Cheesy
Basta playoffs kabayan nagiging mas active ang thread na to..
Kumusta, medyo matagal tagal ka ring nawala?

Jokic extra ordinary performance kahit walang Jamal Murray.

Nakakapanibago. Grin
Sila ang mag champion, BROOKLYN NETS  Smiley

For those who have not put their bet yet, I think -2.5 is still good to go, just trust the NSD team.
If bettors take that spread in game 1, then they should not doubt the current odds knowing that it's a must-win by the Ginebra Kings. They will certainly figure out their mistake and they won't be making lots of mistakes in this game, Brownlee did not score at least 30 points in game 1, but I believe he would go for at least 30 points this game.
Looks like the series will be even after game 2. Ginebra has dominated the first half, Justin Brownlee and Tenorio are on fire, and they are shooting with a high percentage. The score now is 42-60 in Favor of the Ginebra San Miguel.

Brownlee 22 points
C Stand 9 points
LA 9 points
Thompson 8 points

1583  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: April 08, 2022, 07:08:42 AM
A Suns vs Bulls finals could be either amazing, or way too boring to watch.
That's not gonna happen with the way the Bulls are playing now, I don't even think that they'll pass the first round. Sorry, but it seems like their popularity is just a short-lived one, they are exposed maybe by their opponent and they have taken advantage of their weakness.
1584  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: April 08, 2022, 06:43:16 AM

I still need lots of analysis before placing a bet although I already have some considerations.

Seems to me that Ginebra will take Game 2 but the handicap for Meralco is also eye-catchy. But more on, I will take Ginebra ML.

As usual, game-time decision before placing my bet. Hoping also for odds adjustment in favor of Ginebra to at least an additional @1 for their ML odds.

The odds seem nothing suspicious to me. IIRC, in game 1, Ginebra is -2.5, they lose by 11 points so -1.5 being them as the favorite is alright. I took the spread already last night thinking it might go up and I might miss the opportunity.

Yes, that a decent handicap even Meralco beats them in game 1 Ginebra's chance of taking game 2 is pretty possible, if there's no manipulation or in our terms "hulugan" Ginebra can easily cover that handicap and on my own analysis they can bounce and win with double digit lead. Though everything will be witness later when these two teams meet again and start playing their own respective system.

Adjustments from both teams are really anticipated, Ginebra will avoid losing 2 games streak from this series while Meralco will
try everything that they've got to take that comfortable lead.

There's a change now, from -1.5 the line goes up to -2.5 for the Ginebra. I have a feeling that it's a close game and I think Ginebra will even the series. For those who have not put their bet yet, I think -2.5 is still good to go, just trust the NSD team.
1585  Economy / Economics / Re: Bryan Solstin, US Senate Candidate: I Will Make Bitcoin Legal Tender on: April 07, 2022, 09:58:11 PM
Lol! US government and its policies are not driven by a single Senate. What it really doesn't matter what a candidate says about  his thinking of bitcoin and what he will try to achieve.

Personally, I don't see it happening. Because US will never allow something that will reduce the dollar dominance. If US makes bitcoin a legal tender, then they will have to provide their trading partners with options to either use Dollar or bitcoin. So it's not going to happen for sure.

Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies are accepted within US and there are a lot of crypto companies are running from US soil. They may be lenient towards the crypto business ecosystem, but won't allow bitcoin to become a legal tender.
Before Bryan knew it, he was already out in the election. His goal will never be accepted by the US state because its very clear that they would even fight for the right of their legal currency. Promoting bitcoin and making it as a legal tender will never be acceptable in US because they have their own rules that will only focus on their official currency and that accepting a new legal tender particularly cryptocurrency will always be against the state. Maybe if he starts promoting knowledge about bitcoin and plans to create good education, that may be possible.
1586  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What are the criteria for choosing altcoin on: April 07, 2022, 08:54:40 PM
There are no right criteria for choosing altcoin because every investor will have their own criteria and be different from the other investors. Some of them prefer to invest in a low coin price, while others will look at supply, the project development, the teams behind the project, the position of the coin, etc. Some others prefer to invest in the altcoin from their position and only pick the top 20 coin list for their investment. Maybe you need to find those criteria for choosing an altcoin based on what we are telling you so you will know how to choose the altcoin.
Well, there are a lot of criteria to consider but there is no prefect criteria that will help you to choose and invest in a good altcoin. But knowing an altcoin has a long term utility case, that is one way to choose an altcoin because it will mostly result into long term profitability. However, if you find it hard to choose which altcoin will perform best in the market, then always choose to invest in those established altcoins. They are already proven and tested despite of the market volatility, and are sure to give you more profits than resulting into losses.
1587  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't be too greed for more gains.... on: April 07, 2022, 07:59:01 PM
I want to share my experience as a newbie in crypto....I started my crypto journey in 2021, and that year is very bullish as a starter which I could gain almost $6,000 or more if only I wasn't to greed for believing it will go more higher... those  gains are almost from NFTs (games and airdropped), I didn't take profit even it reached ATH until it fall to the hell lol Grin and some are turning to rugged tokens Sad. Im too late to asked for advice here in forum ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5388154.0 ) and now its too late that I took my profit which is less than half lol.... my advice to newbies in crypto here is always take profit don't regret if it goes up, don't be too greed. stay connected here in forum for advices. Smiley
Treat it as one of your mistakes from wrong decision making. This is very common, and we all fall in the same result, losses. But what is more important is that you learned your lesson and for sure, you won't repeat the same mistake again.

Greed can sometimes create positive results, but in most investments, its definitely very unhealthy and sometimes detrimental. So never be ruled by greed, sell when there is good opportunity, and lastly, be contented even in the small profits you gain. As long as you're not losing, you have nothing to worry.
1588  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you feel if satoshi back on: April 07, 2022, 07:11:39 PM
Satoshi won't come back after all this time. He is not an attention-seeker and the last thing he would want is to become the center of a media frenzy. He disappeared when Bitcoin got the attention of the US government and their 3-letter agencies, and he has successfully managed to keep his identity a secret ever since. If he wanted to propose changes to Bitcoin, he could submit BIPs just like every other person in the world.
Let's just settle for that. Satoshi has done his part and we should be grateful for that. For now, whatever the result of our investments only reflect based on our own actions and decision making, and Satoshi has nothing to do with it. In fact, there's no reason for him to come back, as the market won't change at all even if he will. I guess from the time he's out from the spotlight, probably he started to live a good a normal life.
1589  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My biggest crypto regret on: April 07, 2022, 09:02:34 AM
Of course there are regrets, but don't dwell on them too long. The most important thing is that you know what will happen in the future when we have a coin with great potential. I think it's not wrong when we sell it as long as we don't sell at a loss, maybe at that time we won't make as much profit as if we sell it now. But in the world of cryptocurrencies the same opportunities will always exist.
You won't have to regret if you sell your coins still at a reasonable price, as long as you're not losing, then its something you still have to be thankful. However, if you regret of not buying ETH when it was very affordable, and prefer to hold shitcoins and meme coins, that is definitely a valid reason to regret. Apparently, you are not holding them to make profits, but to lose your money, time and effort. For me, i do have my own regret and that is not buying bitcoin when its still very cheap. So i make sure i'm not doing the same mistake again that i may regret in the future.
1590  Economy / Economics / Re: Read If you are between 18 and 68 years old! on: April 07, 2022, 04:17:22 AM
Gilbert's Research shows people from 18 to 68 underestimate how much they will change in the future, because of that they miss long term financial plans! What do you Think? Do you have any long term financial plans?
I have my own long term financial plan and I'm trying to be careful now with most of my major expenditure because I'm aiming to have a better, stable and passive way of earning with the next few years.

It's true that when I stepped on 18, I don't care at all what it will be in the future and about how I'll handle my finances. I've lived like what they say as YOLO and then realized that I'm growing older and still haven't achieved anything.

That reality knocked me and started to look for some guidelines on how I should make my future bright while I'm on that age. But it took me a lot of years before I've finally followed those advises like saving, investing and learning about financial literacy.
Well, at the age of 20's, this is the stage where young adults are still enjoying their lives while some are also starting to think of a brighter future ahead of them but have no concrete plans yet. But at the age of 30's, people should start to think of long term financial plans that will create improvements in their lives, and start to seize every opportunity that comes. And by 40's, they should have started to live the fruits of their hard work and labor. As they say, life starts at 40. But this is not happening in most of us. And maybe because most people don't plan to fail, they fail to plan.
1591  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Just watch "Trust no one" diocumentary film related 2019 biggest crypto scam on: April 06, 2022, 11:00:54 PM

Just watch the documentary film on Netflix called "Trust No One". Which is the true story of the biggest scam worth almost $250M by Gerry Cotten. What comes out after his death and at the time when his death has become the biggest mystery in the crypto world? This is really a scary story. And when I watched the film, I was just curious about one thing: is it possible to understand the feelings of those people who lost everything on quadrigacx exchange?

And this film teaches me 2 things.

1: A centralized exchange is required, but it is also risky.
2: What happened to your bitcoin after your death, if you didn't share your account access with anyone?

Though there are several posts related to these 2 points on this forum. But I want to point out these 2 things from the films. If you haven't watched it, I think you should have watched it if you are working in the crypto field. It helps you get some alerts on what might help you. And you will find the films on Netflix. And if you don't have Netflix, then you might find any piracy website. I don't suggest it. However, if you so desire.

If you watched the movies please share your opinion here. And if you find any important things please share with us.
Well, that might be quite interesting. I'm going to watch it in my free time.

A centralized exchange is more seen today and observed, and we are always encourage to use it because its more safe to use compared to some random decentralized exchanges. But definitely, the risk is always there.

I guess i've seen a lot of threads more likely about what happen to your bitcoin if you are dead. This is the reason why we have to share it to our wife or educate our children about it so they can benefit from it once accidents happen to us. But i think this movie will teach us more on how to protect our bitcoin and teaches us what to do in instances like this. So maybe its worth watching.
1592  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Scammers show no mercy, this is how serious crypto investment has become on: April 06, 2022, 10:19:55 PM
It's sad but true that scammers have made more money than investors themselves in this bull market, this is why you need to be extremely serious with your money, we investors are the ones funding scammers' pocket, this is why you should avoid most metaverse projects and play2earn games, remember they are hungry and angry people that will go any lent to achieve their ill-gotten dreams, lets stop helping them.
Scammers have made more money than us, only if we allow to. So we should always be careful and cautious on everything we do especially on the security of our own wallet because a single mistake will open a good opportunity for scammers to deceive us. And when it comes to this new metaverse projects and play to earn games, we should always have an in-depth research first before we decide to invest in them.
1593  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Few Tips I learnt from trading that blew my account. on: April 06, 2022, 09:48:44 PM
They are good tips especially this kind of tips weren't teach in the courses or books since they are tips from actual experience of the trader and can only be experience through actual trades. You blew your account and you learned your lesson, I hope this lesson was enough not to repeat the same mistake. I would like to add the leverage but I think it fits in the 5 which is the greed part.
That would be easy to tell, but definitely hard to do it and perform. I guess no matter how often we end up doing mistakes and commit losses, we still fall doing the same mistakes again because we tend to become emotional most of the time. But that is part of our training in trading, learning it the hard way. But if we still end up making frequent losses at the end of the day, maybe we should start to think if trading is really our passion.
1594  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How are you preparing for bear market on: April 06, 2022, 09:11:23 AM
Crypto can't survive without a bear market, if not everything will remain at one spot and no reason to invest anymore what is the best strategy to prepare for a bear market and at the same time keep making a profit from the present market condition.
If you want to take risks when entering a bear market, then I think the best strategy is to try to take advantage of the momentum of each price drop to buy gradually and then immediately take profits when the price is past the buy price, but if you don't want to be too risky when entering the market bears then it is better to consolidate your portfolio into stablecoins to avoid the risk of loss.
Dollar cost averaging is what most people do every time the market is bearish. But even so, if you don't have enough budget for that, you will still find it hard to finance it. That is the reason why i always find time to sell when the market is bullish, to buy back again once the market turns bearish. But i never go for all in buying, that is more risky. But buying all in for bitcoin will mean more risk, but rest assured it all pays off when the bullish season comes.
1595  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sam Bankman-Fried, the founder of FTX, wants to give away 99% of his money on: April 05, 2022, 11:59:02 PM
"The billionaire founder of crypto exchange FTX, Sam Bankman-Fried, has plans to give away the vast majority of his wealth thanks to the philosophy of "effective altruism," which he learned in college.

Despite running a multibillion-dollar global crypto exchange, the 30-year-old drives a Toyota Corolla, lives like a college student, and has a goal of making as much money as possible so that he will have more to give away, according to Bloomberg.

Even with his massive wealth, he says he'll keep only about 1% of his earnings each year, or about $100,000.

"You pretty quickly run out of really effective ways to make yourself happier by spending money," Bankman-Fried told Bloomberg. "I don't want a yacht."

Bankman-Fried told Bloomberg he doesn't second-guess his decision to give most of his money away."

Full article: https://markets.businessinsider.com/news/currencies/ftx-sam-bankman-fried-wealth-donation-crypto-altruism-charity-ukraine-2022-4
That's the true vision of a billionaire, you aim to give more to others than just to keep it to yourself and be more wealthy. Sam has a very noble act. He wants to live a simple life despite of the riches he had. And he think more of the needs of others because that will make him more satisfying and fulfilling. I just hope that his donations will be given to those who are badly needing it, and maybe he should be the one handling it to different charities.
1596  Other / Meta / Re: Would the IQ test have made the forum better? on: April 04, 2022, 11:56:35 PM
No, takes away the flow, you read a post > feel like replying and then there is question you have to answer, you forget what you were going to write.

Yeah you could write in a note app or smth beforehand but it's just unnecessary. It's Internet forum for chit-chat on cryptos, let it be.
The IQ test was another time consuming. You are still going to think the content of your post, and then you also have to research the right answer to that certain question. That means, you need to focus on them both so you can come up with correct answers. Although its quite informative, but at the end of the day, we should not forget the reason why we are here, to contribute a good discussion about crypto, and everything we see in the IQ test are not related to crypto. So for me, its very unnecessary.
1597  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you agree market behavior has changed? on: April 04, 2022, 09:57:43 PM

There are many tools and indicators all traders use to predict the market and buy and sell assets! When most people use the same tools , there is no more competitive advantage between them and everyone one will act the same! They receive the same signal and same prediction! Thus there is no contrast in the market technically , we believe the market is not running technically like before and we are expecting major changes , What do you Think?
There are no major changes actually, the market is always repeating its behaviors, either it goes up, down or sideways. But what keeps on changing are the market trends and events. And they create significance as they make solid bases on how to deal with the market. This is why we have to keep updated with them so we don't have to face frequent losses from our investments. The tools and market indicators are just the same, its only on the trader's perception on how to create initiatives to take advantage of the market.
1598  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are there no altcoins that can replace Bitcoin? on: April 03, 2022, 09:40:25 PM
The main reason is true decentralization, there are a few good altcoins around the market but not truly decentralized. They likely decentralized functionally on the chain, but not overall. Bitcoin is the mother coin backed by the worldwide Bitcoin community and investors that no altcoin succeed to build. That's the reason still now no altcoin replaced Bitcoin. Not sure about the Future, there would be a more powerful cryptocurrency with the latest technologies that would replace Bitcoin. But there is a matter of community that we can't ignore. It will play a major role in replacing Bitcoin.
Altcoins are more on alternatives for bitcoin so it won't totally replace bitcoin in the long run. And to think that people love the freedom they found in bitcoin, then there's no reason that they would stick to altcoins as they are more centralized. However, we don't hold the future so there are still chances that an altcoin could somehow replace bitcoin. But for now, bitcoin has always dominate the crypto market and even fills the community with huge bitcoin users and owners.

And that's it, Meralco Bolts wins the series via 94-81 against Magnolia Hotshots and will be back in the Finals of the Governors Cup for a rematch with Brgy. Ginebra. The memories of the 2019 Governors Cup Finals are one of the moments that Meralco won't surely forget. Meralco in the Finals will now erase some speculations that there will be "bigayan" in the Finals because the "Manila Clasico" is the rivalry of the same company.

Expecting odds for Game 1 will be close because of the dominance that Meralco has shown against the Top Seed Magnolia in the Semis.

Congrats to all bettors. Didn't able to place my bet because of Friday Madness lol.

That "Bigayan" thing will be forgotten now, the expected manila classico did not happen, Meralco is more eager to win the game.

Bad luck for Magnolia, Harris did try but that last fall is not tolerable anymore and he needs to rest up and let all the locals to try

beating the rallying Bolts. It's a good thing since these two teams have that past history,

They again have a chance to win against the Ginebra which they fail most of the time when they meet. It's a tough challenge for them as Ginebra has a more experienced roster and they also have the better import. I'm not sure if they could last until game 7 but I hope they will work hard, especially their import.

Quote
it would be nice for Meralco to continue and again try to disappoint another SMC franchise.

Meralco => SMB
Meralco => Magnolia
Meralco => Ginebra? ( let's find out)
