I think you've forgotten a big category of users : the spammers. People only posting for money and nothing else. They don't care about the topic they are posting on, have no experience with it but don't hesitate to create a fake one if necessary. They usually don't read the other answers of the thread except a random couple of ones they use to inspire their own posts which inevitably leads to repeat what it has been said several times before and to exasperate the legit readers. A part of them likes to write long posts with useless and off-topic details or one same idea repeated several times in a row with different words, naively hoping not to be spotted as a spammer by doing that. Many come from poor countries but not all of them.

Do you know if there is a way to use a passphrase with this HD seed like we can do with BIP39 memonic seeds? With a Bitcoin Core feature or an external tool.
So far, there's no BIP to encrypt HD/BIP 32 seed with password/passphrase. The other option is use common encryption algorithm (such as AES-256) through offline/open-source tool such as https://cryptotools.net/aes. But since it's not standard/popular method to encrypt HD/BIP 32 seed, you also need to write down how to encrypt/decrypt it and backup relevant software/tool. That's what scares me, having a hidden bug when using the tool to encrypt the seed or not being able to find a good version of the tool when I want to decrypt the seed in several years. That's why I'd need a very standardized and reliable tool to encrypt a HD seed. BIP38 seemed perfect for that. |

Recent releases of bitcoin core are hierarchical deterministic (HD) wallets, and you can use the HDSEED to backup and restore the wallet. An easy way to obtain your HD seed and back up several private keys (including imported ones) all at once is to use dumpwallet. That will create a clear text file with a bunch of your private keys and associated addresses, but one key is of particular importance; it'll be labeled "hdseed1." It's a WIF private key, and it can be used to restore a bitcoin core HD wallet with all the other addresses and change addresses. It will not restore any private keys that were imported using importprivkey or importmulti.
Generally speaking I shy away from storing my backups digitally. I don't trust the archival longevity of digital media. The backups I trust most are seed phrases written on paper. A private key or a QR code on paper is also extremely robust, in my opinion. The most important thing, however is redundancy.
I agree with you a file can easily get corrupted, by a virus, a magnetic/electronic incident or a bug. So personally I think it's safer to use a HD seed when I can. I really didnt expect that something like this can happen in 2022 and it gives me more urge to share the story and awful experience i had with 1xbit gambling site ( https://1xbit1.com). Even when i am not a fan of lawsuits or sharing "Business" information publicly, attitude of 1xbit gave me no other choices than to share this with everyone who could also get affected and scammed just like I got. On 3rd of June, 11:00pm UTC i created an account and got my id (several numbers as usual) and created my passport. Shortly after that I deposited 4000 USDT as TRC20 The transaction was credited shortly after i did the deposit. I decided to bet on WNBA match with odds approximately 1.65 with total amount of 4000 USDT. Important to say that the max amount to bet was around 16,000 USDT so I did bet way lower than max limit. The match went well and my match was successful and i won the bet. Shortly after I received my winnings (total 6592 USDT) i decided to withdraw whole amount to my TRC20 USDT address. You can see from the screenshots that whole winning amount was credited to my account without any problem. However, shortly after that my withdrawal was declined (no reason specified). I woke up in the morning (i submitted a withdrawal and went to sleep while the withdrawal was supposed to arrive to my provided address) and realized i dont have the money in my address. Therefore i tried to log into my account only to find out the username and password doesnt work. My account was simply disabled and no reason given. I then tried to reach out to live support to check what the problem is and how to access my account. I was told to send a message to security department (email) which i did. After i explained my problem i was told that the company DECIDED TO STOP ANY COLLABORATION WITH ME DUE TO VOLATIONG T&C. No other specifics were given. I was also told (check screens) that i can withdraw deposited amount only (thank god, really appreciate you @1xbit just stole my 2650 usd and not even the 4000 usd deposited). I tried to find out how i violated the T&C, however no other answers were provided by the 1xbit company. I am sure i havent violated anything. Therefore i consider the match that was in the end voided as a pure robbery by 1xbit and i am ready to take a legal action. If you want to provide some kind of service you must play by rules and fair. Everyone is your friend (in gambling) when youre losing money. Once you start winning, hidden T&C are being shown to you to excuse any unfair play by the casinos and gambling sites. I am a witness and victim of this pure steal and robbery and can not this let go without any action. Even if this saves one person from not using 1xbit i will be glad. I got some blank pages that I needed to refresh several times before getting the normal display. The blank page problem is mentioned on this link: But that's not the problem I'm having. Thank you for the link but my browser works very well with other websites so I don't understand why I would need to use the "Incognito mode" or to delete my cookies and the cache as recommended in the link each time I want to use Kraken. This is not a normal way to use a website. Moreover I'm a little bit surprised by that Our website is tested with and should work with most modern web browsers (this does not include Microsoft Edge or Internet Explorer).

Why is kraken.com so very slow nowadays? Every click that has something to do with security takes about 30 to 60 seconds. Examples: - Entering 2FA

During this time, there's a process "Isolate Web Content" that takes 100% CPU. I don't know what it's doing with all this CPU time, but it makes the website almost impossible to use. A simple order that should take no more than a minute to complete now takes about 15 minutes. I know my laptop isn't the latest model, but most sites work just fine. If he didn't receive its last weekly bonus through the normal telegram link but through a drop into its vault there is obviously something wrong with his account. As the members above explained to you, you cannot complain about the free money, this is just good faith, but if you face a problem, for example, if they confiscate your money for no reason, then you can file a lawsuit there in the accusations section.
You can also write in their thread and ask why the bonus level has been reduced. Maybe there is something wrong with the system or you don't deposit regularly.
I don't think it's up to someone advertising a casino in his signature to say if another member can or cannot "complain" about it. It sounds you are trying to silence a real complaint from a customer of your casino on the forum.
