2541  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin wallet on phones on: January 19, 2022, 12:34:52 PM
In 2022 mobile phones are very much secured as they have multiple levels of security features. The only drawback I think with mobile phones are people tend to lose it more often  and like computer devices they can be hacked. A lost phobe won't affect anyone who has created a backup of their Bitcoin wallet. But, a hacked phone can be of concern. Therefore hardware wallet and paper wallet are recommended as they fall under the category of cold storage.

Hardware wallet is much recommended to the whales since there huge balance is not secured if they used  mobile app wallets or web wallets. But for average joe for sure they will not think buying an expensive hardware wallet since for sure they will think twice since instead of spending there money on such thing they will just used a secure mobile app wallet which have strict 2fa requirements. That's why if you are a user of mobile app wallet just make sure to activate the 2fa feature and bind it to your email and phone which is separate to the device you used so that if the phone got stolen then the intruder will not get an easy access to your balances.
2542  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin Price Enter the $30k Area? on: January 19, 2022, 11:08:23 AM
Right this minute you should attempt some optimism as the trend of decline hits bottom.   If it does surpass and continue downwards then breaking daily range would take us into thirty thousands and confirm the lower range rather then the attempt to break higher.   Its still possible for the moment we are able to make a bottom price here.

We've failed to beat the weekly average, so its resolved downwards.  It does look slightly more positive on the daily bars as we are simply tracking sideways in a range.
wondering what will happen when we step down to 30k area? will this be really the bottom or this is the initial of the bad weather and we will be seeing the 20k value?(In which i am praying to come lol)

That will be scariest scenario knowing that many doesn't want to see that so for sure a huge fear or panic will build up since people will speculate that it will fall more. This events happen before and it might happen to that's why we need to watch how things move since it will give us an idea on what action needed to do. But hopefully there's no something like this to happen since the current happening on bitcoin is much cool than its movement for the past couple of days.
2543  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador Bitcoin wallet onboard four million users on: January 19, 2022, 09:43:26 AM
4 million users? Wow! What's the population of El Salvador? Around 6 million? That's pretty large percentage!

I guess national policy is the most powerful push for massive adoption of crypto. Hope more countries would become positive towards this industry. Crypt is afterall the future trend.
Also their government offer $30 to each citizens, of course everyone will love free money by just creating account on Chivo wallet. But yeah, we don't know how many active wallet on there... it's possible people just creating account and withdraw the $30, that's not a adoption IMO since he's still trusting fiat and not using Bitcoin anymore.

Well, government power always the most powerful to control and persuade their citizens... since that's make it's completely legal and no worried anymore.

Even though we don't know yet what is the real number of their actual users still its good to see that their are 4 million people onboard on their official bitcoin wallet since even if they just withdraw and exchange their received bitcoin to fiat still they are now getting an idea about bitcoin and how they can transact it correctly. Maybe for now the number of users decline(maybe we don't know if it really is) after that what good thing is they have active wallets which they can use anytime if they are been decided to use the currency what the government adopted on their country.
2544  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Myth vs Facts and My Assumptions about Bitcoin on: January 18, 2022, 11:58:17 PM
This kind of myth's is not totally avoidable or new since people think negative on new things discover especially if we talk about finance and investment. But what good thing here is we have venue like bitcointalk to discuss such many topics where people can get enlightenment on how this one really works and correct what they think wrong about bitcoin like they think its a ponzi or other forms of frauds.
2545  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitVest, The worst casino I have ever seen on: January 18, 2022, 02:07:07 PM

I don't know why they are still talking about reputation for this casino but we all know that the management of this casino/sites carefully doing something so that their reputation will not be ruined in the present days.

Don't be surprise on why people talk about reputation since there are times that this casino especially the owner became questionable so its expected that there are people who will think that they might turn something bad and people who deposited their money will lost what they put on this casino. But lightlord will not throw hus reputation away as he build his business for so many years and most provably he will solve those issue since he care about his business.
2546  Economy / Securities / Re: [LOOKING FOR INVESTOR] CRYPTO GAMBLING CASINO on: January 18, 2022, 12:04:10 PM
[LOOKING FOR INVESTOR] CRYPTO GAMBLING CASINO

maybe the reason you haven't found an investor yet is because you are confining in more details that could be somehow attractive to investors, for example you don't need to divulge your strong point that you think will be better compared to other casinos, but you you could publicize the demo website for example so that investors could just design the case, not the functions of course because that would be a secret that you would show in private but the demo could you show the public
To say something here is in vain. Op is aware what to do and how to do but ignoring all. I think the reason behind it is to scam people by convincing to invest on the project through private discussion. Even they might have nothing to show as a sample or something as they have nothing own. They may target foolish people who are not too much aware and will be convinced by the scam technique.

Not surprising to see this scam attempt still happening here but I doubt they will succeed since more forum users knows about how scammers act and investing on this kind of offer is really a shady so no doubt that there are no investors will grab this knowing the thread creator is a newbie and anytime he could flee especially if he already got the money from his investors so best for this to avoid and better seek for more quality platforms to invest with.
2547  Economy / Economics / Re: PEOPLE DURING THE PANDEMIC. on: January 18, 2022, 10:37:56 AM

There are as many ways to earn here and most of it is by playing various NFT GAMES.

This forum is not the only avenue for earning in cryptocurrency, it exposes investors though but not just the only means to earn so that beginners don't build a wrong idea.

The number of NFT games rise up since it really had a demand from the people who get bored from their home and want to earn in some ways that's why its not surprising to see more people are now into it knowing the earning potential is totally good at that time but we can't also forget that NFT scams rises that's why many people lose their money from this.

Also if we talk about this forum yeah we cannot really make it as main venue to earn since the more valuable thing we can get here is the idea which can help us on to decide on which of them is good to invest and which is not also the discussion made by the people is also giving us an idea on new things which we didn't experience yet.
2548  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do you find out to invest or not in a coin? on: January 16, 2022, 03:16:41 PM
Like the title says, how would you decide to invest in a coin or not especially a new one with a low cap marketcap. What information about crypto should you know before you look into these new / low cap coins too? And what would you look into these coins to know they are good to invest in.

Any guidance is appreciated.

Old time traders doesn't really know the exact or accurate things upon investing on crypto since it was stated that upon investing we cannot guarantee any return. But we can see how good the project if the team is transparent, they have good plans written on their whitepaper lastly the team is experts on their field and they are not anonymous. Although we can see this but still we need to be careful and always DYOR if we talk about newly created coins and tokens.

Low cap coins are also quite risky since those coins is already dying so its risky to throw some investment on them since for sure there are so many bag holders of that coin and just waiting for their target to sell got hit by new investors so it will be crazy if you became a holder again of those low cap coins.
2549  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Looking for real estate for investment (Does this service exist?) on: January 16, 2022, 01:02:14 PM
It seems to me that the project is typical 2017 ICO scam. They just sell erc20 tokens with buzzword without any real use cases.

That's why its hard to find this since we don't know if the project creator is real and really have a physical project running. So best for you to seek for another type of investment since mostly the people I see who use real estate as their front are scammers so better be careful and I think you are already knowledgeable since you mention about those ICO scams.
2550  Economy / Gambling / Re: Shady behavior of Duckdice.io moderators and Admins on: January 16, 2022, 12:12:39 PM
Why do people still gamble at sites with a bad reputation? If you simply type "Duckdice.io scam" in Google.. you will find many topics and accusations against their site and it does not even take 15 seconds of your life.  Roll Eyes

The problem is.... some rouge review sites still give these sites a good review and people trust them. If they only knew that many of these sites are owned and operated by casinos. (or the site owners does the review once and they do not update it after these sites goes scam)  Sad

Maybe they don't know that there are existing issues happened on this casino from the past and also maybe they think that they improve their service that's why they are there. But since issues keep showing at them I guess its more advisable to avoid this one since we have so many reputable to choose from and we should always check a casino's background before we play since researching always can save innocent if they do this at first.
2551  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 2022 bear market? on: January 16, 2022, 10:53:49 AM
As we have seen the bull market of 2021, history has shown there to be a following of a bear market in the next year (2022). What are your thoughts so far and how do you believe it will play out.

I think the bear market is still just starting, btc should now be around 16-22k on average price until 2025.

Your thoughts?

This could possibly happen since initially after the halving + the bullish season already happen the bear will follow but every year is different we know the adoption and the people's outlook toward crypto became different since there are lots of good things happen for the past years so I think we cannot see more huge downfall since many whales will support bitcoin.
2552  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: CAN YOUR BITCOIN BE STOLEN ? on: January 15, 2022, 11:53:31 PM
We need some important information and data such as Private keys/seed phrase / mnemonic phrase/ PIN, password, and other types of important data where you can access the wallets. Once the people know one of them, they may be able to access your wallet and steal your Bitcoin or other assets.
On the other hand, if this is about the other condition is such as stealing your Bitcoin or cryptocurrency from the links (including malware or others) in order to access your wallet is also possible. And this also sometimes happens when you once click the links.
And if there is a hacker targeting your public keys, they may be also able to do that by some tricks.

To avoid this then its really much better to stop clicking those unwanted or unknown links came randomly on our emails or other unfamiliar website which is related to crypto since most from this the malware came. This is the basic and one of effective methods for our bitcoin not to get stolen. And if some cases that we can't avoid to use those web wallets or app wallets we should be careful not to store huge funds since most of this wallets are vulnerable from attacks.
2553  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How are your shitcoins? on: January 15, 2022, 03:04:15 PM
Of the almost 30 shitcoins that have been in the ERC-20 and BSC wallets since 4 years ago, now there are 4 that have risen, and it didn't take long for me to immediately sell them on the market for fear of dying again.
It is a new opportunity for you to immediately clean up the garbage that has been piling up in your wallet all this time and releasing it as soon as possible is a very good option without any further consideration.

Selling shitcoin when the price has gone up is the right choice because there is no point in holding on to shitcoin for a long time, shitcoin is a coin that has no fundamentals and has no future and its price is often manipulated by influencers so it will pose a risk of loss if we don't know the right time to buy and sell it.

There's no sense holding shitcoins if they're losing their value so it would still be better to sell it when the price is still high. I have sold a few shitcoins before at their peak price and they don't have a value now. Shitcoins aren't worth all the risks so it would be better to take advantage of them than lose their value by just holding.

By the name itself it tells that it is actually not worth to hold and the one I follow before got no value at the moment so for this it show that they are not really good for long term unlike those coins which has been at the top for so many years. Best not to get hype for someone who told that its good to hold that shit token since it will pump and those people just want to do their exits and doesn't care if other will be left behind.

2555  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who creates more impact in bitcoin price the Hodlers or Investors? on: January 15, 2022, 11:59:37 AM
TBH, its really hard to know which has more impact with the Bitcoin price.
Hodlers can also be investors and investors can also be hodlers.

Hodlers are affecting the price by holding some Bitcoins reducing the supply and when the demand is increasing or at least the same then price will increase. Investors on the other hand affects the price by buying and selling Bitcoin.

Both of those choices are still investors and its just they have different methods on how they take actions towards on what they bought and we can say that both of them is important since hodler is adding the demand but doesn't contribute with the dumping happened and also the short term investors can also add the demand but in short term basis only. But any if this we cannot say someone do better or not since at the end for sure both of them is a lucky earner.
2556  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin wallet on phones on: January 15, 2022, 10:39:35 AM
If asked the best wallet to use that is secure, experts will advice people to use hardware wallet like Trezor or Ledger Nano. But not everyone can afford it, some people will prefer to use other wallet.

If the person can not afford hardware wallet or because he just want to store bitcoin for years, experts will advice the person to read about paper wallet very well and use it.

Some people will want to be spending bitcoin frequently and they can not afford hardware wallet, paper wallet can not be used for convenience. The person will be advised to use online wallet. Experts will recommend desktop wallet for the person like electrum but only small amount will be said to have if the person is using desktop wallet.

Some people will want to use bitcoin and be using it for transactions very well, the person do not have hardware wallet and computer, the person will use mobile wallet because he has phones, everyone has phone.

I have noticed people do not recommend wallets on phone, but in reality, some people do not have money to buy hardware wallet and do not have computer but having it in mind to buy it later when they have money.

Let us say the person want to use phone temporary and he is using it for small amount but the remaining amount is on his paper wallet. Let us aay the phone is stolen, can the person that stole it be able to steal his bitcoin? The phone have password.

Is there a way the password can be bypassed to access the wallet. Phone password are not long, is it possible for the pilferer to hack the phone password to have access to the phone.

Or is it just because of online safety that experts are telling others people not to use phones for wallet? I know some dangers why we should not use mobile wallet but I want to gain more knowledge about this. And what I want to gain is about if a pilferer stole a password phone, how can the pilferer access the contents in the phone which can cause wallet hack and bitcoin to be stolen.

People will recommend you the safest since this is what they know can make those people safe if they ask about best wallet to secure their funds. But actually wallets on phones(apps) is totally fine if they are registered on the country where you belong and been regulated by finance agancies. Also if you know the danger and can able to handle well your balances.

I'm actually using a "wallet on phone" for so long or shall I say from start of my venture here in crypto and so far never get any headache nor got any problem for using it on my daily transactions.
2557  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The Bulls Are Coming Back Soon, Are You Ready To Ride? on: January 14, 2022, 01:23:11 PM
Bull market will certainly come but a minor recovery doesnt necessarily mean we are heading to bullish season again. Thus I think its better for now to monitor the market and accumulate if you can still afford the price since the price can move unexpectedly.

Take advantage the situation before it pump hard because its always good to fill our bags before a bullrun happened.

There was a push to $44,000 but that's the most that we could do at this point as the price dip around $42,xxx again. Nevertheless, it was a brave move by the bulls, but I guess there is not enough momentum as the rest of investors are still in the middle and might not be interested.

But this is just the beginning of the month, many things can happen, maybe at the end of the month we can see around $45,000 and going to $50,000 at some point.
I think the recent price surge of bitcoin was not good enough reason that we are now heading into a bull run, anything can go wrong with just a single move. But i admire you OP for being so positive this time, wherein most of the people here have already accepted that in less time, the market will eventually turn bearish. Not totally good for those who aim to make profits for now, but definitely a good start to invest in coins with high potentials.

It could be a trap so traders need to be careful on creating decision since its hard to determine if we are really going to dive at the current market state. But if they are risk taker and want to test the market stress then buying at this point still reasonable knowing how far bitcoin dive and they are so lucky if bullish season will happen again.
2558  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: January 14, 2022, 12:20:47 PM
It's possible that Casimero will lose, but based on the betting odds, he will likely win this fight as he is a heavy favorite. Butler considers this fight as a big fight that he has to win, so both fighters really want to win as this is their ticket to fight Inoue who is probably waiting for a unification fight.
Yes, he's the favorite of the crowd and that's why odds are obvious on him. But true to that, that, it's still possible for him to lose.
It's still unknown whether Casimero wins, Inoue is going to say yes and his team for the match that was once delayed and should be for the both of them. There's no answer yet if he's still interested in fighting him.
I would doubt Inoue's team will really say yes, I still have doubts until now because prior to this fight Casimero was already challenging Inoue but they didn't make a final decision, he was just responding but no signing of contract, that's why I have doubt man. you can't blame me.
If they will push this through, I still see Casimero to win the fight and that could be a great way for him to challenge Inoue, though for some medical reason this match was postponed right? Hoping that they can finally settle this since Casimero is slowly losing his fans because of the current situation. If its just a pure trash talk, I don’t think Casimero vs Inoue will push through as well, better to sign the contract now.

There's no health issue happened and the cancellation of the fight is due to Casimero didn't catch the required weight to make the fight happen so I guess Casimero failed to do his part to make this fight happen that's why maybe its almost impossible for this to be done by them. But if their management will try to fix this then provably they could find ways to continue this match up and if Casimero win then this is his great ticket to challenge Inoue.
2559  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] Santacoin.io didn't pay the bounty hunters! on: January 14, 2022, 11:19:04 AM
I am not sure if doing a "This project is scam" campaign is a good start. It might very well be a scam, but you should have given that thought before deciding to participate in it not after that.

The bounty manager is not directly involved in getting the money to pay the bounty participants but organizing the bounty only, I suggest you remove their name from this thread.

phelbaby account exists here - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1255347
they have used the same username on telegram in their messages on the forum archived here - https://archive.fo/8qeza#selection-3923.19-3923.28

To be honest, the santacoin team never showed their faces or names or identity information anywhere during the process when the project was launched. Their litepaper is a generic one without any details about who created the project.

Every Christmas we see such projects come up. The scam bounty project "C" Why even bother joining such bounties?

Participants should now the risk on what they are participating to and this kind of scene is becoming normal on bounty scene that's why they need to prepare themselves to face situation like this and never blame anyone especially there manager if something bad happens. But as  virasog said maybe at least next time its best to escrow the bounty funds to assure that the campaign participants will get paid I think this is lesson to the managers knowing many devs now escape after they conduct a successful sale and will never pay their participants and scam their investors.
2560  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Looking for interesting media resources (any topic) on: January 13, 2022, 11:01:13 PM
Why not pick from here? I think we have a good amount of enganging reads and since ppl tend to lean more on news outlets/informative websites rather than message boards, it has less chances of getting copied. Just don't confuse facts and opinions. We can all have different opinions about something but there is only one fact that's why it wouldn't be so weird to see it all over the internet.

Sometimes its hard to read a useful contents since there are so many trash threads which have similar replies to the people so I guess finding direct media source is best option if we want to seek latest information or news about crypto. And I guess we can search this one on google or in facebook since for sure media sites will pop up if we just search their names or the information what we seek.
