2521  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Question to community_Kenneth B. Moon on: February 27, 2022, 07:52:12 AM
Hello everyone i have a general question for the community and hope someone could help me out.

Q:

I am a professional artist wishing to leave the NYC location, And yes I like to work in the Bitcoin community from here on.
A few folks already know of my work as a BTC artist.

Any suggestions?

Thank you everyone!

BTC Moon

Seeing your last posts I can see that you are an artist who designs artworks based on bitcoin.
You also create designs for NFT which is already a good thing that you can showcase.
All you need is proper advertising and marketing about your skills. You can use the services section on this forum.
Create a thread just like how others are showcasing their talent and post it as a service you can provide.
You can also create a website and post all your designs there and then advertise about it on this forum, twitter, discord and other social media platforms.
The people who find your designs attractive will reach out to you. You can also join various crypto discord servers and ask the team to review your designs.
2522  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin: The volume of exchanges on crypto exchanges explodes in Ukraine on: February 27, 2022, 07:40:50 AM
I have been saying that the drop was purely market manipulation and if anything during uncertain times people buy more bitcoin rather than selling it. Whether they are right in the middle of the conflict and having their economy collapsing (like Ukraine or even Russia) or other parts of the world and worry about their economy is dumping like the crashes we saw in a couple of stock markets.

Those who call bitcoin a "high risk asset" are either too zoomed in at hourly charts instead of long term, or have no idea what they are talking about while spreading FUD.

Bitcoin and I would also add Gold to the list which people buy the most during such events of crisis.
But since Gold is a physical asset and carrying it out in such crisis is a very big risk, this leaves bitcoin to be the most safe asset to be bought.
As we see more times like these (Covid pandemic, Russia-Ukriane war etc...) bitcoin is proving is true potential of "owning" the asset of value.
What I am confused is that the price of it is still under $40k whereas it should have crossed $45k already since more people are buying bitcoin these days.
2523  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You Must be Over 18 years on: February 27, 2022, 07:30:42 AM
I read every Internet gambling had requirements that must be over 18 years. if a child is under that age, how did the website owner know that child was enough to age?. Because I was explored every Internet gambling here that almost didn't require uploading an ID card. A child could be lying by clicking correct sign under the register box.

I personally think it's just for a formality that the casino sites put the condition of being over 18.
You would have noticed the same thing on porn sites as well. They also ask you if you are over 18.
Teenagers still click on Yes and watch the porn. Probably, that's what most of us here would have done  Wink
This way the authorities cannot blame the site owners because they did ask you if you were over 18.
2524  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Casino & Sportsbook | Instant BTC,ETH & LTC withdraws | VIP | on: February 27, 2022, 06:58:52 AM

Correct your quote reply as you have missed the last closing bracket and it seems like you have not replied anything so make the corrections.

Yes there are some reputed casinos who have threads on this forum and they hear to the issues and complaints of players and also try to resolve most of them as there could be problems on both sides but if someone simply claims they are not happy then casino can't do anything.Managers like @Hhampuz are aslo willing to resolve any issues as soon possible.

Sorry, just corrected my previous post!

A forum as this also helps when there are complaints as this community can put some pressure on the sites. I had an issue with another site and live chat said that they couldn't do anything for me. Posted my issue in the thread and the administrator directly send me a message to solve it!
Right they have reputation over the forum and have large group of players on their casino from the forum so they don't want anything bad happening to them as it will directly affect their profits. They will listen to forum members and managers engagement can put pressure over them to resolve it but the issue must be genuine and you should have proofs for it.

The forum indeed brings a good amount of traffic to their casino site and they would definitely not want any kind of bad reputation on this forum.
This is the reason why they acknowledge the issues by users on this forum at priority. Posting genuine issues here is a benefit both for the user as well as the casino site.
The user gets his query resolved quickly and this leaves a good review for the casino site since they resolved the query quickly on this forum.
Seeing this many users get attracted to the casino site since customer service is the first thing most people look at while joining a casino site.
2525  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Recent events should make everyone withdraw all their coins to their own wallets on: February 26, 2022, 04:23:07 PM
You are very correct. The current situation is really an eye opener for many and this may boost the adoption of bitcoin once the dust settles.
People are literally standing in long queues outside ATMs while most ATMs are out of money.
I even read that few people used bitcoin to buy a car to flee out of Ukraine. Now this gives me shivers as to how bad the condition would be out there.
Bitcoin would have helped so many people in buying things during such a crisis.
2526  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hope Vs Realty of bitcoin on: February 26, 2022, 04:15:58 PM
Many people think that bitcoin should move up in a straight line but this is not how the market works. Markets may show us many up and down before moving up and sadly people are not ready for these movements and sell their bitcoin before it reaches the all time high.

snip

That's the worst diagram I have seen to display what the reality is. I get your point on how trading really is.
But you could have used a better image to post. The reality diagram has some points on the picture where the line is moving backwards and then again upwards.
In reality, the charts never go backwards. In fact you could have used the original bitcoin chart zoomed out to max itself.
2527  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A little reminder why Bitcoin is necessary on: February 26, 2022, 04:08:53 PM
If you hold a bitcoin or even a fraction of it, you are basically "own" your money. Nobody else has the right to restrict your access to it and you can spend it whenever you want.
Even the current crisis in Ukraine has forced many people to depend on bitcoin as a source of payment for various things.
Although most people are holding bitcoin because of it's speculative behavior, it still proves it true potential when times like this occurs.
2528  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A thing worst than "don't trade with your emotion" a trader should avoid on: February 26, 2022, 03:09:31 PM
There's a popular trading adage that says you shouldn't trade with emotion since it might lead to wrong decisions about when to buy and sell, but I think there is a worse thing than emotion.
Some YouTube channels are excellent evaluators who will never be biased in their judgments, they will tell you everything, even the fair fundamental and technical aspects of everything you need to hear, but some are so bad that I get irritated when I see their YouTube video thumbnail.
As a trader, you should trade with all of the knowledge you have obtained, your actions and targets should be based on your discoveries, not whether bitcoin will increase by 100x or by a million.

snip

Shillings and hype are good sometimes, they might have their influence on bitcoin/Altcoins growth but I think it's not good to follow their steps because they say it will 100x, they are overdoing it and it doesn't help traders.
Be focused on your own findings and make a clear decision on your trades.

It's funny how most of the thumbnails have people in them with their mouth wide open showing that they are astonished about it.
But in reality they would have clicked so many pics in that pose to choose the most enthusiastic one.
Youtubers are too good at their game on making people believe their emotions and the content they provide in their videos.
As you say, traders must trade on the knowledge they have obtained and practice and not such emotions especially from these videos.

Moving further downwards FUN token is now at 22 sats and this is the lowest I have seen.
I wanted to bet on BTC price and was waiting for the last day but this time again I didn't keep a track of time.
Eventually I missed out on the price prediction but I guess it was good that I missed it since the sudden change has made price prediction complicated.

I have already seen a lower price than that for the FUN tokens. We got a (random) spike some time ago, but since then the price remains low.
Same as you, I am glad I didn't bet on BTC (or ETH) price as right now it is super volatile and it can quickly turn.

It is a very good time to accumulate fun tokens. Also if you have fun token you can participate in many competitions like this Dplay one.

Just one more day left and we have a very good chance to win 3500 fun tokens if we rank between 4 to 10 spots. I am not aiming to be the lucky one at a first spot that will win 88,000 fun tokens.

Is there any link that you would like to share to land on this page ? I do have some FUN tokens in my freebitco.in account.
Does this competition require us to hold the FUN tokens in Dplay account or can we take part in it from freebitco.in account as well ?
2530  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best future type of trading on: February 25, 2022, 04:38:19 PM
Let us assume there are 3 types of trading, which are:

  • scalping trading
  • day trading
  • swing trading

These type of trading js applied while trading future derivatives. I assume for liquidation not to occur, I am using bitcoin for this purpose, altcoins price can be too volatile. Or we should use nothing more than 1x leverage for altcoins, but using 2x or 3x for bitcoin.

Although, I personally use bitcoin when I have lost too much even with 3x leverage while trading altcoins, I changed it to bitcoin because it makes liquidation harder and more impossible unless the market is extremely volatile which is not usually the case but it can happen.

That is my opinion, we all have different opinions about trading, taking your opinion into this in future market, which trading type have you been able to make profit.

I am beginning to think scalping is very risky unless the market price of a coin has increased significantly and you short it, or decreased significantly and you long it. Which trading type is most profitable for you, is it scalping, day trading or swing trading?

I have done day trading many times but I am mostly into swing trading and yes you are correct that altcoins with more than 2x involves higher chances of liquidations.
I have faced some liquidations myself and lost some amount of money due to futures. I think spot trading is good for me.
Scalping requires frequent trades on a short time interval since crypto is volatile I didn't even think of doing scalping here.
2531  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New and emerging Cryptocurrencies? on: February 25, 2022, 04:30:08 PM
There are so many sources from where you can get news about various new coins that are getting introduced.
The first source is this forum itself. You can go to Announcements to look for the new projects getting developed.
You can also join various social media platforms like discord, twitter, telegram to get info on new coins.
If you are on binance then you can look into their launchpad which gives you the ability to invest in new coins.

Note : But beware that not all new coins are gonna get you rich. In fact 99% of them will make you losses. So do your research well before you invest in any coin.
2532  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How many exchange accounts do you need to daytrade? on: February 25, 2022, 04:19:14 PM
You will need a well established and full fledged exchange if you want to day trade particular coins.
If those coins are not in your region then you will have to use VPNs to get access to those exchanges but since most of them now use KYC your options are very limited.
You can use a P2P exchange/decentralized exchange and day trade the coin.
But again, the best option is to get the KYC done on an exchange which works for your region.
2533  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto stuck in sports betting site, now they want KYC on: February 25, 2022, 04:13:22 PM
If the casino site has already mentioned in their terms and conditions then it becomes our fault not to read it.
We simply can't blame the casino because we were too lazy to read the their terms.
On the other hand if their terms and conditions is mentioning something vaguely then we can argue with them over the same.
I think arguing doesn't either help because in the end it was still their casino and you are just a player and I think it is also written in the terms that they can do what they want and if your not going agree with it, you better not continue but you still continue because you did not read everything what is written in the terms.

Even if we are just a player if the casino has mentioned something very vaguely which they are taking to their advantage then we do have the right to argue with them.
Ofcourse they are going to win the debate since most of the casinos put a clause in their terms that they have the right to remove or modify any of their rules.

Quote
Reading the terms and condition may seem to be impossible for us but I think there are really people that can dedicate their time just to read every word that is written in the ToS. They just want to make sure that everything is fine before they proceed because they are also gambling with huge amount of money.

I think only the people who has the job of writing terms and conditions are the ones reading it word by word.
Nobody else would be reading it so carefully  Grin

Today Russia started invasion at least that is what I am seeing in TV and the price of Bitcoin was just a couple of minutes ago below 35.000 dollars although now it is again over 35.000 dollars. The betting is becoming interesting for the end of the month prediction price as there are only 4 days to go and this changed everything making Bitcoin go down 5000 dollars in price in a matter of few hours.Let's see what happens but the odds should have changed a lot based on this global event.

I think the biggest consequences are still yet to come. All depends on reaction from EU and US. Or no real reaction, like it was with Crimea.
On the other hand, FUN goes down too, and now costs $0.0076 (-24% in month), but is quite stable in relation to BTC (23 sat).

2535  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hypothetically keeping your bitcoin when you die? on: February 24, 2022, 03:42:02 PM
Speaking hypothetically even if consider humans have learnt how to bring back people from frozen state who would be there to pay the expense of getting you unfrozen ?
Even if someone paid the bills for that and gets you unfrozen what are the chances that you will survive well or will remember everything
What if bitcoin failed terribly and people have even forgot about it ?
Even then if we consider everything goes well, may be being a billionaire is not such bug deal in future since people will start earning more and spending more.
Even after that may be you become the wealthiest person what if someone steals your money or gets you killed for it.
There are too many hypothetical situations that can occur.
2536  Economy / Economics / Re: Russia - Ukraine | War imminent? on: February 24, 2022, 03:26:23 PM
Things are getting heated as we speak about the Russia Ukraine conflict. I hope violence shouldn't go to an extent were innocent lives are killed.
Although Russia has declared a fight against Ukraine I hope things settle down soon. May be both parties will come to a mutual understanding.

As for bitcoin, Russia has many BTC holders and may be they are in a state of panic which has caused the selling.
But eventually the dust will settle and we will bitcoin price increasing again. It's just a matter of time.
2537  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto stuck in sports betting site, now they want KYC on: February 24, 2022, 06:33:17 AM
Would everyone these days read every condition from A to Z? I do not think so. It is also a matter of trust and reputation.

Then who to blame? The site? Those terms are already listed on the site right after it went live.

Admit it, we should be the one to blame for why we are not reading the Terms and Conditions because WE MAKE IT A HABIT which should be not.

Ignorance excuses no one.

You are absolutely correct. If the casino site has already mentioned in their terms and conditions then it becomes our fault not to read it.
We simply can't blame the casino because we were too lazy to read the their terms.
On the other hand if their terms and conditions is mentioning something vaguely then we can argue with them over the same.

You are right. I didn't even notice that before you made this post. I wonder why they have restricted to get the WoF spins to just 1 a day.
At least 10 - 20 spins a day would be so thrilling.

It's actually restricted based on how much you wager. If as I did in the old days you wager a lot you can exchange 100.

Would you be able to share with us how much wager we need to increase the number of spins per day by exchanging for RPs? I mean, how many WoF spins can we get in exchange for RPs?

All wagering requirements are a ratio against your total free winnings so it's different for everyone.

And it's not permanent, so we have to wager&bet before exchanging rp to wof because it resets to 1 everyday.
I could get 8 wofs yesterday, and now it's 1 again.

Now that's quite interesting. Resetting it to 1 everyday will force the users to keep betting and wagering everyday.
I will try to make some bets on multiply BTC and verify how many bets would it require for me to wager an amount that would give me 2 WoF spins in exchange for RP.
2539  Economy / Speculation / Re: How come BTC is not at least $75,000 yet? on: February 22, 2022, 01:39:15 PM
IMO it's undervalued at the moment. The fair value of Bitcoin based on log curves is somewhere around 40k USD. This doesn't mean we can't go lower, we can and we will because bitcoin often goes above and below the fair value but keep in mind that in 2018 that fair value was around 5k USD, so there was not much room to the downside. Like at this point we can go lower but 30k would be a bargain at this point and traders know it. At the same time 50k is just around the corner. Every time Bitcoin went below the fair value it returned above it in the next 6 months.

We did touch lower than $40k right now, I've seen it goes down to $36k the lowest so far after we have a brief run to $45k a week ago.

Definitely, it's a bargain if the price is around $30k, the question is are speculators going to buy at this current price or will still wait till the price goes down a bit more. And with the looming war, will it goes below $30k? Lots of uncertainty around, but we really need to be very wise in making our decision.

The only decision I made is to HODL strong throughout these spikes in the current market. I may be missing out on the volatility.
But I will definitely gain some greens in the long run. I personally don't think bitcoin will go below $30k.
It has a very good support at that level and its heard to breach beyond.
Currently its at $37k and I think we might see bitcoin going sideways for the next few months
2540  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finally got paid for some work in bitcoin on: February 22, 2022, 01:20:30 PM
I write apps for a living.  Someone wanted a crypto one done and they paid me in bitcoin. Living the dream.

If you write apps for a living you could have easily get paid in crypto long ago. All you need to do is announce your services to the public.
We have a services board where you can easily announce your services and people who want it can reach out to you.
That's how many are getting paid in crypto for their work. It's great that you have now begun to get paid in crypto.
You can show your samples and may get the next task assigned to you soon. All the best.
