He miss the country and the country also miss him. If he those not miss the country he wouldn't have visited the country, but the country really lost a very great talented player, the government should arrest the coach that was asking for money and he should be punished so that things like this wont happen in future again. coaches are suppose to build the team with the most talented players, and they shouldn't build the team due to the players that can pay them.

I think coming to Cameroon is to show support for the father's country to help do some charity work there, I don't think he regretted not playing for Cameroon but only explained why he didn't. Mbappe should be happy with himself I believe because even if he had parted with such money at that time, he may need to pay more at a certain stage if he wants to play in a bigger tournament for Cameroon. Moreover, it shows that the FA is not fair with their players and their judgement may have affected him in higher tournament selection but France didn't collect money from him and gave him the better rope to climb into stardom

the government should arrest the coach that was asking for money and he should be punished so that things like this wont happen in future again

A corrupt system doesn't go after offenders because they are all birds of same feathers. Even if they do out of pressure, the offender will bribe their way out. Corruption shows the rot going on in a system.

You can convert dollar to Naira but not the reverse. These people just dey try make this Naira strong in a wrong way. If we look that format well, na the koko be that, to make Naira strong no be by all these give money banana be the thing. If them do the right thing on to manufacturing sector, fix light, run refinery well, begin export, get reserve etc , you go see say na oyibo go dey change there dollar to naira take buy market from our hand. This things na small thing but them dey embezzle the money. Most countries wey don develop for our eyes like China, India, Singapore, Indonesia, South Korea etc them don try and succeed.

The thing wey I just see about the dollar na this unification of price, if some politicians no still dey buy cheap from yonda .

In America, you can't be tried for the same crime twice.

Cool

It can be challenging to trust the court's decision when they incarcerate someone for a murder where no body was discovered. Without any concrete evidence to establish the death of the alleged victim, except for a case of mistaken identity involving a different corpse, it becomes difficult to accept the ruling.

The likely mind of the court is to hold her in custody for sometime just to fulfill the law for someone that murdered someone. The lawyer may remind the court that she has been imprisoned already for allegedly killing the same man where she served the full jail sentence for murder. I believe the court will free her since it is the same man that he went to jail on.

I am neutral about KYC since I believe our identities had already been in the government's hands right after when our mother submitted our birth certificates, and the moment we get our requirements in applying for a job.  Aside from that, most probably our government records had been breached, getting the citizen's data.

This is a different perspective to what you are saying. Government are handling their jurisdiction separate from others, so your government have your birthday certificate or your other credentials of origin from birth as a citizen or you natiralized their but that same government does not have the birth certificate or such credentials of other persons who are not their citizens. Hence with KYC on exchange, you have exposed yourself to global identification that any government can source for your identification if they want to through the exchange. I believe this is reason some people who don't want it try to avoid it. A KYC you do with binance as a centralised exchange, the government can go through such exchange to require it incase they want it.
2545  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How real? That football players required to bribe before they are allowed to play on: July 09, 2023, 05:41:30 PM
This can happen if the team does not have a strong sponsor who can fund all the activities and training of the players on the team.

Corruption knows no bounds. It is just a selfish interest and self aggrandizement, nothing of such will be an excuse. Corruption takes any form whether sponsor or not. The case of Cameroon as reviewed by Mbappe's interview is sufficient. The national team of Cameroon won't lack such sponsor I believe because the government will provide all that was needed but few top officials will divert it into personal purse.

Cameroon lost Mbappe, in my humble opinion.  Specially since he became World famous because his role in the last world cup, facing Messi in Qatar.

I knew there was corruption within the football world, but I never imagined it could be as widespread to even affect selections and teams on adquiring talented players. I thought corruption was mostly present in high positions... Very unfortunate for developing countries where talented people live, like Brazil, Argentina, Cameroon, among others.

In the case of Brazil or Argentina which are also regarded as third world countries, theirs is still fair if they do such obnoxious stuff because they still perform better during world tournament. Maybe in there own case, most of the players are gifted and it doesn't affect them as such. Or maybe they have had issues of selection during tournament that they didn't perform to expectation.

That is how you lose on a great player like Mbappe when you are a corrupted country like Cameroon and many other African countries lose such star players exactly because of the same reason. Also in many other third countries in the world the same is happening and I think these type of interviews should have much wider visibility so those people who asked for money would be seeing how big these players become and stop doing it.I know that it is much more difficult to achieve because we are talking about poor countries but these poor countries should start to think bigger for themselves. It would be nice to see such a player playing for Cameroon, not that I don't like seeing him play with France.

Yeah this type of stories happen in third world countries and they lose valuable players who want to give all to the club or national team. The thread is bad. When you place money first in whatever you want to do then the best will elude you. This is appalling and the reason that third world countries struggle in football especially countries from Africa.

Those at the tops only care about their own immediate financial benefit and not care where the player gets to tomorrow with the myopic thinking that they have benefited from the player. I will still blame the government when it comes to corruption.
2548  Economy / Gambling discussion / How real? That football players required to bribe before they are allowed to play on: July 09, 2023, 03:03:20 PM
Hey guys, reading little story on Kylian Mbappe who on Thursday visited Cameroon on a charity with the deaf and other familiarization visit to his father's home town. He spoke with Joseph Dion Ngute, the Cameroon's Prime Minister, he was honoured visiting and I believe this is just like the humanitarian work some influential people do

But one striking revelation was that he would have been a cameroonian player if they weren't asking his father to pay them money before allowing him to play while he still trying to fix his career and French allowed him without payment.

Quote
"At first, I wanted my son to play for Cameroon, but someone at the Cameroonian Football Federation charged me money that I didn't have to make him play," he explained. " The French charged nothing."

I have also heard of some local stories about how some coaches require money from new footballers before they allow them on trier both in their clubs and national teams. Is this happening globally for new players who are still seeking to find a spot in clubs?

Do you think Cameroun miss Mbappe or it is Mbappe that missed Cameroun ?

2549  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are successful gamblers seen as addicts? on: July 09, 2023, 01:42:04 PM

It’s very hard to be on profit in gambling while playing continuosly due to house edge. Most of the successful is focus on the quality of their bets for a better accuracy than placing multiple bets with less analysis.

I think house edge is not just the only reason that an addict or consistent bet player would fail. Yes casinos are designed in the way that you will lose more than you will profit, therefore a consistent player is already design to fail more times except with the exception to win jackpot when it is his luck to win. So naturally, house edge is concluded already on that reason for losing but because addict and consistent player does that with sole aim to chase back the loses, so they will lose more but successful player is more relaxed to play less times and even when in loss, he doesn't allow the emotion to have a better part of him.
2550  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are successful gamblers seen as addicts? on: July 09, 2023, 12:40:44 PM

Now let's be sincere, will you also classify a successful gambler as an addict?

No I won't classify successful gambler as an addict and these are the reasons. First, if you are called a gambler addict it could mean you are not successful in gambling because if you understand the word addict or the way that the society identify it, it is not what is attached with someone positive and the society always have good names for what is good, people associate with success and not failure. What I think about addict is failure even if you will see some addict to be successful but rare.

Another valid point is for someone to be successful, they would have been operating professionally and keeping to the rules of gambling like understanding that if it is gambling then luck is involved, play with limits and not play just as your fingers push you to and all of these are part of the characteristics of an addict. In essence, they are different. Successful gamblers are not always addicts because they could be playing with limits and guiding their emotions.
2551  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Healthy mindset to save earnings from gambling on: July 09, 2023, 08:44:22 AM

Even with low wallet balance if we were able to win good then automatically the mindset will change from broken state to healthy state.

A low wallet balance can be pragmatically used and utilized to become a rich balance if we play with more precision and focus on the target but all still depends on our luck on the time because despite the research we conduct sometimes it doesn't favour, luck come like the wave of the wind. However, I have seen series of low balance accounts being built into rich account but the challenge is lack of management because they will lose the winning pattern and keep playing heavy until they go back low. Discipline is important in gambling.

.
The world financial system is like one big coin.
The big guys the whales the financial players have sold by now most of their assets covid 19 times they sold 75% of their assets now they wait for another pmp from the whales to sell the rest of the 25% of their asssets

In an economy, there is always a profit taking and it looks like recession in the eyes of some and others smile just like the whales took their profit after the COVID-19 and bitcoin went up to $64k. I like your analysis of one big coin.

and rest of the world financial field will be under the binance control.

The agenda for a unified exchange may not work because other countries will follow the regulation restrictions that US has adopted for binance and every jurisdiction will introduce what works for them including tax. So it will not be business as usual.
2553  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What attracted you to gambling?Share your experience whether good/bad. on: July 08, 2023, 09:00:12 PM

I was lucky to win a very big amount in a soccer match but the day I lost all my savings I almost got a heart because the pains refused to go away.

You win some you lose some is how the gambling system is. I'm sure you have learnt your lesson now from your heart pain that you don't have to gamble all you have in the hope of winning big. Winning is not a guarantee until you see the reality of it. It is illusive until you have seen your ticket in green. Throwing all inside a bet is not advisable as you have seen and I hope you have moved passed that now with your betting.
2554  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Healthy mindset to save earnings from gambling on: July 08, 2023, 06:40:03 PM
Greed is what I guess causes lottery winners to get broke after hitting the jackpot. Addiction is a major problem as it plays a major role in a gamblers spending rate. Sometimes these lottery winners might have good plans for their wins when it comes but after hitting the jackpot, they become excited and thinks that they will be lucky again to win big and wouldn't have plans towards investing the money. Instead they will go back and keep on playing till the money gets dried up due to lack of self control.

Mismanagement of funds also contribute to what you are saying. I don't know if this lifestyle is known with all gamblers or just the chronic addicts and that kind of attitude of not holding tight to winning money is why gamblers have been said not to be taken as serious people. Not planning with the rewards from the proceed of the bet means planning to fail and that explains why they say if you don't suffer to make money then you won't value the money but I take exception to that because I feel some gamblers are becoming wiser.
2555  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who is to be blamed, the gambler or the betting agent on: July 08, 2023, 05:31:55 PM

But the casino certainly won't allow someone who doesn't have enough money to gamble because the casino knows that that person has a big chance of losing compared to winning. So the casino might be able to ask for evidence from the gambler stating that the gambler really has the money, and then the casino will allow him to play gambling. And if you don't have one, the casino won't allow you to gamble, let alone place big bets. But if the casino has a feature of providing loans to gamblers, the casino must also make sure that the guarantee from the gambler is commensurate with the money to be borrowed. And if the gambler cannot repay the loan, the casino can take over the collateral.

They actually do have a strong rule on the workers not to allow bettors to bet on credit but what happens sometimes is that because a particular bettor is a friend or became close to the game house, one of the workers may fall soft for the bettor especially opposite sex. You know how the opposite attracts, and after sometime, the credit betting can start happening with repayment from time to time but it never last longer before such arrangement is unearthed and when this is noticed the worker will face losing the job or pay the debt .

People winning big and telling the stories but they don't tell you losses. Would say it is about wanting to do what others are doing. Youthful exuberance they call it right? Yeah wanted to explore, so from watching football and being a novice all around everything concerning gambling until a try to what they were doing by giving them money to stake for me from same bet slip they had analysed. It continued for some time until I started trying out myself. Of course experience comes with years  Grin

As a judge what will you do ?

I think the reasonable thing to do is to allow her go after the arrest because she has already served the jail term for the murder and won't have to be punished for it again. .

will you address the case as a fresh murder or will you consider it as a crime she already served the term?

She won't be sentenced for a particular crime twice, so I think that settles it but if she is made to go to jail again on it, that is injustice to her. She was erroneously convicted when she had not committed the crime and now that she committed it, she didn't cause the first conviction, probably the prosecution and judges were hasty to do due diligence on the case. So she should be free.

If you are using an exchange to save your coins,

Friend , the last time I checked the post you are responding to I didn't mention exchange or was I making reference to exchange wallet. You are imputing the above because I didn't mention exchange and that response was misinterpreted if you add what was not on the post.
2559  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you prefer to own a luxury watch or invest in bitcoin or other assets? on: July 08, 2023, 02:57:06 PM

it's worth noting that their appeal may diminish over time.

Watch is watch and bitcoin is bitcoin. Watches, no matter how expensive they are they are still for that purpose that they are made for. Watch is not an investment but for luxury or comfort just like by greater extent, like buying car. Bitcoin is an investment asset that can appreciate over the years.

The real reason that I won't prefer watch over bitcoin is that watch has no additional value in the future but only serve the utility it was made for but bitcoin is $30,219 as I'm posting and tomorrow you could see it in $31k and it keeps rising just like expected with assets.
2560  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Healthy mindset to save earnings from gambling on: July 08, 2023, 01:46:53 PM
If you withdraw some and leave some there is tendency that you might have a break for sometime either because you don't want to stress yourself to login into your personal account, activate your password, get email codes or phone codes and all other necessary requirements to access your wallet funds before transferring to your casino wallet.
You do not need to login with 2FA or any code if you are talking about wallet. It is very easy to transfer money from your wallet to a gambling site account. The confirmation time will even be faster if you use altcoins.

If you use an exchange and it has been long that you login, those kind of codes can be asked. But if active on the exchange, you may only be required for authentication code. Some people even have some addresses that they have whitelisted on an exchange which needs no authentication or password.

You made a wrong analysis of the intention of the post. I only made an analysis of the way a gambler can save money by withdrawing some of his money out of the casino wallet and to his own personal wallet because leaving it there and playing from it is tempting to continue playing after losing. So if he has withdrawn some away, he may decide not to refund after losing the money he left in his wallet. I understand whotnot about 2FA . Some times we could procrastinate towards getting to refund an account so that is the purpose. Such break between losing money in casino wallet and refunding can make a bettor take some break thereby saving that money.
