2541  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I lost +$ 20k in future, advice for newbies on: February 21, 2022, 03:25:47 PM
You have learnt a hard lesson OP. $20k + is definitely a huge amount to lose and it could bring a change in one's living for a short term.
You have definitely made some mistakes but it's good that you have realized it. Just keep in mind not to repeat those mistakes again.
If you learn trading and do it the right way may be you can recover your lost funds after some months.
Take profits along the way and use stop losses to limit your losses.
2542  Economy / Speculation / Re: The long term way is down on: February 21, 2022, 03:16:52 PM
I'm not confused that BTC will reach a new ATH this year anymore since we entered 2022 every recoveries are not strong, on the long run the way is always down, what do you think? I'm i wrong or right?

I can only think of that the long term way is only in one direction and that is upwards.
If we see through out the history of bitcoin we can see how well it has performed over the long term.
Although we have seen sharp declines, it has been recovered well and over the long term we have seen a very good price increase in bitcoin.
Why would you say that the long term way is down for bitcoin ?
2543  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What coin you like trading future on: February 21, 2022, 03:08:08 PM
Although I have stopped trading futures I would still like to share my experience. I used to like trading futures on altcoins which had low price like FTM and SRM.
I used to have 5x leverage and used to patiently wait to hit targets but eventually made losses.
I learnt a hard lesson that trading futures is not for me which is why I stopped futures.
Low marketcap coins are very dangerous, using it for future trading will be riskier, the lower the altcoin marketcap the lower the chance of getting liquidated early. No small coin will be available for future trading but I understand you very well by still comparing the coins as low marketcap coin.

Using 5x can be very risky too, I use 3x and it is still risky, my funds are not getting liquidated but I do close the market myself after losing to some extent, but liquidation is still very possible while using 2x, the best is 1x.

Lastly, it is very better to quit trading future if your are continually losing.

I think that's a typo mistake. The lower the marketcap the higher chance of getting liquidated.
Don't you think 1x leverage trading is basically spot trading itself. Why not do spot trading at first place if it isn't for a bear trend.
And yes, we need to quit or take a break if we are making continuous profits and come back later with an improvised strategy.
2544  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I was finally able to purchase an iPhone 13 pro max using my Bitcoin on: February 19, 2022, 07:30:39 AM
I went to buy a phone with my friend today. Going there, Iphone 13 pro max became my favorite phone.  And arouses interest in buying. But I did not have enough money to buy that phone in my pocket. I laugh and talk about Bitcoin to the owner of that showroom. I was surprised to that the owner of that showroom want to sell his phone to me  for Bitcoin. And I asked him again, "Are you kidding me?"then He immediately gave me a bitcoin wallet to pay him. I paid him bitcoin and bought the Iphone 13 pro max.

Since the price of Bitcoin has come down a lot now, it has become foolish for me to buy the phone with Bitcoin.  Because for that I have to spend more bitcoin.
But still I am very happy to be able to do it.  Because in my country Bitcoin is still declared as an illegal currency.  Nevertheless, I got this advantage

Wait what ?

If you bought the Iphone when the price was high and now the price is low, you eventually spent less number of coins to buy the phone.
Which is a good thing since you will have to spend more number of coins if you bought it at current price.
So whenever you buy something with BTC and the price comes down after that then you are in profits. But in the long run the price increases.
For example if you bought the phone worth $600 at 0.01 BTC at the price of $60k then you would have to spend roughly 0.015 BTC right now for the same phone.
On the other hand, if the price increases to $80k then you can think that you paid $800 for a $600 phone.
2545  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How I convinced a Stock Trader to Invest in Bitcoin on: February 19, 2022, 07:18:23 AM
The feeling of getting a person who knows nothing about crypto into crypto community is really good.
Even I have recently suggested my close friends to get into crypto. Four of my friends joined crypto and bought some coins.
Even my own brother started investing in crypto after seeing me talking about it all the time.
I keep telling him how good and beneficial it is for the world and how it will be so worthy to invest in it right now.
I literally feel so good when people join crypto.
2546  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A few key points distinguishing traders from gamblers on: February 19, 2022, 07:00:56 AM
Wow, this is the best post which describes the differences between trading and gambling. It's mostly accurate.
Most of the people these days looks for getting quick profits. While some succeed, many tend drain their money in the volatile crypto market,
This post also helps people identify what they are doing wrong and may be will help them in correcting their trading mistakes.
2547  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Weekend Trading, how do you feel about it? on: February 19, 2022, 06:38:51 AM
Although crypto market works 24x7 there are times when the market has high volumes on weekdays and low volumes on weekends.
May be this is due to the working days of Monday to Friday or something else but many times people don't prefer to trade on the weekends.
I generally buy/sell coins whenever I like and don't put much importance on what day it is.
Even today is a weekend and I just bought some ADA since the market seems like having a correction which is a good time to buy.
2548  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CrazyTime and Monopoly, should we trust? on: February 19, 2022, 06:15:33 AM
Reviews are mostly not the best approach to lean on a betting platform, I have seen people here get paid for reviews and since money may be involved, they will likely ignore the bad sides of the casino and make a positive review to attract more people, it happens by most YouTubers when they do reviews for these casinos, instead of making it looks neutral, they instead do it with hope to bring more customers.

Ofcourse there are people who get paid to post good reviews which is exactly why we should not trust casinos which are relatively new in the short term.
We can put a little trust on those which are in the community for a long term since it is hard to pay for fake reviews on a long term.
Talking specifically about this forum, although there are campaigns for reviews about casinos there are many people who post honest reviews.
Whether it be good or bad they do post honest reviews but again the amount of such people are very low.

Just got a notification on the freebitco.in website about the new feature of buying WoF spins through RP.
Currently the price of 1 WoF spin is at 44 RP. We also have the option of exchanging the RP for WoF through rolls.
900 RP for 24 hours with 1 WoF spinf for every roll.

Witht the new feature - 24 spins = 24 x 44 RP = 1056 RP
With exchange rewards - 900 RP for 24 hours max (but we will have to spin a roll every hour which is not really feasible)

Which one do you think is the better option among the two ?
The new feature will not give you more than 1 wof per day easily, you should use multiply or betting to be able to do that.
The wof bonus is better but you should click the roll button every hour.

You are right. I didn't even notice that before you made this post. I wonder why they have restricted to get the WoF spins to just 1 a day.
At least 10 - 20 spins a day would be so thrilling.
I wish they add a new feature where we could exchange lottery tickets for the WoF spins. That would be really amazing.
2550  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto stuck in sports betting site, now they want KYC on: February 18, 2022, 04:26:04 PM
If you do have friends in other countries which are not restricted from accessing the casino then it is definitely worth to try it.
If you don't do it then you have lost the funds either way. So why not ask the friend and try to get whatever is left for you.

2552  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin doesn't have a bright future anymore on: February 18, 2022, 05:50:59 AM
I still wonder why people think bitcoin doesn't have a bright future and can't generate enough profits.
Because of the common reasons like, they haven't bought the dip. They miss the run, they have sold it for an altcoin that goes negatively.

Not even 20% of the world population is into bitcoin yet and we can only imagine the price if bitcoin reaches that threshold.
Although altcoins have a brighter chances of giving bigger returns bitcoin still provides a safer chance of getting decent returns.
True, there's more safety if you're wanting an asset to grow in the long term. Investing in bitcoin needs patience and maybe these people have lost that and eventually have to sell their bitcoin for some reasons. And for the altcoins, it's true that they can give more profit depending on the development of it. But being wise and with proof, bitcoin is also doing the same but unlike with those alts, it's more stable.

More stable in terms of risk but not in price. The volatility is still so fresh for bitcoin but still it has proven to be a safe haven for many.
The best strategy to invest in bitcoin is to buy and forget about it for some years. It has outperformed many other assets both physical and digital.
Criticism towards bitcoin can never stop and there will always be people think less about bitcoin and regretting at a later point of time of how they missed the chance.
2553  Economy / Economics / Re: Your opinion on side jobs on: February 18, 2022, 05:46:40 AM
General opinion is that a side job is one that supports the main income of an individual, often times perceived as something that brings little money to add to what you make from your day job. If Mr X earns better from a side job when compared to the income from his career option, does the side job still qualify to be called a side job?

A side job is still considered as a side job even if it is paying more than the day job.
A day job gives you a stable income on regular basis and that makes it more important than a side job as it is a more secure income.
A side job may not be relatively stable and requires less amount of time of work than the day job.
True. A side job usually requires less time of work and the income is unstable. But the worth of these jobs (either main or side job) are equal for me. Because its a source of income and that we should give importance. Nowadays many people are now committed to two jobs and its understandable knowing how hard the life is (inflation in everything) and everyone needs to strive.

Yes ofcourse, jobs are important because those are the ones that give us our bread and butter to survive our daily needs.
Side jobs are equally important as day jobs because it fulfills our side expenses and also sometimes help us save an extra buck.
It is the sole reason why we opt to do a side job at first place and otherwise we wouldn't be doing it at all.

2555  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade-in between the lines on: February 17, 2022, 03:58:14 PM
It quite clear to all of us that trading is not an easy task and if an individual lack a good trading skills it may bead to loses, this aspect has made many to decide to hold rather than trading to avoid mistakes.
But in doing that I have observed that while the crypto currency market is highly volatile so if you can flow with the wave of the market one can still make good profits but again its not a guarantee and not an investment advice.
DO YOU AGREE WITH THIS STAT?

Trading is based on probabilities and speculation. If you can speculate well only then you can be able to make decent profits from trading.
A volatile market is often good for trading but it might also lead to losses if you have bad trading skills.
You must also have good skills on when to enter and exit a trade when you are trading between the lines in a specific range.
The most important thing is to know when the range has been broken because that is where many lose their profits.
2556  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What coin you like trading future on: February 17, 2022, 03:07:34 PM
Is it bitcoin or altcoin, if it is altcoin, can you specify?

Bitcoin price is volatile but altcoins price are more volatile, future trading can be leveraged up to 100x for bitcoin and coins like ethereum while 50x for other available altcoins. Which coins have you been using and which is bringing you profit?

What I mean is BTC/USDT or ALTCOIN/USDT.

I think what that matters is the leverage used, but I have been experiencing liquidation at 3x leverage for altcoins in extreme volatile market, when I calculated it for bitcoin, the trading fund would not have liquidated if i used bitcoin because the liquidation price is still most of the time far from the price.

I will not talk more about manipulation because I have seen bitcoin future market price manipulated in a way many people's coins are liquidated in just few minutes, but I think I have seen it happened in bitcoin future market ones on the exchange I am using but this happened frequently with altcoins in volatile market.

Although I have stopped trading futures I would still like to share my experience. I used to like trading futures on altcoins which had low price like FTM and SRM.
I used to have 5x leverage and used to patiently wait to hit targets but eventually made losses.

2557  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why a single bet is better than a multi bet. on: February 17, 2022, 02:58:56 PM
It actually depends on the odds. Sometimes single bets are more profitable since they provide higher odds and returns.
But other times multibet might be more beneficial since we can cover a wide range of bets and generate cumulative net profits.
We just have to place our bets correctly and should have the skill to decide which bet is the better one for that particular game.
How much is the max odds in a single bet? But, that's only one but if you can combine each high odd bet into a multibet, I could say that multi bet still have a higher odds so the returns are also high although the chance to hit them all can be very slim. It also needs a massive luck not just the skill.

It is not the higher odds that can make you much profit but it was the lowest odds in my opinion because you can hit them easily. If you still think that what you win is small, then just do it again, bet and won until you reach your desired profit. If you want the process to become faster, you just need to increase your base bets a little more.

I have only bet on events where if we place a multi bet then only one of those bets are won and the rest turn into dust.
Hence multi bet provides lower returns but at the same time gives a higher chance of winning since we cover a wider range.
I think whether it be single bet or multi bet, both have their own advantages as well as disadvantages.
2558  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CrazyTime and Monopoly, should we trust? on: February 17, 2022, 02:52:54 PM
It's hard to trust such live casinos because we don't know what's happening in the backend.
We can never tell how corrupt the people can be. May be the casinos would have paid enough to the authorities to let them manipulate the rolls.
This is why I prefer online gambling which has a provably fair system so that everyone can verify that their rolls are in fact genuine.

In this case it is good to have a review about what the casino did in the starting of their business because some may done badly to customer and have had negative review but at another time they have good review again because they have changed. Trust and confidence in a casino is sure a need that players want to see in other players.

Getting reviews of a casino is a good way to get a basic judgement of casino but we cannot determine if it will remain the same in future.
Things are different if the casino has a long term good reputation, in that case we can have good trust on them.
But if a casino has good reviews only for the short term then it still comes under the risky category.
We have seen cases where scamsters initially build trust by giving good services and then scam their users out of nowhere.

2560  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Signature campaign earnings and monthly income. on: February 16, 2022, 01:01:30 PM
-Will you quit your job if in a month, you earn more from signature campaign than you do get from working 8am - 4pm?

Definitely no because signature campaigns aren't really stable. It might run for a week or two or may be it might run for a year or two.
But nobody can say how long it may lost. So quitting your day job will just be foolishness.

Quote
-Is it okay to hinge your life on the earnings you get weekly from your signature campaigns?

It really depends on where you live and the cost of living in that territory. It also depends on how well you are at money management.
If you spend money lavishly you would hardly be able to live off signature campaign earnings.
Spending money while saving enough is really hard from these earnings.

Quote
-Has the existence of signature campaigns on this forum eliminated the need to work offline for other people?

It hasn't eliminated the need of offline work but it has helped many people stabilize their total monthly income.
People earn a decent income from signature campaigns and that can help them to manage expenses but not solely depend on it.
