It's hard to pick a favorite for me in the match of Augsburg vs Mainz today. The game is way more important for Augsburg then for Mainz though in my opinion. Mainz already has a 12 point lead over the 16th place even before this match today and therefore i think that it is almost safe that Mainz is already pretty safe in regards to being relegated down to the second Bundesliga. I don't really think that they can reach a position that qualifies for a european cup but that would also be asked to much from Mainz in my opinion.
For Augsburg the game today is very important though if they are able to win today then they would have a 6 point lead over Bielefeld on position 16.
For both teams, a win would be important in their current situation. Augsburg are fighting against relegation and they are currently only 3 points away from place 16. Mainz would have 41 points with a win and would therefore only be 3 points away from place 6. If Mainz will lose, it will be more difficult to reach place 6. But I do not have a prediction either. For Mainz, a win is going to put them directly in the seventh spot in the league. that's because they have one match in hand and also a better goal difference. For Augsburg, a win is going to get them a little more relaxation because they are not still clear of the relegation zone. If we look at the last five matches of both teams I think we will see that they have the same records in the last five matches so it is really hard to predict which team is going to win but I think Mainz should have the advantage in this match. |

As I predicted Liverpool to crush Benfica and Manchester City to win the game,at least after so many failures in my Champions League betting yesterday was a good night,both teams to win had like a near 1.85 odd which for me was good enough.In fact I am a bit surprised that Manchester City only managed to score so late and to score only one goal,I predicted complete domination from them,not only in the game play which they usually do but also in the result,this result leaves everything open to the return match but I think Manchester City will qualify further.
Liverpool played really well against Benfica. the first goal which was headed in really a great goal because the cross and the header were pinpoint accurate in my opinion. Sadio Mané did look concerned about the offside flag after scoring the second goal but the flag stayed down. Benfica did try to make a comeback after scoring a goal but it was not to be. I really wanted Mohammad Salah to score but it was really not his night. and he also missed a one-on-one chance with the goalkeeper. but overall Liverpool played really well. |

True, when compared to the game displayed by Inter it is clear that this is very different.
really lucky they got a penalty at the end of the first half that put them ahead until the end of the game.
Personally I was at Juventus in this match and I have no regrets with the game they showed but indeed there is a bit they need to improve in the rest of the game now, they are still lacking in finishing even though there are quite a lot of chances and attempted kicks
Juventus played really well and really deserves to at least get one point from that match. But that did not happen. I think it was not for the penalty they would have done so. I really have to say it was unlucky for Juventus. In the end, they really seem to be desperate to at least get something from that match but they could not do so and I do not blame them for that because it is really hard to concentrate when you need to score and there is nothing working. I would have liked to see some more coordinated attack from Juventus by the way. Well, the good Inter back line and the lack of perfect finishing are one of the problems that Juventus get. Their midfield is quite good actually but the lack of enthusiasm there makes this not something good. Juan is doing quite well but I would prefer to see Denis Zakaria's performance there on the other hand Dusan is good at making moves but he is always restricted so Juventus will have to prepare a plan B in the next matches when this is read. Juventus does not have an experienced striker. After Ronaldo left the team, Juventus could not find an experienced player to replace him. Due to this, despite attacking a lot against Inter Milan, they could not score a goal. Juventus' team is very stable. Their midfield and defense are very strong. It was a horrible night for Arsenal definitely. I was not expecting them to even draw with Crystal Palace. They should have been able to win this comfortable match for them. But Crystal Palace shocked them by finding two goals in eight minutes in the first half already. And after this happened, Arsenal had a huge problem on collecting themselves. And this resulted in conceding another goal and losing by 3-0 for Arsenal. But I still don't think that Arsenal will continue to have big problems during the remaining weeks. They would make a big effort for top four until the end.
Sometimes I really don't understand how Arsenal approaches a match. Not only you, I think almost everyone in the sports bettor thought that Arsenal is going to win that match because it is really obvious that they are playing against a weaker opponent. I think before this match Crystal Palace was in 13th place in the table. So, it only made sense that Arsenal was going to win that match but they did not. I'm going to be following Benzema's performance against Chelsea especially as he is going to be the key player of the team as always. He is in a great shape now as he scored two goals in his last game. He was great against PSG in the rematch as well. Chelsea defenders are going to have a big responsibility of defending him solidly. Rudiger might be the most reliable defender for that in the team. He is the best defender for Chelsea now. Not only defensively but also offensively I mean.

Bangladesh will not win if South Africa sets a target of around 250 runs. In the past, we have seen many times unprofessional performances of Bangladeshi players in the second innings. Moreover, it is very difficult for any experienced team to win the match by collecting 250 runs on the last day. So I see very little chance of Bangladesh winning this match. However, Bangladesh has a good chance to draw. Let's see how the bowlers of Bangladesh perform on the fourth day. But now some player playing very well in test Cricket. Like Liton Das performance is very improving match by match.I think Bangladeshi batter have to power to chess 250 run in 2nd innings. But Bangladeshi players need to more improve and more patience in Test cricket. Also, I think the Bangladeshi bowlers let everyone down because they did not bowl in the right line and length consistently. they have bowled countless short balls which were really easy to hit and the South Africans just scored easy boundaries. In the 6th match of tri nation cup going on in Nepal, Nepal beat Malaysia by 85 runs. Nepal gave a target of 223, Dipendra Singh Airee played a not out innings of 110. Haven't seen Dipendra in any league so far. Such tournaments will help players of associate teams to make it to leagues like IPL.
When was the last time a player from one of the associate nations got a chance to play the IPL? I guess Sandeep Lamichhane of Nepal got a couple of outings and after that he was dropped. IPL franchises prefer players from SENA nations - Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, England and also from West Indies. Anyone outside this grouping doesn't stand a good chance to get selected. Now coming to the tri-nation series, these two teams (Nepal and Malaysia) are the ones with native players. But in recent times, they have gone down in ICC ranking, as they are unable to compete against mercenary teams like the UAE and Oman. I think IPL is always going to prefer the players who bring much more attention and also so can play surprising and big innings when they are needed to do so. In my opinion, the players from these associate nations are not the type of players who bring attention or the skill that is needed. They did experiment with Sandeep Lamichhane but that didn't work out as expected in my opinion. I actually think that the one who has the potential to become champions in the UCL this season is Liverpool. man city is indeed a very strong team and champion candidates but they will definitely be eliminated (perhaps when facing ATM).

Lost in home 1-4, Chelsea not taking advantage of opportunities, they seem like underestimate the opponent. they are different if against a strong opponent. the defender is so careless, no cohesiveness between the midfield so to expect the winner for this year seems away from Stanford bridge. Batting first in the Women's World Cup final, Australia set a huge target of 356 runs. I have rarely seen such a great inning like this. Australia deserves the World Cup title. They have played great in every match. England's total of 118 runs in 19 overs, they lost 3 wickets. It is unthinkable that England will be able to win after the target of 356 runs. If the target was 300, the match would have been competitive and England would have tried to win. But now the match has become completely one-sided.
Australia has given 357 runs target in the final of the women's world cup. I don't think England can ever make this total while chasing in a WC final. The good thing about England's chase is that they have not given up and scored 162/4. They still need around 200 runs in 25 overs which seems to be an impossible task. England made a good comeback to play the final while Australians are the unbeaten champions. If England had not lost the wicket so quickly then perhaps the match would have been more competitive. They have lost 5 wickets. They scored 184 runs in 29 overs. They need 183 runs in 21 overs to win. They need about 8.23 runs in each over. This does not seem to be possible for England. Because without Nat Sciver, there are no more experienced batsmen at the crease. Moreover, the Australian bowlers are very experienced. |
