doing this considering I do not own any Eth?
Buy it on some swap exchanges like fixedfloat.

Is my only choice to buy some Eth on Coinbase and trasnfer it to my Ledger?
As I've said, it can also be from swap exchanges that you won't have to trade that much. But if you have ETH on your Coinbase account then send it to your Ledger.

Not sure if it is worth it may just hold Quant a while longer see if it can reach £200
If  you need the money then transfer and sell it but if not, let it sit there for a while.
2532  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What contests do you want to see on the Dice platform? on: October 15, 2022, 10:41:02 AM
despite it being common in dice games, a wagering contest would still be a good choice. others have mentioned a win streak, which I think is a good choice too. anyway, reading the majority of the posts I'd be fine with what you would choose here and put it on your gambling site.
Undeniably, wagering contest is still a clicking strategy for a dice site if they want to gain attention from the masses. Whether the prize is just a few hundreds to thousand of bucks, that won't matter as long as it is a competition and there's an awaiting prize for the winner.
People will come to join and compete for that prize for sure. Because I've seen a wagering competition with a thousands in prize and it's surprising to see those competitors with how much they've wagered.
2533  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A painter received $50 worth of bitcoin on June 2013. on: October 15, 2022, 07:13:14 AM
Interestingly enough, this is like DavinciJ15 the YouTuber who literally begged people to buy bitcoin at $1. Well, that is not bad since even as of now, bitcoin is still in the nascent stages considering its market cap. If you think 5 years into the future, you will realize that there is plenty of money to be made in Bitcoin. Invest now.
I know him and also followed him on his YouTube channel but I've just found that video of it too late. He's one of those that have been doing things on his own of promoting bitcoin but most likely only a few listened to his advices. Just like what he has been telling before, if people will do the same thing as what they've done before, there's still space that they can make money on it in the future.

The happy part of this story is that the said painter still remembers that someone once sends her $50 worth of bitcoin in her blockchain account around 2013.

In life, every little thing given to us by someone as an appreciation for our good deeds should be valued and kept safe no matter how small it is. Had it been the painter didn't remember her blockchain account password, that would have been a terrible ordeal that she will live not to forget in life.

This is supposed to serve as a lesson, that every little thing we accumulate in crypto, will someday surprise us in price when we didn't expect
Well, she's indebted to that guy because he insisted that she has to learn about the basics of accepting bitcoin since he's appreciating his artworks and even asked to make a bitcoin logo. It's going to be a different story if she has forgotten his login credentials for her account that contains bitcoin.

Epic story op. The painter was rewarded in the best way possible though she should be careful with the amount if she is still HODLING it since she is easy prey for hackers who lurk around in the darkness here and there.
I guess that after or before posting the video, she's got some enough knowledge already on how to keep it properly and how to avoid hackers that might randomly approach her about the bitcoin she has received years ago.

Many BTC HODLERS earned big money by completely forgetting about their initial investment in this manner. Lucky people!
We're unnoticingly doing the same thing by just simply holding although we don't intend to forget it. :p

I've seen the story of the painter who unexpected have a bitcoin on his coinbase account before since as far as I remember it was shared here in this forum. But this story of DavinciJ15 is pretty new to me, What a move he did back then. Imagine if someone did his advise, I'm sure that he will treasure davincij15 advise for his whole life. I just saw the youtube shorts and I think above $100,000 is a good speculation since the community is hungry to reach that price point.
There could be some other guys that have been doing the same thing as davincij and the same experience that hasn't been published yet just as Ali's.
2534  Economy / Economics / Re: How to be more effective working remotely. on: October 15, 2022, 05:28:59 AM
Working in remote area is not an easy task because to me it just the advance method of slavery. I prefer to be self employed because it gives me freedom, but becoming an independent is not easy, many try and fail. It all requires patient.
Well, let's don't have that mindset that employees are slaves. We all know that fact that they're working for a company or employer and for the others that are not on their situations might say that it's the modern slavery. Yes, you're self employed and that's good on you but not everyone can be on that situation. Although just as you've said that it requires patience and some that would like to be in that shoe will have to endure many things because going up to that point. Working remotely has been one of the best features for employees as they can be at their homes while working at their own comfort.
2535  Economy / Gambling / Re: To what extent do you chase anonymity while gambling? on: October 14, 2022, 01:32:13 PM
I think almost all gambling sites that use crypto have implemented kyc for users, so anonymity is no longer important if we want to play online gambling. the most important thing now is the convenience when withdrawing and depositing is very easy to do without having to wait long.
There are still some that are considerate with their players but it's only for those that gamble with a very few amount. They don't mind to ask those players because they're not big time gamblers so they allow them to gamble freely without even asked for their identities.
However, it's true that most of them these days are asking for kyc and they're mandated to do that even if they don't want to by the regulators where they're registered.
2536  Economy / Economics / Re: JP Morgan CEO, Jamie Dimon, another Charlie Munger? on: October 14, 2022, 12:41:06 PM
IIRC, Jamie Dimon has said that in 2018 and then eventually changed it into likely a bitcoin lover but again there's another change. It's not a problem actually.
It's much better that we're seeing people who have bashed bitcoin and then eventually became one of us and started to buy and not just for themselves but for the company that they own.
It can also be a strategy for them to give fear to the market so that there will be a massive sell out for which will be used by them as an opportunity to buy more.

2538  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Split the prize or Reroll? on: October 13, 2022, 07:50:16 PM
I'll agree to split the prize if the other winner is suggesting that. Well, it should be a mutual agreement and it's better to be happy with other people if you're both eligible with the prize than to reroll it and might just lose it.
The mindset that I have is to share it and be happy together because the risk isn't gone if I reroll it and that prize even if it's the half share, it could be wasted and opportunity might be gone and both of us will just lose it.
2539  Economy / Economics / Re: Have you felt the impact of inflation so far? on: October 13, 2022, 06:43:20 PM
True, on my case and for the case of many other. Inflation is totally felt by many and that's why this is a world crisis that we can't avoid. Everyone is simply affected except the rich folks. From the poor to average people, we're all affected and noticed it.
Consuming goods have became expensive, continuous oil price hikes and it seems that it won't stop at all. While we spend a few bucks before, there can be many basic needs that it can be filled, now, you'll have to pay more because of the inflation.
Even in this case not a few rich people are also affected.
Regardless of anything, don't think that the rich don't care about their money because it's a fact that I think the rich are still very much affected by inflation.
Currently in my area a lot of people complain even from all walks of life not only the poor because they feel the difference in prices of some products, especially in terms of food and this is the result of rising prices caused by inflation.
Not a few of them are also rich people which makes me pretty sure that it's not only the little people who are having trouble now.
Well, the rich are making more money during the higher inflation or crisis because they've got a lot of stack of cash to buy those assets that are falling because of it.
And on the next recovery, that's where they're being rewarded when things have come back to normal and recovered very well. So, let's just say those incredibly rich are the ones that's making a lot and almost not affected and the rich that are down to their level are also affected but not a lot and far from the poor to average earning people.
2540  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk Back To Promoting Doge as a Payment Method for New Cologne on: October 13, 2022, 05:28:54 PM
Well, Elon shills for meme coins but can't even accept it. If majority of his followers will see that pattern, they should get enough of him.
He's all for the hype and he understands his influence that can bring to the market but if it's about showing his balls of accepting dogecoin for selling his Tesla's as an example, he can't do that.
after buying twitter, Elon will probably make Doge even more famous on Twitter where the crypto community is more active there, I think Dogecoin as long as there is Elon will continue to survive this bear market even though it doesn't drop too far from other altcoins, I hold Dogecoin because i believe dogecoin will be worth over $1 in the future, just keep more now buy it under $0.1
We will see that but it seems that he understands that the market is in bear and even if he tries to Tweet, that will have bare effect on its price.
