2541  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: May 21, 2021, 06:02:23 AM

If the suns defeat the lakers in the playoffs it will be the biggest upset of all time, the suns need to play their A-game for 7 games to do it, it will be hard since LeBron and AD have a comeback and are really fresh, it's like they take a vacation just to prepare for the playoffs the suns team have made it this far, but facing lebron and the lakers is just an impossible task in my opinion.

I don't call it a big upset as the Suns are the number 2 team while the Lakers are in rank number 7. Besides, Lakers is just a slight favorite here, they are not really big favorites like they were in the past playoffs. This is a big challenge for the Suns but they can win against the current lineup.

We saw how the Lakers struggle against the Lakers, that kind of bad game has no place against the Suns as the Suns will make sure they will play.
In addition, the Suns are hungry and Chris Paul here wants to win a championship.
2542  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING POLL ADDED] FURY vs JOSHUA: A Two Fight Deal Has Already Been Signed !! on: May 21, 2021, 05:37:02 AM
Bob Arum just stated it looks like Fury vs Wilder III is happening on 24th July 2021 BUT he also said that Usyk will beat Joshua therefore Fury and Joshua will not meet.
I hope Bob is Wrong, Fury vs Joshua will be the biggest fight and I think both fighters will never allow that to happen, hence they will train harder.

Imagine what would happen if Wilder beats Fury and at the same time Usyk beats Joshua  Grin

That's a weird scenario, but it could happen, thanks for giving us this possibility as an underdog can always pull an upset.
Still, I would go with Joshua and Fury winning their respective fights.
2543  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 21, 2021, 05:24:46 AM
I think it’s safe to say the over was hit on that Washington vs Indiana game. It was clear by midway through the third quarter this game was going to end in a massive blowout. Congrats to those who selected the over (I saw someone in the other NBA thread did). You should get bonus winnings for how high up they ran the score.
Betting on over makes you relax in that game as they both scored high, all the quarters are high scoring and they score more than 17 points of the over/under total. Also, congratulations to the winners, great game but the Wizards, the -3 was easily covered.
2544  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: reasons for bad trading on: May 20, 2021, 11:30:02 PM
it's not human nature, greed in trading there is a ridiculous thing that must be eliminated,
I'm sure everyone has their own way, because if we are greedy in trading we always do that, then you will never win,
I always remind everyone , that greed is the key to trading
Greed is part of human nature. But we all have our own ways of dealing with it. Good and experienced traders, are fine to take profits around 10%-20% and that would have it a safe profit taking.

While the newbies that just got in because of FOMO, they'll think of more than 100% profit and that leads them to lose even their own capital. It's true that it must be eliminated but it should start on our own.
To believe it was normal to anyone who wanted to achieve their goal and aiming for a better life but it should be something controllable. If we are working hard that is because we wanted more.

People got bad in trading which result in huge losses because they wanted to make their profits as fast as they can but to know that trading is not like that. They misinterpret the situation, they'll think that the market will keep surging high and neglected to see any possible dump to come. If traders thinking that way, I'm for sure that they won't stay long in trading, I'll surely seeing them leaving.
2545  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which best Altcoins to buy & HODL for some months on: May 20, 2021, 10:52:03 PM

I also sold them when crash started.
You should have to do it and never missed that good opportunity as those coins that you have are not ideal for a long-term holding, but consider this for short-term investment.

Quote
Now it seems market is picking up can you guys help with what to buy and hold and it will get good x1000 in few months
Stop chasing the x1000, you are wasting your time for this as you can never find any project that could give you this. Maybe if you start investing during the bear season there will be a chance but not this time.
What I could suggest is to invest only in potential projects.
2546  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casimero vs Rigondeaux this August 14, 2021 on: May 20, 2021, 11:47:37 AM

As i've said before, Casimero have different style than Donaire. The latter is more of a counter puncher while the former is an aggressive fighter that he will take the fight to his opponent. Rigo will be overwhelm by Casimero when bell rings as he eager to prove to his fans that Rigo will not derail his path to a big fight with the Monster.

That's correct, the style of Donaire is very simple, knock his opponent out and he will win.
I saw some of his fights that he struggles, his fight against Walters is one good example, he hit Walters good but he cannot knock him out so instead, Walters knocks him badly. Another good example was his fight with Inoue, he also has some good rounds but he cannot take down Inoue so in the later round he suffers the power of Inoue.

The Nicholas Walters fight is very different for Donaire, that's the first time that he goes up in weight and challenge the champion. And clearly he was out of his league as he gets knock out by Walters. But when he fights his division, he can clearly won.

So it's different style and we can't compare Donaire and Casimero. Rigo is a very slow starter while Casimero will go out in the first early rounds and really try to overwhelm his opponents with power punches.

Yes, Donaire tries to go up to follow the success of Manny Pacquiao but he failed, he really can't duplicate Pacquiao as he is the only one. Donaire will soon retire but we will never forget his contribution to boxing and we will always be proud of him.
2547  Economy / Speculation / Re: A moment of silence please. on: May 20, 2021, 11:32:27 AM
I think the lowest was $30k.. so have you made a purchase guys? because if you do, you make easy money as bitcoin is already back at $40k now, and that is even in less than 24 hours, easy money for those who did not panic, but a bad move for the newbies who sold due to panic.

Expect that we will see more of these in the future, it's not new to us.
2548  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: May 20, 2021, 08:19:52 AM
Biyahe ang Wizards hehehe, parang walang gana si Westbrook eh.

Warriors +5.5
Memphis -4.5 (magka-iba kami ni @Vaculin dito).

Tapos start na ng playoffs.

Pareho pa ring talo ang bet natin sa Memphis vs San Antonio game, hehe..

1-1. tayo kabayan, walang talo at walang panalo..

Muntik ng manalo ang Warriors, gumanda lang ang defense ng Lakers sa huli kaya hindi kinaya, sayang yung malaking lead nila.
2549  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is better: Ethereum or the Binance Smart Chain? on: May 19, 2021, 11:08:34 PM
For now I prefer Binance Smart Chain (BSC), because gas fees from Binance Smart Chain (BSC) are cheaper than Ethereum and transaction speed using Binance Smart Chain (BSC) is also very fast (same as Ethereum), that's why I prefer Binance Smart Chain (BSC) for current transactions, unless the gas fees from Ethereum are back to normal or become low, then I will definitely use Ethereum again, because I'm actually used to transacting using Ethereum network, but because the gas fees from Ethereum is very high for now, therefore I am not using Ethereum for my current transactions anymore and prefer to use Binance Smart Chain (BSC) at this time.
But I think as the market will be in bear season, ETH fees will also have to change and I'd never been hopeless seeing this back again. So if we can see people are currently using BSC just to save the cost but as you have said when the fees back to normal, yeah, these people will get back to ETH. I believe this was the best choice, Ethereum has been proven and trusted for so long, and I think we can't easily give up just because of the fees, coz if we are talking about a long-term investment, ETH is always on the top among altcoins.
2550  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Be Prepared for the big dump. on: May 19, 2021, 10:47:56 PM
It is likely that we are heading back again to $40k, in fact, the price is now at $39,000 plus. We mostly thought that it was the beginning of the bloodbath but somehow the market just then recover after it drops to $32k. If this recovery will continue, then we got think that the people now show such an impressive market trust that they never got into panicking but still hold and still optimistic despite the dump speculations.
2551  Economy / Speculation / A moment of silence please. on: May 19, 2021, 01:08:17 PM
Bitcoin is always bitcoin, it's very unpredictable, now, in just a span of one day, who would have thought that we are going down below $30k.

As of this writing, the price is $33k.. and more dump to come.

Would you still hold or can you still hold guys?
2552  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: May 19, 2021, 12:47:41 PM
Maaga ang unang laban 6:30 am sa tin so heto ang picks ko:

Wizards +2.5
Hornets +2.5

Goodluck at sana tumama tayo.

Puro underdog yung sayo brader, ayaw mong i ML nalang? hehe.

Bawi nalang tayo bukas.  Warriors +5 and Spurs ML...

Let's go na.
2553  Economy / Speculation / Re: Get ready for the inevitable, huge correction coming. on: May 18, 2021, 11:32:45 PM
I think that most of us are now ready to fill our bag back again. And I hope everyone will move on and accept that we are leaving the bullish season and face the crisis back again.

I'm waiting for the price to lower more where $30k is my target buying price. It could be possibly a long wait for me, maybe but if the market crash had to continue, it surely will come. But I was not looking for a possible $10k drop, that could be hard as the demand still high than in the previous years where are able to reach the bottom price at $3,800( or something).
2554  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China bans Bitcoin again in 2021 on: May 18, 2021, 11:13:00 PM
For years, China has been constantly looking for a way to ban bitcoin. There will even be those who remember, he was constantly manipulating the market with the news about banning bitcoin in the 2017-2018 bull season. When a news headline “China banned bitcoin” was published, the market was going down. I hope they will return from their ban, which is not a good thing for both the market and Chinese investors.
The news, the FUDs never gives us any surprise anymore as we keep hearing this several times. In fact, I was thinking that China is not already a part of crypto development but somehow, we are still affected by them as we know that there are numbers of the crypto mining industry in their country. Neither we don't like this to happen and never cause any downtrend but this is actually the nature of crypto and we can never change this.
2555  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 18, 2021, 12:26:09 PM
I already locked in my bet on Washington vs Boston.

I'm going Washington at ML here. They have a good chance, Westbrook and Beal are doing an excellent job so far. i got it @2.16. Let's see how it goes, I'm sure that there are also bettors looking for the underdog Wizards to pull some 'magic".  Smiley

For me, the Wizards are the ones that have the higher chance to upset Boston. Beal and Westbrook are back healthy while Boston will be without Jalen Brown, that must be the reason why the line is moving.

I'm thinking to bet for the Wizards but i have to wait for the outcome of the first game between the Pacers and Hornets. I'm backing the Pacers ML and if they win i will put all the winnings for the Wizards  Smiley.

Good luck to us.

I'm on Charlotte winning against the Pacers but I like the Boston Celtics winning at home.
Boston are only -1.5 at home, it's quite scary because maybe most bettors think that Wizards will win this game.

I just hope it's a close game so Boston will have a chance, yes no Jalen Brown but I think it's alright, they can match and win the Wizards.
For me it's a 50/50 but I'll take the home team as that's an advantage.

2557  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A common enemy in the crypto world--Elon Musk! on: May 17, 2021, 11:03:58 PM
Too much trust and confidence that we put into Elon Musk and Tesla could help the market to grow as they are accepting Bitcoin but somehow, due to a single tweet changes it all and started to dump the market price. I really don't know how it creates panic in the community?

If Elon Musk and Tesla purchase a huge number of Bitcoin and dump it all, this could obviously make a huge change but for that tweet alone, I can't really imagine that. There is something we need to find out as I believe that this is not all about the tweet but there might other reason/s that we never knows until now.
2558  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would you invest if it would also help those in need? on: May 16, 2021, 11:10:33 PM
Yes, why not. if that could be of any help. but I also have to see how profitable the project is. otherwise it is meaningless. if my investment could help others I would be more than happy to do so. provided I don't get bad things like big losses or other things. I am happy to help others. if in this project we can do a little charity, I will be happy to invest.
Yeah, that is something like that, and since the intention is good but not sure if the project will be good as well. Hmmm...isn't leaving the doubt that might OP uses such HELPing tactics in order to attract investors in the other not like giving a huge profit to the investor. So it still needs for the investors to take a look at the background of the said project that OP has to present otherwise we just fall into his/their traps.
2559  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin be hijacked by world billionaires??? on: May 14, 2021, 04:46:06 PM
In some way they really can, since they can buy off large portions of the supply and keep it, effectively making them the whales of the bitcoin market. This could be averted however if more and more small-time investors like us are to invest even just a little bit into bitcoin. We can level the playing field by numbers advantage, and if they are to take over the market, we can simply dump the coin and make it worthless so they can leave it alone.
- They can buy part of the supply but other billionaires or millionaires starting from crypto can also raise the price and sell part of the supply to influence the strategy of outside billionaires, suddenly two forces collide and create an important balance in the market, some individuals want to circumvent these problems, sometimes they will pay the price with their total wealth. Bitcoin is a public playground and each force has small takeover phases with the market, but very quickly, the initiative will be rotated continuously.
These can take risks and they are not worried if they will lose their money but I can be sure that they don't allow it to happen with them. Many rich people come and invest in Bitcoin because they saw such a profiting market, they invest a huge chunk of the total supply as they can afford to have it. I'm not sure if that be going to be a sort of manipulation but one thing I sure of is that they become more greedy and they want everything to fall into their hands.
That is crazy I think, money sometimes makes people become evil.
2560  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I swap my BTC to altcoins and hold for better benefits? on: May 14, 2021, 04:25:09 PM
I suggest you increase the amount of bitcoin you have as much as possible and hold it. Isn't that the main goal of many people here anyway? to have as many bitcoins as possible. Of course, while doing this, it is necessary not to miss the opportunities in altcoins. It is necessary to be able to follow bitcoin and altcoins at the same time. It is necessary to be aware of the opportunities. but replacing bitcoin with altcoins is not a logical idea to me.
Bitcoin is the most reliable coin to hold for a long-term goal, not altcoins. that is why the majority had the goal to accumulate more rather than selling for altcoins. Even we saw that altcoins did a good market gain this time however, it never gives me a reason that I have to sell my Bitcoin. Maybe I put into that consideration about selling if Bitcoin will dump but that doesn't mean I'll go for altcoins.

May it looks good if we invest in Bitcoin and altcoins at the same time.
