2541  Economy / Speculation / Re: Manipulation of price will decrease soon? on: February 16, 2021, 11:18:34 PM

Manipulation I think will get worse since the big players are going to come in. They don't just have Trillions of dollars to buy coins, they could literally just buy a ton of coins and will keep manipulating till they accumulate more. But we may not be bothered especially because we already got a ton of profit when they buy.

Manipulation will be difficult when there will be more whales coming, the worse is that they mastered how to do it in the market where they're originally from.
I tend to agree if 4-5 big institution companies who adopted Bitcoin will do the same selling their Bitcoin at the same time, it could have an effect on the market price that will surely have a sudden drop price.  But if only one company will sell their Bitcoin holding, it might we didn't feel the possible pain in the market.

However, manipulation was always there in the market since then, but I think for now we need cooperation for each other to build a big community that using Bitcoin.  If everyone will use Bitcoin for example for payment or keeping this as a valuable asset, for sure the demand and supply will always matter with the price circulation which is the manipulation won't really work.
2542  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has Bitcoin Failed as Money? on: February 16, 2021, 05:29:55 PM
Use a Bitcoin wallet that supports SegWit address and also has a feature of Lightning Network, your problem might be solved regarding the fees.

Yesterday, I made a small transaction and that was $60 and the fee is almost $2 with an option of a lower fee, I think that is reasonable enough because I'm in hurry to receive my Bitcoin to my custodial wallet.  If there's someone who tends to use Bitcoin as payment, it might be good if he knows how it works to avoid being frustrated with transaction speed and the fees.

Probably it might be failed as money as of now because Bitcoin enthusiasts who held Bitcoin treated this as a valuable asset, not a daily form of payment, just because of the volatility value that makes the price fluctuate every now and then.
2543  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Portfolio tracker connecting with Atomic Wallet on: February 16, 2021, 05:15:03 PM
Thank but I have been googling for 5 hours now. Blockfolio also only allows manual transactions from wallets. I had also some problems with Blockfolio in the past
Okay, I've got your point if you didn't want to make it manually, then I think it needs for you to import in Binance using the API of a third-party tracking portfolio and I think you need this.  CoinTracking.info, has a system that has real-time reports of profit and loss and it's primarily designed for desktop use, I don't know if have a feature in mobile apps that I think isn't necessary.

For further information, you can also have a look at what I have suggested above and of course, I want you to have deep research before using them.  Feedbacks and legit reviews must be considered and also don't forget first to read the TOS.
2544  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Portfolio tracker connecting with Atomic Wallet on: February 16, 2021, 04:26:09 PM
There are a lot of crypto trackers out there if you have quick research on google.

If you meant that a coin tracker that can easy to use and very handy for you to monitor the market price movement of which coin that you have held in exchange, I recommend you to use this app, Blockfolio.  It can receive a signal update if you will turn on the notification and also get detailed market and price information of which exchange you've used.
2545  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Help I dont remember the wallet I was Using!! on: February 16, 2021, 03:42:08 PM
Every email address associated with any custodial wallets or centralized exchanges that required to have verification upon signing up can be traced on the message inbox, either also in the spam box.  OP can also check on his other email addresses as well it should be there something a verification message or notification as you registered on that wallet or exchange that you've used.

In my presumable perspective, if that is a web wallet, it might a Blockchain.com web wallet which is very common.  I'm afraid if OP used unpopular wallets which is most likely abandoned.  I think it might be good if OP give an update in here.
2546  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do ordinary people feel afraid of Bitcoin? on: February 15, 2021, 05:20:01 PM
Someone told me not long ago: Bitcoin is a dangerous game. It is even possible for some people or groups to take over the blockchain through a majority and destroy the entire mechanism. People don't know they are playing these games.
Because you even didn't know what is Bitcoin and also you didn't understand how the system works.  Why you've listened with someone, instead of having your own research, if that is a long time ago, I presume it was two years ago or more, and now, what happens to the Bitcoin price?  Have you disappointed with the multiple prices increased and doubled the price to the previous ATH?

It's totally different if you compared Bitcoin to other projects which are completely irrelevant.  If people feel afraid to invest in Bitcoin, it might they didn't understand yet.  Look, there are too many big investors who adopted Bitcoin and there are too many private business institutions of start adopt Bitcoin and using it as payment.  Do you think they're afraid?
2547  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Email extortion/blackmail for Bitcoin. on: February 15, 2021, 05:08:10 PM
Thanks for sharing this.

I think it's time to change your email account that has received extortion, transfer it to another new email address those any associated accounts like social media or Bitcoin wallet on that email address.  That's the reason I didn't even check any spam mails on my email account and always separate email address that linked into the wallet and social media accounts.  An email address that prone to this is a scam attempt that used in bounty hunting or joining airdrops, it should also be separated.

There are 9 reports on that Bitcoins address that attempt to scam that used in blackmailing in compromised email addresses.  It's good to know that there's no one who falls into the trap.
2548  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: I lost access to my old Xapo account on: February 15, 2021, 04:34:30 PM
It should be associated with one of your email accounts, kindly check them all.  Because upon accessing Xapo wallet, AFAIK, it required 5 characters for the verification code for the pin or you can reset anytime your pin if you forgot this as long as you have your email address which your Xapo wallet associated with.

So technically, you might not recover your Xapo wallet without an email address, for now, try to remember those email addresses you have, and good thing you are already contacting the support team which is the best solution for this.
2549  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Crypto recovery services scam on: February 15, 2021, 03:59:28 PM
When a person loses his coins, he will have to use some services in some cases
If I lose 4 words, I will not be able to access them. If I find a legitimate service and you won't take money from me, I will use it.

It's all based on trust. If you are afraid of losing your money, create a multi-signature wallet and trust people close to you. Otherwise, forget about your coins.
Theoretically, that is 12 words passphrase, if you lose this it will surely hard for you to recover your Bitcoin and it needs to brute force your wallet.  There's nothing you can do is to use a reputable third-party service which is possible there's a chance that your Bitcoin might recover rather than it will be stuck forever in your wallet.

No, that's not based on trust, that's based on service reputations and also the previous history or feedback from their previous clients.  How can you trust a recovery service that you didn't even know in the first place?  Basically, it needs further research for those services that offer recovery service if you didn't up to nothing.

Anyway, thanks for this output OP, I never tried this service yet but IMO, it's really to put trust in someone else.
2550  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don’t be lured by the promises of easy money! on: February 14, 2021, 11:59:43 PM
1.   If it is that easy, why doesn’t he do it himself?
2.   Why does he need my account?
3.   Why doesn’t he make his family, friends, and everyone he knows rich?
4.   What makes me so special that he needs my help and my account?
I came across the same situation like this and the bolded part above was already I experienced two years ago when someone asked my help.
There's someone asking me to withdraw his fund on the exchange that I never encounter, due to the reason that he can't withdraw his fund on that exchange due to the reason that he was restricted to use this site in his country.  Unfortunately, I get trapped, I clicked the site and register my account there and transfer his fund, but when I tend to withdraw it requires me to send the first Bitcoin 10% of the entire balance and he wanted me to borrow my Bitcoin at that time, but fortunately, I realized that is a scam.

These are true, we should apply this in our selves not to fall into the trap and if someone asks for financial purpose, think this how many times before having your decision.  Common sense will always safeguard us from those who wanted to take advantage of our greediness.
2551  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Elon talk about freewallet app on: February 14, 2021, 11:46:56 PM
At this point, Elon Musk was aware of the service that has on the Freewallet app.  And that was right, their app really sucks, it might be considered as a trap for newbies who wants to hold Bitcoin but unfortunately, they are one of the next victims of the said app.  Just because they selectively scamming people if they saw to have a disadvantage regarding the KYC part.

At least Elon Musk contributed awareness to those newbies out there to avoid using this Freewallet app for storing Bitcoin.  How shame on them, I don't know why they are still running a business even though they know that they avoided for most who already know them.  That's the response of Elon Musk is a big slap for them.
2552  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trade altcoins/BTC pairs? If yes, under which conditions? on: February 14, 2021, 11:28:54 PM
Yes, if you feel that Bitcoin was increased hardly and there's a potential altcoin to invest while the price was dropped, that's might a good chance.
But I think this is very risky, instead of gaining profit on holding Bitcoin, you will most likely lose it because the altcoin you traded with Bitcoin might drop further and never increase, at this time you need to wait for a perfect time (I'm explaining about a long term trader).

Sometimes diverting your Bitcoin into altcoins will possibly gain profit, but that is not easy as that, you need to be careful.  I'd rather hold my Bitcoin and wait until the price will surge too much in the market and then sell.  But it's up to you if you're willing to risk your Bitcoin in potential altcoins.
2553  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hello I have a deal for a week that has not been approved How do I raise the gui on: February 14, 2021, 04:57:19 PM
The comment above was right, follow that advice if you're in hurry with that transaction, but if not, you don't need to spend more dollars to cover the boosting fees.  In just 7-14 days, it will automatically arrive at the recipient wallet address if it will not drop or will be rejected into the mempool, if it will be dropped, it will return to the sender's address.

It's not for a week, it's been 4 days had already passed because that transaction made was on (2021-02-11 16:48), there's more couple of days to wait if you didn't do the suggestion above or even accelerate the transaction.

Anyway, if there's someone who will send you a PM and offer such help, never give your private key if ever they will ask.  It might scammer's eyes were on you right now.
2554  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Take caution to unstable market on: February 14, 2021, 03:56:53 PM
But the problem is, how you will determine the "normalcy" as what you've said.  The Crypto market has been volatile since then and you can't ever predict where the price goes.  And also, in which price we consider we're in normalcy stage situation of Bitcoin price, AFAIK, it's unpredictable and very volatile in the market, for sure you didn't determine where the price goes on.

As a trader, they must choose high volatility compared to low volatility, high volatility is very risky but it might be also high chances of gaining profit.  There's no need to worry about volatility if you know how to manage, your self and emotion.
2555  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Selling to lock in profit question... on: February 12, 2021, 04:37:24 PM
Would I be in a better position if I were to just hodl the coin I purchased cheaply instead of taking profit and reinvesting at the higher price than my original purchase price?
It will always depend on you.  IF you were satisfied with your current profit has, you can take it and reinvest again.  But if not and you feel it will pump more, then I suggest holding more time will be better, and of course, with proper monitoring of the Bitcoin price, we know how volatile it is because sometimes greediness will lead to experience losses.

IMO, I prefer to hold for how many years for the saving purpose, I believe that Bitcoin will always have a new ATH every 4 years just like what happened right now.  If I'm able to accumulate a large amount back then, it will surely fold two times my profit as of now.
2556  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: My etherwallet problem on: February 12, 2021, 04:10:59 PM
I assumed here that the problem of OP is the Gas fee, I did this a months ago when I was moving my old token to exchange, it required me to have a balance on my Ethereum at least $7 dollars ad far I remember, you will not hit the "send transaction" button unless if the required fees will acquire.

You can check it here always if you want to know how much the Gas fees.
https://ethgasstation.info/

It seems so high because the Ethereum network as of now is always in traffic condition.
2557  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Desktop Wallet on: February 12, 2021, 03:56:33 PM
I am looking for a good desktop wallet for Bitcoin that I can create different wallets for family members
It's free and I think even how many wallets that you wanted to create it's fine.
Read this thread with full details regarding the Desktop wallet that safe. "[General] Bitcoin Wallets - Which, what, why?", this was pinned post or belongs to sticky topics on Beginners and Help.

I prefer to use these wallets on your Desktop.

All of these wallets are open-source which most likely experts most recommended.
2558  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Which Bitcoin wallet is Best? on: February 12, 2021, 03:19:13 PM
which other bitcoin wallet is best? and which one you are using?
I admit that before I'm using this Blockchain.com wallet to receive my signature earning but fortunately, I've learned that it is good if you have control over your private key.  As they always said in a golden rule of holding Bitcoin, "Not your Keys, Not your Coins", so, I switching of to Electrum which is a free but open-source feature.

I tend to agree with @DannyHamilton, it always depends, depending on how large it is or it depends on how you trust that the wallet you've used.
For a small amount, I used Electrum and for a huge amount, it's always recommendable to use a Hardware wallet, and here is a " [BIG LIST] Hardware wallets (80+)".  You can do research on your own.
2559  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you say you made money if you never actally sell your coins? on: February 12, 2021, 03:03:52 PM
Everyone has a desired amount and a target when the right time to sell their Bitcoin, and yes, everyone has the desired amount of taking profit and it might you also.  The way to achieve that goal, you should hold until it will come and if the right time will come, and you made 5x folds profit then, that's the right time to sell.

This something you're a valuable thing seems like gold and other precious metals but Bitcoin is totally different, the price is very volatile that caused by the supply and demand, when the demand increase, it will surely become expensive in the market.

What is yours?   Huh
Mind your own and invest your own, this isn't necessary.
2560  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Any idea about this telegram trading bot? on: February 12, 2021, 02:26:24 PM
I tend to agree with the comments above and there are hundreds of them that already busted and here is the list, List of telegram scam bots.

We know that this Telegram social media is a house of scammers, so if someone will offer a sort of financial request which is typically a line of scammers such as these.
  • Demand to send a fund
  • Allow to have a deposit but were most likely have a problem upon withdrawal
  • A sweet promise, such as "Dont worry, your fund is safe"

Can anyone verify that the trading bot is safe to us and anyone withdraws INR from that trading bot before?
A trading bot is far different in exchange and it will not surely allow the users to withdraw using a trading bot, unless if that trading bot has its own exchange.  I don't want to recommend any, just research your own legitimate automated crypto trading bot and should have their own system not using a third party social media account like Telegram, it seems untrustworthy to me.

Find research here for a known [BIG LIST] Crypto Trading Bots
