On another note, can you please confirm, will all investors and players be getting a Bitcoin Gold payout after the fork on October 24th or should we be withdrawing beforehand?
Yes please reply about this. I think we all want to know what are you going to do with that otherwise be ready for a few withdrawals. Considering you gave us Bitcoin Cash I don't see why you couldn't do the same again.
On a different note, please try to fix my investing issue: waiting for a reply to my email since a while now.
Thanks

Hey there, I haven't received any word yet from the admin about the fork/BTG yet, however as soon as I receive info on it I will be sure to post it here asap so you can plan ahead for it =)

In terms of your investing issue, sorry you've been having problems with it. Can you give me a little more info as to what issues you're having with it so that I can relay the info to the proper department? Feel free to PM me on here if you'd rather keep certain info private. I'll be sure to check on here later on today to see if you've replied/PMed. Sometimes, emails will get drowned out by people sending multiple emails about the same thing over and over again. With this being said, we please ask that everyone please send one (detailed) email and be patient rather than sending messages about the same issue daily so that we can get to them all in a timely manner. Either that, or send me a PM here on bitcointalk so I can put you in queue for support. Thanks everyone, and I wish you good luck! I hope you all win big guys/gals!
There has been a server-side error a while ago that brought my investment profit down to -0.99 btc in one second and also emptied those 0.99 from my balance. Safedice restored my balance correctly (plus a small compensation) but the investing stats are still on -0.99 hence I stopped investing.
I simply want my stats to be set to zero so that I can start investing again. Easy!

Good day everybody here! Or good night depending on your time zone! 5000K reached. Let’s keep on marching. I very much enjoy this crazy ride with you guys. We are onto something big! Hold on, resist, believe.
And, as usual, a huge thank you goes to Satoshi who brought us all here.
Thank you SN

And now, in an interview with CNBC, the legendary trader
has said that he believes the value of a bitcoin will reach $10,000
in six to 10 months.

"in six to 10 months."

Everybody likes to predict the Bitcoin price these days! In any case I very much agree with the following quote I picked reading the whole thing

“Remember, bubbles happen around things that fundamentally change the way we live,” he said.
“The railroad bubble. Railroads really fundamentally changed the way we lived. The internet bubble changed the way we live. When I look forward five, 10 years, the possibilities really get your animal spirits going.”

Remember, remember the Bitcoin train!

Interesting Reddit thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/ByteBall/comments/75dkpb/byteball_has_a_name_problem/
I think the project would do well to consider renaming. Look at what hapenned with Antshares --> NEO

btw: what should be changed is the unit in exchanges. a GB is to much.

I agree with this. Changing the base trading unit over a few decimal places actually will increase volume. It is psychology. People will be more inclined to buy 1000 coins of a 17 cent coin than one 170 dollar coin. Even though they are spending same amount, they get "more" when the price is less.

There is also a puzzle maker that has been taking Bytes for his puzzles over at https://www.cubicdissection.com/ and giving a 10% discount. Is there a reason why he hasn't been added to the Cashback Program yet? In my opinion this is clearly a very reputable business and would be a good addition to the program!
I don't buy it sorry. So shall we start trading mbits instead of bitcoins? or satoshis even!
No man I don't think is that. Unfortunately, even the shittiest coins that are listed on exchanges have a marketing plan. This coin gets very low attention. I don't know if it's because of the DAG, or because it has witnesses. I really don't know.
What we all know is that our community is quite lively but we don't get much light on us. This is it
2546  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-10-10]4 Things That Can Push Bitcoin Price to $5,000 and Beyond on: October 10, 2017, 12:47:12 PM
So boring! Come on, they don't really know what to write anymore. Bitcoin is rising and it will rise more than this because of its clever design which has a fixed supply, increasing demand the most secure computational network in the world and so far and so forth. Bitcoin proved the world to be reliable after all these years on the wild Internet. Buy the dip, by the way.

Give me a pump like this and I am happy guy. Alts are shaking while all the fun move to bitcoin trading. We never get bored here and we love it. Can’t stop to watch the chart even though I would be supposed to do some work. Bitcoin and work really don’t get along well these days

In times of huge Bitcoin pumps all alt coins no matter how good they are suffer the massive power of bitcoin price rises. Byteball will have a long way to recover if bitcoin keeps going up. Dark times to hold bytes and blackbytes but it will prove to be necessary. Bitcoin is too much any coin Smiley
2549  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 09, 2017, 02:01:24 PM
We had time to buy a while ago, I think now it's too late. Now the only buying opportunities I see are LTC, ETH, XMR, and so on BUT ONLY to go back to bitcoin when the prices of those alts rises. At these prices Bitcoin is too much. Even though I must admit I am buying some decimals every month  Wink

A lot of things have already been achieved in Byteball, but a few things need to be addressed from my perspective

+ It’s on one of the big exchanges
+ Wallet GUI (accessible for non-tech savvy) and flawless chat bots
+ Wallet available on multiple platforms (Windows, Mac, linux, iOS, android)
+ Conditional payments
+ Wide distribution from the start of the project (BTC link)

Then, there are a few items that might need to be addressed moving forward
- Marketing of the coin and the entire (non-technical) communication part, e.g. what is unique in BB, use cases. Many of these topics are addressed in the whitepaper or explained somewhere in this thread, but fancy graphics reach a wider audience that whitepapers.
- Further development of the coin & roadmap: Why not actively involve the community in conceptualizing the development of this coin? Award bounties for new use cases. Stimulate interest in this coin with a sound vision.
- Loyalty of community: We saw a lot of dumping after the initial airdrops, Other products reward holders / exclude dumpers for upcoming airdrops. It’s been mentioned before, why not speeding up the distribution to avoid further price dumps (which scare off investors)

Just a few thoughts from my end.

Good recap, thanks. Rome was not built in a day. I will wait until the distribution ends to start worrying about my bytes and blackbytes. I see many applications being developed by new people here and slowly a growing adoption in terms of bytes payments. It’s about time and I am confident tonych has done us a great gift
2551  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-10-9] Malaysia’s Central Bank Could Enforce Cryptocurrency Ban on: October 09, 2017, 01:22:54 PM
We will wait for it then. Another ban bites the dust. Never-ending game this one. As long as there will be bitcoin and crypto currencies we will see and read news like these. Another big good luck to the Malaysian Central Bank to enforce this ban. The only ban that’s possible is on the third-parties.

Are you ready for $5000 by the end of this week?

27/10 vroom

no, not ready yet Smiley
We have always been ready for this since the beginning and I would say this is only the start! We are about to make it there and beyond. The train is unstoppable guys. Such exciting times for all of us: I'm only wondering about when we are going to have the next ATH and when we are going to have the next ones.
2553  Bitcoin / Press / [2017-10-08] A bit of a Bitcoin buys more than a sweater on: October 08, 2017, 08:52:03 AM
My note: this probably wins for the best surprising news source: The Worcester Telegram  Grin Grin Grin

Ever adventurous, Joy decided the only way to really get an idea of what Bitcoin was about, was to buy some. So she bought a bit.
At $4,000-plus per coin, she only bought a little bit of a Bitcoin. She bought $75 worth, which was a little less than 2 percent. With that little bit she bought a sweater from Overstock.com. It was $19.74. That left $54 worth of Bitcoin. She can go wild later.
So what is this all about? James Dimon, head of J.P. Morgan and Co., the largest bank in the U.S., says “It’s a fraud, a scam.” Well, Mr. Dimon is always worth listening to, but in this situation, he may be talking his book (his own interests), as they say in the investment biz. But the sweater is real and so was the transaction, so that wasn’t a scam. How did we get there?

Come on gentlemen, we are talking business as usual on this lovely European Sunday. Not much to expect with such low trading volumes on Kraken and BearStamp. But hey, it's Sunday and fuel comes on Monday.
Jojo don't get bored, spend it! You'll regret it later on.  All the rest crazy gentlemen here, enjoy
2555  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-10-08] Former Goldman Sachs VP Believes Bitcoin is the Next Internet on: October 08, 2017, 08:23:35 AM
Headline is confusing: either you say me that Bitcoin is gonna take over the financial world as we know it and you are happy to invest in it or you say me (which looks like the point of view here) that you Golddamn's friends have something in pipeline to replace Bitcoin soon.
What is interesting to notice is that something moves behind the scenes. And I will hold.
2556  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: October 08, 2017, 08:19:07 AM
Price drop looks much worse than it really is. Value should be accounted for in USD. Also not to mention the inflation rate which results in holders having more coins but each coin is worth less naturally.

Total market cap is the accurate depiction as to price movements for GBYTE.

snip

About 50% off from ATH

Sorry man but I totally disagree. We are in the crypto world here and what I care about is the price in terms of BTC. USD has no value to me. I do not need to see the glass half full in the way you see it.
Many coins looks good in terms of USD value, even the shittiest ones, but since I'm in crypto I've only cared about BTC prices. Or maybe I am very biased.
2557  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: the best currencies to store (hold) on: October 07, 2017, 04:54:13 PM
the best currecies to hold ?
absolutely XRP,if you can hold it for more than a years i am absolutely sure you will double your money or even more than that.
they have a steady improvement and a lot of companies implemented their system in their company.
i believe in the coming year we should see another big movement caused by them
Double your money in crypto?  Grin
You can do way more than that and certainly not with Ripple! Ripple is the hands of far too many banks right now and I don't like that. XRP is a useless coin to serve their internal and external trades. Ripple at the beginning was a really nice project. Not anymore.
2558  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: October 07, 2017, 04:16:28 PM
glad to see more cooperation companies.
Yes, at the end of the day what everbody cares about is the creation of an useful ecosystem in which Byteball serves several purposes. The Botstore is steadily growing and if more and more merchants will start to accept bytes and blackcytes we will see comeback in value. I'm grateful to tonych for his dedicated work towards a truly innovative crypto project. Time will speak for him.
2559  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-10-06] BTC price rises more than rival cryptocurrencies in third quarter on: October 07, 2017, 09:14:28 AM
I agree and I will double on your comment: if you take a look at the chart BTC/ETH on coinmarketcap you will see the following things:
1. Ethereum value in Bitcoin is very low now; after the June pump it's been going down a lot;
2. What makes the public perceive that ETH is still good in terms of price is the fact that in US dollars the value is performing well.

Point 2 is the consequence of the BTC value going UP! If BTC goes up, all the altcoins perform well in $ because BTC is outperforming any fiat currency in the world!
The only value I care for is the BTC to USD one. BTC has no competitors in the crypto world as we speak.

You know which is the horse to pick here!

can we stop going to shit pls. Roll Eyes
Who would invest in this coin except players?
Serious investors?

Without a roadmap, no investor knows where the journey is going (and the developers themselves probably don't know either).

The community also sees this coin as nothing more than a non-performing income. It is completely irrelevant that this currency should have any utility value.

You could have used the same exact words for Bitcoin a few years ago: let's be clear, I am not comparing byteball and bitcoin here, they are too different in many aspects even though they have some similarities. I'm only saying that, given the fact that this coin is one of the best non-copycats that we have out there in the crypto world, maybe we have to wait a bit more to see its true value unfolding.
Most of the holders got their bytes for free, what do you guys expect? Of course who buys wants to understand very well what this coin is for.
I'm not the one who will explain the coin features here, they are in plain sight on the OP and on the main internet site.
I only say that we still need to wait for the complete distribution of bytes to have an idea of the real value behind byteball.

As always, these are my two personal bytes.
